Afghanistan
Taliban shadow governor killed in Kunduz with senior Pakistani militant
[Khaama (Afghanistan)] Taliban group's shadow governor for northern Kunduz province was killed in an Arclight airstrike in northern Kunduz province of Afghanistan, the Afghan intelligence said.

The National Directorate of Security
...the Afghan national intel agency...
(NDS) said the Arclight airstrike was coordinated by the intelligence operatives while the Lions of Islam were looking to infiltrate the airport in Kunduz city.

NDS front man Haseeb Sediqi said Maulavi Salam was killed along with his 15 fighters and a member of Lashkar-e-Taiba
...the Army of the Pure, an Ahl-e-Hadith terror organization founded by Hafiz Saeed. LeT masquerades behind the Jamaat-ud-Dawa facade within Pakistain and periodically blows things up and kills people in India. province of Pakistain.

He said the Arclight airstrike was carried out in the vicinity of the airport around 9:00 pm local time.

According to Sediqi the death of Maulavi Salam is a major to the Taliban group as he was actively coordinating the attack in Kunduz city.

Heavy festivities were reported near the airport in Kunduz city earlier tonight after the Talibs launched an attack to infiltrate inside the airport.

The control of the airport is with the Afghan cops despite the city of Kunduz was seized by the Talibs last night following heavy festivities.

U.S. military carries out airstrikes on Kunduz after Taliban attack
[NATION.PK] The U.S. military carried out an Arclight airstrike Tuesday on the key northern Afghan city of Kunduz, a day after Taliban turbans drove out security forces in a potential major blow to the Western-backed government.

Meanwhile,
...back at the argument, Jane reached into her purse for her .38...
Sarwar Hussaini, a provincial police front man, told the News Agency that Dare Not be Named that Afghan forces have launched a multi-pronged operation around the city seeking to retake it.

The U.S. air attack was made "in order to eliminate a threat to the force," according to U.S. Army Col. Brian Tribus, a front man for the U.S. and NATO
...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. It's headquartered in Belgium. That sez it all....
missions in Afghanistan.

The U.S. military still has 9,800 troops in Afghanistan, but it was unclear Monday whether any American personnel were stationed near the fighting in Kunduz, about 150 miles north of Kabul
...the capital of Afghanistan. Home to continuous fighting from 1992 to 1996 between the forces of would-be strongman and Pak ISI/Jamaat-e-Islami sock puppet Gulbuddin Hekmayar and the Northern Alliance, a period which won Hek the title Most Evil Man in the World and didn't do much for the reputations of the Northern Alliance guys either....
.

The potential fall of Kunduz would be a huge setback for Aghan President Ashraf Ghani
...former chancellor of Kabul University, now president of Afghanistan. Before returning to Afghanistan in 2002 he was a scholar of political science and anthropology. He worked at the World Bank working on international development assistance. As Finance Minister of Afghanistan between July 2002 and December 2004, he led Afghanistan's attempted economic recovery until the Karzais stole all the money. ..
as he marks his first year in office.

Kunduz would give Taliban turbans a critical base of operations beyond their traditional strongholds in Afghanistan's south. Afghan government leaders and the U.S.-led coalition here view the battle for Kunduz as a key test of the Afghan cops in their continuing fight with the Taliban

The Taliban assault began shortly before dawn Monday when hundreds of Taliban fighters advanced into the city from four directions.

Although Afghan security units were backed by helicopter gunships, the Taliban took over a 200-bed hospital and overran the local prison, freeing hundreds of prisoners. From there, they seized the office of the governor, who was not in the city at the time.

The myrmidon group posted triumphant pictures to Twitter showing Taliban fighters hoisting their white-and-black flag throughout the city.

Kunduz, a hub for the country's once relatively stable grain-growing region, would hand the Taliban one of the linchpins of Afghanistan's economy. It also was the last Taliban stronghold in northern Afghanistan in November 2001, when the group's grip on the country collapsed in the face of opposition fighters and U.S. Arclight airstrikes.

If Taliban fighters succeed in keeping control of Kunduz, it would be the first time in 14 years that they have seized and held a city.

Afghan forces fight to retake Kunduz from Taliban
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Afghan forces backed by U.S. air support battled Taliban fighters for control of the northern city of Kunduz on Tuesday, after the bully boyz seized a bustling provincial capital for the first time since their ouster 14 years ago.

The sudden fall of Kunduz on Monday was a major setback for the government of President Ashraf Ghani
...former chancellor of Kabul University, now president of Afghanistan. Before returning to Afghanistan in 2002 he was a scholar of political science and anthropology. He worked at the World Bank working on international development assistance. , which marked its first year in power on Tuesday, and raised questions over how ready Afghan forces were to tackle the Islamist insurgency alone.

Many members from Houthi and Saleh's militias were killed and injured, according to Yemeni and coalition's sources.

President Abdrabbu Mansour Hadi on Sunday urged Houthi militias to lay down their arms and resume dialogue to end Yemen's conflict, as he left for the U.N. General Assembly.

Europe
Asylum Seeker Arrested in Denmark after Police Stabbing
While half a million fiercely determined migrants pour into northern Europe to get their bit of the promised land, Danish police manage to arrest one murderous miscreant who clearly demonstrated his determination not to be sent away.
[AnNahar] Danish police on Tuesday enjugged
Maw! They're comin' to get me, Maw!
a Paleostinian man suspected of stabbing a policeman at the country's largest reception center for asylum seekers, which had sparked a manhunt in the area.

The officer was critically maimed after being stabbed three times in the stomach, but after surgery his condition was stable.

"The case is being investigated as an attempted homicide," local police said in a statement.

The suspect was a stateless Paleostinian man born in 1990 who was about to be deported from the country. It is unclear how long he has spent in Denmark, or where the authorities planned to deport him to.

Earlier in the day a large area had been cordoned off around the former military barracks at Center Sandholm, Denmark's largest facility for asylum seekers, which currently houses around 600 people.

The center, which lies around 20 kilometers (12 miles) northwest of Copenhagen, receives newly-arrived asylum seekers as well as those who have had their applications rejected and are due to leave the country.

Since Europe's refugee crisis began spilling into Denmark on September 6, at least 17,700 migrants have entered the country, according to police figures, but most have continued to neighboring Sweden which has a more generous asylum policy.

Over the past three weeks, around 100 people have been applying for asylum each day, the Danish Immigration Service said.

...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire....
President Tayyip Erdogan said the Turkish military had killed more than 30 Kurdish forces of Evil on Friday in a cross-border operation he described as part of the rebels' "last struggle".

Erdogan, addressing village leaders at the presidential palace on Tuesday, did not say where the targets were; but the military has been bombarding Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) positions in the mountains of northern Iraq as well as the mainly Kurdish southeast of Turkey following the breakdown of a ceasefire in July.

"More than 30 faceless myrmidons have been killed," Erdogan said, adding that security forces were continuing with operations inside and outside of the country. "These will continue for now but you should know that this is their last struggle."

The most intense fighting since the 1990s has engulfed the mainly Kurdish southeast and virtually scotched a grinding of the peace processor Erdogan began three years ago.

More than a hundred security personnel and hundreds of forces of Evil have been killed since the ceasefire broke down.

The cross-border operations on PKK have so far been "very effective", Erdogan said, although he did not elaborate, except to say that more than 2,000 forces of Evil had been killed.

Two held for firebomb attack on settlement gas station
[IsraelTimes] Group connected with the Popular Front for the Liberation of Paleostine admitted to burning down gas station, Shin Bet says

Two West Bank Paleostinians were nabbed

over a July Molotov cocktailing of a gas station inside an Israeli settlement, Israel's Shin Bet security agency said Tuesday.

The Shin Bet said the two men, from the village of Awarta, admitted to setting fire to the gas station in Eli in the central West Bank August 14, and to vandalizing nearby buildings, in Dire Revenge over the fatal Molotov cocktailing of a Paleostinian family two weeks earlier.

The perpetrators also sprayed the symbol of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Paleostine at the site.

The arrests were made in the West bank village of Awarta south of Nablus in a joint operation of the Shin Bet, the army and the police, according to an official statement. The suspects were found as a result of forensic evidence from the scene and eyewitness testimony of the attack.

Under interrogation, Ahmed Abdat, 23, and Majdi Kowarik, 22, confessed to carrying out the attack, according to the Shin bet. Kowarik admitted to planing the attack, while Abdat drove the vehicle and threw a fire bomb at the gas station.

The Shin Bet described the two as a "terror cell."

They claimed to have executed the attack as Dire Revenge for the Duma village Molotov cocktailing, which left three Paleostinians dead and was likely perpetrated by Jewish terrorists.

The July 31 attack in the northern West Bank village of Duma killed 18-month-old Ali Dawabsha. His father Saad and mother Riham succumbed to severe burns the following week and in early September, respectively. Four-year-old Ahmed was the sole surviving member of the family.

No arrests have yet been made in that attack, despite a crackdown on Jewish Lion of Islam groups, though Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon has indicated Israeli authorities know what group is behind the attack.

Zionist Forces Nab 7 Palestinians over al-Aqsa Clashes
[ALMANAR.LB] Israeli occupation forces have nabbed seven Paleostinians on charges of involvement in recent tensions at al-Aqsa Mosque compound in East al-Quds.

The abductions were made on Tuesday with Israeli officials claiming that the captives were involved in Monday's festivities when Paleostinians, they alleged, gathered inside a mosque at the site and "threw Molotov cocktails and rocks at Israeli forces outside."

The development comes amid a flare-up of tensions in and around the compound in recent weeks where Israeli forces have been violating Al-Aqsa by storming into it and causing damages and injuries to Paleostinian worshipers stationed there.

On Monday, skirmishes broke out in the holy site after the deployment of Israeli soldiers to the area for the Jewish Sukkot holiday.

Also on Sunday, festivities erupted across the compound after Israeli police stormed the holy site and fired rubber-coated steel bullets and stun grenades at Paleostinian protesters.

Meanwhile,
...back at the abandoned silver mine, the water was up to Jack's neck and still rising. And then he smelled the smoke...
more festivities were reported on Tuesday between Zionist forces and Paleostinian demonstrators protesting cross the occupied West Bank in support of the al-Aqsa Mosque.

According to Paleostinian media reports, twelve protesters sustained injuries as Israeli forces attacked a rally near Ramallah.

Israeli forces used tear gas and water cannon, as well as live fire, and rubber-coated steel bullets to disperse the protesters who were angry at Israel's restrictions on prayers in the holy site.

Dozens of youths also suffered tear gas inhalation in the city of Bethlehem as Israeli forces attacked a protest rally near Aida refugee camp.

Furthermore, in the nearby village of Tuqu, a number of schoolchildren inhaled tear gas after Israelis shot up a pro-Aqsa demonstration.

Similar skirmishes were also reported in the city of Tulkarem where Israeli forces attacked demonstrators marching to voice solidarity with the al-Aqsa Mosque.

seven Paleostinians on Tuesday over suspected involvement in violence at Jerusalem's Temple Mount the previous day.

Spokeswoman Luba Samri said the suspects were connected to Monday's riots in which Paleostinians barricaded themselves inside the al-Aqsa Mosque and then threw Molotov cocktails and rocks at officers outside during a major Jewish holiday.

Monday's unrest was the second straight day of violence at the Al-Aqsa mosque, where Paleostinians have been stockpiling rocks and other projectiles to attack Israeli troops, according to police.

It comes during the weeklong Jewish festival of Sukkot that celebrates the fall harvest and commemorates the wandering of the ancient Israelites through the desert following their exodus from Egypt. In ancient times, Jews made pilgrimages to Jerusalem on Sukkot, and many Jews are expected to visit the city throughout the holiday period.

The site remained quiet Tuesday but some violent protests broke out elsewhere. In the West Bank city of Ramallah, about 200 protesters affiliated with Paleostinian Authority President the ineffectual Mahmoud Abbas

' Fatah party marched toward an Israeli checkpoint where they attacked troops with rocks. The Israeli forces dispersed the protest with tear gas and rubber bullets, injuring five lightly.

Clashes between troops and Paleostinians took place in Bethlehem as well, and in Hebron, a Japanese tourist was injured after being hit by a rock thrown by a Paleostinian.

Another tourist was lightly injured when a taxi he was riding in was hit by a rock in East Jerusalem.

A total of 20 people, Jews and Arabs, were locked away

across the city amid ongoing violence Tuesday, Haaretz reported. A Jewish teen was arrested after spraying tear gas at a Paleostinian woman who shouted "Allah Akbar" in the Moslem Quarter of the Old City, the paper reported.

The Temple Mount compound in Jerusalem's Old City is a frequent flashpoint and its fate is a core issue at the heart of the Israeli-Paleostinian conflict.

Thirty pro-Assad forces killed in Nusra-led attack in Homs
[ARA] Al-Qaeda's Syrian affiliate Nusra Front launched an offensive on headquarters of the regime army forces in the central province of Homs, military sources reported on Tuesday.

Rebels of Nusra Front attacked regime headquarters in several villages in the northern countryside of Homs, using heavy artillery and mortars.

"Our fighters hit strongholds of pro-Assad forces with dozens of shells and missiles on Tuesday, killing more than thirty forces," Nusra front man in Homs Hassan Abbara told ARA News on the phone.

Nusra hard boyz bombed regime headquarters in the villages of Ghadibiyah and Khifes north of Homs.

Abbara said the operations come as a response to the regime Arclight Arclight airstrikes on residential areas in the rebel-held neighborhoods in Homs.

"Pro-Assad forces have committed dozens of massacres against innocent civilians in Homs. We want to prove to this tyrannical regime that those peaceful civilians are not alone," the Nusra front man said.

In the meantime, festivities renewed between regime forces and hard boyz of the Islamic State

Pro-Assad forces are in control of the city of Homs, except the Waer district which is held by the rebel fighters. Major parts of the northern countryside are also under the rebels' control, while most of the eastern countryside is held by ISIS hard boys.
