Suicide attack on Turkish embassy car in Kabul kills one
[Pak Daily Times] A jacket wallah rammed a vehicle laden with explosives into a Turkish embassy car in the Afghan capital on Thursday, killing at least one person inside, the ministry of interior said.

The kaboom struck in the heart of the heavily fortified diplomatic quarter, close to the German, Iranian and Turkish embassies, rattling windows and putting embassy staff on high alert.

"A suicide kaboom targeted a convoy of the Turkish embassy," deputy interior minister General Ayoub Salanghi told news hounds at the site of the blast, adding that the driver of the vehicle had been killed and one person maimed.

The Taliban swiftly grabbed credit, saying it had targeted a convoy of foreign forces causing many injuries. The bully boy Islamist group often inflates casualty claims.

It was the second time an embassy vehicle has been targeted by holy warriors in the capital in recent months, after a British car was attacked by a suicide bomber in November.

One Turkish official reached by phone confirmed the location of the incident, but said he could not provide further details.

One Dead in Cairo Bombings
[AnNahar] One person was killed Thursday in a bombing outside a pizzeria in the Egyptian capital as other blasts hit a cop shoppe and offices of cell phone companies, a health official said.

The bomb tore off the legs of the victim who was pronounced dead in hospital, health ministry front man Hossam Abdel Ghaffar told AFP. Two other people were maimed.

The restaurant was next to a branch of the Britannia-based cell phone provider Vodafone.

Two other bombs targeted its offices in another neighborhood and a third bomb went off outside a branch of United Arab Emirates-owned Etisalat, damaging the store fronts but causing no casualties, interior ministry front man Hany Abdel Latif told AFP.

The offices were closed at the time of the kabooms.

Hours later, an kaboom outside a cop shoppe in the north of the capital maimed a police conscript and three passersby, police officials said.

It was not immediately clear why the cell phone companies were targeted, but Abdel Latif said authorities had been on the alert for attacks in the runup to parliamentary elections next month.

Militants have set off dozens of bombs in the capital since the army overthrew Islamist president Mohammed Morsi in July 2013 and cracked down on his supporters, killing hundreds of protesters in street festivities.

Most of the bombs have been rudimentary and caused no casualties.

But several have killed coppers, including two senior officers killed while attempting to defuse bombs planted outside the presidential palace in June last year.

Those bombs, and several others that killed coppers in Cairo, were claimed by the Ajnad Misr bully boy group.

group have killed scores of soldiers and coppers since Morsi's overthrow.

most of their operatives last year.

Jihadists, who have focused their attacks on security forces, were also believed to be planning attacks on the embassies of countries that have backed the former army chief and now President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, officials have said.

Sisi was elected to office in May 2014 pledging to eradicate the bully boys, but has had limited success, especially in the Sinai where they are waging an insurgency.

In January, simultaneous boom-mobileings and mortar attacks on security headquarters in the peninsula killed at least 30 people, most of them soldiers.

In October, Death Eaters set off a truck bomb at a military checkpoint in the Sinai and then raided it, killing at least 30 soldiers and seizing heavy weapons.

The military has launched an unprecedented campaign in the rugged peninsula that borders Israel and the Gazoo Strip, deploying thousands of troops and carrying out repeated helicopter strikes against the bully boys.

Saudi Arabia moves mission to Aden
[ARABNEWS] A Yemeni government front man said on Thursday that the Saudi ambassador to Yemen would re-base his mission to the southern city of Aden, an apparent snub to the newly dominant Shiite Houthi
...a Zaidi Shia insurgent group operating in Yemen. They have also been referred to as the Believing Youth. Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi is said to be the spiritual leader of the group and most of the military leaders are his relatives. The Yemeni government has accused the Houthis of having ties to the Iranian government, which wouldn't suprise most of us. The group has managed to gain control over all of Saada Governorate and parts of Amran, Al Jawf and Hajjah Governorates. Its slogan is God is Great, Death to America™, Death to Israel, a curse on the Jews ...

Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. joined Western states earlier this month in evacuating its embassy in Sanaa following a power grab by the Iranian-backed Houthi rebels.

The envoy's move to Aden underlines Saudi support for the embattled Yemeni President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi who fled to Aden last week after the Houthis forced him to step down and held him under house arrest in Sanaa for a month.

But with Hadi gone, the Houthis, whose fighters now control large parts of Yemen, have been struggling to form a new government, and Hadi is seeking to set up a rival power center in Aden with loyalist army units and tribes.

"The Saudi ambassador returned to Aden yesterday, together with GCC Secretary-General Abdullatif Al-Zayani and began today to pursue his mission officially in Aden," said Rajeh Badi, a front man for Hadi's government.

#1  I said yesterday that the USDOD may be breathing a sigh of relief at news that the Chuuk [Truk] independence vote from the FSM has been delayed - this means China + PLA may also be delayed in getting strategic access or control to the former Imperial Japanese Navy bastion in Chuuk/Truk Lagoon - LOTS OF REEFS, ETC. FOR CHINA TO BUILD IMPROVED ANDOR NEW ARTIFICIAL ISLANDS ON AS LIKE IN THE SCS.

I suspect the USDOD is now once again breathing hard on the possibility of IRAN-VS-KSA MILPOL CONFRONTATION in Yemen + Gulf Sheikdoms/Emirates.
The Bammer-supported Iran Nuke Deal repor gives Iran up to 10 years to dev their own NucBomb or NucWeapons - THE RISK OF YEMEN + QATAR ASKING THE ISIS/ISL ANDOR AL-NUSRA TO MIL INTERVENE LOCALLY AGZ THE SHIA HOUTHIS IS MORE REALISTIC IN THE NEAR-TERM.

in Morelia in Michoacan state without a shot fired, police officials said.

Previously a school teacher, he became one of Mexico's most powerful dug lords and took control of Michoacan.

His capture is a coup for the government of Enrique Pena Nieto in its fight against the narco mobs.

A police front man told local media the arrest followed months of intelligence work in the region.

Police reportedly seized nearby properties in the weeks leading up Mr Gomez's capture and arrested several of his associates.

#2  An Nahar adds:

Danish police said they arrested Friday a third alleged accomplice in the Copenhagen shootings who was identified by the media as the gunman's brother.

The suspect is "charged with complicity in the perpetrator's actions" and will appear before a judge on Saturday for a custody hearing, police said in a statement.

The man was identified by public broadcaster DR as the 18-year-old brother of gunman Omar El-Hussein, who killed two people in twin attacks in the Danish capital this month.

Two other men were arrested in the immediate aftermath of the February 14-15 shootings accused of aiding the attacker and have been remanded in custody until March 26.

As part of the continuing investigation into the killings, police cordoned off an area near a housing estate in north Copenhagen and used sniffer dogs to search the basement of an apartment block, the tabloid newspaper Ekstra Bladet reported.

The first two suspects were originally charged with helping the gunman get rid of a weapon and providing him with a hiding place, but the charges were amended at a closed-door hearing on Thursday, a lawyer for one of the men Michael Juul Eriksen told AFP.

Eriksen said the charges could not be made public but news agency Ritzau said the men were accused of providing the killer with two guns.

Sweden prosecutes Syrian rebel for 'war crimes'
[ARA] On Thursday, a Swedish court sentenced a former Syrian rebel to five year on charges of torturing opponents in Syria.

The charges were based on video footages published online showing the former opposition fighter while assaulting and torturing other Syrians.

Mouhannad Droubi, 28, was jugged
Maw! They're comin' to get me, Maw!
after Swedish coppers saw him in the video.

In 2013, Droubi obtained permanent residency in Sweden.

The court said Droubi, 28, was a fighter in the Free Syrian Army
... the more palatable version of the Syrian insurgency, heavily influenced by the Moslem Brüderbund...
(FSA) at the time the video was taken, while his victim had been connected to the Syrian army.

The Swedish court convicted him of committing a war crime, because of attacking a defenseless enemy.

"This is the first time that we have tried a case related to the conflict in Syria as far as I know, and there are very few war crimes sentences," Swedish prosecutor Henrik Soderman told news hounds in Stockholm.

Several Canadians Headed to Syria to Join IS
[AnNahar] At least six young Canadian men and women from Montreal and its suburbs traveled overseas last month to join the Islamic State

group, local media reported Thursday.

Some of them, including two young women, were students at Montreal CEGEP College de Maisonneuve.

They flew to Turkey on January 16 with the aim of crossing its border into Syria, the Montreal daily La Presse said.

It is unclear if they reached their final destination.

The father of one of the young men, fearing his son's downward spiral since taking up religious and Arabic studies, seized his passport. But his son reported it lost and obtained a replacement from authorities.

The six are aged 18 to 19 and of Mideast and North African descent.

A spokeswoman for Montreal CEGEP College de Maisonneuve confirmed that three of them had attended the high school last semester, but did not know if they knew each other.

"They are totally opposed to ISIL and they are in fact taking on and fighting and eliminating ISIL members along the Iraqi border near Iran and have serious concerns about what that would do to the region," Kerry told politicians, referring to IS by another acronym.

"So we have at least a mutual interest, if not a cooperative effort."

Kerry, who has been pivotal to Washington's drive to strike a deal to curb Iran's nuclear ambitions, said the United States had not asked Tehran to get involved in the fight against the IS group.

Since last year, the Sunni Death Eater group has waged a brutal offensive in Iraq and Syria, grabbing land and carrying out executions and forced religious conversions.

Washington forged a coalition of Western and Arab nations to confront the Death Eaters, but mainly Shiite Iran is not officially part of the group.

In December, Kerry also denied there was any military coordination with Iran, after the Pentagon said that Iranian jets had deployed against IS fighters in eastern Iraq.

#12  FYI GROONG > THE STRUGGLE OF THE SUPERPOWERS IS FOR SPHERES OF INFLUENCE.

As it was for MAHAN, PRE-N-POST COLD WAR, + now as per OWG GLOBALISM + CO-SUPERPOWERS.

Iff the "American Dream" of the 20th Century is now the "NORTH AMERICAN/AMERIKAN DREAM" of the 21st Century, then IMO by extension the "CO-SUPERPOWER USA = "NORTH AMERICAN/AMERIKAN SUPERPOWER" OR "CO-SUPERPOWER", as Mexico + Canada + Greenland are now "CO-AMERICA/AMERICANS" wid the US.

* MAHA-RUSHIAN LIMBAUGHIAN QUESTIONNE" = can SHIA IRAN, PUTINIST RUSSIA, + RISING CHINA ACCEPT SIMILAR "CO-STATES" IN THEIR REGIONS OR SPHERES???

* TOPIX > [EagleSpeak = National Interest] NEW DOMINO THEORY: [US = US-Allies] HELPING/ASSISTING UKRAINE MAY CAUS RUSSIA TO HELP CHINA TAKE CONTROL OVER THE SOUTH CHINA SEA REGION.

I don't see Iran asking Sunni rival KSA, Egypt, Jordan, + Turkey to be part of the "Iranian/
Persian Dream" as OWG Globalist "Co-States" in Parity, nor do I see Darth Vlad being willing for GERMANY to go Nukulaar + reassert itself Geopol in parity wid Mama Russia.

just sayin.

* TOPIX, DEFENCE.PK/FORUMS > IS PRO-ACTIVE [Geopol/MilPol-reassertive, aggressive] GERMANY THE BEST FOR EUROPE?

What America = Amerikans are seeing on the MSM-Net instead is more like ... ...

Schemas for attacking the US White House, Statue of Liberty, + "American Heartland" [Midwest?], + also the UK + Russia + Europe.

All things equal, the ultimate or true aim of the 9-11 + GWOT was its effect-n-consequence on the US + US Power, I.E. THE END OF SAME.

As I've said before, I KNOW FOR A FACT THAT 9-11 WAS PLANNED BY OBL SINCE AT LEAST THE LATE 1960's + EARLY 1970's.

I can say something about the US + Other's role in the rise of Saddam + overthrow of the Shah of Iran, etc. but "that's another story", as the saying goes.

Spy cables: Mossad worked with South Africa
[iol Nuus] Johannesburg - South African intelligence services played an important role in helping arrest Iranian officials in Kenya with explosives, according to a leaked secret report from the SA State Security Agency.

The SSA report of a meeting with senior agents of the Israeli secret service Mossad in Pretoria on October 22, 2012, is one of the hundreds of secret documents from several international intelligence agencies leaked to the news network Al Jazeera.

It began publishing them on Monday, causing a furore in South Africa's intelligence community.

The Liaison Information Report by the SSA on the meeting with Mossad describes how senior SSA officials reprimanded the Mossad Africa section chief for bypassing correct procedures when he contacted the SSA director-general directly without properly declaring his status as an intelligence operative. The senior SSA official present demanded that Mossad should in future "show respect for the host country" by handing over his credentials to the South African government.
The work of Abba Eban continues, albeit a slower pace.
