FBI's Clinton probe expands to public corruption track
[FOXNEWS] The FBI investigation into Hillary Clinton
... sometimes described as The Liberatress of Libya and at other times as Mrs. Bill, never as Another Edward Everett ...
's use of private email as secretary of state has expanded to look at whether the possible "intersection" of Clinton Foundation work and State Department business may have violated public corruption laws, three intelligence sources not authorized to speak on the record told Fox News.

This track is in addition to the focus on classified material found on Clinton's personal server.

"The agents are investigating the possible intersection of Clinton Foundation donations, the dispensation of State Department contracts and whether regular processes were followed," one source said.

The development follows press reports over the past year about the potential overlap of State Department and Clinton Foundation work, and questions over whether donors benefited from their contacts inside the administration.

The Clinton Foundation is a public charity, known as a 501(c)(3). It had grants and contributions in excess of $144 million in 2013, the most current available data.

Inside the FBI, pressure is growing to pursue the case.

One intelligence source told Fox News that FBI agents would be "screaming" if a prosecution is not pursued because "many previous public corruption cases have been made and successfully prosecuted with much less evidence than what is emerging in this investigation."

#1  I've read that the FBI director is a straight shooter. There seems to be overwhelming evidence of wrongdoing by Hillary with respect to her email server. If the same situation exists on the Clinton Foundation then it is going to be hard to restrain the Bureau. AG Lynch will be in a very tough spot. And so will sweet Hilary.

#2  Grifting is risky at the level you have decided to ascend.

I saw what you had already. So shady.

But what I want to get right is Benghazi.
This needs to be a criminal probe with a special prosecutor at this point.

To excuse this or suggest otherwise will bring more pain.

#3  I've read that the FBI director is a straight shooter.

We may soon find out if this is true or not. Director Comey is in a rather tough spot. It is my understanding that there is already some some 'smoke in the teepee' at the higher levels at FBI main. As the evidence of wrongdoing continues to mount, it will be very interesting to see what transpires.

As the momentum for a non-establishment candidate continues and democratic defeat appears eminent, the Beest may decide to forgo another defeat scenario and opt out using the medical card.

If a formal indictment or Special Prosecutor surfaces, she may also play the medical card and excuse herself from the electoral process. I suspect this scenario is unlikely, so much so that Comey could even be replaced if it is threatened. In the end, Champ will come to the Beest's rescue. They are after all, birds of a feather.

Both however, are winning scenarios as far as I am concerned.

#4  Old news, already.

By the numbers.
1. That a brazen lie
2. It's a brazen lie and what difference would it make.
3. Teddy Roosevelt killed mass quantities
4. He is as wanted on 12 systems
5. Bushitler
6. That's old news.
7. America is ready to Move On

#5  Resignation of the current FBI director in 5..4..3? Or, there is another dem candidate---one favored over Hillary by the current admin---to be unveiled?

#6  Seems to me that any expansion of the investigation is merely a way to delay and dither.

Stretch it all out past the primaries and election, again.

It's a tried and true tactic by the criminals in politics.

But then I'm cynical.

#7  If 0bean pardoned her after she was indicted and before she was elected, I think/hope that would be the end of her and everyone associated with her.

It seems that if a prosecution is on its way, that it would come shortly before the general election. I don't see how the Donks could recover.

#9  If the investigation threatens to lead back to the White House and there is no way to stop it then Champ may have no choice but to pardon her. If I was the FBI director I'd be watching my back pretty damn carefully but if anything happens to him, be it resignation or ouster or accident, that's gonna look bad too. Even ABC might have to mention it.

#10  Seems to me you would have to do something before the primaries, after they start your hands are tied until she loses the primaries. If she wins I can't see anything going forward.

Lynch: We'll Position DOJ to Do Champ's Work '€˜Long After' We're Gone
A bold 'in your face' woefully unnecessary admission. But thank you for your partisan utterance and confirmation.

#1  I'd wager that just about wraps it up as far as a Special Prosecutor or Clinton indictment goes, at least until well after the election.

#3  Has anyone considered that O will pardon Clinton as soon as the FBI indicts her?
He'll be passing out pardons like hotcakes 01/2017.

#4  The key here is a single, or a very specific set of charges with additional post-election 'kicker charges' to be added as necessary. If the additional charges implicate the regime, so much the better.
Posted by: Besoeker || 01/12/2016 8:01 Comments || Top||

#5  So what she is saying is that the next administration will have to do some very serious reorganizing.
Posted by: CrazyFool || 01/12/2016 10:07 Comments || Top||

#6  The best way to deal with a bureaucracy packed with partisans is a reduction in force. RIFS can be used to circumvent even civil service rules. It would help if Congress would grow a pair and reform the civil service rules to make firing incompetent officials easier.

#7  New president must clean house. Bush left many holdovers and paid for it. No more Mr. Nice guy. The left only work for themselves.

#8  Two words: Civil Service
Posted by: g(r)omgoru || 01/12/2016 11:27 Comments || Top||

#9  grom. Solution is for Congress to defund DoJ and layoff all employees. Then create a Dept of Actual Justice and hire new staff.
Posted by: Enver Lover of the Giants1228 || 01/12/2016 12:17 Comments || Top||

#10  No one says that the offices have to be in the Beltway. Fargo ND could host some, Caribou Maine, Farmington NM, sort of come to mind. Wonder if the civil servants want to move to their new location?
Posted by: Procopius2k || 01/12/2016 13:14 Comments || Top||

#11  #9 & #10 As long as it still civil service it'll be taken over by "elites".
Posted by: g(r)omgoru || 01/12/2016 13:32 Comments || Top||

#12  Nah, the elites only thrive in major urban areas. It's their natural habitat. Cut out the habitat and they decline in numbers seeking other prey/venues to suck the life out of.
Posted by: Procopius2k || 01/12/2016 14:15 Comments || Top||

#13  As long as it's still a bureaucracy, it is subject to the Iron Laws of Bureaucracy, mentioned on the 'Burg earlier. Abolition of an entire portion of the Bureaucracy and laws forbidding the hiring of those laid off may be the only solution.

Carville's wife: When the Beest Loses Iowa and NH, Biden or Warren Will Jump In
[Breitbart] Tuesday on Newsmax TV's "The Steve Malzberg Show," Republican political consultant Mary Matalin said Hillary Clinton's support comes from the support for her husband, former President Bill Clinton. Thus if she loses the first primaries in Iowa and New Hampshire, Matalin predicted it was very likely someone like Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA)15% or Vice President Joe Biden will jump in the race.

Matalin said, "Losing Iowa and New Hampshire is going to be the pivotal moment to see the prowess of her campaign and the depth of her support among Democratic regulars."

She continued, "She doesn't have a depth of following Her following is derivative of her husband. She doesn't have that big loyal faction in the Democratic Party. She may have some loyal followers -- some feminist and such but she is just there because she is the the wife of."

"I'm saying when she loses those two states it makes others--however the rules are--rules are made to be broken--jump in the race. Whether it's an Elizabeth Warren or a Joe Biden or Jim Webb is going to run an independent candidacy."

Host Malzberg asked, "You don't think they will coalesces behind Sanders? You think they will say uh-oh and a Biden or a Warren or a Kerry will get in?"

#1  Can anyone really jump in the race at this late date and end up on the ballots? Legally? I thought that last chance had passed and it would be write-in candidates at this point.
Posted by: rjschwarz || 01/12/2016 10:13 Comments || Top||

#2  Webb will not be allowed to run. After all, he is a genuine Marine Viet Nam war hero. Democrats find that "icky". He would be as welcome as a skunk at a lawn party.
Posted by: Sgt. D.T. || 01/12/2016 13:38 Comments || Top||

#3  Webb's also as stable as a rowboat full of Black Labs.

I'm figuring it'll be a food-fight on the Left as to whether they want Warren or Sanders.

#4  Now, now, lets NOT fergit current SecState JOHN KERRY - IMO even iff he's not chosen to be VPOTUS for November he can still expect a major or powerful Cabinent position in any Dem Admin, + still run in 2020 iff Anti-America Amerika still survives.

Also, on the GOP side I'm personally not counting BOBBIE JINDAL out until whomevar! is the Bammer's successor is formally sworn in.
