Over the past week, no serious changes have been noted in the course of hostilities on this sector of the front. Russian troops continue to strike the rear areas where the enemy’s air defense operations are located and the production capacities of the Ukrainian army are concentrated.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine retain their presence at several points on the left side of the Dnieper, but there is no longer any need to talk about the development of a bridgehead in any of these areas: the Russian Armed Forces, although they have not yet achieved complete success in clearing the coast, have been able to significantly complicate rotations, the supply of ammunition and food for the Ukrainian garrison on the left bank.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces, in turn, are actively preparing to defend themselves on the Right Bank, carrying out fortification measures.
Zaporozhye direction.
Here, as in the Kherson direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are preparing for defense. The reserves that went from Orekhov to the Rabotino and Verbovoy areas were called upon to slow down the rate of advance of the Russian Armed Forces to the north in order to gain additional time for preparation. They cope with this task, although not fully.
In Rabotino, Russian troops were able to firmly gain a foothold, but further advance with the liberation of the entire settlement still seems to be a difficult task. The situation changes a little more actively in the section between Rabotino and Verbov. There, the RF Armed Forces picked up a pace, albeit leisurely, and periodically carried out successful assault operations, expanding the zone of their control to the north.
Donetsk direction.
Here the Ugledarsky section came to life, where the RF Armed Forces began to be active in several directions at once. It is too early to talk about any successes, but apparently, Russian troops are preparing for further actions after the liberation of Novomikhailovka, where the Russian Armed Forces have recently had stable tactical successes.
The offensive is actively developing along the entire front line from Pobeda to Semyonovka. Where assault operations do not bring results in buildings, the Russian Armed Forces go around the fields, simultaneously clearing out the remaining "pockets" between populated areas. Vodyanoye has been liberated, between Nevelsky and Pervomaisky the Russian Armed Forces are pushing the enemy back from their established positions, and in the section between Tonenky and Orlovka the fields are also being cleared.
At the same time, there is a parallel advance to the northwest, in the direction of Umansky. The Ukrainian Armed Forces are counterattacking and actively defending themselves, but so far the initiative in this direction belongs entirely to the Russian Armed Forces. This is also evidenced by the tactical successes in Semyonovka and Berdychi, where there is a systematic ousting of the Ukrainian garrison from these settlements.
Bakhmut direction.
Here is the final stage of preparation for the assault (or the first stage of the assault, whichever is more convenient for you) of the Chasov Yar. The Russian Armed Forces are actively pulling up their flanks and testing the defenses on the outskirts of the city, improving their positions for the successful start of a full-scale assault on urban development. In the Bakhmut direction, Russian troops are gaining a foothold on the eastern outskirts of the Kanal microdistrict in the area of Chasovoyarsky school No. 77, but there is no exact information whether the school itself has come under control.

The Russian Armed Forces continue assault operations in Novomikhailovka - Russian army units managed to advance along Lenin and Sobornaya streets. The situation is complicated by the activity of enemy FPV drones in the area of ??the village, which slow down the movement of the Russian Armed Forces.

The information is also confirmed by footage published by the enemy on April 6, where assault groups of the Russian Armed Forces in the area of Shkolnaya Street and a kindergarten were hit by kamikaze UAVs.
The situation for the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Pervomaisky is worsening every day: the recent liberation of the neighboring village of Vodyanoye by the Russian Armed Forces has significantly complicated the situation of the Ukrainian formations. Nevertheless, the enemy is transferring reserves, actively using UAVs and clinging to every house, which is why heavy fighting takes place in the populated area itself.
At the same time, the situation at the Nevelskoye-Pervomaiskoye line, where Russian units are making attempts to improve their tactical position, is still unclear. And the Ukrainian formations, if they do not retreat at the risk of encirclement, may well counterattack from there.
As Russian troops advance, success in this sector will open the way to Netailovo with the prospect of a further attack on Karlovka. In turn, this will allow the front line to be moved further away from Donetsk.
