Egypt's security forces kill 9 'terrorists' during raid in Giza
More on this story from yesterday.
[AlAhram] The ministry of interior says that the "terrorists" were involved in the bombings of the Italian consulate in Cairo and the national security building in Qalyubia

Nine "terrorists" involved in the July bombing of the Italian consulate in Cairo were killed by Egypt's security forces during a raid in Giza on Friday, the ministry of interior announced in an official statement.

According to the statement, the nine "terrorists" were killed in an exchange of fire with security forces in Aussim district, Giza.

Three coppers and two conscripts were maimed in the raid.

The injured coppers and conscripts were transferred to the hospital to receive treatment.

The statement added that the Lions of Islam were found with weapons, including boom belts used for suicide kabooms.

The ministry of interior said that the "terrorists" were involved in the bombing of the Italian consulate in Cairo in July and the bombing of the National security building in Qalyubia in August.

An Islamic-state affiliated group in Egypt already grabbed credit for both bombings.

Hours before the interior ministry's statement, officials told Rooters that security forces killed nine members of the Moslem Brüderbund in a raid in Giza.
So which were they -- MB, ISIS in Egypt, or double billing?
The now-dissolved Freedom and Justice Party, the political arm of the Moslem Brüderbund, reported on its official website "Freedom and Justice Party Gate" that the nine people killed in Aussim were not members of the group nor were they Morsi supporters, according to sources in the Brotherhood.

The Moslem Brüderbund was designated as a terrorist organization by the Egyptian government in 2013. Its political arm, the Freedom and Justice Party, was dissolved by an administrative court order in 2014.

Egypt's prosecutor general is currently investigating the incident.

Two Egyptian policemen killed by explosive device in North Sinai
[AlAhram] Two police conscripts were killed and 16 others injured early Saturday when an IED (improvised bomb) detonated in North Sinai, the interior ministry announced.

According to the short statement issued by the ministry, the IED, planted by unknown assailants, detonated when a security forces armoured vehicle was passing on a road in Al-Arish.

The injured were taken to hospital to receive treatment.

affiliated group -- grabbed credit for the attack in a statement published on social media networks.

Egypt's security forces are currently fighting a campaign against a decade-long hard boy insurgency in North Sinai.

Last week, the Egyptian armed forces announced the end of the first stage of the "Martyrs' Right" operation, which involved the killing of over 500 hard boyz in North Sinai in 16 days.

Militants have killed hundreds of police and army personnel in the past year and a half in North Sinai, while authorities have announced that hundreds of hard boyz have been killed in military campaigns in the governorate.

The Islamist group Ansar Beit Al-Maqdis, recently renamed Sinai Province, has grabbed credit for most attacks against security forces in North Sinai.

15 Civilians Killed in Boko Haram Attack in SE Niger
[AnNahar] Fifteen non-combatants were killed in an attack by Boko Haram
... not to be confused with Procol Harum, Harum Scarum, possibly to be confused with Helter Skelter. The Nigerian version of al-Qaeda and the Taliban rolled together and flavored with a smigeon of distinctly Subsaharan ignorance and brutality...
Lions of Islam on a border village in southeastern Niger, state television
... and if you can't believe state television who can you believe?
reported Friday, the latest deadly raid by the Islamist group.

The attack followed two months of calm in the area and took place as Moslems marked Eid al-Adha, the Feast of Sacrifice, the most important holiday of the Islamic calendar.

"We found a dreadful scene, around 15 people had been executed, four of whom were from Nigeria," Hassan Ardo, an official from the Diffa governorate told the Tele Sahel television station. The attackers had also torched 22 houses, a car and a mill, he said, and left four others maimed.

The station said the attack took place Thursday night and was carried out by around a dozen armed Lions of Islam who had arrived on foot at the village on the banks of the Komadougou Yobe river on the border with Nigeria. One of the victims was the village chief, the Afani private radio station reported.

Niger, whose primary source of foreign income is uranium, has joined a regional military alliance, alongside Chad, Niger and Nigeria, to fight Boko Haram, infamous for mass abductions, village massacres and suicide kabooms by women and teenagers.

Since February this year, the southern Diffa region has suffered several deadly Boko Haram raids.

Diffa lies on the border with northeast Nigeria
... a particularly crimson stretch of Islam's bloody border...
, where the Islamists have waged a bloody uprising since 2009, leaving at least 15,000 dead and more than two million others homeless.

Thousands of Nigerian refugees have fled to southeast Niger to escape Boko Haram with one of the largest refugee camps about 10 kilometres (six miles) from Diffa.

The enrolment of youths from Niger in Boko Haram shows radical Islam has gained ground in the country and in July authorities in Diffa banned the full Islamic veil following suicide kabooms in the region by women wearing the religious garment.

While Niger gets ready for general elections in 2016, its security forces must also contend with the threat of jihadist movements coming across the border from Mali and Libya.

"Niger is caught in a vice between the terrorist attacks of Boko Haram in the south, the instability in Libya in the north and the precarious situation on the west on the border with Mali," special envoy to west Africa Mohammed Ibn Chambas said earlier this month.

Arabia
Saudi Arabia Acknowledges casualties in Yemeni Missile Attack
[ALMANAR.LB] A missile attack by the Yemeni forces in the province of Jizan killed two senior Saudi army officers on Saturday, the interior ministry acknowledged in a statement.

A Saudi army colonel and a sergeant were killed in the Yemeni forces' attacks on the border region of Al-Hares in Jizan province, the Saudi interior ministry announced.

The Saudi interior ministry did not disclose the names of those killed in the attack.

Earlier in the day, the Yemeni forces killed a Saudi border guard general in an artillery attack on al-Khoba region.

"The Saudi border guard commander in al-Khoba region and one of his soldiers were killed in the Yemeni army and popular forces operations in al-Khoba," the Arabic-language al-Masyra television quoted Yemeni sources as saying.

The sources did not disclose the name of the Saudi border guard.

In August another Saudi army general was killed by the Yemeni forces in an artillery attack on Jizan province.

Major General Abdulrahman bin Saad Al Shahrani, commander of Saudi Army's 18th Brigade, had been visiting the troops deployed "on the front lines along the southern region when he had come under enemy fire.

Shahrani had been maimed in the attack and hospitalized, but he had later departed this vale of tears. He is one of the two highest ranking Saudi officers killed in the war with Yemen.

#1  Historically, the Saudis are generally much better at "defense" than "offense" - Limited or Total, Unilateral or Joint - as per during the height of the Cold War, i.e. the 1967 Six-Day war + 1973 Yom Kippur + espec DESERT SHIELD/STORM.

THE MAHA-RUSHIAN QUESTIONNE' REMAINS - CAN A SAUDI-IRAN WAR, + BY EXTENSION A US-IRAN WAR, BE SUCCESSFULLY AVOIDED BY ALL PARTIES DESPITE THE SUNNI-VS-SHIA RESPONSE TO BOTH THE HARD BOY THREAT + EACH OTHER???

...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
between security forces and two brothers wanted in connection with several attacks last week, the Interior Ministry said on Saturday.

Islamic State has called on supporters to carry out attacks in Saudi Arabia and string of deadly attacks by its followers has fuelled concerns about a growing threat of militancy in the world's top oil exporter.

The two brothers were suspects in shootings that killed two civilians outside a cop shoppe and a soldier in separate incidents on Thursday. They were also wanted for allegedly killing their cousin, a member of the Saudi security forces.

Abdul Aziz al-Anzi, 18, was killed, while his brother Saad, 21, was maimed and captured in the shoot-out in the northern desert province of Ha'il, the Interior Ministry said.

In the worst attacks by the group in the kingdom to date, two jacket wallahs killed 25 people at Shi'ite Moslem mosques in the east of the country in May.

Saudi authorities say they are cracking down on the bandidos snuffies and announced in July that it had detained 431 people suspected of belonging to the organization.

20 Yemen rebels killed as loyalists press offensive
Loyalist forces
Loyal to whom?
in Yemen backed by a Saudi-led coalition killed at least 20 Iran-backed insurgents on Saturday, the military said, as they pressed their offensive on the rebel-held capital Sanaa. Twelve other rebels were captured in the operation launched on the northwestern edge of Marib province, a key battleground in the fight for control of the capital, said a military official.

"Loyalist forces, supported by coalition aircraft, have made a slight advance" in the northwest of Marib, Abda Al Subei, of the provincial security forces, said.

President Abedrabbo Mansour Hadi's forces launched a major ground offensive against the Houthi rebels in oil-rich Marib province on September 13, backed by the coalition.

Subei said Saturday's operation came a day after coalition air strikes on rebel positions. He did not elaborate on the overall progress of the offensive.
"I can say no more!"
But another Yemeni officer, Murad Turiq, said ground forces came across land mines planted by rebels and were also having difficulty moving through the mountainous region.

Meanwhile, a senior Saudi officer and another border guard were killed in a gun battle after a landmine blast along the frontier with Yemen, the interior ministry said. Colonel Hassan Ghasoum Ageeli and a sergeant died late Friday in the Jazan district, and four other guards were lightly wounded, a ministry statement said.

Ageeli is one of the most senior Saudi officers killed since March when the Kingdom formed the coalition.

The landmine blast damaged vehicles patrolling the border district.

After backup arrived, "they were subject to heavy shooting from several locations inside the Yemeni border," sparking a firefight, it said.

Riyadh launched air strikes against the Houthis six months ago to support President Hadi's internationally backed government that was losing ground.

Europe
France launches anti-Daesh air strikes in Syria
[BBC] France has launched its first air strikes against Daesh militants in Syria.

The French president's office said that planes hit targets identified during reconnaissance missions conducted over the past two weeks. France co-ordinated with regional partners for the operation, a brief statement said.

French jets have previously carried out air strikes against IS targets in neighbouring Iraq.

Until now, France said that international law prevented it from attacking targets in Syria, and it was adamant that it would do nothing to help - even indirectly - the Assad government. But the situation has changed.
Thanks, Obama.
France now says it has evidence that Daesg planned terror attacks against it from Syria - making air strikes against the militants legitimate under UN rules on self-defense.

#1  Seems Hollande is giving youknowwho a lesson in how a liberal/socialist conducts foreign policy against a security threat.

After all, Von Clausewitz said that war was diplomacy by other means...

It still amazes me that the French, the white flag, two bottle of red at lunch French are now the foreign policy realists in the west...ignore Putin, we always knew he was pragmatic and realistic as hell.

's stalled "solution process" is being blocked by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan

, according to the co-leader of the Kurdish problem-focused Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP).

Selahattin Demirtas said on Sept. 25 that the process -- officially launched in early 2013 but halted after the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) renewed its armed campaign in July -- could be resumed before the Nov. 1 general election, Anadolu Agency reported.

"The solution process could be revived before the Nov. 1 general election but President Erdogan closed his doors entirely," Demirtas told news hounds in Copenhagen before meeting Danish Foreign Minister Kristian Jensen.

"Erdogan is doing what is necessary to not start the solution process," he added, according the Anadolu Agency report.

Talks between the PKK leadership and the government were facilitated by the HDP and ran for two-and-a-half years as both sides sought to bring the 30-year Kurdish conflict to an end.

However,
nothing needs reforming like other people's bad habits...
fighting resumed following the July 20 Suruc massacre, in which more than 30 people were killed. More than 120 members of the security forces have been murdered by the PKK since, according to the government, with around 30 civilians also killed.

The violence has threatened to overshadow November's election, which was called after the June poll failed to produce a majority party and talks to form a coalition failed.

Four civilians killed amid clashes in southeast Turkey: Source
[AlAhram] Four civilians have been killed after they were caught in festivities between Turkish security forces and Kurdish Death Eaters in the southeast, security sources said Saturday.

An ambulance driver was killed on site in the Beytussebab district of Sirnak province and three civilians maimed by mortar shells died later of their injuries at hospital, the sources told AFP.

The festivities broke out early Friday when outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) Death Eaters launched simultaneous attacks on police and gendarmerie command posts in Beytussebab -- a day after two Turkish soldiers and 34 Kurdish rebels were killed in the region.

Meanwhile the Turkish army announced on Saturday that its warplanes pounded PKK shelters and depots in the Gara region of northern Iraq.

The Turkish government has waged a comprehensive "anti-terrorist" operation against the PKK since late July, with the aim of flushing the group out of its strongholds in southeastern The Sick Man of Europe Turkey

and northern Iraq.

The PKK, designated a terrorist organization by Turkey and its Western allies, has hit back hard, killing dozens of police and soldiers in almost daily bomb and gunfire attacks.

The escalation has shattered a two-year ceasefire which had raised hopes of an end to the PKK's three-decade insurgency, in which more than 40,000 people have been killed.

Iraq
Iraqi security reports slow advance into Ramadi
Shame works in such a culture. For a while, anyway.
[Rudaw] A day after the US military command reported that no progress had been made in the battle for Ramadi, the Iraqi security reported Saturday that they attacked Islamist bully boyz in the city and recaptured one cop shoppe, inflicting heavy damages on the myrmidons.

"On Saturday, Iraqi security forces launched an assault on ISIS bully boyz in the neighborhood of Albu Zayab northern Ramadi, killing many bully boyz and driving them out of the area," a Ramadi security official told Rudaw.

The officer added that five ISIS bully boyz were killed in the operation.

"The security forces have made good advances in northern Ramadi, inflicting heavy casualties from the krazed killer group," he added.

The US central command (CENTCOM) acknowledged on Friday that the Iraqi army had made no progress in retaking Ramadi despite heavy concentration of troops around the city.

"In terms of the Iraqis around Ramadi, again, we've seen them taking their positions and -- and preparing for seizure operations, but in terms of why they have not moved, that's a question that we're discussing with Iraqis, again, encouraging them to move as quickly as possible, to move in on ISIL and take the city," CENTCOM Spokesperson Col. Pat Ryder told news hounds in the Pentagon.

The Ramadi security official said that heavy bombing by Iraqi fighter jets were instrumental in destroying ISIS positions and their weapons and armory destroyed in the city.

Iraqi troops lost Ramadi in the country's west to ISIS bully boyz after two days of heavy fighting in May.

The Defense Ministry announced in July an operation for the recapture of the city by deploying to the region thousands of coppers and Shiite bully boyz to fight alongside the army.

The security official in Ramadi said that government forces need better communication with all parties involved in the war, including local tribal forces.

"We had better communicate with the people that are truly working side by side," he said. "A step forward is much better than a step backward."
More from Col. Ryder on Friday:
Ryder added however that the ultimate decision to launch military operations against ISIS in Ramadi lay with the Iraqis.

"This is an Iraqi-led operation," he said. "They will move at their pace. And so we are supportive of their plan, but it's certainly something that we're discussing with them,"

To strengthen Iraqi and Kurdish forces in their fight against ISIS in the north and west of the country, said Ryder, the US has trained six Iraqi brigades, including ten Peshmerga battalions, and 2,100 counterterrorism service personnel.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
4 Palestinian youths arrested for fatal Rosh Hashanah attack
[IsraelTimes] Two minors among suspects detained for rock-throwing assault that led to death of Alexander Levlovitz in Jerusalem two weeks ago
First arrest under the new rules, I think.
Four Paleostinian youths, including two minors, were enjugged
Drop the gat, Rocky, or you're a dead 'un!
on suspicion of having carried out a rock-throwing attack on a car in Jerusalem on the Jewish New Year two weeks ago which led to the death of its driver, Alexander Levlovitz. According to a statement Saturday night by the Shin Bet, the Israel Security Agency, the four are residents of the East Jerusalem neighborhood of Sur Baher. They were identified by the Shin Bet as Muhammad Salah Muhammad Abu Kaf, 18, Walid Fares Mustafa Atrash, 18, and Abed Muhammad Abed Rabo Dawiat, 17. The fourth suspect's identity was not revealed.

During their interrogation, according to the Shin Bet, the four admitted to setting out on the evening of Rosh Hashanah to attack Israeli cars.

Dawiat, according to the investigation, threw the stone that hit Levlovitz's car, causing him to lose control of his vehicle and crash into a pole. He died of his wounds the next morning. Two women who were in the car with Levlovitz, 64, were lightly maimed.

The Shin Bet said Dawiat told Sherlocks that he carried out the attack in the name of terror group Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason, and that the four threw stones at several Israeli cars before hitting Levlovitz's. The four then expeditiously departed at a goodly pace, meeting later to coordinate their version of events in case they were caught, according to the Shin Bet.

The incident -- amid a surge of rock-throwing attacks on the Temple Mount, across Jerusalem and in the West Bank -- led Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to call an emergency meeting at the end of the Jewish New Year in which a new series of measures against rock-throwers were announced.

The security cabinet on Thursday voted unanimously in favor of the new rules aimed at combating stone-throwing, including mandatory minimum sentences for those convicted of throwing rocks and Molotov cocktails, and an easing of the rules governing police use of live fire in rock-throwing incidents.

The cabinet agreed to back legislation to allow live fire in any case in which lives are endangered; use of .22 Ruger sniper rifles against rock throwers; a minimum four-year prison sentence for rock throwers, including imprisonment and fines for minors aged 14-18; the cancellation of welfare benefits for minors in prison; and an evaluation of fining parents of convicted children aged 12-14.

Following the vote, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu tweeted that "In Israel, these murderous objects won't be thrown unanswered and without prevention."

#6  I don't think it's the Creedmore. More one of these or possibly these.

One would suspect they're also not aiming for the center of mass.

Thai police lead key suspects to Bangkok bomb site for re-enactment
[Hurriyet Daily News] Police in Thailand led two suspects to the scene of last month's Bangkok kaboom for a re-enactment of their alleged crimes on Sept. 26, a day after police said one of the men was responsible for planting the bomb that killed 20 people.

Fourteen foreigners were among those killed in the attack, the worst incident of its kind in Thai history. It dealt a fresh blow to Thailand's important tourism industry, which had just begun to recover after political protests last year.

Police escorted the two men to the shrine and a nearby shopping mall in the Thai capital.

The men, handcuffed and wearing body armor, walked through the re-enactment, a standard Thai police procedure, while bystanders were kept at a distance.

National police front man Prawut Thawornsiri said on Sept. 25 one of the two men was the same yellow-shirted man seen in security footage placing a backpack at the shrine moments before the blast.

Prawut told news hounds at the shrine on Sept. 26 that the first locked away
Please don't kill me!
suspect, who has been referred to both as Bilal Mohammed and Adem Karadag, the name on a Turkish passport he holds, was responsible for the bombing.

"We have now identified him as the one who killed 20 people and injured many others," said Prawut.

Turkish authorities at the time of the men's arrest said his passport was fake.

Karadag, whose nationality remains unconfirmed, wore a yellow shirt on top of his prison uniform and sat on a bench at the shrine during the re-enactment - the same place the man seen in security footage left the backpack containing the bomb.

The second man arrested, Yusufu Mieraili, used a mobile phone to trigger the bomb, Prawut said without giving further details.

Mieraili, dressed in a dark blue shirt, went through his re-enactment near a shopping mall a stone's throw from the shrine, from where police say he detonated the bomb.

Authorities had earlier said it was unlikely that either of the two men detained over the Aug. 17 blast were the bomber in what has been an often contradictory police investigation.

Police had also said they believed Mieraili conspired in the attack but did not detonate the bomb.

Karadag's lawyer, who says his client's real name is Bilal Mohammed, said Karadag maintains he is innocent and had last visited him on Sept. 15.

"The appearance of the yellow shirt man [in CCTV footage] and Adem do not match. I do not believe Adem would confess," lawyer Chuchart Kanphai said.

Arrested Terrorist Atrash Confessed to Smuggling Weapons to Arsal, Joining ISIL
[ALMANAR.LB] The Lebanese Army Command on Tuesday issued a communique saying that the wanted terrorist Ibrahim Al-Atrash that was incarcerated

by the military due to affiliation to terrorist organizations, has confessed to the execution of many terrorist operations, including arms smuggling and joining a takfiri

group.

"The investigation revealed that Atrash started in 2011 trading in weapons and war munitions, as well as transporting them - along with other people - to Arsal from Syria and vice versa, in favor of a terrorist organization," the army statement said.

"Following his arrest by the Intelligence Directorate in 2012, and after he completed his jail sentence, Atrash resumed communication with terrorist organizations and swore allegiance to the "Jond Al-Haq" brigades," it added.

The army elaborated that Atrash then established a terrorist group to rig cars, with the help of Abu Jaafar the Qastalian (commander of Al-Qasatal deaders battalion) who coordinated with him buying cars, booby-trapping them, and sending them to Syria and Leb, including a GMC-type vehicle that was ready for detonation in Al-Bazaliah but was went kaboom! before time and killed Omar al-Atrash and Samer Al-Hujairi, and another Grand Cherokee-type vehicle that was ready for detonation in the southern suburbs but was caught by the army.

"However,

he completed booby-trapping the other cars, and handed them to other operatives and did not know their fate," the army said.

According to the statement, Atrash "confessed to his participation in the fighting with the 'Jond al-Haq' battalion under the leadership of Abu Malik Al-Talli, and after pledging allegiance to ISIL organization, he moved with his group to the Syrian city of Al-Raqqa, where he met ISIL leaders."

"After his return to Leb, he participated in fighting against the army in Arsal and in the attack on the army's Masyada center, and investigations are still ongoing with him to reveal his involvement in other terrorist cases," the statement concluded.

Syrian Army Continues Operations after Ghouta Advance
[ALMANAR.LB] Syrian army forces continued operations against holy warriors on Friday, killing more of them and destroying their positions after its advance in Damascus's Eastern Ghouta yesterday, where its units established full control over all hills overlooking it from the western side.

Army units targeted terrorists' positions and movements in Ein al-Beida and Jbata al-Khashab villages in the northern countryside of the southern Quneitra province, a military source told SANA on Friday.

Many bad boyz were potted and their weapons were destroyed in the area, which is considered one of the terrorist organizations' supply routes across the Zionist entity.

More bad boyz were potted and a heavy machine gun mounted on a vehicle was destroyed in Ufania village and the adjacent Sahi hill, according to the source.

Army units also killed a number of al-Nusra

front holy warriors in al-Hamidiyeh village, 7 km north of Quneitra city.

In the neighboring Daraa province, an army unit killed a number of holy warriors and destroyed their ammunition and arms in al-Sheikh Miskin in the northern countryside.

A number of vehicles, some of them equipped with heavy machinegun, were destroyed and many al-Nusra bad boyz were potted in army operations against their hideouts and gatherings in the vicinity of al-Sultan gas station on Daraa-Gharaz road.

The army also targeted terrorists' positions to the south of Syriatel telecommunication company's building in Daraa al-Balad neighborhood in the city of Daraa.

Army forces in Syria have flushed foreign-backed Death Eaters out of the routes linking the capital, Damascus, to the western city of Homs.

On Thursday, the Syrian troops established control over the hills overlooking the Eastern Ghouta region east of Damascus after eliminating the members of the so-called Jaish al-Islam
...Liwa al-Islam (Brigade of Islam) was established by Zahran Alloush, the son of Saudi-based religious scholar Abdullah Mohammed Alloush, after Syrian authorities released him from prison in mid-2011 where he had been serving time for his Salafist activism. The group claimed responsibility for carrying out the July 2012 Damascus bombing that killed Defense Minister Dawoud Rajiha, Deputy Defense Minister Asef Shawkat, and Assistant Vice President Hassan Turkmani. It was a driving force behind actions in the Damascus region. It cooperated and conducted joint operations with al-Nusra. terrorist group and destroying their weapons and ammunition.

The Death Eaters had cut off the supply routes by taking control of the top hills.

Army forces also carried out several operations in the city of Harasta, likewise located in the capital's suburbs.

Army Arrests 'Important' Suspect in North Lebanon Linked to Terrorist Mawlawi
[ALMANAR.LB] Lebanese Army intelligence tossed in the calaboose
Drop the heater, Studs, or you're hist'try!
an "important" suspect in north Leb allegedly linked to detained krazed killer Sheikh Khaled Hoblos and runaway Shadi al-Mawlawi, according to the state-run National News Agency.

Ahmad al-Kasha, apparently disguised in women's clothing at the time of his arrest Wednesday morning, was apprehended at a checkpoint in Madfoun, in north Leb's Batroun district, the NNA report said.

Security sources said that Kasha, a nationalized Lebanese citizen from Syria, is also known as "Abu Omar Kasha" and hails from the northern Lebanese city of Tripoli
...a confusing city, one end of which is located in Lebanon and the other end of which is the capital of Libya. Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn...
. Speaking to The Daily Star, a senior Army official confirmed the arrest, but refused to give further details.

Kasha allegedly took part in festivities against the Army in the city on several occasions and had close ties to both Hoblos and Mawlawi. Hoblos was arrested in April during a police operation in Tripoli. Notorious myrmidon Osama Mansour, who was wanted on terrorism charges, was killed in the same operation. Investigations into Hoblos uncovered myrmidon cells in north Leb that were set to be armed by the preacher before his arrest.

CENTCOM admits US-trained Syrian rebels surrendered ammunition to al-Nusra
[Hurriyet Daily News] United States military officials admitted late on Sept. 25 that a unit of Syrian rebels trained and equipped by the U.S.-led coalition likely surrendered their supplies to al-Nusra
...formally Jabhat an-Nusrah li-Ahli sh-Sham (Support Front for the People of the Levant), also known as al-Qaeda in the Levant. They aim to establish a pan-Arab caliphate. Not the same one as the Islamic State, though .. ...
Front, al-Qaeda's affiliate in the country.
Ohfergawdsake.
The announcement came after U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) on Sept. 23 assured journalists that "all Coalition-issued weapons and equipment are under the positive control of NSF," or the New Syrian Force, a paramilitary group sanctioned by the U.S.-led coalition.

That statement was issued in an effort to counter reports that NSF had handed over all their supplies to the al-Qaeda affiliate upon entering Syria, and in response to a post on a Nusra Front-linked Twitter account that purported to show the group in possession of coalition equipment.

CENTCOM said it had earlier concluded that no supplies had been lost after conducting "an analysis of the image depicted in the Tweet and determined the claim to be false."

But whether the images posted on Twitter are real or not, officials on Sept. 25 appeared to walk back their initial assessment, and reported that Nusra Front had in fact seized a sizable portion of its equipment, Vice News reported.

"Today, the NSF unit contacted Coalition representatives and informed us that on Sept. 21-22 they gave six pick-up trucks and a portion of their ammunition to a suspected al-Nusra Front intermediary, which equates to roughly 25 percent of their issued equipment," Col. Patrick Ryder, a front man for CENTCOM, said in a statement.

#3  The United States really has no comprehensive directed Strategic Policy concerning ISIS, The United States therefore has no apparent GOAL ( because it has no consistent POLICY).

It has no Policy because it has no PRINCIPLES. The US is REACTIVE ( that means it has lost the initiative to the Enemy ) because it has no Goals or Principles. It has neither of these qualities BECAUSE it has no WILL. ( also sometimes called "balls").

It has no balls because it has no Leadership. The Pentagon is playing whackamole and there is simply no one in Charge who is anything but a show me help me what to do ( please ) hack.
Obama is an incompetent. ( let's just be honest about it ). The United States elected an opportunistic suit who doesn't have a damn clue.

We HAVE no Strategy because we have no Goal. We have no Goal because we have no Principles. We have no Principles because we have no Leaders. We can NOT win without a Strategy backed by Will and Principles.

I have a good Idea...let's all DIE for nothing and believe in gibbering Hope and Change.
An entire Nation of flatulent effete direction-less five star suckers.

Actually the administration does have a goal, and a policy. They, however, don't involve fighting the Islamic State.
