France Opposes Iran Nuclear Deal without Military Site Checks |
2015-05-28 |
[ALMANAR.LB] French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius said Wednesday that La Belle France would oppose a nuclear deal with Iran if it did not allow inspections of military sites. An agreement "will not be accepted by La Belle France if it is not clear that verifications can be made at all Iranian facilities, including military sites," Fabius told parliament. Iran's Supreme Leader Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei last week ruled out inspections at military sites. Iran and the World powers sides signed a framework agreement on April 2 and began meeting in Vienna Wednesday to start finalizing the nuclear deal which is due by June 30. |

#1 Smart of the French to demand access protocols. Here's an old bit from the Herald on how WMD inspections go wrong, and how wars start. Link found here. |
