| IS kidnaps ten former policemen in Kirkuk |

| KIRKUK A security source in the province of Kirkuk said that the elements of the Islamic State (IS) kidnapped ten members of the police and the awakening hwo declared their repentance after the events of the 10th June in western Kirkuk. The security source said that the elements of the (IS) have abducted ten members of the police and the awakening in Hawija 55 km west of Kirkuk, on the pretext of cooperation with the government and forming an armed faction to fight them, after they declared their repentance in last June after the fall of the towns south and west of Kirkuk. It is said that the (IS) stepped up abductions, arrests and assassinations in the last two weeks, under the pretext of cooperation with the security forces and to prevent the people from forming armed forces to fight them. |
