| Alexandria University clashes claim one life |

| [Iran Press TV] A student protester has succumbed to the wounds he sustained during a crackdown by security forces in the Egyptian city of Alexandria. Hospital officials said on Tuesday that 19-year-old Omar Sherif had been in a critical condition since October 15, when he was shot during a university campus protest. Sherif fell into a coma after being shot with birdshot in the head and neck. Dozens of other students were also injured on the Alexandria University campus as Egyptian riot police used force against students. The demonstrations at Alexandria University began on October 14, when some 500 students gathered to show anger at the new security measures at the university. The protesters were also demanding the release of fellow students nabbed Drop the rosco, Muggsy, or you're one with the ages! during previous anti-government demonstrations. |
