[Ynet] Police tossed in the slammer

a 24-year-old teacher from Umm al-Fahm on Monday, who is suspected of affiliation with a terror group or an illegal association. An ISIS flag, computers, and jihadi literature was found in the suspect's home.

During his interrogation the suspect admitted that he brought the material from Jordan. A Hadera court extended his detention through Wednesday.

Last week, another resident of Umm al-Fahm was arrested. Ahmed Shurbaji, a 23 year old, was convicted of illegally entering Syria and partaking in banned military training, including with the bully boy group ISIS.

The defense said that the court had no jurisdiction on the matter, claiming it was selectively enforcing the law.

However,
a poor excuse is better than no excuse at all...
the court accepted the position of the prosecutor, ruling that "leaving to take part in military training in any rival nation, in general, and in Syria, in particular, under the authority of ISIS specifically, presents a security offense which carries great danger to the defense of Israel."
