Egyptian army kills 10 militants in Bahariya Oasis
[Al Ahram] The Egyptian army killed ten members of a "terrorist cell" in the Bahariya Oasis on Monday, a statement by the army front man read.

The army used commandos and air forces, along with anti-terrorism police, in their offensive against the terrorist cell, according to the statement, which was published on the front man's official Facebook page.

The cell was planning to execute terrorist and criminal acts against vital targets and foreign interests during the Eid vacation, scheduled to take place from 23 to 27 September, the statement added.

One myrmidon in the cell was injured in the attack and has since been taken into custody.

The army said they discovered the cell based on "accurate intelligence information."

Egypt's army is fighting a decade-long myrmidon insurgency in North Sinai that has spiked in the last two years.

However,
we can't all be heroes. Somebody has to sit on the curb and applaud when they go by...
security forces have also warned of myrmidon activity in other parts of the country, particularly in the Western Desert which covers much of western Egypt.

Last week, eight Mexican tourists and four Egyptians were killed in the Western Desert, close to the Bahariya Oasis, by a joint police-military force that mistook them for myrmidons.

Security officials said the tourists were in a "restricted area"and have promised a full investigation.

The Bahariya Oasis area is a well-known touristic area, popular for visitors who want to explore nearby attractions such as the White and Black Desert. It is located around 365km south-west of Cairo.

The army's Monday offensive is part of the "Martyr's Right" campaign, now in its 15th day, which is said to be the army's largest and most comprehensive operation aimed at rooting out terrorism.

In the nearby village of Gouzoudou meanwhile two women carried out a botched suicide kaboom, injuring two farmers.

, died in a Monday night confrontation with soldiers, the source added, saying the army did not incur any casualties.

A security source who did not wish to be identified indicated that "Boko Haram made an incursion into Amchide yesterday" but were pushed back by Cameroonian troops.

The source added they returned Tuesday but were likewise repulsed.

Amchide is just over the border from the Nigerian city of Banki, which has been occupied for around a year by Boko Haram and which Nigerian troops are preparing to retake, according to Cameroonian sources.

At the entrance to Gouzoudou village, which is also located in Cameroon's far north, twojacket wallah'> exploding trollop female suicide bomber

"The two suicide attackers appeared to have been aiming to blow themselves up on Monday, which is market day in the village, but it was guarded by the security forces," a source close to the authorities said.

The two women hid and carried out the attack at dawn Tuesday.

"Two people who were on their way to the fields were maimed," the source added.

More than 100 people have been killed in a total of 13 suicide attacks by Boko Haram in Cameroon's far north since July.

Troops from both Nigeria and Cameroon belong to a multinational regional joint task also comprising forces from Benin, Chad and Niger tasked with driving back Boko Haram as it seeks to spread its sphere of influence.

Arabia
Drone strike kills 2 al-Qaeda suspects in Yemen
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] A U.S. drone strike has killed two suspected members of Al-Qaeda east of the Yemeni capital, a local official said on Tuesday.

"Two members of Al-Qaeda were killed when a missile from a U.S. drone hit their vehicle" on the outskirts of the city of Marib during the night, the official told AFP.

Marib province has seen fierce fighting in recent weeks as forces loyal to exiled President Abedrabbo Mansour Hadi press an offensive against Iranian catspaws with the support of Saudi-led troops.

Washington has waged a longstanding drone war against Al-Qaeda's Yemen-based branch which it regards as the jihadist network's most dangerous.

The strikes have continued alongside the Saudi-led military intervention which began in March against the Huthi holy warriors who control the capital.

Al-Qaeda said in June that its leader in Yemen, Nasir al-Wuhayshi, had been killed by a US drone.

Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula
...the latest incarnation of various Qaeda and Qaeda-allied groups, including the now-defunct Aden-Abyan Islamic Army that boomed the USS Cole in 2000...
(AQAP) controls parts of the vast southeastern province of Hadramawt, including the quiet provincial capital Mukalla which they seized in April.

On Monday the jihadists angered Mukalla residents by razing tombs in an old cemetery, according to an official in the coastal city.

"Some of these tombs are for religious dignitaries and are 300 years old," the official said.

Al-Qaeda and its jihadist rival, the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. of Iraq and Syria group (ISIS), regard the reverence of tombs as tantamount to idolatry.

Al-Qaeda murderous Moslems have also stirred discontent after selling 1,000 barrels of crude oil stocked in a port near Mukalla to a local merchant.

AQAP members in Mukalla released a statement defending their action, saying a local council made of dignitaries had been "incapable" of running the city.

Also on Monday, Saudi war planes pounded several residential areas in the Yemeni capital city of Sana'a, killing at least 25 civilians.

Saudi-US aggression targeted the districts of Hasbah, Sawan as well as a sports stadium in the capital, killing 25 people and injuring dozens of others.

Several residential houses as well as an administrative building were destroyed in the Arclight airstrikes.

has been striking Yemen for 181 days now to restore power to runaway president Abed Rabbu Mansour Hadi, a close ally of Riyadh. The Saudi-led aggression has so far killed at least 6,161 Yemenis, including hundreds of women and kiddies.

Despite Riyadh's claims that it is bombing the positions of the Ansarullah fighters, Saudi warplanes are flattening residential areas and civilian infrastructures.

Yemen's Retaliation Expands Gradually into the Saudi Depth
[ALMANAR.LB] Despite an aggression conducted by Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
and its allies on Yemen, the Yemenis responded with intensified operations that are gradually spreading into the Saudi depth.

On the borders with Yemen, there are three areas that belong to Saudi Arabia: Jizan, Asir and Najran. They are mountainous deserted areas with low population, yet they became full of military sites, especially after the Saudi involvement on the Yemeni land.

What are these sites, and how wide are the Yemeni army and the popular committees spread in these areas? Let's start with Asir:

The sites there are called: Qishbah, Hasan, Faya and Sahwa. These sites overlook the Saudi ar-Rabou'a city, which is a residential area with houses spread over some hills.

The four sites are located to the southern western side of ar-Rabou'a and overlook the city directly. In an operation, the Yemeni army managed to reach the closest military point there.

In the second area; Najran:
The army, along with popular committees, took control over the Shurfa military base, a mountain range that overlooks the city of Najran and the al-Makhrouk military base, which is also close to the city of Najran.

In Jizan, also some sites fell in the hands of the Yemeni army and the popular committees:

Al-Amoud, Twaileq, Mashaal, Malhama, MBC, Wadi Jara Hills, al-Fkhaitha sites, the Qawwa military complex and the nearby hills, Gharf Sheikh site, Faridha, and Fardha al-Jaberi military site, in addition to the sites of Qaryat Qamar and Qaryat Zhahira that belong to Jizan's city of al-Khouba.

These military attacks, over three days, resulted according to Yemeni sources in:
  • Destroying and damaging more than 300 military vehicle between tanks and armored vehicles
  • Seizing number of tanks, vehicles and advanced weapons
  • Killing and injuring hundreds of Saudi officers and soldiers
  • Taking number of Saudi soldiers as hostages
  • Shooting down number of helicopters and spy drones
The Yemeni military operations' success puts the back lines of Saudi military bases under the Yemeni fire. The same also applies to tens of Kilometers in the Saudi depth.

Saudi Arabia Admits 2 of Its Soldiers Detained in Yemen, 3 Missing
[ALMANAR.LB] Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...

...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of. Except for a tiny handfull of Jews everthing there is very Islamic...
have been taken hostages by the Ansarullah resistance movement.

"Two Saudi soldiers fighting with the Arab coalition in Yemen have been detained by Houthi
...a Zaidi Shia insurgent group operating in Yemen. They have also been referred to as the Believing Youth. Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi is said to be the spiritual leader of the group and most of the military leaders are his relatives. rebels. They are detainees and not hostages," coalition front man Ahmed Assiri said, adding "They lost their way inside Yemeni territory."

Three other Saudi soldiers are missing, Assiri said.

The front man did not say when or where inside Yemen the incident took place.

The Saudi acknowledgment came after military media in Yemen broadcast a video footage of one of the Saudi soldiers who were locked away
Yez got nuttin' on me, coppers! Nuttin'!
by the Yemeni army and people's committees during the confrontations on the border front with Saudi Arabia.

The prisoner, named Ibrahim Arraj Mohammed Hakami of the Fourth Battalion, First Brigade, based in Jizan, called upon the Saudi army and the Defense Ministry to stop the war "which is of no benefit but the destruction and killing of our brothers in Yemen."

Later on, the Yemeni state-run TV channel Al-Masira broadcast an exclusive footage showing the Yemeni army and the Popular Committees forces storming the Saudi military posts of Al-Raboueiya in Assir region.

The video scenes document detaining more Saudi hostages, as one of them appears maimed and receiving treatment by the Yemeni troops.

Europe
PYD: Syrian refugee tripped by Hungarian journalist was member of radical al-Nusra Front
The rest of the story.
[Rudaw] The Syrian refugee who was tripped by a Hungarian camerawoman earlier this month was a member of the radical al-Nusra
...formally Jabhat an-Nusrah li-Ahli sh-Sham (Support Front for the People of the Levant), also known as al-Qaeda in the Levant. They aim to establish a pan-Arab caliphate. Not the same one as the Islamic State, though .. ...
Front and fought the Kurds on many fronts in Syria, the Democratic Union Party (PYD) said Saturday.

The video footage of Osama Abdul Mohsen being kicked by a camerawoman on the Hungary-Serbia border went viral and prompted uproar around the world.

Abdul Mohsen later landed in Spain where he was offered a job and welcomed by Real Madrid football club including famous footballer Cristiano Ronaldo.

However,
facts are stubborn; statistics are more pliable...
the Kurdish group PYD alleged in its official media that Abdul Mohsen had fought alongside the Nusra Front before leaving Syria with his family in the spring of 2015.

Furthermore, the PYD claimed that Abdul Mohsen was involved in the violent suppression of Kurdish riots in the city of Qamishlo in 2004 following a football match were more than 50 Kurds were killed by the Syrian security forces.

Abdul Mohsen was the coach of al-Fatwa club in Deir Ez Zor from 2004-2010.

The PYD said that he was an instigator behind the violence after the football match between al-Fatwa and Qamishlo's Jihad club.

The PYD published a picture of Abdul Mohsen from his Facebook page before closing it down earlier this year where he identifies himself as a member of the Nusra Front, adding that he had fought the Kurds near Amudeh, Serekaniye and Afrin.

#1  Rudaw is following the story, and has this update from Spain at 5:15 pm ET:

Spanish football club: claims about tripped Syrian refugee are a ‘hoax’

BARCELONA, Spain – Reports claiming that a Syrian refugee -- who shot to fame after he was tripped by a Hungarian camerawoman -- was a member of a radical Islamist group are a “hoax,” said the head of the Spanish football club that brought the asylum-seeker to Madrid and gave him a job.

The denial came after the Kurdish Democratic Union Party (PYD) in Syria said earlier this week that Osama Abdul Mohsen, 52, had been a member of the radical al-Nusrah Front and had fought the Kurds on many fronts.

The El Pais newspaper on Tuesday quoted Miguel Angel Galan, the director of the Madrid-based National Soccer Coach Training Center (Cenafe), as saying pictures that appeared on a Facebook account under the name Osama Abdul Mohsen are a “hoax.”

“He doesn’t have a Facebook account,” Galan said.

Cenafe has used money from its advertising budget to pay for an apartment in Getafe, a Madrid suburb, where Abdul Mohsen is staying with two of his children.

His wife and two other children are still in Turkey, where the family had been for a year after escaping the war in Syria.

Cenafe said that next week it would make efforts to bring the entire family to Spain.

Here's hoping Cenafe is right about the gentleman and his family.

The Turkish Air Force hit targets in the Sinat-Haftanin area in Iraq's north, destroying PKK shelters, ammunition depots and warehouses, security sources said, according to the state-run Anadolu Agency.

The targets hit by Turkish F-16 and F-4 2020 fighter jets were determined over intelligence and images gathered by drones and other intelligence sources.

The fighter jets hit four targets simultaneously and fire and kabooms erupting from a strike on an ammunition warehouse lasted for 55 minutes, with smoke rising into the air.

The strikes posed a critical move to destroy one of the most significant logistics facilities of the outlawed organization.

SI set to attend Safoora suspect's identification parade shot dead
[DAWN] An eyewitness in a policeman murder case registered against Tahir Minhas -- the prime suspect in the Safoora Goth carnage case -- was bumped off outside his house in Mumtaz Colony on Monday.

Sub-Inspector Ishtiaq Awan, the additional SHO of the City cop shoppe of Tando Mohammad Khan, was attacked by two gunnies as soon as he came out of his house and walked up to his car, parked in the garage. The Hyderabad SSP had written to his Tando Mohammad Khan counterpart in the last week of August that SI Awan was required to recognise the killer of SI Manoj Kumar, who was rubbed out in Dec 2010, for which an identification parade was scheduled for Aug 31 this year.

Minhas, incarcerated
Yez got nuttin' on me, coppers! Nuttin'!
recently in Bloody Karachi
...formerly the capital of Pakistain, now merely its most important port and financial center. It is among the largest cities in the world, with a population of 18 million, most of whom hate each other and many of whom are armed and dangerous...
for his alleged involvement in the Safoora Goth carnage, was to be identified but, according to police sources, SI Awan fearing for his life was reluctant to pick out Minhas considering the fact that SI Kumar was bumped off for being the investigation officer in the kidnapping and murder case of a young Hindu engineer, Greesh Kumar. The Kumar murder case was eventually transferred to a Karachi Anti-Terrorism Court-I (ATC) from the Hyderabad ATC.

Hyderabad SSP Irfan Baloch said that the assailants were waiting for him and as soon as he came out of his house, they came close to him and shot him in the garage. When the victim fell down, they pumped more bullets into his body from point-blank range and fled.

Some reports suggested that the attackers fled when the onlookers started throwing bricks at them while the suspects were emptying the magazine. Awan received five bullet wounds to his skull and abdomen.

SI Awan was the complainant in the murder case of SI Manoj Kumar, who was bumped off on Dec 23, 2010. The case (FIR 283/10) was registered at the Market cop shoppe against unknown killers.

The engineer was kidnapped on Aug 17, 2006 and his murder case (76/06) was also registered at the Market cop shoppe. The suspects -- who were charge-sheeted before the Hyderabad ATC in this case -- included Tahir Minhas, Javed Ansari, Mohammad Ali, Asghar Arain, Rashid Sheikh and Shahid Hussain Minhas. The victim's remains were found in Kotri on Feb 7, 2007. Minhas was acquitted in the case by the Hyderabad ATC in 2009 for want evidence.

SI Awan did not go to Karachi to identify Minhas in the ATC-I, where a supplementary charge-sheet against the suspect was submitted on Sept 17, 2015. "Since he was reluctant to identify Minhas due to the fear factor, SI Awan submitted his statement with the investigation officer of Mr Kumar's murder case," a police source said. He (Awan) stated that since he recognised Minhas by his photographs that appeared in the media. He said he would record his further statement before the ATC, the source said.

It is mandatory under law for a lawfully valid identification parade under the Qanoon-e-Shahdat that the suspect to be identified is not to be shown/exposed to anyone before the identification parade and is to be produced before a magistrate with his face covered.

Two suspected RAW agents arrested in Kurram agency
Suddenly there's a RAW agent under every bed, a secret message hidden in every privy.
[DAWN] Security forces on Tuesday claimed to have jugged

two individuals working for Indian intelligence agency RAW from Parachinar in Kurram tribal agency.

The alleged Indian agents were reportedly arrested on September 19, but presented in front of the media today.

The alleged RAW agents were arrested after an intelligence based operation (IBO) was carried out by security agencies.

"During investigation the arrested individuals have confessed to working for the Indian agency RAW," said Shahidullah, Assistant Political Agent of Kurram agency.

He further added that the arrested individuals were involved in terrorism related activities and sectarian attacks in Kurram agency.

"We also recovered $300 and INR178,000 from them, including uniforms of the armed forces," stated the assistant political agent of Kurran tribal agency.

Last week, Dawn newspaper reported that two alleged agents of the Indian intelligence agency RAW were arrested at Wagah.

Earlier in August, law enforcement agencies had claimed to have arrested four suspects linked to India's RAW spy agency Lahore.

The military's top brass in May accused RAW of supporting terrorism in Pakistain. A previous ISPR statement on a meeting of the Corps Commanders held at the General Headquarters said: "The conference also took serious notice of RAW's involvement in whipping up terrorism in Pakistain."

While RAW has been blamed by Pak authorities in the past, it is unusual for a corps commanders' conference to directly point fingers at the hostile intelligence outfit.

International-UN-NGOs
Report: U.S. foils assassination bids of Iraqi PM
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] The U.S. embassy has foiled two attempts to assassinate Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, a high-level Iraqi official told the London-based Asharq al-Awsat in an interview published Tuesday.

The official, who spoke under the condition of anonymity, said the first operation to eliminate Abadi, who took power last September and has been hailed for his sweeping reforms, was in its early stages.

However,
a good lie finds more believers than a bad truth...
the second bid -- at Baghdad's heavily fortified Green Zone - to assassinate the premier was "advanced" in reaching its target, and led to the arrests of suspects, who are army officers.

The official said these liquidation attempts were due to Abadi's reforms.

Abadi's predecessor Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki
... Prime Minister of Iraq and the secretary-general of the Islamic Dawa Party. Maliki imposed order on Basra wen the Shiites were going nuts, but has proven incapable of dealing with al-Qaeda's Sunni insurgency. Reelected to his third term in 2014...
was denounced by critics for estranging Sunnis in the country, leading to the seizure of Iraq's northern city of djinn-infested Mosul
... the home of a particularly ferocious and hairy djinn...
by Islamist bully boyz in June last year.

The report came after Abadi said he expected a coup against him, and this might cost him his life as well.

Last month, Abadi abolished the positions of vice-president and vice-premier. As a result, Maliki, the-then vice president, was the most senior politician to be removed from his post.

According to the official, Abadi recently criticized a government convoy - seen in the southern city of Basra -- awaiting Iranian Gen. Qassem Soleimani, head of the powerful Revolutionary Guard's elite Quds unit.

The official said the premier did not know of Soleimani's visit to Iraq and expressed surprise and concern that the Iranian general's visit was not official.

Images circulating online showed Soleimani with the mainly Shiite militia volunteer groups of the Population Mobilization units in Iraq fighting Islamic State

Kurdish fighters of the People's Protection Units (YPG) have been combating holy warriors of the ISIS bully boy group in the countryside of Sere Kaniye for more than a year.

Syria rebels claim to have freed British woman
[EN.ZAMANALWSL.NET] A coalition of several krazed killer groups in Syria is claiming that it has freed a British woman and her five children who were kidnapped in the country.

The statement by Jabha al-Shamiya, or the Levant Front, was reported Tuesday by the U.S.- based SITE Intelligence Group, which monitors bully boy websites.

On the group's Facebook page, it adds the woman had traveled to an area controlled by rival ISIS to convince her husband to leave, but failed. The Front, mostly operating in northern Aleppo province, said the woman was kidnapped as she fled from the ISIS-held area; it didn't identify her kidnappers.

The British Foreign Office said a British woman and her five children have been reported missing in The Sick Man of Europe Turkey

The opposition UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that the Syrian warplanes launched "exact strikes at ISIL positions in Palmyra, Al-Sakhna in the province of Homs.
An Nahar adds:
The Syrian air force has been increasing its strikes against IS in recent days as it received reinforcements from Russia, he said.

"The number of raids is growing and the strikes are more precise after the Syrian air force received arms and more efficient planes from Moscow," said Abdel Rahman, whose group relies on broad network of civilian, military and medical sources inside Syria.

Experts close to the regime have told AFP that Russia has sent advisers to train Syrian troops in the new weapons, in particular short-range air defence systems and tanks.

Suicide bomber bursts into tears and is comforted by jihadis before fatal attack in Syria
[MIRROR.CO.UK] A jihadist jacket wallah was filmed breaking down in tears before being sent to his death in war-torn Syria.

The frightened fighter, named as an Jafar al-Tayyar, from Uzbekistan, is seen being comforted by his fellow Death Eaters moments before he launches his deadly attack on Shi'ite town of Fua in Idlib Province - an Assad regime stronghold.

After he climbs into the explosives-packed armoured personnel carrier, the young man starts sobbing.

An fellow Death Eater says: "Jafar, my brother, don't be afraid. When you are scared, remember Allah," the Death Eater says.

"I'm just scared I won't succeed," al-Tayyar tells his fellow Death Eaters.

But the footage shows he does succeed - and an earth-shattering kaboom rocks the camera at the end of the video.

The video's narrator says he is the "first volunteer mujahid (jihad fighter) of Mawarannahr," a term used by some jihadists to refer to an area of Central Asia corresponding approximately with modern-day Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, southern Kyrgyzstan and southwest Kazakhstan.

He was a fighter for the Imam Bukhari Jamaat, an Uzbek-led faction fighting alongside the Al-Qaeda-linked Al-Nusra Front, reports Radio Liberty.

Terror groups, including ISIS, frequently use foreign-born fighters in suicide kabooms.

Pentagon Says Coalition Strikes Killed Two Well-Known Jihadists

group, the Pentagon said Tuesday, also confirming the death in Syria of a French jihadist.

Abu Bakr al-Turkmani died September 10 in a strike in Tal Afar in northern Iraq, Pentagon press secretary Peter Cook told news hounds.

"He was an ISIL administrative emir, he was part of al-Qaeda in Iraq before joining ISIL and was a close associate to multiple ISIL big shots in Iraq," Cook said, using an alternative acronym for the Islamic State group.

Cook also confirmed the death of French jihadist David Drugeon, who died in an Arclight airstrike near Aleppo, Syria on July 5.

Drugeon was a member of a network of veteran Al-Qaeda operatives sometimes called the Khorasan Group, which plots attacks against the West, Cook said.

"As an explosives expert, he trained other forces of Evil in Syria and sought to plan other attacks against Western targets," he added.

AFP reported Drugeon's death on September 11.

He was born in 1989 and had converted to Islam aged 13 before drawing close to ultraconservative Salafist Moslems.
