[Korrespondent] Ukrainian fighters courageously defend their positions from enemy attacks
In the morning and evening reports on April 12, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the enemy did not conduct offensive (assault) actions in the Kupyansky and Limansky directions.
The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces published operational information about the Russian invasion as of Friday evening, April 12.
During the day, 81 clashes were recorded. In total, the enemy launched two missile and 72 air strikes, and carried out 116 attacks from multiple launch rocket systems on the positions of our troops and populated areas. As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are deaths and injuries among the civilian population. Multi-storey and private houses, as well as other infrastructure facilities, were destroyed and damaged,” the statement said.
In the Kupyansky and Limansky directions, the enemy did not conduct offensive (assault) actions.
In the Bakhmut direction, our soldiers repelled 24 attacks in the areas of Belogorovka settlements in the Lugansk region; Verkhnekamennoye, Spornoye, Vyemka, Razdolevka, Chasov Yar, Ivanovskoye, Kleshchievka in the Donetsk region, where the enemy, with the support of aviation, tried to improve the tactical situation.
In the Avdeevsky direction, our defenders repelled 16 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Novokalinovo, Novobakhmutovka, Berdychi, Pervomaiskoye and Netaylovo in the Donetsk region, where the enemy tried to oust our units from their occupied lines.
In the Novopavlovsk direction, the Defense Forces continue to contain the enemy in the areas of the settlements of Georgievka, Novomikhailovka, Konstantinovka, Vodyanoye in the Donetsk region, where the enemy tried to break through the defenses of our troops 19 times.
In the Orekhovsky direction, the enemy, with the support of aviation, attacked the positions of our defenders three times in the Staromayorsky area of the Donetsk region.
In the Kherson direction, the enemy does not abandon his intention to oust our units from the bridgeheads on the left bank of the Dnieper. During the day, he made five unsuccessful attacks on the positions of our troops in the area of the village of Krynki, Kherson region.
During the day, the Defense Forces' aviation carried out strikes on 12 areas where personnel, weapons and military equipment were concentrated and four enemy anti-aircraft missile systems. Also, one X-59 guided aircraft missile was destroyed by Ukrainian air defense forces and means. Units of the missile forces destroyed two enemy air defense systems and one electronic warfare station.
Let us remind you that the morning report of the General Staff also reported that the Russians stopped the assaults in two directions - Limansky and Bakhmutsky.
It was also reported that from February 24, 2022 to April 12, 2024, the total combat losses of Russian troops on the territory of Ukraine are approximately 451,730 people.
