| Two Coast Guard personnel die in Gwadar |

| Suspected militants on Sunday killed two personnel of Pakistan Coast Guards in Balochistan’s Gwadar district. Two civilians were also injured in the attack in Jewni Bazaar area of Gwadar. “Unknown attackers targetted two Coast Guard men, and also injured two civilians sitting with them,” said a security official. The security official added that the attackers sped away on their motorcycle after the attack. The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital for medical treatment, where they were announced dead on arrival. Police and personnel of other law enforcement agencies have started an investigation in to the incident. There was no immediate claim of responsibility. Militants have conducted attacks against security forces and national installations in Balochistan, which has been plagued by an insurgency and growing sectarian killings for more than a decade. |
