| 6 Taliban insurgents die in airstrikes in Kunduz |

| At least six Taliban insurgents were killed in an Afghan security forces airstrike operation in northern Kunduz province on Tuesday night, officials at 209 Shaheen Military Corps said on Wednesday. In addition, six other Taliban insurgents were wounded. The incident happened in Imam Sahib district of the province. The Afghan Air Force targeted insurgent safe havens, a spokesman for 209 Shaheen Military Corps, Nasratullah Jamshidi said. “Three safe havens of the insurgents and their weapons storage facility were destroyed in the airstrikes,” Jamshidi said. However, he did not provide further details about the airstrike. The Taliban have not yet commented over the airstrike. |
