Helmand child bomber was assigned by his father for insurgency
[Khaama (Afghanistan)] A teenage child jacket wallah, who had surrendered to the security forces in southern Helmand
...an Afghan province populated mostly by Pashtuns, adjacent to Injun country in Pak Balochistan...
province, was assigned by his own father for insurgency, local officials said.
"But Dad! I don't wanna blow myself up!"
"If you don't I'm gonna take a belt to youse and lock youse in da woodshed!"
"Ummm... Lemme think here..."

The provincial government office issued a statement following the detention of the child suicide bomber, saying the child was initially used to gather information regarding the check posts in Helmand.

The statement further added that the 12-year-old Nabiullah is originally hailing from Shajoin district of Zabul who assigned by his own Taliban father to participate in insurgency activities.

According to the local officials, Nabiullah was eventually tasked to conduct more insurgency besides gathering information and was later assigned to conduct suicide kaboom on Ishaqzoi check post.

The child has confessed that he was forcefully taken by his father to join the Taliban group.

The local officials are saying that efforts are underway to safely return the child to his mother.

Uhuru urged to withdraw KDF soldiers from Somalia
President Uhuru Kenyatta has been urged to withdraw Kenyan soldiers from Somalia, following a recent Al-Shabaab attack on a KDF camp that left 21 personnel dead.

Speaking during the burial of Rajab Baya Kazungu — one of the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) soldiers who was killed at Kulbiyow, Somalia — on Saturday at his Kinarani home in Kilifi County, mourners said it was time for the soldiers to protect the country’s borders from within.

Among those who attended the burial was Kaloleni MP Gunga Mwinga, area ward representative Pascal Thuva and a member of the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) Morris Dzoro.

A sombre mood engulfed the village as KDF soldiers carried the casket bearing the remains of Mr Kazungu around 3pm, bringing to and end the life of the soldier who married on December 3 before being deployed to Somalia. He was among four soldiers from the county who were killed in line of duty in Somalia.

Mr Gunga joined locals and other leaders who spoke in calling for the withdrawal of Kenyan soldiers from Somalia. “The President recently withdrew all the troops in Sudan. We would like to see the same happening now because we are not at war with Somalia,” he said.

Area MCA said it was saddening to see many soldiers being killed in a foreign land yet Mr Kenyatta, the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, seemingly paying little attention.

“We want our soldiers home and then the President can send a peace committee to Somalia,” said Mr Thuva.

“The deaths of our young soldiers in war front is saddening…let us maintain peace as the concerned departments address the concerns,” said Mr Dzoro.

On Thursday, Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi visited some of the affected families where in his condolences also called for immediate withdrawal of Kenyan soldiers from Somalia.

“Less than a year ago, Al-Shabaab militants launched an attack on a Kenyan-run AMISOM army base in the town of El Adde and killed many of our soldiers. Today, we meet here to mourn the deaths of our soldiers who perished in yet another terrorist attack from the same terrorist group. This must stop and it is only through withdrawing our soldiers from Somalia,” said Mr Kingi.

Rocket artillery attack on Riyadh a message
Coulda just picked up a phone....
The Yemeni forces spokesman General Sharaf Loqman said that launching a ballistic rocket onto the Saudi military base in west of the capital of Riyadh is included at no extra charge in the context of facing the strategy identified by Ansarullah leader Sayyed Abdel Malik Al-Houthi.

General Loqman added that the rocketry operation is a message sent to the Saudi leadership, vowing to reveal more military surprises in face of the US-backed war.

In a related context, the Yemeni military media broadcast a footage which shows the ballistic rocket (Burkan 2) being launched onto Riyadh.

Yemen Raid Had Secret Target: Al Qaeda Leader Qassim Al-Rimi
[NBCNEWS] The Navy SEAL raid in Yemen
...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of. Except for a tiny handfull of Jews everthing there is very Islamic...
last week had a secret objective -- the head of al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula
...the latest incarnation of various Qaeda and Qaeda-allied groups, including the now-defunct Aden-Abyan Islamic Army that boomed the USS Cole in 2000...
, who survived and is now taunting President Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States...
in an audio message.

Military and intelligence officials told NBC News the goal of the massive operation was to capture or kill Qassim al-Rimi, considered the third most dangerous terrorist in the world and a master recruiter.

But while one SEAL, 14 al Qaeda gunnies and civilians including an 8-year-old girl were killed during a firefight, al-Rimi is still alive and in Yemen, multiple military officials said.

On Sunday, al-Rimi -- who landed on the U.S. most-wanted terrorist list after taking over al Qaeda's Yemen affiliate in 2015 -- released an audio recording that military sources said is authentic.

"The fool of the White House got slapped at the beginning of his road in your lands," he said in an apparent reference to the Jan. 29 raid.

It's not clear if al-Rimi was at the al Qaeda camp but escaped when SEAL Team 6 and Emirati commandos descended, if he happened to be elsewhere, or even if he was tipped off.

The White House -- which had declared the raid "a successful operation by all standards" -- had no comment Monday on his escape from death. The Pentagon also declined to comment.

Juan Zarate, a national security adviser in the Bush administration and an NBC News analyst, said that even though the raid did not neutralize al-Rimi, it could still yield smaller victories.

"Certainly if the goal is to capture the leader of Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, that didn't happen. It wasn't successful in that regard," he said.

"On the other hand, a number of al Qaeda leaders were killed, and al Qaeda was disrupted, at least in terms of that cell. They understand that the U.S. is willing to lean forward and perhaps they're being deterred or disrupted in their activities.

"And we may have collected incredibly valuable intelligence that will lead to further disruptions and further counterterrorism activities down the road."

Anger simmers in Greek colonist migrant camp over living conditions
A group of ungrateful Afghan refugees in Greece protested against their living conditions on Monday by chanting "Liar!" as they tried to block a minister from entering the former Athens airport terminal where they have been stranded for months.
Back to Pashtunistan for yez!
Children stuck inside the compound climbed up a metal gate while dozens of protesters pushed and shoved one another as they shouted "Go, Go!" at Migration Minister Yannis Mouzalas. One man handed him a crying child as he reached the chained gate.

About 1,600 refugees and migrants live at Hellenikon, a former airport complex that also houses abandoned venues used in the 2004 Olympic Games. Of those, 600 live in the old arrivals terminal, sharing tents in unsanitary conditions.

"We have a bad situation in this camp. It's like one year in jail," said an Afghan man who identified himself as Massoud.

Human rights groups, including Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch, have criticized conditions in Greece's makeshift and formal camps, describing them as deplorable and unfit for humans.

"The situation in Greece ... is still very concerning to us," said Monica Costa of Amnesty International, who is on a fact-finding mission at Greek camps this week.
Did Monica bring a check? No? Then she's useless...
"There are still thousands of people languishing in camps that are not prepared for long-term stay," she said.

Greece has long said it plans to clear out Hellenikon - which housed up to 3,000 refugees and migrants in scorching temperatures last summer - after agreeing to lease it to private investors under its bailout program.

"Hellenikon must be cleared out," Mouzalas reiterated on Monday.

The protesters were demanding better quality food, better sanitation facilities and hot water.

"I completely understand their pain and hardship. We are trying to ease it as much as we can," Mouzalas said.

About 60,000 refugees and migrants have been in Greece for nearly a year after border shutdowns throughout the Balkans halted the onward journey many planned to take to central and western Europe.

Costa said Amnesty researchers had observed "psychological deterioration, a lot of stress," in the camps, exacerbated by lengthy asylum procedures and uncertainty over the future.

Greek authorities have yet to determine the cause of death of three migrants who died within a week in one camp on the island of Lesbos this month.

"Since the closure of the Balkan route, this humanitarian crisis unfolded, and we have already said that this crisis was completely avoidable," Costa said.

Republican Lawmakers Yet to Deliver Early Wins for Trump

When the 115th Congress arrived Jan. 3, the majority had an ambitious agenda. With Republicans in control of the House and Senate, and soon the White House, it was the first time in 10 years they could advance their policy agenda unobstructed by Democrats.

Yet a month later, the GOP-led Congress has produced just three bills for President Donald Trump to sign: a waiver allowing retired Marine Gen. James Mattis to serve as defense secretary, a joint resolution repealing the Obama administration’s stream protection rule, and another resolution reversing a Securities and Exchange Commission rule pertaining to energy companies.

Republicans have delayed action on campaign promises such as repealing Obamacare and defunding Planned Parenthood.

In the Senate, Republicans are struggling to overcome Democrat delays in confirming Trump’s Cabinet nominees.

...

In 2009, Obama signed into law three significant bills passed by the Democrat-led Congress. They included the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, a $787 billion economic stimulus package; the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, which proponents said would end pay discrimination against women; and the Children's Health Insurance Program Reauthorization Act, which provided states with new funding and programming for children's health care coverage through Medicaid.

Looking beyond the handful of emotional personal stories that are gaining the media’s sympathy, there is a more predictable political power dynamic at play. New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman, who has carried out a political vendetta against Trump, led 15 other state attorneys general in a joint statement condemning what they called an "unconstitutional, un-American and unlawful executive order." The hour-long hearing, conducted by telephone among three West coast judges at 6 p.m. ET, will determine the immediate fate of the nationwide temporary restraining order against Trump's travel ban.

Trump has only been in office for 17 days, but his Justice Department is already embroiled in a high-stakes legal battle that could affect hundreds of thousands of people and the direction of his presidency.

Attorneys general for Washington and Minnesota, which challenged the executive order, say that the temporary restraining order should remain in place because the President had "unleashed chaos" by signing the order.

Trump, who rode a wave of populist anger into the White House, now has to wait for the Ninth Circuit panel. The the Socialist paradise of San Francisco

Nearly two-thirds of US Navy’s strike fighters can’t fly
The U.S. Navy’s F/A-18 Hornet and Super Hornet strike fighters are the tip of the spear, embodying most of the fierce striking power of the aircraft carrier strike group. But nearly two-thirds of the fleet’s strike fighters can’t fly — grounded because they’re either undergoing maintenance or simply waiting for parts or their turn in line on the aviation depot backlog.

Overall, more than half the Navy’s aircraft are grounded, most because there isn’t enough money to fix them.

Additionally, there isn’t enough money to fix the fleet’s ships, and the backlog of ships needing work continues to grow. Overhauls — “availabilities” in Navy parlance — are being canceled or deferred, and when ships do come in they need longer to refit. Every carrier overall for at least three years has run long, and some submarines are out of service for prolonged periods, as much as four years or more. One submarine, the Boise, has lost its diving certification and can’t operate pending shipyard work.

India-Pakistan
A lid on Lashkar, Jaish takes jihadi centrestage in Pakistan
[Indian Express] The crowd had gathered for prayer on the last Friday in January at the Jamia Masjid Usmania -- it is one of three in the village of Gumtala in Pakistain Punjab
1.) Little Orphan Annie's bodyguard
2.) A province of Pakistain ruled by one of the Sharif brothers
3.) A province of India. It is majority (60 percent) Sikh and Hindoo (37 percent), which means it has relatively few Moslem riots....

-- in memory of a man whose only obituary records just a single name, Tahir, killed somewhere in India and buried in a grave with no headstone. "Islam is a world power and cannot be destroyed," the holy man who led the congregation said, "whoever tries to destroy it will be destroyed himself. He went on: "Jihad is the most important obligation of our faith."

For the past three months, that man -- "General of the Jaish-e-Muhammad, Mufti General of Jaish-e-Mohammad

The Jaish is proscribed in Pakistain, and its chief Masood Azhar Alvi, Asghar’s elder brother, has been detained in an Islamabad house, after Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif

conceded it carried out last year’s terrorist attack at the Pathankot airbase. But on ground, the group is operating with growing impunity.

In tehsil Yazman of Bahawalpur, another report records, the Jaish ideologue Abdul Rasheed delivered a Friday sermon, where he introduced the organization to the 400-strong congregation. The holy man spoke, it says, of the "painful story of the sufferings of the Moslem nation, and called on the people to join jihad to protect the people of the faith". "The lecture had a strange impact on the people," the report goes on, "and many promised to give active support to jihad."

Is Pakistan Finally Cracking Down on Lashkar-e-Taiba?
I doubt it. They do this periodically, then quietly withdraw the order.
[THEDIPLOMAT] The alleged criminal mastermind behind 2008 Mumbai terrorist attacks, Hafiz Muhammad Saeed
...who would be wearing a canvas jacket with very long sleeves anyplace but Pakistain...
, was sent to his room by Pakistain on January 30, 2017. Then, just two days later, his name also appeared on the Exit Control list, restraining him from leaving the state. Four other JuD leaders and 38 associates linked with Jamaat-ud-Dawa

Despite the fact that it is banned, always an interesting concept in Pakistain, the organization remains an blatant tool and perhaps an arm of the ISI...
(LeT) were also detained under Section 11-EEE of Pakistain’s Anti-Terrorism Act 1977.

Saeed is believed to be the founder of terrorist outfit LeT but has repeatedly denied allegations that his charity (JuD) is merely a cover for the banned myrmidon outfit LeT, despite the United Nations
...an idea whose time has gone...
stressing otherwise.

The Mumbai attacks shook the Indian nation to its core and claimed 164 lives. It has since become another sore spot, adding to the list of outstanding unresolved issues between the two hostile neighbors. One major outstanding question was India’s demand for Pakistain to crack down on Hafiz Muhammad Saeed and LeT, the group behind the attacks.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
In historic first, Israel legalizes West Bank outposts with sweeping new legislation
[IsraelTimes] Controversial law recognizing building on private Paleostinian land passes final Knesset votes by 60 to 52, despite warnings it could land Israel in international court.

"The chance that it will be struck down by the Supreme Court is 100 percent," Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman said last week.
Following months of coalition wrangling, damning criticism from internal and international opposition, and bleak warnings from legal experts, Israel on Monday legalized all West Bank outposts with sweeping legislation that aims to prevent future demolitions of settler homes built on private Paleostinian land.

In a late-night session, the Knesset passed the final readings of the controversial so-called Regulation Bill, which paves the way for Israel to recognize some 4,000 illegally built settler homes.

#1  Bad move, Kelso with D-8s.

#2  Honestly, I have deep reservations about this because it appears to be an Israeli version of the Kelo case allowing government entities to seize private land using eminent domain, only to turn it over to other private entities under the guise of "increasing tax revenues".

On the other hand, the West Bank was formerly part of Jordan, technically a Kingdom where private property "rights" are subject to the whim of the monarch: I recall a time where Jews attempted the process of legally buying back the land from individual Arab owners, only for such sales to be banned by Muslim/Arab "governments".

Add to this the questionable process of determining if Palestinian land is actually privately owned: I can see where Palestinians would like a very watered down standard that boils down to, "It's mine because I say its mine." But then again, Islam already says that about Spanish land conquered

Would be nice to have Kelo effectively declared "internationally unconstitutional", if only to see the Left twist itself into knots to hold to the one and deny the other...

#3  The Jews paid for that land more than two fold. Those that saw the Jews coming and fled, lost the right. The rest were paid for their property.

There is no such thing as a "Palestinian"

my understanding was at one of these places Palestinians had sold their land to Jews, but the supreme court had ruled that Jordanian Law applied and by Jordanian law Jews cannot own land, so the sales were illegal and the land was still Palestinian.
This law is in reaction to that decision.

Employees of UN agency praise Hitler, Hamas on Facebook
[TIMESOFISRAEL] Paleostinian employees of a United Nations
...the Oyster Bay money pit...
refugee agency are continuing to use social media to support terror activities and spread anti-Semitism, despite a previous outcry over the issue, according to a report by a UN watchdog.

The UN Watch organization first raised the concerns about United Nations Relief and Works Agency workers’ comments posted to social media in an October 2015 report. On Sunday, it released a follow-up report showing screenshots from the Facebook pages of 40 UNRWA school employees across Gazoo, Leb, Jordan and Syria.

The posts "incite to Jihadist terrorism and anti-Semitism, including by posting Holocaust-denying videos and pictures celebrating Hitler," the report said.

On Sunday, UN Watch chief Hillel Neuer presented the report to a joint US Congressional subcommittee dealing with the UN, Israel and the Paleostinians.

UN Watch said it also sent letters on Sunday to UN chief António Guterres, US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, and US envoy to the UN Nikki Haley
...first woman to serve as Governor of South Carolina, and the second Indian-American governor in the country, after Bobby Jindal of Louisiana. At the age of 39, Haley is the youngest current governor in the U.S., a distinction formerly held by Jindal. She is a Republican, which really grates on the Dems...
, urging them "to take action and demand UN and UNRWA condemnation of the incitement, and the immediate termination of the implicated employees."

The US gave UNRWA -- which provides Paleostinian refugees in the Middle East with education, health care, and social services -- $380 million in 2015.

Chris Gunness, a spokesperson for UNRWA, told The Times of Israel in a statement that his organization was aware of the allegations against it, and was "looking into [them] as part of our ongoing commitment to maintaining the Agency’s neutrality."

Russia, Iran support restructuring of Hamas in Gaza
[UPI] In January, the two main Paleostinian parties, Fatah and Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason,, agreed in Russian-sponsored talks to form a national unity government, ending a quasi-civil war that has lasted between them since 2007.

trying to resolve the Paleostinian-Israeli dispute for 25 years, it seems interested in hammering out a unilateral endgame to the Paleostinian crisis on its own.

Advising Russia on how to move forward on Paleostinian politics are Iran and Syria, allies that have worked with Hamas for years. Once considered a major pillar in the Iran-led Axis of Resistance, Hamas defected in 2012 soon after the Syrian crisis erupted.

Hamas figures started scrambling for a U-turn and sent a senior delegation to the 37th anniversary of the Khomeini revolution, where they met with the commander of the elite al-Quds Force, Maj.-Gen. Qassem Soleimani, while showering Iran with praise on Hamas-affiliated television and radio.

Terror Networks
ISIS trafficking in human organs

[al-Manar] The ISIL Takfiri group is trafficking in stolen human organs in Mosul after losing funding, local source in Nineveh told Sumaria Iraqi Television.

The Takfiri group is extracting organs of 45 patient people in hospitals across the right bank of Tigris River in Mosul, the source said, adding that among these injured whose organs are being stolen are militants from the terrorist group itself.

“Some of the patients in hospitals in the right bank of Mosul were surprised to find out that their kidneys are stolen after undergoing surgeries,” the source told Sumaria.

“This thing happened to some injured ISIL militants whose organs were stolen by some doctors recruited by the Takfiri group,” according to the source.

The number of people whose organs were stolen for trafficking reached 45, based on available data, the source said, noting that ISIL is dealing gangs specialized with organ theft.

#2  I don't believe this story for a second. Islamic state are primitive religitards.

They are capable of operating weapons technology stolen from us. They are capable of adapting drones and recruiting muslim IT nerds for hacking and publishing.

They are capable of digging tunnels and making bombs.

But they are scavenger carrion. They are not geniuses. They do not have the level of technical sophistication to do successful organ transplants.

They are primitive religitarded islamists.

Heart transplants take hours but they have to bang their heads on the ground towards mecca five times a day. Come on.

The chinese do it but they are smart and technically sophisticated as well as ruthless. Just being ruthless is not enough.

Not ‘Lone Wolves' After All: How ISIS Guides World's Terror Plots From Afar
A small taste:
[NYTimes] HYDERABAD, India — When the Islamic State identified a promising young recruit willing to carry out an attack in one of India’s major tech hubs, the group made sure to arrange everything down to the bullets he needed to kill victims.

For 17 months, terrorist operatives guided the recruit, a young engineer named Mohammed Ibrahim Yazdani, through every step of what they planned to be the Islamic State’s first strike on Indian soil.

They vetted each new member of the cell as Mr. Yazdani recruited helpers. They taught him how to pledge allegiance to the terrorist group and securely send the statement.

And from Syria, investigators believe, the group’s virtual plotters organized for the delivery of weapons as well as the precursor chemicals used to make explosives, directing the Indian men to hidden pickup spots.

Until just moments before the arrest of the Indian cell, here last June, the Islamic State’s cyberplanners kept in near-constant touch with the men, according to the interrogation records of three of the eight suspects obtained by The New York Times.

As officials around the world have faced a confusing barrage of attacks dedicated to the Islamic State, cases like Mr. Yazdani’s offer troubling examples of what counterterrorism experts are calling enabled or remote-controlled attacks: violence conceived and guided by operatives in areas controlled by the Islamic State whose only connection to the would-be attacker is the internet.

In the most basic enabled attacks, Islamic State handlers acted as confidants and coaches, coaxing recruits to embrace violence. In the Hyderabad plot, among the most involved found so far, the terrorist group reached deep into a country with strict gun laws to arrange for pistols and ammunition to be left in a bag swinging from the branches of a tree.
