Ebola kills senior doctor in Liberia
2014-07-28
[ARABNEWS] One of Liberia's most high-profile doctors has died of Ebola, a government official said Sunday, highlighting the risks facing health workers trying to combat the deadly disease.

Dr. Samuel Brisbane is the first Liberian doctor to die in an outbreak the World Health Organization says has killed 129 people in the West African nation. A Ugandan doctor working in the country died earlier this month.

The WHO says the outbreak, the largest ever recorded, has also killed 319 people in Guinea and 224 in Sierra Leone.

Liberia has shut its borders, Reuters reports here

and rooters again here says they evacuated the entire Nigerian hospital where the plane victim died.

but as to the flight where he vomited and had diahorrea:

"David Heymann, head of the Centre on Global Health Security at London's Chatham House, said every person who had been on the plane to Lagos with Sawyer would need to be traced and be told to monitor their temperature twice a day for 21 days."

but they haven't traced all the passengers let alone the staff, cleaners and baggage handlers....

in 3 weeks who knows where it will be...
