| Stabbing Prevented At Tomb Of The Patriarchs | ||

[IsraelTimes] 17-year-old Paleostinian girl carrying a knife was tossed in the slammerYez got nuttin' on me, coppers! Nuttin'! Friday morning at the Tomb of the Patriarchs in the West Bank city of Hebron after admitting she planned to stab Israeli security personnel at the site. The girl arrived at a security checkpoint at the entrance to the holy site, sacred to both Jews and Moslems, at around 8 a.m., but refused to be searched. Police at the site told her she must either agree to be searched or leave the premises. After a few minutes of arguing, the girl pulled a knife out of her bag and threw it on the floor. She was then detained and told officials she had intended to carry out a stabbing attack at the site.
Security forces were searching the area Friday morning for the assailants. In another incident on Thursday evening, shots were fired at an Israeli car near the settlement of Na'ale, northwest of Ramallah. The driver was unhurt and expeditiously departed at a goodly pace. The assailants remain on the lam. On Tuesday police said a stabbing in Jerusalem's Old City Monday evening was nationalistically motivated, rejecting earlier reports the violence had been the result of a brawl. In that incident, two Jewish men who had left the Shuvu Achim yeshiva in the Old City and headed toward Jaffa Gate were assaulted by four Paleostinians. One of the victims, 45, was stabbed in the abdomen and moderately maimed, while the other, 32, was hit with a blunt object. The men escaped and managed to reach a cop shoppe, from which they were taken to Shaare Zedek hospital. Border Police later arrested four Paleostinian teenagers in connection with the attack.
