’s official was killed in the province by an artillery shelling, Alsumaria News reported on Tuesday.

The source said, "Iraqi army troops shelled, using mortar cannons, locations belonging to the Islamic State in al-Sobaiat area near Hawi al-Mayta, on the borders between Diyala and Salahuddin (75 km north of Baqubah)."

"The shelling resulted in the killing of the IS official, who was responsible for the transfer of Death Eater from Hawija to the borders of Diyala official, also known as Abu Muthana, along with one of his aides," the source added on condition of anonymity.

"The Islamic State is relying on limited members to organize the raids of its murderous Moslems from Hawija to the borders between Diyala and Salahuddin," the source further explained.

Noteworthy, border areas between Diyala and Salahuddin are characterized by significant Islamic State’s presence.
