[Khaama (Afghanistan)] At least four Afghan National Army (ANA) soldiers were martyred following roadside Improvised Explosive Device (IED) attack.
The Ministry of Defense (MoD) said the incident took place during the past 24 hours.
No further details were given regarding the exact location where the four Afghan army soldiers bit the dust.
Talibs and Death Eaters from the other myrmidon groups frequently use Improvised Explosive Device (IED) as the weapon of their choice to target the security forces.
According to security officials, the Afghan army deaths stands at 4 service members daily on average which is mainly caused due to improvised bomb (IED) attacks.
IED attacks are also the major contributor to civilian casualties in Afghanistan, as civilians are mostly targeted in roadside kaboomings.
In the meantime, MoD front man Gen. Zahir Azimi said at least 48 Death Eaters were killed and 3 other were detained during operations led by Afghan army soldiers in the past 24 hours.
Gen. Azimi further added that the Afghan army soldiers also confiscated 31 rounds of Improvised Explosive Device (IED) during the same operations.

Shujaul Mulk Jalala, Governor of eastern Kunar Province says that from the past four days the road that connects Naray District with picturesque provincial capital Asad Abad has been blocked by Taliban.
He said that Taliban have also planted landmines along the road and that people cannot travel on this road.
He added that people in Naray District are facing shortage of food and need medical assistance.
Mohammad Rahman Danish, District Governor of Naray says blocking public way means that Taliban are practicing enmity with local people.
Naray is one of the few Districts in eastern Kunar Province where insurgency raise occasionally.
Last week Taliban blown up a school and a clinic in this district.
Abdul Habib Sayedkhil, Police Chief of Kunar Province said that 80% of the school was damaged in the kabooms, adding that Holy Koran and school books were also burned in the fire caused by the kabooms.

He said it was a magnetic bomb kaboom which was attached to the vehicle of Angeza Shinwari, member of the Provincial Council of Nangarhar, adding that Angeza Shinwari is among the ones injured.
Ahmadzia Abulzai, front man for governor of Nangarhar province also confirms the incident.
He said that the kaboom occurred in front of Bibi Hawa high school in Jalalabad city.
He also upheld that one civilian was killed and four others including Angeza Shinwari were maimed in the kaboom.
The ones maimed have been transported to Jalalabad Regional Hospital where two of them were announced to be at death's door.
Angiza Shinwari, 34, whose vehicle was targeted in the kaboom today, is an Ex-Journalist journalist who was currently serving as the member of the Provincial Council of Nangarhar province.
Although, no group has so far grabbed credit for the attack on Shinwari but occasionally she was blaming Pakistain for instability in Afghanistan.

NDS statement further adds that Zahirullah had recently stopped a civilian vehicle in which the soldiers were travelling and sprayed bullets on them.
A video that was recorded by the holy warriors while martyring the soldiers was also recovered from Zahirullah by NDS personnel.

Two Sydney men were charged on Wednesday with planning to launch an imminent terrorist attack, after police seized a homemade flag associated with the Islamic State group, a machete and a hunting knife in a counterterrorism raid.
The men, aged 24 and 25, would have carried out the attack on Tuesday if they had not been placed in durance vile Yez got nuttin' on me, coppers! Nuttin'! that day in the raid in the Sydney suburb of Fairfield, New South Wales state Deputy Police Commissioner Catherine Burn told news hounds.
A video that was seized in the raid showed one of the men making threats, though Burn declined to detail exactly what was said. Prime Minister Tony Abbott later told Parliament that the video depicted one of the suspects kneeling in front of the Islamic State flag with the knife and machete while making a statement in Arabic.
Asked whether they were planning a beheading, Burn replied, "We don't really know what act they were going to commit."
"What we are going to allege is consistent with the IS messaging," she said, using an abbreviation for the Islamic State group. "We believe that the men were potentially going to harm somebody, maybe even kill somebody, and potentially using one of the items that we identified and recovered yesterday, potentially a knife."
Police were trying to determine whether the men were in contact with anyone from the Islamic State movement.
"Yesterday, our focus was to act on information that we received about something that was imminent," Burn said. "We believe that we have stopped that threat from occurring. However, if you can't say something nice about a person some juicy gossip will go well... there are further investigations that now we will need to follow through."
Omar Al-Kutobi and Mohammad Kiad were charged with undertaking acts in preparation or planning for a terrorist act, which carries a maximum punishment of life in prison. Their lawyer didn't apply for bail and it was formally refused during a brief court hearing Wednesday. Neither man appeared in the courtroom.
Police don't believe there is any link between the alleged plot and another plot that prompted a series of counterterror raids in Sydney in September. One man arrested during those raids was charged with conspiring with an Islamic State leader in Syria to behead a random person in Sydney.
Australia's government raised the country's terror warning level in September in response to the domestic threat posed by supporters of the Islamic State group, which has threatened Australia in the past. In September, its front man Abu Mohammed al-Adnani issued a message urging attacks abroad, and specifically mentioned Australia.
The prime minister said he suspected the terror threat in Australia was going to only worsen.
"As we have seen again and again in recent times, the death cult is reaching out all around the world, including here in Australia," Abbott told Parliament. "There are people in this country who are susceptible to these indictments to extremism and even terrorism."
The government believes about 90 Australians are fighting alongside the Islamic State movement in Syria and Iraq, with another 140 supporting the group from Australia.
The proliferation of Islamic State-style attack plots in countries such as Australia is not surprising because such plots are generally simple and low tech -- which makes them harder to stop, said Clive Williams, a counterterrorism expert at the Australian National University and a former military intelligence officer.
"To drive a car into a group of coppers takes no planning whatsoever," Williams said. "It's a lot different from what al-Qaeda was encouraging people to do, which was to do sophisticated bombings which would result in lots of casualties but took lots of preparation and organization. There was a better chance of detecting them, but they were more dangerous -- whereas these are less detectable but less dangerous."

[CSMONITOR] A radical Islamic group that recruited youngsters to fight in Syria was a terrorist organization that wanted to violently overthrow democracy and replace it with strict sharia law, a Belgian court ruled Wednesday in a case that played out against a backdrop of soaring terror fears.
The court in Antwerp sentenced the Sharia4Belgium group's "charismatic leader," Fouad Belkacem, to 12 years' imprisonment and gave dozens of other members lower sentences. Belkacem, who was led into court in handcuffs by police in body armor, smiled as he listened to the judgment.
The verdicts came in one of Belgium's biggest ever terror trials -- 46 Moslems were originally indicted, though only a handful appeared in court. Others are believed to be fighting with Sunni gangs in Syria or to have died in its civil war.
Clamping down on the Sharia4Belgium network, which was disbanded more than two years ago, appears to have done little to rein in Islamic holy warriors in the country.
Moslem convert Jejoen Bontinck, 19 -- whose father brought him home from Syria in a celebrated case and who later became a key prosecution witness -- received a 40-month suspended sentence. Roomberg also said that he has told his ex-wife's family of being a prisoner of war in Israel and to pummeling to death an Israeli pilot.
Allouche, 45, was a contract linguist for the U.S. Military in Iraq and moved to the U.S. in 2002.

GHALANAI: A government-run community health centre was blown up by unidentified persons in Shal Kor area of Ekkaghund tehsil of Mohmand Agency on Tuesday.
Local people told Dawn by telephone that the miscreants had planted explosives in the building of the health centre.
They said that two blasts occurred in the building which destroyed its structure and boundary wall.
They said that the blasts were heard in the far off areas.
Agency Surgeon Dr Niaz Afridi confirmed the incident and said that total 17 health centres had been blown up by militants in Mohmand tribal region.
The political administration arrested some local people under the collective responsibility clause of Frontier Crimes Regulation and started search for the attackers.

In Pakistain, the Mohmands infest their eponymous Agency, metastasizing as far as the plains of Peshawar, Charsadda, and Mardan. Mohmands are also scattered throughout Pakistan in urban areas including Karachi, Lahore, and Quetta. In Afghanistan they are mainly found in Nangarhar and Kunar... here on Monday.
Political tehsildar, Baizai, Miraj Khan confirmed the incident and said that Baizai peace committee head Malik Sanobar was going in his vehicle when it was hit by an improvised Explosive device in Shandara area. As a result, Malik Sanobar, a khasadar official, Hazrat Ali, and two peace volunteers, Ismail Khan and Hazrat, were maimed. He said that the injured men were shifted to a local hospital.
Following the blast, security forces launched a search operation to track down the attackers.
Meanwhile, ...back at the bunker, his Excellency called a hurried meeting of his closest advisors. It was to be his last. They discussed the officers's efficiency rating system... the security personnel also defused another IED in the same area.

[Gulf Today] A senior leader of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front said the front still considers itself a "revolutionary organization" pending full implementation of its peace agreement with the Philippine government.
In a letter addressed to a Senate committee, Mohagher Iqbal, the MILF's chief peace negotiator, said that while the front has signed a peace agreement with the government "after 18 years of intermittent war and negotiations, that peace agreement has yet to be implemented. Until that peace agreement is fully implemented, we will remain to be a revolutionary organization."
Iqbal wrote the letter to explain his absence from a hearing which is being conducted to look into the killing of 44 police commandos during a botched law enforcement mission on January 25.
In the same letter, Iqbal said the MILF's central committee had approved his appearance at a date which has yet to be scheduled as he requested that he be allowed to testify in a session closed to the public and media. But most of the senators opposed the request, saying this would not be fair to senior government officials and ranking security officers who testified in an open hearing covered live on radio and TV.
Still unconfirmed reports said weapons, including heavy guns, seized from the "fallen 44" by the MILF and BIFF members were being sold in Mindanao.

[ARA] Kurdish fighters of the People's Protection Units (YPG), in cooperation with the Peshmerga forces and rebels of the Free Syrian Army ... the more palatable version of the Syrian insurgency, heavily influenced by the Moslem Brüderbund... (FSA), were able to regain more areas in western Kobane (Ain al-Arab) in the province of Aleppo, northern Syria, military sources reported on Tuesday.
The newly regained areas are only 3 km from the city of Jarablus, a Syrian border city controlled by the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems.... group (IS/ISIS) since more than one year.
Speaking to ARA News on the phone, Saeed Judi, a fighter in the YPG ranks, said that the Kurdish fighters took control of Khirbet Atto village (administratively linked to Shuyookh town) near Jarablus.
"Thus the city of Jarablus is about 3 km away, and now the whole city, which is one of the most strategic strongholds of the radical group, is under the crossfire of the Peshmerga and the YPG military units," he said.
Judi also reported that the YPG fighters were able to enter the town of Jalabiya, in the southeastern countryside of Kobane, where fierce festivities continue in the vicinity of the French plant of Cement, adding that more than 80% of Kobane's countryside became under the control of the defending forces of Kobane.
On the other hand, high ranking leaders of the YPG asked for extending the mission of the Peshmerga forces in Kobane, where a base for these forces will be built on the outskirts of the city to be a launching pad for military operations against the hardline group of the Islamic State, a Kurdish military source told ARA News.
"However, the difference between stupidity and genius is that genius has its limits... the decision of the Peshmerga's remaining in Kobane is up to the approval of President Massoud Barzani ... hereditary head of the Kurdish Democratic Party, maybe a little too close to the Medes and the Persians for most people's tastes... , president of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq," the source added.
Subsequent to the remarkable advancement made by the joint forces defending Kobane and the attacks hit IS headquarters in Manbij and Jarabalus, the IS group declared a state of alert in the remaining villages under its control in the countryside of Kobane, calling for more reinforcements there.

[ARA] Two non-combatants were killed and several others injured due to aerial bombardment by warplanes loyal to Syrian president Bashir al-Assad on the town of al-Bu Omar in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor province, in eastern Syria, locals reported on Tuesday.
Speaking to ARA News in Deir ez-Zor, civil rights activist Fayez Abdulaziz said that pro-Assad military forces targeted residential buildings in the town with steric missiles, killing two women and injuring several other civilians.
"The injured were transferred to the field hospital in the town," he added.
Abdulaziz said that the attack followed similar bombing in the town on Monday, killing one civilian and wounding four others.

In the meantime, the Islamic State group closed the water crossing of al-Janina village (which is linked to the regime-held neighborhood of al-Jura), after preventing civilians from entering areas and neighborhoods held by the pro-regime forces.

"The joint forces (YPG, FSA, and Peshmerga) regained villages near the town of Shuyookh, the main stronghold of gunnies west of Kobane," Saeed Judi, a YPG fighter, told ARA News.
Judi emphasized that the joint forces took control of the entire villages of Talik and Darbazin near the town of Shuyookh.
"The population of both villages is primarily Arab and Kurd.
"All IS command centers in the town of Shuyookh are in the crossfire of the Peshmerga and the YPG fighters," the source told ARA News.
Judi also denied some pro-IS websites allegations concerning the infiltration of IS members in the established security box of central Kobane, pointing out that the radical group has been defeated in all fighting fronts.
"All these news are rumors the IS hardline group uses as part of a 'psychological war' propaganda," Judi argued.
Also on Monday, field sources reported what they described the "liberation of eight new villages" east of Kobane, including Zari, Qartal, Kalti, Darb Hassan, Kochkar, Shish, Bir Habash, and Matin.
Meanwhile, ...back at the hanging, Butch continued with his last words, trying not to repeat himself too often...... the sources confirmed that Kurdish-led operations of dismantling mines and bombs continue in other eight villages, including Bir Arab Janubi, Bir Arab Shamali, Baghdik, Khan, Idaniya, Jirn, Zarzuri and Kolt, a distance of more than 40 km eastern the city.
Notably, YPG and FSA-linked sources confirmed Sunday that there is no intention for the YPG fighters to enter or stay in the Arab villages and areas, and that the administration of theses areas will be assigned solely to the FSA factions only.

Syrian Kurdish forces have set their sights on taking back from jihadists Tal Abyad, another strategic town on the border with Turkey, after recapturing Kobani, a monitor said Monday.
Tal Abyad, located about 65 kilometers (40 miles) east of Kobani, is an Arab and Kurd town in the Syrian province of Raqqa used by jihadists of the Islamic State group to cross into Turkey.
The Sunni krazed killer IS seized Tal Abyad from Kurdish and rebel combatants who have been fighting to oust the regime of Syria's Hereditary President-for-Life Bashir Pencilneck al-Assad The Scourge of Hama... since 2011.
After four months of fierce fighting, the Kurds and rebels recaptured Kobani in January, and they have since also reclaimed a third of the villages in the area, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
"The next battle after Kobani is Tal Abyad," Rami Abdel Rahman, the director of the Britannia-based monitoring group, said on Monday.
"The Kurds and a Raqqa revolutionary brigade arrived on Monday at the edge of Raqqa province."
An activist in Raqqa said the battle for villages around Tal Abyad had already begun, forcing people to flee across the border into Turkey.
"Tal Abyad is so important to IS that it has dug tunnels in the area and built fortifications on the town's outskirts," said the activist who identified himself as Nael Mustafa.
"The battle will take a long time, but it's a start."
On another front, further west in the province of Aleppo, "IS sent reinforcements to protect its strongholds of Minbej and Jarabulus which could also be a target for the Kurdish fighters," said Abdel Rahman.

[AnNahar] Syrian activists on Tuesday accused Jaysh al-Islam, a powerful Islamist group near Damascus, of detaining a group of their colleagues, in what they said was the latest in a string of abuses.

"An gang believed to be loyal to Jaysh al-Islam stormed the office of Erbin's local (activist) committee... It kidnapped the team there and took them to an area near the frontline," said the non-violent Local Coordination Committees activist group.
The gunnies also "seized and destroyed the Erbin committee's equipment", said the LCC, condemning the raid. Its statement came a day after the Erbin committee announced via its Facebook page that its office had been broken into.
An LCC spokeswoman told AFP via the Internet that six activists had been taken from their office on Monday, while the Erbin committee said one had since been set free.
According to the Erbin committee's Facebook page, the unnamed activist who was released said his detained colleagues "are being held in isolation from each other, in solitary confinement."
LCC spokeswoman Majeda, who refused to be identified by her full name for fear of persecution, said the latest detention is part of a campaign by Jaysh al-Islam to "empty the revolution of its true activists."

Jaysh al-Islam is the most powerful rebel group operating in the Eastern Ghouta area, east of Damascus, where Erbin is located. Critics have accused its chief, Zahran Alloush, of seeking to sideline any potential rivals, armed or peaceful.
Jaysh al-Islam front man Islam Alloush told AFP that the Erbin activists had been "detained by the United Judiciary", the local judicial authority in the region. He said he had no further information on the case, or on what charges had been brought against the activists. Syrian Observatory for Human Rights director Rami Abdel Rahman said the rebel judiciary in Eastern Ghouta is "dominated" by Jaysh al-Islam.
The rebel group has been accused of detaining activists before, including in late 2013, when four prominent activists in Douma, also east of Damascus, went missing.
"The kidnapper is one and the same," LCC spokeswoman Majeda said of the two incidents. "By no means is it the first time that we see such a kidnapping."

The General Command of the UAE Armed Forces announced that Emirati F-16 warplanes have carried out air strikes against hideouts for the ISIS group in the ISIS‐seized territory, returning to combat missions after suspending air strikes.
The fighters returned safely back to the base after striking their targets, an official statement said.
Noteworthy, the UAE has announced last Saturday, that it will resume its air strikes against the ISIS group Lions of Islam in Iraq and Syria after the suspension that followed the execution of the Jordanian pilot Moaz al-Kasasbeh.
