#2  Good, these rioters are organized and there is funding. They should get prosecuted under RICO.

#4  There is precedence for this base. The pro lifers were charged under RICO for blocking access to abortion clinics. In 1994 the court ruled that the act does not have to be around monetary gain. These guys meet the criteria. Second note is any party can charge RICO act violations in civil court, it does not have to be a fed to press charges.

Gun Violence at Bernie Sanders Supporter’s Concert
[FREEBEACON] A New York City concert by Bernie Sanders
...The only openly Socialist member of the U.S. Senate. Sanders was Representative-for-Life from Vermont until moving to the Senate for the rest of his life in 2006, assuming the seat vacated by Jim Jeffords...
supporter T.I. turned violent before the rapper even got on stage as gunshots killed one and injured three, according to reports.

The incident started backstage where the rappers performing in acts before T.I. were gathered but spread onto the main stage causing panic at the concert venue, according to the New York Post.

The carnage began in the green room of the Union Square venue at about 10 p.m. while the opening act -- rappers Maino and Uncle Murda -- were performing, according to law-enforcement sources.

The gunplay then spilled into the area near the stage, causing panic among more than 1,000 rap fans packed into the music hall. [...]

The mayhem began after a fight erupted in a limited-access section on the seventh floor -- before spreading to the second floor, where the shooting took place outside the green room, a police source said.

IRS boss is just begging to be impeached
[NYPOST] Four years after the IRS
...the Internal Revenue Service; that office of the United States government that collects taxes and persecutes the regime's political enemies...
hobbled conservative groups by targeting them for extra scrutiny, the agency’s still playing politics.

No wonder Congress is looking to impeach its boss, John Koskinen.

At a House Judiciary Committee hearing Tuesday, Republican politicians gave specific reasons for their move: his lies under oath, his flouting of a congressional subpoena -- and his repeated defiance.

Koskinen’s response? Ha! He didn’t even bother to show up.

Koskinen was supposed to "fix" the IRS after the scandal erupted over targeting conservatives. Yet his real purpose seemed to be running interference, covering up information and shielding the agency (and Team Obama) from consequences.

Shockingly, he and his agency are continuing that pattern to this day: A lawsuit filed Monday by the Cause of Action Institute accuses the IRS and its boss of refusing to preserve official business electronic communications, as required by law.

The IRS and Koskinen "have a legal obligation to preserve official work communications between employees," says the group’s president, Alfred Lechner Jr. "It appears the federal records are being deleted because the IRS, in a deal with its employee union, refuses to preserve certain types of electronic communications."

The House hasn’t sought to impeach an executive-branch official other than the president since 1876 (then-Secretary of War William Belknap quit before the proceedings finished), and Koskinen whines such action against him will deter young people from government. But given his behavior, you can’t say he’s not asking for it.

Trump Reaches the Magic Number to Clinch Nomination
[ABCNEWS.GO] Donald Trump reached the number of delegates needed to clinch the Republican nomination for president Thursday, completing an unlikely rise that has upended the political landscape and set the stage for a bitter fall campaign.

Trump was put over the top in the News Agency that Dare Not be Named delegate count by a small number of the party's unbound delegates who told the AP they would support him at the national convention in July. Among them is Oklahoma GOP chairwoman Pam Pollard.

"I think he has touched a part of our electorate that doesn't like where our country is," Pollard said. "I have no problem supporting Mr. Trump."

It takes 1,237 delegates to win the Republican nomination. Trump has reached 1,238. With 303 delegates at stake in five state primaries on June 7, Trump will easily pad his total, avoiding a contested convention in Cleveland, kept in touch with the world by Obamaphone,
...was ruled by a Democrat machine from 1942 through 1971. After the river caught fire during the administration of Carl Stokes they tried a Republican, then went back to being Democrats when the party hacked up Dennis Kucinich ...

#1  I have never seen the electorate so energized. This is surely a awakening of the silent majority. No contest. The momentum only builds. I only wonder at how large the numbers will be.This will be historic. Meanwhile my liberal friends seem to be in denial. Well educated and not. They live in their own little world but wish to impose their world on all others.

#2  The voters want their country and jobs back. They understand the elites, left to themselves, are never going to give it back. Therefore they are turning to Trump not in the function of a leader but as a wrecking ball.
Well said Dale. But I will tell you most of the DC crowd is in denial, both sides. Some DC "Experts" on FOX last night said Trump does not even have a chance. He is going to win it in spite of the republican party. Imagine if the party fully supported him! For all I care about the republican party, based on their actions this year, I hope he destroys it and starts over.

#4  #2 I understand that desire to start over. With new blood it will. Many young Republicans and those outside the party see a great desire to change. This enthusiasm is contagious. In the time of IKE it was a desire to build. Jobs, family, and country.
Uncertain of Kennedy at first but then he taped that reservoir of hope for the future. Regan came close but the media and elites constantly fought him. Several administrations have been more like Nursing home caretakers. The current administration more like a spoiled wilful child. So the basic formula is sound. Leadership will change everything. The tone will be set from the top. I look for great days ahead. Why, because Trump has built an operation that employees thousands of people with great diversity. Things can go bad very fast because of the abuses and mismanagement so far. He can't do it all. He knows however how to network himself. That is the key. That will produce results that are so necessary at this time and quickly. Enjoy the ride!!.

#6  Pim, was a victim of the far left and everything we fight against. He was called a bigot, a hater, right wing extremist, Etc... Yet he was openly gay, was against Islam on the basis they would persecute women and gays. He was murdered by a liberal who was trying to shut down his policy of protecting his nation. The irony of murdering someone for protecting women and gays is telling when we look to our future. We see it in our press all the time. The left praising riots as free speech think nothing of them shouting down Trump's free speech. The world has slid into a twilight zone movie.

#8  Republicans have historic numbers and yet 6 states have yet to vote. Dale is right and the Democrats will be blindsided.

I don't know what the Republican Party will look like in a few years but Trump has already said it will be a middle class party and I think that's a good place to start. A large middle class is how the US generally keeps an even keel and we've disrupted that.
Posted by: rjschwarz || 05/27/2016 15:09 Comments || Top||

#9  I believe that Trump is in the middle of a full fledged preference cascade as touted by Insty.

There was a reason the the USSR fell so quickly and I think we're seeing a similar dynamic here. Everyone is disgusted with the DC mafia but most thought they were alone in their feelings.

Trump and the reaction to him, has shown that we're all in this together and the cascade will continue to build.

We'll see if the mandarins can stop it.

Democrats will have platform battle on Israel
[NYTimes] A bitter divide over the Middle East could threaten Democratic Party unity as representatives of Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont vowed to upend what they see as the party's lopsided support of Israel.

Two of the senator's appointees to the party's platform drafting committee, Cornel West and James Zogby, on Wednesday denounced Israel's occupation of the West Bank and Gaza and said they believed that rank-and-file Democrats no longer hewed to the party's staunch support of the Israeli government.
A pretty strawman by the New York Times journalist. It was never support of a particular government, but of the country.
[a lot of Dem voters are not staunch supporters or even mild supporters of the USA either and that would be an even more interesting platform issue]
They said they would try to get their views incorporated into the platform, the party's statement of core beliefs, at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia in July.
In 2012 the delegates booed the proposal to put God and Israel back in the platform after some Republicans noticed. This time they won't be forced to pretend they care.

#3  Here American Jews are very strong minded and seem more willing to embrace the Democrat faith than their professed religion. There are a few exceptions but too few that I have encountered. The liberal mind is a programed mind. Input exposure will only be accepted if it agrees with their thinking. Information is filtered.
Posted by: Dale || 05/27/2016 8:56 Comments || Top||

#4  According to this, as of August, 2015 American Jews divided as follows:

Democrat 49%
Independent 32%
Republican 19%

The Democrats among them skew 2:1 for Hilary.
