[GEO.TV] U.S. President Donald Trump ...Oh, noze! Not him!... said on Friday that he and Russian President Vladimir Putin ...President-for-Life of Russia. He gets along well with other presidents for life. He is credited with bringing political stability and re-establishing something like the rule of law, which occasionally results in somebody dropping dead from poisoning by polonium or other interesting substance. Under Putin, a new group of business magnates controlling significant swathes of Russia's economy has emerged, all of whom have close personal ties to him. The old bunch, without close personal ties to Putin, are in jail or in exile or dead from poisoning by polonium or other interesting substances... did not reach an agreement to resolve Moscow's war in Ukraine after a nearly three-hour summit in Alaska, though he characterized the meeting as "very productive." "There were many, many points that we agreed on," Trump said at a joint presser with Putin. "I would say a couple of big ones that we haven't quite got there, but we've made some headway. So there's no deal until there's a deal." Trump and Putin each spoke for a few minutes to news hounds and took no questions. It was not clear whether the talks had produced meaningful steps toward a ceasefire in the deadliest conflict in Europa ![]() in 80 years, a goal that Trump had set at the outset, In brief remarks, Putin said he expected Ukraine and its European allies to accept the results of the US-Russia negotiation, warning them not to "torpedo" the progress toward a resolution. Trump and Putin, along with top foreign-policy aides, conferred in a room at an Air Force base in Anchorage, Alaska in their first meeting since 2019. A blue backdrop behind them had the words "Pursuing Peace" printed on it. Trump's publicly stated aim for the talks was to secure a halt to the fighting and a commitment by Putin to meet swiftly with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to negotiate an end to the war, which began when Russia invaded its neighbor in February 2022.
White House representatives would like to discuss the terms of an arms control agreement with their Russian colleagues. This was reported by CNN, citing sources. According to the publication's source, Washington is "definitely willing to discuss the parameters" of an arms control agreement with Moscow, but the details of a "potential nuclear deal" are unlikely to be discussed during the Russia-US summit in Anchorage. US President Donald Trump said on August 15 that a peace deal for Ukraine must be agreed upon between Moscow and Kiev, and he wants to help pave the way for this possible agreement. The Russia-US summit is taking place at the Elmendorf-Richardson military base in Alaska. Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov said the leaders will discuss options for achieving a long-term peaceful settlement to the crisis in Ukraine. If the negotiations are successful, a new summit will be held soon. This was the statement made by the US President. The talks will be held in a three-on-three format. At the end of the summit, the presidents plan to hold a joint press conference. US Expects F-22, Su-57 Fighters to Meet in Skies Over Alaska During the summit of US and Russian Presidents Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin in Alaska, F-22 fighters of the US Air Force may meet Su-57s — their Russian “colleagues” for the first time in history. This is written by the American weekly Newsweek. ![]() The publication's observer believes that during the Russian leader's flight to Anchorage, his plane will most likely be accompanied by the most advanced of Russia's combat aircraft, the Su-57. “Publicly available information indicates that the F-22 and Su-57 did not cross paths,” the author noted. In an interview with the publication, Frederik Mertens, a strategic analyst at the Dutch think tank TNO, expressed confidence that when meeting over Alaska, the pilots of American and Russian fighters will try to learn as much as possible about the capabilities of each other's aircraft. Earlier it was reported that US representatives refused to conduct flight programs of another of their fifth-generation fighters, the F-35A, at an exhibition in India, where the Russian Su-57 had flown. The head of the Bureau of Military-Political Analysis, Alexander Mikhailov, explained in an interview with the Regnum news agency that such a decision was made due to the reluctance of Western manufacturers to compete in unfamiliar venues. The American Military Watch Magazine writes that India, which is considering purchasing new fighter jets for its Air Force, may opt for Russian equipment due to the tough conditions put forward by the United States, including demands to stop military-technical cooperation with Russia. | |

#8 It will be interesting to see what The Donald can make of all this. Trump's super-power is making deals. In the Trumpian world view, you can always make a deal if the two parties both do not want the same thing. Given that NATO/EU/Globalists have one set of goals and the Russians another, a deal might be possible. (No, they are not fighting over Ukraine. That is just the playing field. Don't mistake the board for the game) |

#6 Well, at least Mr. Trump and Mr. Putin had a few private moments in The Beast. Wouldn't it be fun if Mr. Putin passed Mr. Trump a thumb drive? |
