Misratan forces impose curfew in Sebha
[Libya Herald] A curfew is being imposed in Sebha as part of efforts by the Misratan-led Southern Operations Room (SOR) to overcome tribal violence in and around the town.

The curfew will run from 10pm to 7am, front man for SOR Ala Al-Huwaik told the Libya Herald. It was announced two days ago but was yet to implemented, he said. "We want enough time to pass for word to spread so that residents can cooperate. Also we need to coordinate with individuals who work at night, such as pharmacy staff, offering them protection."

The decision was made to prevent security threats and potential violence caused by those who wish to disturb the peace, Huwaik said.

Misratan forces entered Sebha just over a month ago to act as a buffer between clashing Tebu and Awlad Suleiman rustics. Fighting between the two groups left over 100 dead and destabilised the region allowing Qadaffy loyalists to gain a foothold at the nearby Tamerhint Airbase.

It said they were arrested after an investigation of users of the Instagram account and would be put on trial, without identifying the suspects.

The companions of Prophet Mohammed are revered by Sunni Moslems.

Bahrain has been deeply divided since a 2011 uprising led by its Shiite majority against its Sunni monarchy, which brutally crushed the revolt.

"Given PTI's commitment to rule of law and respect for the senior judiciary, the Party will end its blockade of NATO supplies," said a statement issued by the party.

"The Core Committee felt that the pressure of the blockade had already resulted in a shift in the Obama Administration's drone policy and as a result drones had been stopped for the present," it added.

Indian army trooper kills 5 colleagues, self in Indian-controlled Kashmir
[Xinhua] An Indian army trooper killed five of his colleagues before shooting himself dead Thursday inside a camp in restive Indian-controlled Kashmire, officials said.

The killing took place early Thursday at a camp at Safapoora village of Bandipora district, about 35 km north of Srinagar city, the summer capital of Indian-controlled Kashmire.

"Early today an army trooper ran amok inside the camp and fired indiscriminately killing five of his colleagues on the spot and later on shot himself dead," Lt Col N N Joshi, Indian army front man in Srinagar told Xinhua.

"We are trying to get the details behind this incident and will share them soon."

A trooper is also believed to have been maimed in the melee, sources said.

Indian army has ordered an investigation into the incident.

Indian troops stationed in Indian-controlled Kashmire, battling armed insurgency are reported to be under a lot of stress and strain.

Last year four incidents of fratricide among Indian troops were reported across the region.

Indian-controlled Kashmire is considered as the highest militarized region.

Officially India does not reveal the actual number of its troops deployed in the troubled region. However,
it's easy to be generous with someone else's money...
rights activists say there are over 700,000 Indian troops and paramilitary troops in the region fighting an anti-India insurgency that broke out in 1989.

During the past more than two decades, several incidents of suicide and fratricide among the stationed troops were reported.

Health experts say continued separation from family, long duty hours, lack of recreational facilities, poor command and control structure were usually found to be behind such incidents.
