#3  It's amusing and revealing what little Justie thinks is an insult.

He hasn't been here in years -- I wonder what suddenly got his goat? 'Cause he clearly doesn't rank a sheep, let alone a camel. Maybe he was rejected by his Daddy's alma mater, the air force academy.

#4  Then learn to be insulted, you deballed little cocksucker. Your uncle trade you in for a younger model? You walk through the mall picking up bits of paper with girls' phone numbers, knowing not one will ever get into your hand except by accident, because you are too stupid to be worth your father buying you a bride. Nobody wants a eunuch whose only skill is copy-paste-submit, not even as a Saudi figurehead while the foreigners with real skills and intelligence do the work so long as your king can afford to pay them. But fracking will put an end to the oil income in a few years, and then you all can go back to huddling round the water holes and eating bread gritty with sand.

Darfur Peacekeepers Fire Back at Attackers
[ AnNahar] Gunmen who attacked peacekeepers in Sudan's Darfur were forced to retreat after a firefight, said Thursday the UNAMID mission which has come under calls to be more aggressive.
There's obviously a shortage of punctuation marks at AnNahar.
The incident happened on Sunday when a patrol of the African Union
...a union consisting of 53 African states, most run by dictators of one flavor or another. The only all-African state not in the AU is Morocco. Established in 2002, the AU is the successor to the Organisation of African Unity (OAU), which was even less successful...
-United Nations
...where theory meets practice and practice loses...
Mission in Darfur came under fire from unidentified gunnies near Sindy, about halfway between the North Darfur towns of Malha and Mellit.

Peacekeepers "returned fire and engaged the perpetrators, forcing them to retreat," UNAMID said in a statement to Agence La Belle France Presse.

The peacekeepers were not hurt.

UNAMID did not say which country the peacekeepers were from, but South African blue helmets operate in the Malha area.
South Africans? Where are the Nigerians? At least that'd explain why Boko Haram is running amok.
"Their reaction was very good," said a source familiar with the incident. "Perhaps it's the beginning of a new more aggressive posture."
Or perhaps they haven't been read the UN Rules of Engagement yet.
Attacks against UNAMID last year killed 16 peacekeepers and resulted in "significant loss of vehicles, weapons and ammunition," a February review of the mission by U.N. chief the ephemeral Ban Ki-moon
... of whom it can be said to his credit that he is not Kofi Annan...
said.

The report said "shortfalls in the operational capabilities of several troop and police contingents," were partly to blame for limiting the mission's effectiveness in protecting civilians and aid deliveries in the region, which has suffered 11 years of war.
"Shortfalls" = higher level of graft than usual.
Ban said access restrictions imposed by Sudanese authorities also restrained UNAMID's effectiveness
."Stand there. No - where that big red circle is painted."
U.N. agencies wanted peacekeepers to adopt "a more robust posture" when faced with restrictions of movement to crisis-affected areas, he said.

The U.N. Security Council last month endorsed revised strategic priorities for the mission, including better protection of civilians and improved delivery of humanitarian aid.

"Janjaweed groups," or ethnic Arab militias, almost certainly played a leading role in two of the major fatal attacks against UNAMID last year, a U.N. panel of experts reported in February.

Sudan's government has said it is impossible that militia close to the regime have attacked peacekeepers.
"Impossible, I say! It must have been that other militia which is not so close to us. If you were downwind from them, you'd know why."

Algeria eliminates 'foreign' terrorists
[MAGHAREBIA] The ten bully boyz killed by Algerian troops Monday near the Mali border were all foreign nationals, the Council of Ministers said Wednesday (May 7th) in a statement quoted by APS.

The cabinet said the "heavily armed terrorist group" eliminated Monday in Tamanrasset consisted of "elements from Mali, Libya and Tunisia", AFP reported.

President Abdelaziz Bouteflika
... 10th president of Algeria. He was elected in 1999 and is currently on his third or fourth term. Maybe it's the fifth. He'll likely die in office of old age...
led the meeting in Algiers, the first since his re-election.

Nine 'Terrorists' Killed near Algeria-Mali Border
[AnNahar] Algerian armed forces killed nine armed Islamists near the Malian border on Monday, the defense ministry said.

The "terrorist group of nine criminals" died after festivities with the army in the Taoundert border area, 80 kilometers (50 miles) west of Tin Zaoutine in Tamanrasset province, the APS news agency quoted a ministry statement as saying.

It said eight automatic Kalashnikov-type rifles, an RPG-7 rocket launcher technical equipment and a "large amount" of ammunition were seized.

The clampdown came after "effective use of information on suspicious movements of a terrorist group," said the statement.

On Thursday, Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) had grabbed credit for an April ambush in Algeria's restive Kabylie region that killed 11 soldiers.

The attack was the deadliest on the military in years and came two days after ailing President Abdelaziz Bouteflika
... 10th president of Algeria. He was elected in 1999 and is currently on his third or fourth term. Maybe it's the fifth. He'll likely die in office of old age...
was re-elected for a fourth term.

The 77-year-old, who had cast his vote from a wheelchair, has long been seen as the leader who helped restore stability to Algeria after the devastating civil war of the 1990s.

Islamist-linked violence rocked Algeria in the 1990s but has declined considerably in recent years, although jihadists still operate in the mountainous Kabylie region.

The previously biggest attack there by Islamist groups was in April 2011, when 10 soldiers were killed at a military post in Azazga, east of the regional capital blood-stained Tizi Ouzou.

Intelligence Chief in Libya's Benghazi Shot Dead
[AnNahar] Gunmen assassinated a top government intelligence official in Benghazi on Thursday, a day after a political leader in the flashpoint city of eastern Libya rejected the election of a new prime minister.

Colonel Ibrahim al-Senussi Akila, head of general intelligence in Benghazi, was rubbed out near the Medical Center in the center of the Mediterranean city, a security source told AFP.

"He was in his car when unknown assailants opened fire. He was hit twice, once in the neck," the source said.

Benghazi was the cradle of the 2011 uprising that ousted longtime dictator Muammar Qadaffy
... who had more funny outfits than Louis XIV...
and has since been plagued by violence that has killed dozens of members of the security forces, judges and foreigners.

Forces seeking autonomy for Benghazi's Cyrenaica region challenged the central government by occupying oil terminals in the east last summer, shutting down exports.

On Monday, the parliament speaker confirmed the appointment of Ahmed Miitig as Libya's new premier, after a chaotic vote in the General National Congress highlighting tensions between Islamists and liberals.

But Miitig's election has been rejected by several politicians and Abu Sahmein's own deputy.

On Wednesday night, Ali al-Hassi, front man for a self-proclaimed autonomous government in eastern Libya, rejected Miitig's election.

"We refuse to deal with Mr Miitig because his election was illegal," Ali al-Hassi told Al-Nabaa television.

And Abd Rabou al-Baraassi, who heads the Cyrenaica body, called for a new election for premier.

Last July, eastern militias seized four key oil terminals, launching a blockade that slashed Libyan exports from 1.5 million barrels per day to just 250,000 bpd.

In April, the government struck a deal to end the standoff, which has cost it more than $14 billion (10.1 billion euros) in lost revenues.

Under that deal, the army has retaken control of two of the terminals, and the OPEC oil cartel has said it expects Libyan exports to recover to 1.0 million barrels per day by-mid June.

But negotiations are still continuing for the return of the other two.

And Wednesday's rejection of Miitig by the easterners threatens to put at risk implementation of the agreement.

The post of prime minister has proved both challenging and dangerous.

Ex-premier Ali Zeidan, voted out by parliament for failing to prevent a rebel oil shipment in March, was kidnapped by gunnies last year and held for several hours.

Last month Zeidan's defense minister, Abdullah al-Thani, was appointed to replace him.

But Thani, under whom the deal on the oil terminals was negotiated, quit after just five days, saying he and his family had been attacked.

Baraassi denounced what he said was "procrastination" by the central government in fulfilling its side of the agreement, which included paying back wages to the terminals' guards.

He accused Islamists in parliament of causing delays, saying "they want to control the ports and oil revenues in Libya through their militias."

Arabia
Yemen Army Seizes Major Qaida Bastion in South
[AnNahar] Yemen's army seized control of major al-Qaeda stronghold Azzan in the southern province of Shabwa as an offensive against faceless myrmidons entered its tenth day Thursday, the defense ministry announced.

It also announced that the army had killed four fighters it said were local leaders of the bad boy group in festivities in Shabwa and neighboring Abyan
...a governorate of Yemen. The region was a base to the Aden-Abyan Islamic Army terrorist group until it dropped the name and joined al-Qaeda. Its capital is Zinjibar. In March 2011, al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula declared the governate an Islamic Emirate after seizing control of the region. The New York Times fastidiously reported that those in control, while Islamic hard boyz, are not in fact al-Qaeda, but something else that looks, tastes, smells, and acts the same. Yemeni government forces launched an effort to re-establish control of the region when President-for-Life Saleh was tossed and the carnage continues...
province.

"Armed and security forces have entered Azzan," the second-largest city in Shabwa, the ministry said in a statement, quoting a military official.

A local government official in Shabwa confirmed that "army forces have entered Azzan without resistance" from al-Qaeda gunnies who "withdrew to Al-Koor," a mountainous region nearby.

The official told AFP that "an agreement was reached between local tribal dignitaries and al-Qaeda, allowing faceless myrmidons to withdraw without fighting in order to spare the city bloodshed and destruction".

In Abyan, fresh festivities erupted on Thursday around Wadi Dhiqa, said a member of the Popular Resistance Committees who have been fighting alongside the army.

Militants had fled Wadi Dhiqa, their stronghold, on Tuesday and had returned in bid to recapture it, the militiaman said.

"Dozens of fighters came back from surrounding mountains seeking to retake the region. They shot up soldiers who responded," he said.

The defense ministry meanwhile reported Thursday that four local leaders of al-Qaeda, among them a Kuwaiti identified as Abu Musaab, were killed in festivities with troops in the two provinces.

It identified the other three as Abu Walid al-Humaiqani, Khaled al-Oudeini and Abu Adel al-Kaldi but gave no further details.

The offensive began on April 29 in the country's rugged southern and central provinces, where a wave of U.S. drone strikes killed scores of suspected al-Qaeda faceless myrmidons last month.

The defense ministry in its Thursday statement said the hard boyz were being pushed back by government forces.

"Security and stability are gradually returning to regions which have been cleansed of terrorists" in Maifaa, a Shabwa region where troops claimed killing scores of suspected faceless myrmidons on Sunday and Mahfad in Abyan.

At least 79 faceless myrmidons and more than 24 soldiers have died in the latest fighting, according to an AFP tally based on official figures.

Authorities from May 1 however stopped providing figures on troop casualties.

Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) has been linked to a number of failed terror plots against the United States, and its leader Nasser al-Wuhayshi recently appeared in a rare video in which he vowed to attack Western "crusaders" wherever they are.

The jihadists took advantage of a 2011 uprising that forced veteran strongman President-for-Life Ali Abdullah Saleh
... Saleh initially took power as a strongman of North Yemen in 1977, when disco was in flower, but he didn't invite Donna Summer to the inauguration and Blondie couldn't make it...
from power to seize large swathes of southern and eastern Yemen.

The army recaptured several major towns in 2012 but has struggled to reassert control in rural areas, despite the backing of Death Eaters recruited among local tribes.

The suspects, who were picked up from Satkania, Lohagara and Banshkhali upazilas, were allegedly involved in violence during the last general elections and were planning to create disturbances ahead of the forth coming verdict in the war crimes case against Jamaat leader Delwar Hossain Sayeedi
...Islamic orator and politician. He was a former Member of Parliament in the National Assembly of Bangladesh from 1996 to 2008, and is one of the most prominent leaders of the Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami...

Additional Superintendent of Police NazmulHasan of Chittagong (north zone) told the Dhaka Tribune yesterday that acting on a tip-off,they arrested 20 members of the Islamic party and its student wing from Sadhonpur, Puichhari, Shekherkhil and other Jamaat-Shibir dominated areas of Banshkhali.

Moreover, three desperados from Jamaat-Shibir were held from Lohagara, while one was nabbed from Satkania, he said.

All the suspects were produced before a court yesterday.

Blast in Quetta kills at least two
[DAWN] A powerful blast on Thursday killed two persons and injured over a dozen others in Quetta, the capital of volatile Balochistan
...the Pak province bordering Kandahar and Uruzgun provinces in Afghanistan and Sistan Baluchistan in Iran. Its native Baloch propulation is being displaced by Pashtuns and Punjabis and they aren't happy about it...
province, police said.
Superintendent of Police Imran Qureshi said the hard boyz had planted explosives in a cycle of violence parked near a Nadra office in the crowded Double road area of the city.

"Two people was struck down in his prime," Qureshi said.

The intensity of the blast smashed glass windows of nearby shops and offices in the area. The kaboom could be heard from afar.

Qureshi said that it could not be confirmed what the intended target of the hard boyz was.

The blast also damaged three vehicles and three cycle of violences parked close to the Nadra office.

"Most of the victims are civilians," Qureshi said.

The injured were rushed to the Civil Hospital for medical treatment where the doctors said the condition of one of the injured was serious.

According to the bomb disposal squad, more than 10 kilograms of explosives were planted in the cycle of violence.

Police and Frontier Corps were quick to arrive at the scene. They cordoned off the area as investigation into the incident went underway.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack.

In a separate incident, two children were maimed when they touched a bomb planted on a road side in Quetta's Ittehad Colony area, police said.

Imran Qureshi, the Superintendent of Police said two children walking on the road hit a road side bomb in Moslem Ittehad Colony area of the Balochistan capital. The injured children were shifted to Civil Hospital Quetta for medical treatment.

Iraq
Attacks In Iraq, Including Cafe Bombing, Kill 15
[Iraq] A series of attacks in Iraq, including a kaboom at a cafe in a Storied Baghdad suburb, killed 15 people on Thursday, Iraqi officials said.

The deadliest of the day's attacks was the cafe bombing, which struck in the evening hours inside a small cafe in the capital's northeastern suburb of Husseiniyah, killing four people and wounding eight, police officials said.

Iraq Policeman's Booby-Trapped Body Kills Two Relatives
[AnNahar] Relatives discovered the body of a kidnapped Iraqi policeman on Thursday, but it was rigged with explosives and blew up, killing his father and brother, police and a doctor said.

The policeman was kidnapped in a village near Sharqat, northwest of Storied Baghdad, the previous day. The blast also maimed a second brother.

Militants in Iraq generally carry out boom-mobileings or bury devices in or near roads, but more rarely rig bodies and even animals such as donkeys with explosives for use in attacks.

Elsewhere on Thursday, a boom-mobile went kaboom! in northern Storied Baghdad, killing two people and wounding at least eight, while two coppers were rubbed out in Yusufiyah, south of the capital, officials said.

And last night, shelling in the city of Fallujah -- held by anti-government fighters since the beginning of the year -- killed seven people and maimed 17, Doctor Ahmed Shami said.

The violence comes as officials tally votes from Iraq's April 30 elections, amid a protracted surge in bloodshed that the government has blamed on external factors such as the civil war in neighboring Syria.

But analysts and diplomats say widespread anger in the minority Sunni Arab community over alleged mistreatment at the hands of the Shiite-led authorities has played a major role in the violence.

More than 3,100 people have been killed already this year, according to AFP figures based on security and medical sources.

The unrest is the worst since Iraq emerged from brutal Sunni-Shiite sectarian fighting that peaked in 2006-2007 and killed tens of thousands of people.

Syrian Rebels Claim Massive Aleppo Hotel Bombing
[Ynet] A rebel-claimed bombing Thursday in the northern Syrian city of Aleppo leveled a hotel that government troops used as a military base, along with several other buildings in a government-held area, activists and Death Eaters said.

Syrian state television
... and if you can't believe state television who can you believe?
said an kaboom struck a government-held area on the edge of a contested neighborhood in old part of Aleppo. The television report identified the hotel as the Carlton hotel, located next to the city's ancient Citadel.

A local activist group called the Sham News Network also reported the blast, saying that Hereditary President-for-Life Bashir Pencilneck al-Assad
Scourge of Qusayr...
's troops were based in the hotel.

The Islamic Front rebel group grabbed credit for the blast. A statement posted on its official Twitter account Thursday said that its "fighters this morning leveled the Carlton Hotel barracks in Old Aleppo and a number of buildings near it, killing 50 soldiers." It did not say how it knew how many soldiers died.

Two Britons Reported Dead Fighting in Syria
[AnNahar] Britannia was on Thursday investigating reports that two of its nationals have died while fighting in Syria.

The Britons are believed to have been fighting for the jihadist Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant

against another rebel group.

A Foreign Office front man said: "We are aware of reports and are looking into them."

Shiraz Maher, senior fellow at the International Center for the Study of Radicalization (ICSR) at King's College London, said on Twitter: "It appears two British citizens have died in Syria while fighting for ISIS. They were fighting Jabhat al-Nusra at the time."

Jabhat al-Nusra is linked to al-Qaeda.

A British teenager, Abdullah Deghayes, 18, was killed fighting in Syria last month. His father said two of his other sons were also in Syria.

Around 400 Britons are believed to have gone to Syria over the last two years, authorities believe and around 20 have died.

Rocket Hits Bekaa Town of Ain al-Jawzeh, 'Free Sunnis' Claim Attack
[AnNahar] A rocket landed Wednesday in a town in northern Bekaa, causing material damage, as the shadowy Free Sunnis of Baalbek Brigade grabbed credit for the shelling.

"A rocket fell on the town of Ain al-Jawzeh between Hourtaala and Brital, near the house of Samir Darwish," state-run National News Agency reported.

MTV said the projectile was fired from the Syrian side of the border, but NNA noted that it was launched from "the Eastern Mountain Range."

Meanwhile,

al-Manar TV said "several rockets" landed between the two towns.

The so-called Free Sunnis of Baalbek Brigade swiftly claimed the attack, saying it was "in retaliation to the Assad regime's shelling of the outskirts of the town of Tufail."

The Brigade said the rocket fire was targeted against the town of Hourtaala.

The elusive group had claimed many assaults against Shiite towns in the Bekaa and the Lebanese Army.

joined the fighting in neighboring Syria, rocket attacks have targeted several towns in the Bekaa that are considered sympathetic to the party.

Ziad Allouki, Other Leaders of Armed Fighters in Tripoli, Turn themselves over to Authorities
The hunt continues...
[AnNahar] Leaders of armed fighters in the northern city of Tripoli
...a confusing city, one end of which is located in Lebanon and the other end of which is the capital of Libya. Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn...
turned themselves over to the military intelligence, the military institution announced in a communique.

"Ziad Allouki, Saad al-Masri, Khaled Qawwas and Omar Mheish, who have several arrest warrants against them, have turned themselves in," the Army Command said in a communique.

LBCI reported earlier in the day that the four runaways have handed themselves over to the authorities.

It did not provide further details.

On Monday, Allouki's brother, Yehia, was locked away

in Tripoli.

The Army Intelligence arrested him on multiple counts of "shooting, hurling hand grenades and taking part in acts that undermine security."

Ziad Allouki was the so-called leader of the Souk al-Qameh fighting frontier in Tripoli's Bab al-Tabbaneh neighborhood.

Up until turning himself in, he went into hiding following the army and security forces' implementation of a security plan in the city.

In June 2013, the army raided an arms depot belonging to Ziad Allouki, which contained a quantity of explosives, local-made mortars, rifles, ammunition and other military equipment.

The security plan has resulted in the arrest of dozens of gunnies and runaways in Tripoli and the eastern Bekaa region, but several desperados have managed to escape, while others remain on the lam.

Fugitive Wanted on 9 Arrest Warrants Arrested in Brital
The hunt continues...
[AnNahar] Security forces locked away
... anything you say can and will be used against you, whether you say it or not...
at dawn on Thursday a runaway wanted on several arrest warrants in the Bekaa town of Brital.

"The International Anti-Theft Bureau in the Judicial Police arrested at dawn on Thursday a runaway in Brital after it was able to determine his location," the Internal Security Forces announced in a released communique.

The 31-year-old detainee was identified as Lebanese national D.M., and he is wanted on nine arrest and investigation warrants on charges of "forming a gang, being involved in fighting, kidnapping and car theft operations, thievery, and coercion."
Wanted in nine systems for mopery and dopery on the spaceways, 'e was. But 'is grey-haired old mum loved 'im.
The arrest comes as security forces and army troops have been implementing a security plan in the North and the Bekaa since April 10, to restore stability and end the state of chaos in both regions.

The plan, which was adopted by the cabinet, has been successful in arresting dozens of runaways and in seizing numerous stolen vehicles and illegal weapons.
