| Two suspected robbers killed in 'encounter' |

| [DAWN] GUJRANWALA: Two suspected robbers were killed in an alleged police encounter in the Model Town area on Tuesday. Both were wanted by police in various cases. They had robbed two persons, identified as Shabbir and Ashraf, in B-Block of Model Town. As they reached near the Govt Comprehensive School Model Town, they faced a police mobile and opened fire on it. A police contingent was called which surrounded the area. To escape from the area, the suspects fired at police who retaliated and both the robbers were killed in the fire exchange. Two pistols, a mobile phone and a cycle of violence were recovered from the suspects. |
