Burundi Arrests Brother of Suspected France Islamist Attacker
[AnNahar] Burundi said Monday they had placed in durance vile
Please don't kill me!
the brother of a man who was killed in La Belle France after a suspected Islamist-motivated attack.

A front man for Burundi's National Intelligence Service said Brice Nzohabonayo was detained in the capital Bujumbura shortly after his brother Bertrand Nzohabonayo attacked a cop shoppe in the central French town of Joue-les-Tours.

Bertrand Nzohabonayo was rubbed out Saturday after entering the cop shoppe armed with a knife, seriously wounding two officers -- slashing one in the face -- and hurting another.

"We arrested Brice Nzohabonayo on Saturday while he was staying with one of his uncles in Bujumbura. He had come from La Belle France and was spending several days here," intelligence front man Télesphore Bigirimana told AFP.

"He has been detained in our premises and he is being questioned," the official added, saying Burundi's intelligence service was in contact with its French counterparts.

He added that Burundi had told La Belle France last year that the two brothers -- who regularly visited Burundi -- should be considered suspect because of their holy warrior religious views.

In Saturday's incident in La Belle France, the assailant -- a French national born in Burundi in 1994-- cried "Allahu Akbar" ("God is greatest") during the attack

Police sources in Burundi said the brother gave no resistance as he was arrested.

Investigators said they were seeking to establish if any attacks were planned in Christian-majority Burundi -- which is a contributor to the African Union
...a union consisting of 53 African states, most run by dictators of one flavor or another. The only all-African state not in the AU is Morocco. Established in 2002, the AU is the successor to the Organisation of African Unity (OAU), which was even less successful...

At Least 20 Killed in Central Africa Clashes
[AnNahar] At least 20 people have been killed and dozens injured in the latest inter-ethnic festivities in the Central African Republic, police said on Monday.

An official who spoke to AFP on condition of anonymity said the violence broke out on Friday when mainly Christian anti-balaka militias launched an attack against rebels of the largely Moslem former Seleka
...a 'mainly' Moslem rebel force in the Central African Republic that overthrew the govt, imposed a regime of rapine and looting on the country's non-Moslem population, and was then tossed by France. They still exist, getting funding and weapons from somewhere or other, licking their wounds, complaining about the oppression of Moslems, and occasionally raping and looting someone...
alliance and Peul in the central region of Bambari.

"At least 12 people were killed in that attack," the official said.

He said ex-Seleka rebels and armed Peul herders -- also known as the Fulani -- launched a reprisal attack on Saturday on the village of Kouango, 90 kilometers (55 miles) south, killing at least eight people, injuring dozens and setting several homes on fire.

"Many residents fled to the bush and others sought refuge in the capital Bangui where hundreds of people from both regions have arrived in recent months," the official said.

Bambari, which lies near the dividing line separating the Christian south from the northern region controlled by ex-Seleka rebels, has been the scene of fierce festivities that have left more than 100 people dead and at least 200 injured since June.

Last week 28 people were killed in sectarian festivities in Mbres, just days after a reconciliation ceremony organized by the U.N. peacekeeping mission there.

The former French colony that is diamond-rich but dirt poor has suffered numerous coups and bouts of instability since independence in 1960, but the March 2013 toppling of Francois Bozize's regime by the Seleka rebel coalition triggered the worst upheaval to date.

Relentless attacks by the mainly Moslem rebels on the majority Christian population spurred the formation of vigilante groups, who in turn began exacting Dire Revenge on Moslem civilians, driving them out of most parts of the country.

Several thousand people were killed in the tit-for-tat attacks, which plunged the population of 4.8 million into an unprecedented humanitarian crisis.

Australian Police Arrest Two in Anti-Terror Raids
[AnNahar] An Australian man was charged Wednesday with possessing documents connected to a planned terrorist attack on government targets in Sydney as police insisted people should not be afraid.

Sulayman Khalid, 20, was tossed in the calaboose
Youse'll never take me alive coppers!... [BANG!]... Ow!... I quit!
following raids last week which uncovered a large number of documents, a rifle, and two shotguns.

He was charged with being in "possession of documents designed to facilitate a terrorist attack", while a 21-year-old was accused of breaching a control order issued by a judge.

Their arrests come on the back of a series of pre-dawn raids across Sydney and Brisbane in September as concern mounts about the flow of people to Iraq and Syria to join the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
group and other jihadists.

After that operation, police said they had foiled a plot to "commit violent acts" in Australia, including a plan to behead a member of the public.

More than 70 Australians are currently fighting for Islamic Death Eaters overseas. At least 20 have died and there are fears that increasing numbers of youths are being radicalised and could mount attacks at home.

"Certainly the documents talked a little bit about potential government targets," said Australian Federal Police Deputy Commissioner for National Security Michael Phelan.

He said the targets were in Sydney, but did not go into detail.

"I am confident that we've disrupted the activity that they were planning. And that is all I'm prepared to say at this particular point."

Khalid was remanded in jug and will face court again in February. The second man has yet to appear in court.

The arrests follow warnings on Tuesday by Prime Minister Tony Abbott of heightened "terrorist chatter" in the aftermath of a fatal cafe siege in Sydney's financial hub last week.

Iranian-born gunman Man Haron Monis, who had a history of extremism and violence, took 17 hostages in the city's financial heartland, unveiling an Islamic flag.

He was killed as armed police stormed the eatery after 16 hours. Two hostages also died -- mother-of-three Katrina Dawson, 38, and 34-year-old Lindt cafe manager Tori Johnson -- while several were maimed.

"A briefing from the security agencies today indicated that there has been a heightened level of terrorist chatter in the aftermath of the Martin Place siege," Abbott said Tuesday.

"That's why it's important that people remain alert and aware as well as reassured that our police and security agencies are doing everything they humanly can to keep us safe."

- Ideology linked to IS -
Australia has not officially branded the Sydney siege a terrorist attack and Abbott declined to speculate on any potential new threat.

Phelan said police had been monitoring a particular group of between 15 and 20 people with 11 of them charged since the September raids, some for "serious terrorism offences".

"It is a group of people here in Sydney that we've been actively monitoring for a long period of time now and any action they take we want to try to get ahead of them," he said.

Asked if they had a name, he replied: "No. Certainly their ideology is linked to IS overseas."

Phelan added that they had no direct link with Monis but "certainly since the tragic events of last week, this group had ongoing conversations and activity".

Australia raised its threat level to high in September, which means an attack is likely.

New South Wales Police Deputy Commissioner Catherine Burn stressed people should not be afraid.

"This should not disrupt our way of life in any measure at all," she said.

"We're clearly vigilant and everybody should be vigilant. However,
the hip bone's connected to the leg bone...
I think that the activity that we have undertaken has put us in a very, very good position."

Following the cafe siege, security across Sydney was stepped up with hundreds more officers on the streets.

India-Pakistan
Malik Ishaq on two-week judicial remand
[DAWN] A special court on Wednesday remanded leader of banned outfit Lashkar-e-Jhangvi
... a 'more violent' offshoot of Sipah-e-Sahaba Pakistain. LeJ's purpose in life is to murder anyone who's not of utmost religious purity, starting with Shiites but including Brelvis, Ahmadis, Christians, Jews, Buddhists, Rosicrucians, and just about anyone else you can think of. They are currently a wholly-owned subsidiary of al-Qaeda ...
Malik Ishaq in judicial custody for two weeks in a murder case.

Ishaq was produced before Special Magistrate Ghulam Mujtaba Baloch in a murder and terrorism case lodged with Airport Police Station (Rahim Yar Khan).

The FIR No. 245/14 had been lodged on Oct 14, 2014 on the complaint of Husain Abbas, son of Allah Ditta, who was killed in a sectarian attack. The case was lodged under Pakistain Protection Act 2014. The court had rejected physical remand, observing that physical remand of a suspect who was booked on charges of abetment, could not be granted.

The court has granted 14-day judicial remand of the suspect and fixed Jan 7 the next date of hearing.

ATC issues death warrants of two convicts
[DAWN] An anti-terrorism court on Wednesday issued death warrants of two condemned prisoners convicted on terrorism charges.

Presiding judge Muhammad Qasim issued the warrants on an application of superintendent of Faisalabad
...formerly known as Lyallpur, the third largest metropolis in Pakistain, the second largest in Punjab after Lahore. It is named after some Arab because the Paks didn't have anybody notable of their own to name it after...
jail.

The superintendent stated that condemned prisoner Faiz Ahmad was awarded death penalty in 2006 for killing Lance Naik Tariq Mahmood in Nankana Sahib.

He said the appeal of the convict against the sentence was also dismissed by the superior courts.

He said the second prisoner on death row, Muhammad Sharif, was convicted in 2000 for involvement in various terrorism activities. The jail chief pointed out that mercy petitions of the convicts had also been rejected by President. Therefore, he asked the court to issue death warrants of the convicts for their execution. The court allowed the application and issued the death warrants.

Rebel attacks in India kill 51, spark violent protests
GUWAHATI: Police in northeast India fired on Wednesday on demonstrators protesting against the killings of dozens of people by tribal guerrillas, killing five of them. Militants fighting for a separate homeland for indigenous Bodo tribesmen went on a killing spree in Assam state on Tuesday, killing 51 people in four attacks in the space of an hour, the deadliest violence in months.

The victims of the guerrilla attacks were mostly tea-plantation workers from other parts of India. Assam has a history of sectarian bloodshed and armed groups fighting for autonomy or secession.

Hundreds of plantation workers armed with spears and bows and arrows defied a curfew imposed in response to the rebel attacks and surrounded police stations in Sonitpur district, the area worst hit by the militant violence, saying authorities had failed to protect them.

Some protesters set fire to shops and others blocked a railway line and roads. Police said they had to disperse the crowds.

#3  The Kurds, once known as the Medes, are referenced in the Christian bible in several places and are part of several major Christian related events, past and future, spanning several millinea.

The 3 Magi who came to honor the birth of Christ, also referred to as the wise men were Medes/Kurds. They were from the Magian society of the Medes.

Both Old Testament prophets Isaiah and Jeremiah and the new testament Apostle John in the book of Revelations foretell that the Kurds will destroy the restored city of Babylon South of Baghdad in Iraq, on the Euphrates with the help of many nations, in one day.

Isaiah 13:17
See, I will stir up against them the Medes, who do not care for silver and have no delight in gold.

Isaiah 14:16-17
Those who see you stare at you, they ponder your fate: "Is this the man who shook the earth and made kingdoms tremble, the man who made the world a wilderness, who overthrew its cities and would not let his captives go home?"

Revelations 18:21
“Thus with violence the great city Babylon shall be thrown down, and shall not be found anymore."

It will not be inhabitable even for grazing of livestock from that point on afterwards. Why? Because it is referred to as the seat of Satan in Christian scripture, its destruction will be total and complete, its land uninhabitable.

That is the greatest military mission yet to be carried out by the Kurds.

Police said that Jose Coquilla was heading to church with his wife on a private vehicle when militants intercepted them late Tuesday in Panabo City in Davao del Norte province. Coquilla's wife was freed by the militants. There was no immediate statement from the separatist militants.

Coquilla's abduction came a day after insurgents clashed with troops in Agusan del Sur’s Buenavista town. The militants were planting a homemade bomb on the village of Rizal when soldiers on patrol spotted them and a gun battle broke out.
