Taliban capture 12 police stations in Afghanistan
[Iran Press TV] Talibs have captured more than 10 cop shoppes in central Afghanistan, officials say.

The incident was reported by Afghan officials in Uruzgan Province on Sunday.

The governor of Uruzgan's Gizab district, Haji Abdullah Khan, said the murderous Moslems overran the security posts following two weeks of heavy festivities with Afghan soldiers.

The Afghan official said at least 12 murderous Moslems and four Afghan forces have been killed in the festivities.

He warned that the Lion of Islams, now heading toward the district center, may gain control over Gizab if local forces do not receive immediate assistance.

Meanwhile,
...back at the barn, a little lightbulb figuratively appeared over Bossy's head...
the deputy police chief of Uruzgan Province, Rahimullah Khan, said Afghan cops had stepped back from some areas in Gizab.

Earlier, a bomb kaboom carried out by Talibs in Uruzgan's Deh Rawad district claimed the lives of at least six people, including one woman.

The developments come as the Talibs have escalated their attacks against Afghan cops and the US-led foreign troops across the war-torn country, in their so-called spring offensive.

On June 6, Talibs took control over the Yamgan district in the northeastern Badakhshan Province, after launching an offensive there.

Militia seizes strategic town from Somali Govt forces
DHUSAMAREB, Somalia -- Ahlu Sunna Waljamea militia has seized Galgadud regional capital of Dhusamareb from Somali government forces, signifying a new blow to the ongoing state formation process, Garowe Online reports.
Per Wiki, Ahlu Suna Waljamaaca is a Somalia-based paramilitary group consisting of moderate Sufis opposed to radical Islamist groups such as Al-Shabaab. They are fighting to prevent strict Sharia and Wahhabism from being imposed, and protecting the local Sunni-Sufi traditions and generally moderate religious views. During the civil war, the organization worked in cooperation with faction leader Mohamed Farrah Aidid. The group opposes laws banning music and khat, and hardline capital punishment or limb amputations advocated by extremist interpretations of Islam. They oppose the tearing down of religious shrines and stoning. They've previously fought against Shebaab.
According to residents, militiamen in fighting vehicles have begun squeezing government soldiers out of key army bases and a police compound in Dhusamareb in the early hours of Sunday morning. Al though a gun-battle triggered by the military push lasted few hours, the exact number of casualty figures has not been disclosed to the media.

A spokesman for the paramilitary unit said, they are in control of Dhusamareb.

Somali government forces fled to Adado where state formation convention is underway according to Himan and Heeb administration official, Arays Mohamed Haji.

In December, moderate Islamists wrested control of nearby Guri’el, however under a new deal, Ahlu Sunna agreed to de-escalate armed tensions.

The capture of Dhusamareb comes a week after the group which adheres to Sufism pulled out of Adado conference and severed ties with Mogadishu-based Federal Government.

Iraq
Troops advance against ISIS in Baiji. Again.
[RUDAW.NET] Iraqi troops backed by Shiite militias recaptured key parts of the northern refinery town of Beiji from Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
forces of Evil on Sunday, a general said.

The commander of the Interior Ministry's Quick Reaction Forces, General Nassir al-Fartousi, told state TV that the Iraqi flag was raised on a local government building in Beiji and that troops were advancing to other areas, without elaborating.

There was no word on the fate of the contested refinery on the town's outskirts.

Beiji, some 250 kilometers north of Baghdad, fell to the bully boy ISIS group during its blitz across northern Iraq nearly a year ago, but parts of the town and nearby refinery have since been retaken by government forces. The town is strategically significant as it lies on the road to ISIS-held djinn-infested Mosul
... the home of a particularly ferocious and hairy djinn...
, Iraq's second largest city.

Iraqi and Kurdish forces have managed to roll back the Islamic State group in many parts of the country with the help of US-led Arclight airstrikes, and recaptured Saddam Hussein's hometown of Tikrit in April. But last month the ISIS group captured Ramadi, the historic provincial capital of the western Anbar province, in the bully boys' most significant advance since last year.

The ISIS group has declared an Islamic caliphate in the territories it controls in Syria and Iraq, and has used oil facilities and smuggling to finance much of its operations.

#1  Politico Opinion: Iraq continues to fund ISIL by continuing salaries to the many Iraqi government employees who live in ISIL-controlled territory. That fact is a reminder of how poorly the country has been governed.
ISIL skims the money Iraq continues to pay public employees who live in areas captured and ruled by ISIL. One official estimate holds that it reaps hundreds of millions of dollars each year from this source.

#4  IIRC CNN AM > the USDOD = Pentagon has confirmed that the Iraqi Govt-ARmy controls only 1/2 of Basij/Beiji, + THAT ITS "PREMATURE/STILL TOO EARLY" TO LABEL THE ISIS/ISIL AS DEFEATED THERE.

As per #3, given the Bammer's ongoing or continuing "minimalist" approach to US FP,
"Saudis bombing Shias" is the more realistic scenario as per US Allies continuing to bear the OWG Globalist burden of having to win or protect US National Security "over there".

IFF THE BAMMER'S POST-JAN 2017 POTUS SUCCESSOR IS ANOTHER PCORRECT OR COVERT ANTI-US US GLOBALIST, WHATEVER MESS OF US FP THE BAMMER LEAVES BEHIND WILL BE MUCH BIGGER-N-WORSE THAN MAINSTREAM AMERIKA HAS SEEN SO FAR.

Coalition bombing kills ISIS governor in Tal Afar
[RUDAW.NET] Warplanes from the US-led coalition have bombarded ISIS positions in the district of Tal Afar west of djinn-infested Mosul
... the home of a particularly ferocious and hairy djinn...
, killing the ISIS governor in the district, a Kurdish official told Rudaw on Sunday.

"Peshmerga forces in coordination with warplanes managed to pound several ISIS arsenals and weaponry bases on Sunday inside Tal Afar," said Saeed Mamuzni, media officer of the Kurdistan Democratic Party's branch in Mosul.

He said the ISIS governor of Tal Afar, identified as Abbas Hamed, was killed along with three aides after a hit by coalition warplanes.

"After the bombardments ended the Peshmerga did not make any advance because of the geographical circumstances of the district, which has long been a fortified ISIS stronghold" since falling to the group's bandidos bandidos hard boys last year, Mamuzni said.

Earlier this month, coalition warplanes bombarded ISIS bases near the main Mosul-Tal Afar road, reportedly killing 10 of the group's myrmidons.

Tal Afar is a city and district in Iraq's northwestern Nineveh Province, located approximately 63 kilometers west of Mosul and about the same distance to Shingal.

ISIL Takfiri group claims responsibility for Diyala blast
[Iran Press TV] The ISIL Takfiri
...an adherent of takfir wal hijra, an offshoot of Salafism that regards everybody who doesn't agree with them as apostates who must be killed...
group has grabbed credit for a deadly car kaboom in eastern Iraq that killed at least 15 people.

ISIL Takfiri group claimed the attack in a statement posted on myrmidon forums on Sunday, saying that one of those killed was a member of the counterterrorism unit in Iraq's police.

The bomb "hit a string of restaurants on the eastern side of town... Most of the people there were truck drivers transporting goods between Baghdad and Kurdistan," a police captain said on Sunday.

The kaboom destroyed roadside restaurants at the entrance of the town of Balad Ruz, located some 65 kilometers (40 miles) northeast of the capital Baghdad, in the Diyala province late on Saturday.

At least 15 people were killed and over 37 others were maimed in the bombing, police said.

Meanwhile,
...back at the Alamo, Davy was counting their remaining cannon balls and not liking the results...
Khidhr Moslem Abed, a member of the Diyala provincial council, confirmed the toll.

IS leading militant appears in Iraqi Anbar after reports of his death
[ARA] After nearly eight months of reports about his death, leading member of the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
group (IS/ISIS) Shaker Wahib al-Fahdawi al-Dulaimi (also known as Prince of the Desert and Nusayris Hunter) appeared in a footage published online Sunday by pro-IS sources in Iraq.

Abu Wahib is the military commander for the Anbar province in Iraq. He has falsely been declared dead several times last year.

He is notorious for the execution of a group of Syrian Shiite truck drivers in Iraq in summer 2013.

The group published images for the IS leading member, Abu Wahib, driving a car in Anbar western Iraq, with burning marks shown on his right hand.

A pro-IS source in Anbar told ARA News (on the condition of anonymity) that Abu Wahib recovered and returned to his position after being injured in an air strike by the U.S.-led coalition's warplanes in October last year.

"Two months after recovery, the IS leading member married for the second time to a woman from djinn-infested Mosul
... the home of a particularly ferocious and hairy djinn...
and returned with her to Anbar days ago," the same source said, pointing out that Abu Wahib's first wife is the sister of Iraqi MP Ahmed Alwan, who has been under arrest since December 28, 2014, on charges of terrorism and suspicious links to the Islamic State group.

The Iraqi government published an image of the corpse of an IS turban, claiming it's Abu Wahib, after being subjected to a raid by an Iraqi warplane on the outskirts of Mosul.

Suicide car bomb kills 15 in Iraq
Baquba, Iraq -- A suicide car bomb ripped through roadside restaurants at the entrance to the town of Baladruz in eastern Iraq, killing at least 15 people, police and provincial officials said Sunday.

The attack took place late on Saturday at the entrance of Baladruz, which lies about 65 kilometres (40 miles) northeast of Baghdad, and was claimed by the Islamic State group.

“It hit a string of restaurants on the eastern side of town... Most of the people there were truck drivers transporting goods between Baghdad and Kurdistan,” a police captain said.

The officer said 37 people were also wounded in the explosion. Khidhr Muslim Abed, a member of the Diyala provincial council, confirmed the toll.

Daesh claimed the attack in a statement on Sunday and said that one of those killed was a member of the counterterrorism unit in Iraq’s police. The group named the suicide attacker as Ali al Ansari.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Israeli planes whack Gazoo
Jerusalem -- The Israeli air force hit the Gaza Strip early on Sunday for the second time in three days after new rocket fire from the territory hit southern Israel, the military said.
Ummm... We seen dis movie. Is it reruns already?
It was the third time Israel had staged retaliatory air strikes in Gaza in the past fortnight, with each raid following rocket fire on the Israeli south, raising fears of a new confrontation with Palestinian terrorists militants. Aircraft hit “terrorist militant infrastructure” in northern Gaza, a military statement said.

The Israeli government also ordered the closure until further notice of the Erez crossing for people and the Kerem Shalom crossing for goods. Only medical cases and humanitarian aid will be allowed through, it said. Palestinian security sources and witnesses said the air force targeted a training site belonging to Hamas’s armed wing, the Ezzedine Al Qassam Brigades, in the northern Beit Lahiya area.

The rocket fire on Saturday evening struck open ground near the southern Israeli port of Ashkelon, causing no casualties. The same area was targeted by three rockets on Wednesday night, which also prompted retaliatory air strikes. After that attack, the military deployed batteries of its Iron Dome air defence system around Ashkelon as a precaution, Israeli media reported on Friday.

The latest attack was claimed by a relatively-new group of terrorists extremists called the Supporters of the Daesh in Jerusalem, which has claimed responsibility for all three instances of rocket fire in the past two weeks. The first attack was on May 26. The terrorist group is locked in death power struggle with Hamas which is the de facto power in Gaza, with the terrorist movement’s security forces mounting a harsh crackdown on such fringe terrorist groups.

Last week, Hamas police shot dead a local terrorist militant leader during an arrest operation in Gaza City.

Since last summer, when Israel and Hamas fought a deadly 50-day war in and around Gaza, there have been growing signs of internal unrest in the territory with a spate of bomb attacks targeting public buildings and officials as well as international organisations. Although few have been claimed, they are believed to be the work of terrorists radical Salafists unafraid to challenge Hamas.

In Gaza, they have made no secret of their disdain for Hamas over its observance of a tacit ceasefire with Israel and its failure to implement Shariah.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Hezbollah fighters clear area near Arsal of militants
[Iran Press TV] Fighters belonging to Lebanese resistance movement, Hezbollah, have taken full control of a strategic hilltop on the outskirts of Leb's northeastern border town of Arsal.

The elite forces of the resistance movement managed to drive al-Qaeda linked al-Nusra
...formally Jabhat an-Nusrah li-Ahli sh-Sham (Support Front for the People of the Levant), also known as al-Qaeda in the Levant. They aim to establish a pan-Arab caliphate. Not the same one as the Islamic State, though .. ...
Front bully boyz out of Qarnat al-Tannour Heights on the outskirts of the town, the Lebanese al-Manar TV quoted informed sources as saying on Sunday.

According to the sources, a large number of the bully boyz were killed and injured in the operation by the resistance movement and many others fled the area.

High significance is attached to the recaptured area as it overlooks the three key valleys of Uwaiss, Atneen and al-Khayl in Arsal barrens, the sources added.

Meanwhile,
...back at the Senate, the partisans of Honorius went for their knives and the partisans of Stilicho went for the doors...
the Lebanese army shelled the positions of Death Eaters on the outskirts of the town, which lies about 124 kilometers (77 miles) northeast of the capital, Beirut.

On Friday, Lebanese security sources, speaking on condition of anonymity
... for fear of being murdered...
, said Hezbollah fighters regained full control of the al-Rahwah crossing on the outskirts of Arsal. The Hezbollah fighters had managed to take back the strategic border crossing of al-Darb, located southwest of Arsal, from al-Nusra Front bully boyz a day before.

The resistance fighters, who have been battling Death Eaters in the Lebanese border areas over the past weeks, also managed to clear the border heights of Majr al-Hamra and Shamis al-Hamra of the Death Eaters on June 3.

Hezbollah fighters and the Syrian army units are fighting the Death Eaters in the Lebanese-Syrian border region of Qalamoun as well.

In the latest development in the mountainous region, the joint forces of the Syrian army, Syria's National Defense Forces and Hezbollah fighters tightened the noose around the Death Eaters near the Syrian town of Flitah and retook control of a number of hilltops overlooking the border between Syria and Leb.

Syrian army combats Islamists, reports gains in Hasakah
[ARA] Subsequent to fierce battles with turbans of the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
(IS/ISIS), the pro-regime forces regained control of locations south of Hasakah city, northeastern Syria, local activists reported on Sunday.

Hasakah witnessed Sunday the heaviest battles since the beginning of IS offensive on the southern countryside of the city.

Speaking to ARA News in Hasakah, political activist Abdulsalam Saleh said that fierce festivities took place between IS turbans and the pro-regime forces with heavy and medium weapons amid support of artillery, tanks and the fighter jets ــwhich have played a prominent role in the advance of regime forces.

The source pointed out that the regime's army has made "a remarkable progress" toward the juvenile prison and the power plant (1-4 km south and southeast of Hasakah city) where the festivities centered.

"The army and security forces are planning to launch a military operation soon, under the supervision of Major General Mohammed Kaddour and Brigadier General Mohammad Meyya, to attack the IS group from three sides and regain control of locations seized recently by the group," an official security source told ARA News.

He pointed out that the frequent car kabooms launched by the group caused the delay of the anti-IS operation south Hasakah.

The Islamic State group is in control of major areas in the southern countryside of Hasakah, including the town of Shaddadi which was taken by the group as a major stronghold in the province more than a year ago.
