1 wounded in car bomb attack in al-Rashdiya
(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – A source within the police force in Baghdad province said on Friday, that a civilian had been injured in a car bomb blast north of the capital Baghdad.
The source, said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com, “This morning, an explosive device that was emplaced on the road side in the area of al-Rashdiya, north of Baghdad, has exploded against a civilian vehicle, resulting in the injury of its driver,” adding that, “A security force imposed a security cordon around the area of the incident, while transferred the injured to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.”
2 die in bombing in al-Mada’an
(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – A source in the Iraqi Ministry of Defense announced on Friday, that ten people had been either killed or injured in a bomb blast south of Baghdad.
The source said in a statement obtained by IraqiNews.com, “This evening, an explosive device went off near a popular cafe in the area of al-Wardiya in the district of al-Mada’an, resulting in the death of two persons and wounding eight others,” adding that, “A security force rushed to the area of the incident and transferred the injured to a nearby hospital for medical treatment and the two dead bodies to the forensic medicine authority.”
