| Houthis intends to form a presidential council within hours |

| [YEMENONLINE.INFO] Yahya Al-Houthi ...a Zaidi Shia insurgent group operating in Yemen. They have also been referred to as the Believing Youth. Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi is said to be the spiritual leader of the group and most of the military leaders are his relatives. The Yemeni government has accused the Houthis of having ties to the Iranian government, which wouldn't suprise most of us. The group has managed to gain control over all of Saada Governorate and parts of Amran, Al Jawf and Hajjah Governorates. Its slogan is God is Great, Death to America™, Death to Israel, a curse on the Jews... member of Yemen parliament and the brother of Al-Houthis leader Abdulmalik Al-Houthi said that the the expanded National Council , which called for a meeting in Sana'a by Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi during the past two days will be announced Sunday the formation of presidential council and new government with choosing the head of the Presidential Council, and the appointment of General Commands Army. Al-Houthi's statement came in the light of the continued meetings between the political forces, with the participation of representatives from the Houthi group to search for consensus to form a presidential council after outgoing President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi's refusal to abandon resign, calling to resort to constitutional solutions. |
