| US judge denies asylum for Afghan army officer who fled training |

| [Khaama (Afghanistan)] An Afghan National Army (ANA) officer who had vanished during a training exercise in United States to avoid returning to Afghanistan was denied asylum by an American immigration judge on Friday. Maj. Jan Mohammad Arash had claimed that his life was under threat in Afghanistan where he was receiving threats from teh Taliban group. He had vanished along with two ANA officers ‐ Cpt. Mohammad Nasir Askarzada, and Cpt. Noorullah Aminyar late in September last year. |
