Congress needs to fish or cut bait. The head of EPA is acting like their boss O.
1. Declare the Director of the EPA to be in contempt of Congress. Have her thrown in jail.
2. Go to the second in command. Demand the information. Lather, Rinse, Repeat.
3. Subpoena the Director to testify and answer questions. If caught in a lie, then turn over to Federal Court. Indite for lying under oath. Rita Lavelle of EPA was convicted of lying under oath and sentenced to 6 months in jail, 5 years probation and 10K fine. Go after their pension.
It is important for congress to follow up NOW and show these lackeys that Congress means business. EPA or rather the Administration has the utmost contempt for Congress. They need to be reminded that none of them are above the law.

Notice to the executive and legislative branches: If you do not remedy these out of control unaccountable disobedient bureaucrats, sooner or later, the people will take action. Violently. And you will be targetd due to your failure to reign in these criminals.

FYI that wasn't a threat from me, just an observation that there are people ready to move on to a different box, since the first 3 don't appear to be working anymore. And once violence starts, it tends to become uncontrollable, and broadens the targets indiscriminately.
Our erstwhile government has been immersed in beltway culture so long they have lost touch and lost sight of a large segment of th nation and the willingness & capability to take violent action when deemed necessary.

Increasingly, the word Despot has begun to enter my thoughts about this unlawful president. We profess to be a nation of laws but increasingly this man feels unbound by them.
Despotism is a form of government in which a single entity rules with absolute power. That entity may be an individual, as in an autocracy, or it may be a group,[1] as in an oligarchy
The United States Declaration of Independence accused the British government of "a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object, evinc[ing] a design to reduce [the people] under absolute Despotism."
Traces of that sense grow across the country.

In a saner world, Congressional Republicans would have learned over the last 7 years how very susceptible administrative agencies are to abuse. Having learned their lesson, they would use the opportunity granted by a new administration to drastically rein in the rule making authority and extra-judicial enforcement ability of those same agencies.
Sadly, Boehner and McConnell have no problem whatsoever with the current set up.

Alaska Paul is right. I'd love to hear Trump start saying the same thing and put a big nasty spotlight on the misbehaving bureaucrats. Such a perfect example of the type of thing that has screwed our economy up.
The battle for the country goes on with the people vs the EPA
A federal judge in North Dakota has blocked the Clean Water Rule authored by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Army Corps of Engineers under the Clean Water Act from taking effect Aug. 28, 2015 in 13 states. The rule attempts to clarify which Waters of the United States (WOTUS) are overseen by the federal government. It is unclear at this time if the ruling reaches beyond those 13 states.
Although the Clean Water Act (CWA) has been in place since 1972, the new rule greatly expands the scope of waters that come under federal jurisdiction. Thirty-five states have taken legal action to try to halt the new rule, alleging the measure violates the Clean Water Act and impedes on state rights. In addition to the North Dakota ruling, federal judges in other states are still considering injunctions that would block the rule further.
The 13 states where the ruling has been temporarily halted are Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Idaho, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wyoming.
Introduced in April, Senate Bill 1140 would require the EPA and the Corps of Engineers to immediately withdraw the WOTUS rule, complete economic analyses and adhere to a certain principles when introducing any new rule. H.R. 1732 is the companion to S.B. 1140 and has already passed the full House.

The EPA, rather than being chastised, has said they'll continue ahead in the other (57-13=) 44 states. This is a ridiculous overreach that Congress should beat like it owes them money

We need a new regulatory agency, one that erases regulations and other regulators. That way, when the EPA shows up, they find out not only does that rule not exist anymore, neither does their job.
And pay the erasers extra for every regulation they completely remove and every job they get rid of. Plus bonuses and incentives....might trim the government down in a year or less.
Special bonus: Eliminating the IRS nets you 1 million/yr for life.
