“The security forces also destroyed explosive materials used for making mines,” it said.

No further details were provided and the Taliban has not commented on the operation.

KDF Discover Key Al Shabaab Hideouts Inside Boni Forest
[RADIOSHABELLE] Officers conducting the ongoing multi-agency security Operation Linda Boni in Lamu county have discovered and flattened three key al-Shabaab

hideouts at Lango la Simba in Witu Division of Lamu West.

According to Linda Boni Operation Director Joseph Kanyiri who was speaking during a security meeting at Mahrus Hotel in Lamu Island on Sunday, September 10, the hideouts were discovered and destroyed by Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) soldiers and National Police Service officers who are manning the area.

He added that the hideouts were being used by the hard boyz as a base to launch attacks in the area especially on vehicles plying the Lamu-Gamba-Garsen road.

It is the same place the hard boyz ambush or plant IEDs on the roads and kill passengers and motorists.

Last month, three Tana River County officials died after their vehicle was torched by suspected al-Shabaab hard boyz in the same area that is also home to the Nyongoro and Gamba.

The same day five passengers aboard a Raha bus from Malindi to Kipini were maimed when the bus was sprayed with bullets by suspected bad boys.

Just recently, two people died in back to back attacks in the area after a Toyota Probox car and a lorry were sprayed with bullets by the bad boys.

Kanyiri now says he is confident that the identification and destruction of the three hideouts this week will help bring the much-needed peace and stability in the area.

militia.

Police say the men had traveled from Bujumbura to Kenya as tourists. They then embarked on a journey that would take them through Isiolo, Mandera and later cross to Somalia.

They were stopped at a roadblock at about 4 am Tuesday and on being grilled they allegedly said they were headed for Somalia to join the terror group.

Those arrested were identified as Ntakarutimana Benerd, 41, Niyongere Yusuf, 32, Nshimirimana Fulgnce Shadady, 31 and Bizoza Abderauf, 20.

Police involved in the operation said they had intelligence to show the group’s mission and that some of them had confessed on the same.

They were taken into custody for grilling, a senior officer said in Nairobi. In June, five Kenyan youths were arrested in the same area while headed for Somalia to join the same group.

This comes as reports show a number of Kenyans who went to Somalia to fight with al-Shabaab militia want to come back to Kenya over a fallout.

A confidential police report shows the Kenyans include Ahmed Iman Ali aka Abu Zinira, together with at least five other senior Kenyan al-Shabaab fighters.

According to the report, some of his loyal followers likely to accompany him in his defection include: Juma Ayub Otit Were aka KB, Erick Achayo Ogada aka Nabhan, Ramadhan Kioko aka Pinji aka Abu Nuseiba, Suleiman Irungu Mwangi aka Karongo aka Maalim Zakariya aka Idriss and Mohammed Tajir Ali aka Wahome.

The five have been on Kenya’s police watch list and have a Sh2 million bounty each on their heads.

Houthi militias forcibly recruiting children in Yemen’s Al Mahwit
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Houthi
...a Zaidi Shia insurgent group operating in Yemen. They have also been referred to as the Believing Youth. Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi is said to be the spiritual leader of the group and most of the military leaders are his relatives. The Yemeni government has accused the Houthis of having ties to the Iranian government, which wouldn't suprise most of us. The group has managed to gain control over all of Saada Governorate and parts of Amran, Al Jawf and Hajjah Governorates. Its slogan is God is Great, Death to America™, Death to Israel, a curse on the Jews ...
militias embarked, this Monday, on a forced recruitment campaign targeting the children in the northern Yemeni province of al Mahwit, an area under their control.

Parents are afraid for the lives of their children who would be forced to fight in their ranks on their lost battle.

Local sources confirmed that the leadership of the coup militia in the province of al-Mahwit asked the Directorate of Jebel al-Mahwit and several directorates to support their fronts with 170 fighters as compulsory conscription.

The Houthi militia had forced the local authority leaders in the departments to collect the requested number of fighters by force.

Al-Mahwit Media Center said that the militias held a meeting on Monday to approve the formation of a committee to carry out the effort to impose recruitment on citizens.

The committee involves the director of the al Jabal directorate Ali al-Tayari, the secretary-general of the local council Yahya Khadeef, the Houthi leader, Abdul Jalil al-Asiri and Ali Bahr.

The Center quoted the residents of the Jabal al-Mahwit district as saying that militia members were deployed in the Directorate, with statements calling for enlisting.

When they were met with rejection and refusal from the residents, they threatened the citizens, who fear forced drafting in Mahwit and the areas controlled by the militia.

The militia fronts have witnessed a large deficit and a severe shortage in their fighters, after thousands of them were killed on the fronts and the majority fled, forcing them to resort to forced conscription and intensifying the mine layering in an effort to disrupt the progress of the national army supported by the Saudi led Arab Coalition.

Chinese imprisoned for 2 years after teaching about Islam
[Ynet] A member of a Moslem minority group has been sentenced to two years in a Chinese prison after forming online discussions groups to teach about Islam.

Huang Shike was locked away
Into the paddy wagon wit' yez!
in 2016 in Xinjiang province, three months after he formed a discussion group about Moslem worship on the messaging app WeChat, according to the official website China Judgments Online. Huang, 49, taught about the Koran, Islam's holy book, in another WeChat discussion group. More than 100 people were members of each group, the website said.

The discussion groups "disturbed normal religious activity" and violated laws about using the internet to discuss religion, the website said.

Chinese authorities have dramatically increased surveillance and police patrols in Xinjiang, fearing the spread of myrmidon Islam which they believe has infiltrated the region from Central Asia.

In a wide-ranging interview on the anniversary of 9/11, Pompeo said told Fox News’s Bret Baier: "There’s some pornography, there’s some copyrighted material. Everything other than those items will be released in the weeks ahead."

In the operation on his Abbottabad compound in Pakistan, U.S. special forces retrieved a wide-ranging stash of documents, including family letters, documents relating to Islamic history, and notes about the group's operations.

Iraq
12 ISIS Bad Guys smoked in airstrikes in Kirkuk
Kirkuk (IraqiNews.com) Twelve Islamic State militants, including cameramen of the group’s media arm, were killed in an airstrike in southwest of Kirkuk, a local source said.

Speaking to AlSumaria News on Tuesday, the source said, “U.S.-led Coalition shelled, today, an IS location in Riyadh in Hawija, southwestern Kirkuk.”

“As per preliminary information, around twelve militants, including four cameramen and editors of Amaq agency, were killed,” the source, who asked to be anonymous, added.

The air raid, according to the source, destroyed tactic units of the group.

Hawija and other neighboring regions, west of Kirkuk, have been held by IS since mid-2014, when the group emerged to proclaim an Islamic “caliphate” in Iraq and Syria. The group executed dozens of civilians and security members there, forcing thousands to flee homes.

Previously this month, news reports said 100,000 civilians are besieged in Hawija by the militant group, that could use them as human shields during the battle.

Further reinforcements from the Federal Police were sent earlier this month from Baghdad to the town, as the military command declared last week, the end of operations in Tal Afar, the militants’ last haven west of Nineveh, and the approach of the launch of offensives for Hawija.

Spokesperson of the Iraqi Joint Operations Command Yehia Rasool said, last week, there were 2000 IS militants inside Hawija.

9 Iraqi soldiers die in fighting in Tal Afar
Tal Afar (IraqiNews.com) Nine Iraqi army personnel were killed in fierce clashes with Islamic State militant group, near Tal Afar, west of Nineveh, Anadolu news agency reported.

“Around 40 IS militants on board of cars launched, late on Monday, an attack against military units of the army’s 73rd brigade at Qasabet al-Ra’ie, in Aiyadhiya, located 11 KM from Tal Afar,” Cap. Mohamed Shilah al-Ameri, of the army’s 9th division command, said on Tuesday.

“Nine soldiers, including two officers, were killed during confrontations. Four military vehciles were destroyed. Three bodies of the militants were found,” Ameri added.

In related news, eighty militants, including 15 suicide bombers, were killed during the operations carried out by the army.

A previous report by the War Media Cell said the militants were killed while the army’s 15th division, backed by fighter jets, was purging the village.

Iraqi troops were able to liberate Tal Afar on August 31. PM Haidar al-Abadi announced in a televised speech on August 20 the beginning of operations to recapture the town, which has been held by the militants since 2014, when the extremist group first emerged to proclaim its self-styled ‘caliphate’. This came after 40 days of declaring victory in Mosul, the group’s former capital, where operations lasted between October to July.

Joint troops then recaptured Aiyadhiya, located 11 KM away from Tal Afar, after invading it on August 29.

A monthly count by the United Nations Assistance Mission in Iraq (UNAMI), which excludes security members deaths, said 297 Iraqis, were killed and injured due to violence and armed conflicts during the month of ِAugust. Baghdad was the most affected province with 45 deaths and 135 injuries.

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) A paramilitary fighter was killed and two others were wounded on Tuesday when a bomb exploded in a southern Baghdad area, according to a police source.

Alsumaria News quoted the source saying that a member of the Tribal Mobilization was killed while two others were wounded when a roadside bomb went off while their patrol was passing through arab Jabbour area, Dora, south of the capital.

Violence and armed conflicts left 297 Iraqis dead and wounded during the month of ِAugust, according to a monthly count by the United Nations Assistance Mission in Iraq which excludes security members deaths. Baghdad was the most affected province with 45 deaths and 135 injuries.

The Iraqi capital has seen almost daily bombings and armed attacks against security members, paramilitary groups and civilians since the Iraqi government launched a wide-scale campaign to retake Islamic State-occupied areas in 2016. While most of of the explosions and attacks went without a claim of responsibility, Islamic State has claimed several incidents.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Syria has liberated 85% of its territory from terrorists: Russian military
[Iran Press TV] The Russian military says the Syrian government has managed to liberate 85 percent of the country from the grips of terrorist groups, some two years after Moscow began a counterterrorism campaign in Syria at the official request of Damascus.

Lieutenant General Aleksandr Lapin, the Russian chief of staff in Syria, announced the news in a presser held at Hmeymim Air Base in Syria’s western province of Latakia on Tuesday. He added that Syrian forces must now clear the remaining 15 percent of the country, which amounts to 27,000 square kilometers, of terrorists.

Lapin said Syrian troops continued the operation to free the eastern city of Dayr al-Zawr from ISIS Takfiri
...an adherent of takfir wal hijra, an offshoot of Salafism that regards everybody who doesn't agree with them as apostates who must be killed...
terrorist group, after they managed to break an almost three-year siege on the embattled city earlier this month.

"Currently the operation to free the city is ongoing. The Syrian military will soon finish off" ISIS terrorists, who "used to occupy the city’s neighborhoods," he added.

Lapin stated that Kalibr cruise missiles, launched from the Black Sea escort vessel, Admiral Essen, had destroyed ISIS’s command posts and communication networks; an effective move that disrupted control of the terror group’s units in Dayr al-Zawr province.

"Over 450 terrorists, five tanks and 42 pickups, with heavy machine guns, were liquidated during the operation," he said.

In a bid to aid the war-torn Arab nation in its war against foreign-sponsored terrorism, in September 2015, Russia started a campaign in Syria at an official request made by Syrian Hereditary President-for-Life Bashir Pencilneck al-Assad
The Scourge of Hama...
Russian warplanes, based in Hmeymim, have so far significantly aided the government troops in ridding Syria of the widespread militancy. One of the biggest breakthroughs in anti-terror offensives was made in December last year, when Syrian troops, backed by Russian air force, managed to gain full control of the city of Aleppo.

The Beatings Will Continue: Iraqi Edition

ISIS Bagman flees with payroll

Anbar (IraqiNews.com) Islamic State’s so-designated “finance minister” has fled the group’s havens in Anbar province, carrying large amounts of money allocated for fighters’ salaries, a paramilitary source was quoted saying.

Qatari al-Obaidi, a senior leader at the Tribal Mobilization, told Alsumaria News that Islamic State’s finance official, Sabbar Batoushi, fled the town of Annah, 210 kilometers west of the city of Ramadi, carrying large amounts of the group’s funds.

Obaidi said the militants declared a curfew in the town in search for the fugitive leader.

Since Iraqi government forces launched a wide-scale campaign to retake Islamic State-held regions in October 2016, the militant group has reportedly suffered financial constraints and many of it senior leaders have either died in combat or fled battlefields.

Islamic State has held the towns of Annah, Rawa and Qaim since 2014, when it proclaimed an Islamic “caliphate” in Iraq and Syria. Recent news reports have said military reinforcements were sent to areas near those towns preparing for an invasion against IS. The Iraqi Joint Operations Command has, meanwhile, declared that its coming battle would be in IS-held Hawija, southwest of Kirkuk. So far, U.S.-backed government forces recaptured Mosul, Islamic State’s former capital, and the town of Tal Afar, a major haven west of Mosul.

ISIS Turbans, 3 kidz die in bombing attack in Mosul

Nineveh (IraqiNews.com) Two female children and three Islamic State militants were killed on Tuesday in south and west of Mosul, a security source said.

“Two children were killed, while two others were wounded as an explosive from the war remnants exploded in Imam Gharbi village, Qayyarah, south of Mosul,” the source told Shafaq News.

In related news, the source said, “al-hashd al-Shaabi (Popular Mobilization Forces), backed by army jets, repulsed an infiltration attempt by IS, near Tal Sufuq, west of Mosul, on borders between Iraq and Syria. Three IS militants were killed.”

In July, Iraqi forces took over the village, which was re-invaded by the militant group just before the government declared victory over the group in the city. Later on July 10, Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi declared victory over IS militants who had held the second largest Iraqi city since 2014. More than 25000 militants were killed throughout the campaign, which started in October.

Since the city was declared free, security troops continue to comb western Mosul areas for hidden IS cells.

ISIS linked family gunned down in Mosul

Mosul (IraqiNews.com) Three persons, including a woman, were shot dead by armed individuals Tuesday in eastern Mosul for having links with Islamic State militants.

A security source told Shafaq News webste that unknown armed persons invaded a house in al-Sukkar district, northeast of Mosul, and killed three members of one family, while a fourth woman was wounded.

According to the source, the family had sons who served as Islamic State members, one of whom had been killed in battles. The woman killed in the raid was a member of the extremist group’s Hisbah (vigilantism) division.

Iraqi government forces consummated the recapture of Mosul early July. The eastern section of the city was retaken late January. Up to 30.000 members of the group had been killed in more than eight months of military operations in the city, Iraqi commanders had declared.

The Iraqi security forces had regularly combed areas recaptured from the militants in search for remnant cells. Local authorities had also declared plans to isolate militants families in rehabilitation camps, and to deport foreign nationals to their home countries.

ISIS hunts down disidents

Deir Ezzor (Syria Newa) – The Islamic state group carried out, on Tuesday, an extensive security operation in the city of Mayadin, east of Deir Ezzor, to search for foreign members who escaped the group along with their families.

Qasioun News reported that the IS militants set checkpoints and deployed patrols in the city of Mayadin, east of Deir Ezzor, to search for foreign members who escaped the group along with their families, but they were unable to capture any of the escaped members.

Meanwhile, the IS militants attacked Deir Ezzor Airbase, and managed to seize it completely, then violent clashes broke out between the militants and Syrian army forces and allied militias in the area.

It is noteworthy that the IS Emir of the so-called Islamic Police (al-Hisba), known as Abu Khuzaima Al-Tunsy, surrendered himself, along with 5 other members of the Islamic State group, late on Monday, to the Syrian regime forces.
