Airstrike in Yemen kills 36 police commandos
2015-05-28
[FOXNEWS] Yemen's Health Ministry has raised the corpse count from a Saudi-led Arclight airstrike that targeted a sprawling police camp in the capital, Sanaa, earlier in the day, saying 36 commandos were killed.

The ministry -- which is controlled by Yemen's Iranian catspaws known as Houthis -- says at least 100 members of the force were also maimed. It gave no further details.

The camp is run by commanders loyal to ousted Yemeni President President-for-Life Ali Abdullah Saleh

who has backed the power grab by Houthis. The rebels and Saleh's loyalists now control Sanaa and much of the country's north.

Security officials say 150 troops were present at the camp at the time of the Arclight airstrike. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak to the media.
