Salon secretly deleted all pro-pedophile articles
[AgeOfShitlords] For several years now, Salon has been trying to normalize pedophilia and to bring “pedo acceptance” into the mainstream. In one instance, they allowed a self-admitted pedophile by name “Todd Nickerson” to write op eds, asking for acceptance of pedophiles, who he argued, were different from child molesters.

The first article from Todd, titled “I’m a pedophile, but not a monster” tells the story of Todd, who claims to be sexually attracted to children but has never abused a child before. He wrote a follow-up article a week later titled “I’m a pedophile, you’re the monsters: My week inside the vile right-wing hate machine”.

Apparently, his previous Pedo article didn’t go over very well with right wingers, and he received some hateful messages and death threats from people he identified as “far right extremists”.

Today, both of those articles are no longer hosted on Salon.com. In the past two days alone, Salon has published three articles accusing Breitbart’s Milo Yiannopoulos of condoning sex with minors, and they might have realized that their actions might seem hypocritical, coming from a website that frequently defended pedophilia. Trying to read any of the two articles directly will give you an “error 404” page, however, an archive of them can be found HERE and HERE.

Salon seems to have scrubbed their website entirely of any content relating to Todd the Pedo. Trying to view his profile or any of the articles he has written turns up a blank page.

#1  milo never condoned sex with minors, he was only talking about his own experience figuring out who he was

he's made it worse by saying 'i'm a victim of abuse'

they're having a field day with him

and that op ed someone posted "if they get milo, you're next' was brilliant and spot on

they took down Flynn, now it's Milo, next it will be someone else till they tear trump admin and supporters apart.

he has to sack paul ryan get him out of there. these old RINOs are feeding it

#2  ps i will also say off that salon, i remember that todd article at least i think i do

if it is the one where some guy said 'i'm attracted to children, it's a terrible curse. I've never acted on it so i've hurt nobody and committed no crime - but there needs to be a support group for people like me so we can help each other to never commit crimes and to be productive normal people. We are born this way"

i think that was the gist that i remember

i don't think that's a bad thing or promoting pedophilia.

In a given population of 300 million , some people will be born pedophiles

it's better that they have a pathway to help them never offend, and so we can identify them also, rather than have them hide in the shadows and maybe hurt some kid.

it would save more kids. so i think it would be counter-productive to attack what essentially might be a good person who has been cursed with proclivities that are evil, but that he resisted.

#3  Milo is gay Sawah Palin. Many were sucked in by his schtick. When will "conservatives" learn that the cult of personality is a toxic dead end?

#4  Let me get this right. Woman by adult age have hair well beyond their cranial locks. Been that way for hundred thousand years or so. However, the contemporary culture has a fetish of shaving legs, underarms, and private areas. The only 'natural' state that reflects is very underage girls. Hmmmmmm...

#5  milo never condoned sex with minors,...

Why yes...yes he did. Watch the vid.

...he was only talking about his own experience trying to figure out who he was.

No, no he wasn't. Again, watch the vid.

...he has to sack paul ryan get him out of there. these old RINO'S are feeding it

Lame deflection. This has nothing to do with Speaker Ryan. This is a sorted tale of another sexual deviant who advocates preying on children. Worse yet he excuses his fetishes by claiming they do these vile acts, get this, in benefit of the abused children. Ironically, as "proud" gay man he does a disservice to his community by associating molestation with homosexualality.

#6  DG is correct. "Society" as defined by the media arbiters demands that all sexual flavors be respected - except maybe your cis proclivities. Milo was a "pet" of a particular branch of the "conservative movement" the same way pisslamic extremists are pets to leftists who really hold no common cause with them except hatred for the west. Nothing more.

#9  Milo was a victim when grown adult men had sexual encounters with him when Milo was in his early teens. Milo's words did him in--he attempted to claim that those encounters with grown men were mere "coming of age" encounters. That type of language isn't going to play well with.

In some respects, Milo was victimized anew by those same men who abused him as a teenager--his inability to process what those acts were rose up and bit him a couple of decades after the fact when he spoke his mind.

When will "conservatives" learn that the cult of personality is a toxic dead end?

Seriously -- where the FUCK was the "cult of personality" around Milo? Because people believed he should be allowed to speak? Because people thought he was an interesting spokesman for a worthwhile position? Because people object to editing remarks to come out the opposite of what he actually said?

Afghanistan
With Afghan cooperation
[DAWN] AS the state struggles to contain and put an end to a continuing spell of violence, the military leadership has emphasised that Pakistain and Afghanistan must "fight [a] common enemy, ie Lions of Islam of all hue and colour". In comments attributed to Gen Qamar Bajwa by the ISPR, the army chief asserted in a security meeting that border cooperation and coordination between Afghanistan and Pakistain is essential. Gen Bajwa is also reported to have reiterated that "Pakistain and Afghanistan have fought against terrorism and shall continue this effort together". The evident shift in tone of the military leadership from anger and the threat of unilateral action across the Pak-Afghan border to coordinated action against the mutual threat of terrorism is precisely the bedrock on which long-term policy needs to be built. The past is a clear indicator of the futility of unilateralism or the pursuit of policies by either country that the other does not support.

Clearly, a bilateral framework of cooperation must accommodate exigencies and there is an urgent need to address the current spate of violence inside Pakistain. As the Charsadda attack yesterday indicates, Pakistain is facing a wave of terror attacks that is reminiscent of the very darkest days in the long fight against militancy. The ebb and flow of militancy in the two countries requires flexible priorities and Pakistain is right in insisting that the anti-Pakistain bandidos bandidos myrmidons who have found sanctuary in Afghanistan be targeted urgently. If Afghan cops or the US-led foreign military contingents are unable to act decisively against them, then Kabul
...the capital of Afghanistan. Home to continuous fighting from 1992 to 1996 between the forces of would-be strongman and Pak ISI/Jamaat-e-Islami sock puppet Gulbuddin Hekmayar and the Northern Alliance, a period which won Hek the title Most Evil Man in the World and didn't do much for the reputations of the Northern Alliance guys either....
should consider allowing Pak forces to operate in the border regions where those bandidos bandidos myrmidons are believed to have found sanctuary. What Pakistain should be mindful of is to not conduct operations, especially putting boots on the ground, in Afghan territory without Kabul’s consent. Difficult as the border region is, mutual respect for territorial integrity and illusory sovereignty must form the basis of a common policy against terrorism. From US dronezaps to the raid that killed the late Osama bin Laden
... who used to be alive but now he's not...
, Pakistain has always publicly protested any incursions into its terrain. It does not behove authorities here to deny Kabul even symbolic control over Afghan territory.

Unhappily, the Afghan government led by President Ashraf Ghani
...former chancellor of Kabul University, now president of Afghanistan. Before returning to Afghanistan in 2002 he was a scholar of political science and anthropology. He worked at the World Bank working on international development assistance. As Finance Minister of Afghanistan between July 2002 and December 2004, he led Afghanistan's attempted economic recovery until the Karzais stole all the money. ..
does not seem eager to heed the advice and take up the offer of Gen Bajwa. In comments in Germany recently, Mr Ghani appeared to cling to a sceptical view of Pak-Afghan ties rather than reach out to Pakistain in its hour of grief. But the same ISPR statement on border cooperation notes that the "COAS also welcomed recent proposals from Afghan authorities", suggesting that perhaps Mr Ghani and his advisers have been more open to mutual cooperation in private. If so, the emphasis should be on the cooperative steps that can be taken along the Pak-Afghan border.

Move Left, Democrats
As Sarah Hoyt says, "Roll left and die."
[NYTIMES] If progressive whites are defecting because they are uninspired by Democrats, moving further to the right will only deepen their disillusionment. But if the next D.N.C. chairman can win them back, the country’s demographic trends will tilt the field in Democrats’ favor. As Mrs. Clinton’s popular vote margin showed, there is still a new American majority made up of a meaningful minority of whites and an overwhelming majority of minorities. Not only is there little evidence that Democrats can do significantly better with those white working-class voters who are susceptible to messages laced with racism and sexism, but that sector of the electorate will continue to shrink in the coming years. Nearly half of all Democratic votes (46 percent) were not white in 2016, and over the next four years, 10 million more people of color will be added to the population, as compared with just 1.5 million whites.

Keith Ellison, a D.N.C. chairman candidate, has a proven record of engaging core Democratic voters rather than chasing the elusive conservative whites, and the party would be in good hands under his stewardship. (Thomas E. Perez, the former labor secretary, has less electoral history, but his reliance on political superstars such as the strategist Emmy Ruiz, who delivered victories for Democrats in Nevada and Colorado, is encouraging.)

Whoever prevails as chairman must resist the pressure to follow an uninformed and ill-fated quest for winning over conservative white working-class voters in the Midwest. The solution for Democrats is not to chase Trump defectors. The path to victory involves reinspiring those whites who drifted to third-party candidates and then focusing on the ample opportunities in the Southwest and the South.

Mrs. Clinton came closer to winning Texas than she did Iowa. She fared better in Arizona, Georgia and Florida than she did in the traditional battleground state of Ohio. The electoral action for Democrats may have once been in the Rust Belt, but it’s now moving west and south.

India-Pakistan
War of sanctuaries
[DAWN] THE latest spate of deadly violence and the military’s punitive strikes on terrorist camps across the Durand Line has caused tensions between Kabul
...the capital of Afghanistan. Home to continuous fighting from 1992 to 1996 between the forces of would-be strongman and Pak ISI/Jamaat-e-Islami sock puppet Gulbuddin Hekmayar and the Northern Alliance, a period which won Hek the title Most Evil Man in the World and didn't do much for the reputations of the Northern Alliance guys either....
and Islamabad to escalate. This time, matters have gone beyond the usual blame game that is witnessed after each terrorist strike on either side of the border. In an unprecedented move, Pakistain has closed its border with Afghanistan and has issued shoot-on-sight orders to be carried out against trespassers.

What triggered this fury is the trail of the latest surge in violence leading to krazed killer groups operating from Afghanistan. After being driven out of the tribal areas, several factions of the Pak Taliban have found a safe haven across the border. The latest bloodbath indicates how quickly the holy warriors have regrouped to launch barbaric acts of terror across Pakistain.

After Sehwan
[DAWN] It will soon enough be 70 years since Pakistain came into existence, under the aegis of a founding father who clearly declared, on the eve of independence, that he did not envisage any barriers between faiths or any interference by the state in the personal beliefs of its citizens. But, as the Objectives Resolution adopted by an undemocratic assembly barely months after his demise illustrates, Mohammad Ali Jinnah’s secular ideals cut little ice with those who had used him in the preceding years as a conduit for their pseudo-religious fantasies.

This year also brings another landmark anniversary. By and large, Islamist fundamentalism remained on the periphery of Pak politics until 1977. Sure, much had gone wrong before then, but it was the advent of Gen Zia ul Haq
...the creepy-looking former dictator of Pakistain. Zia was an Islamic nutball who imposed his nutballery on the rest of the country with the enthusiastic assistance of the nation's religious parties, which are populated by other nutballs. He was appointed Chief of Army Staff in 1976 by Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, whom he hanged when he seized power. His time in office was a period of repression, with hundreds of thousands of political rivals, minorities, and journalists executed or tortured, including senior general officers convicted in coup-d'état plots, who would normally be above the law. As part of his alliance with the religious parties, his government helped run the war against the Soviets in Afghanistan, providing safe havens, American equipiment, Saudi money, and Pak handlers to selected mujaheddin. Zia died along with several of his top generals and admirals and the then United States Ambassador to Pakistain Arnold Lewis Raphel when he was assassinated in a suspicious air crash near Bahawalpur in 1988...
’s military dictatorship that effectively sealed the nation’s fate.

Iraq
The only way to root out terrorism
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] The ongoing political struggle in Iraq between Sadrists and the Dawa Party is a Shiite-Shiite struggle. It is between two Islamized and politicized groups belonging to the same sect.

Vested interests and the dire need to maintain influence have made each claim that it is the true representative of the sect while its rival is corrupt and portrays Islam negatively. If the Sunnis engage in this political argument, the struggle will worsen and those involved will simply adopt a more sectarian approach.

This is where the seeds of violence, rivalries, murder, bloodshed and strife are sown. Therefore, it is not at all possible to root out the causes behind terrorism unless Moslems agree to separate religion from the muddle of politics and holy mans agree to stay away from the swamps of political disputes.

This cannot be achieved unless by following the principle "religion is for God and the homeland is for all". The principle was applied in the West after wars and religious and sectarian disputes had crushed them. This continues to be the basic pillar of co-existence among them despite the differences of faiths, sects and ethnicities. Their history is full of sectarian divides and disputes, just like the Arabs of today.

I am certain that we can eliminate terrorism only by eliminating its causes. The most important step is to prevent religion, or more accurately, sects from interfering in politics.

The common factor
When looking at the Sunnis, take Moslem Brüderbund, its byproduct of Sururism, al-Qaeda, ISIS and its branches as an example. Compare them with the Shiite Dawa Party, Hezbollah in Leb, Sadrists, Popular Mobilization Forces and Houthis in Yemen. We will realize that the common factor among all these is that they employ religion to serve political ends.

Each category claims they are the only true Moslems and that the others have gone astray. Ask yourselves objectively ‐ How do we resolve this clash and end fighting? There is only one solution and it is peaceful coexistence irrespective of religious or sectarian differences.

I am all ears if anyone has another solution. One must feel free to suggest and the only condition is that it should satisfy all Islamic parties and sects and completely root out terrorism.

The basic principle
I firmly believe that there is no other solution. Other people have sought and tried and reached the same conclusion after blood has been shed and the rights and dignities have been violated. Cities after cities have been destroyed in the process. In the end, this was the only solution they found so they agreed on it and considered it made it one of their basic principles.

I know there are parties that benefit from acts of terrorism. They claim that they are against terrorism but when you call for eliminating its causes, they attack you. If you propose a solution, they use the most hideous words to describe you.

They know that they will be the first to lose if religion is separated from politics. They are fighting this solution just like priests in Europe fought during dark medieval ages.

#1  yes that is the only future for the muslim world long-term.

they absolutely have to get religion out of politics and turn it into a faith only

how different might Iraq have been if, after we kicked Saddam out, we refused to put sharia in the constitution

if we had put a soldier on every corner. Emptied Rammstein and Japanese bases and put all the US forces in an occupation on the scale of Germany after WWII

if we had said: religion will no longer be tolerated in the schools or in the police, army or government at any level.

if we had immediately ruled that the secular constitution would not allow sharia in any form, that men and women, gay and straight would be treated as equal

that iraq would be a haven and a beacon across the muslim world for all who were accused of apostasy, for beaten women, for closet homosexuals in fear of their lives, for ahmaddiyas and yazidis and zoroastrians, christians, atheists and jews as well as shia and sunni

do you think anybody would have come?

do you think iraq would be different today?

instead we got "put the sharia in there to keep the muslim powerbrokers happy"

and then we got obama

Home Front: Culture Wars
The left's own politics by shorthand is now being turned against it.
h/t Instapundit
Once asked by an aide to respond to a letter to the editor from one of his critics, Vladimir Lenin refused, saying: "Why should we bother to reply to Kautsky? He would reply to us, and we would have to reply to his reply. There’s no end to that. It will be quite enough for us to announce that Kautsky is a traitor to the working class, and everyone will understand everything."

That has been the modus operandi of the left for decades. It doesn’t respond to arguments with arguments but with stigmatizing names designed to end debate. As the communications arm of the left, the media conforms perfectly to Lenin’s method. Instead of rebutting the arguments of conservatives, it has found it easier to brand them as "enemies" of science, women, minorities, the poor, and so on.

...But that demagogic shorthand only works as long as Republican politicians defer to it. For years journalists opined self-servingly under the guise of objectivity and got away it because Republicans were too afraid to shatter that illusion of objectivity. They permitted the media to serve as the arbiter of what qualifies as "mainstream," "extremist," "racist," and so forth, and made sure to stay within the media-determined parameters of any discussion.

Donald Trump has blown up that absurd arrangement and is beating the media at its own game. He labels reporters in the same way that they label him. He upends their dishonest framing of debates by treating them as what they are, liberal partisans. His exchange last week with April Ryan, a correspondent for the American Urban Radio Network, captured that perfectly. She asked him a loaded question not as a neutral reporter but as a water-carrier for the Congressional Black Caucus. So he treated her that way. "I’ll tell you what, do you want to set up the meeting?" the president said to her, after she asked if he would meet with the CBC. "Do you want to set up the meeting? Are they friends of yours?" Of course, they are friends of hers and she was trying to score a partisan point for them. Had Trump not deconstructed that for the audience, her question might have done him damage. Instead, it fell flat and looked unserious.

...If he treats it as an opposition party, that’s because it is one. The fury of the media is the fury of exposed partisans, for whom ruling had once come so easy and now is too hard.
IMO, one area of common blindness is to view the Press, or the bureaucracy, or the academia, as servants of the Democratic Party. They're not. They are the New Class, and Democratic party --- along with major parts of the other party --- are part of the New Class and its loyal servants.

Sarah Hoyt: If They Take Milo Down, You're Next
...IF the attack on Milo were about, say how outrageous he got before the election (he’s been walking it back since. I suspect he gets a little battle mad as I tend to.) I’d shrug and say "whatever". However this is a contrived and false attack and one that apparently came from the right but is teaching the left the way to take every one of us down. You might not like Milo or his lifestyle, but you should not under any circumstances, applaud this means of taking him down. And if you do, I hope you experience likewise and get to experience what you like so much. There is a good chance you will. They’ve tasted blood with Milo. We’re next.

Milo fighting pedophiles: here, here and here. And now, what I have to say.*

If You Let Them "Get" Milo, You’re Next
Look guys, this is where Sarah takes her gloves off, turns the picture of Heinlein to the wall to spare him the worst of the rant, puts her hands on her hips and gives you the blunt and painful truth. I swear you’re not going to like it and I swear to you that you need to hear it.

So, this kerfuffle with Milo Yannopolis, let’s be frank: have you seen the non-edited videos? Have you been to his page? No? Then shut up.

He might have used infelicitous terms, but not all that infelicitous. He might have got caught in explaining too far ‐ as someone who used to write for Classical Values, the blog devoted to overthinking it, I can’t complain ‐ but he’s always been a bit more intellectual than the rest of the right and VERY intellectual for a shock-Jockey. But that is it.

Yes, he used "boys" when he meant men. So do you, every fricking day. No? Then what’s with Playboy, "one of the boys", "playing with the big boys." Unless you mean kids under the age of 12, you too used boys to mean men.

Second he talked about relationships between younger men and older men as nurturing, comfortable. Yeah, and? He also said that he thinks the age of consent is about where it should be. And for the US he is right.

The US, you say? What does that have to do with it?

Well, dear heart, if you think that the age of consent being 18 (it’s actually 16 in most states, but never mind) is a law of nature, you should perhaps meditate on George Bernard Shaw’s dictum: Pardon him, Theodotus: he is a barbarian, and thinks that the customs of his tribe and island are the laws of nature.

This is where Milo got into overthinking, when he started discussing how strictly speaking pedophiles are attracted to those people who haven’t undergone puberty (or are undergoing puberty.) He’s absolutely right, but he was perhaps over-intellectualizing. The truth is that laws of consent usually slice the do no harm/prevent harm very finely indeed, and are set when most of the population of the country can be assumed to have passed through and undergone puberty.
I wrote a paper on this once. Pedophilia is defined to prepubescent children. (a) Most child molesters are not pedophiles (Birger et al.(2011). J Am Acad Psychiatry Law, 39(1), 100-103). (b) Attraction for post-pubescent is defined as hebephilia toward girls involved and ephebophilia toward boys.

#1  I'm not a fan of Milo, but he fell on his sword to protect the Trump agenda. Kudos to him.

#2  I think the angry left gay mafia took him down because they couldn't stand to see a Republican openly gay man being politically active.

Much like SCLC, the NAACP, and the left tried to an continue to try to take down Clarence Thomas because he had the nerve to be a black republican.

#3  All of a sudden the left cares what people do and say? Inconceivable!

#4  This also gives cover and legitimacy to the Deep State's SA that currently occupies our college campuses.

#5  You know, I never quite knew what defined the so-called 'Alt-Right'. But this and a couple of the other posts have given the subject much more clarity. They are people that are willing to defend their own, even if he's a pervert child molester, and blame it on anybody who they perceive to dislike President Trump. Got it.
Posted by: DepotGuy || 02/22/2017 12:49 Comments || Top||

#6  Now you crossed the line, DepotGuy. Sarah Hoyt is not alt-right. You, on the other hand --- as anybody willing to go over your posts since the elections, are are another neverTrumper.

#7  Sorry. I never read anything he wrote. I'm always leery of people who always turn every conversation to sex, especially perverted sex. It's just too tedious. I didn't like the riots at Berkeley. I thought the rioters should have been arrested and the Berkeley admins should have been sacked for their spinelessness. I think Milo has every right to say what he wants. But I wouldn't have gone to see him myself. Sorry if Milo was a victim. Maybe he can start his own web site. I won't visit it but he has every right to do so. I just don't care.

#8  The Left was OK with gays, perverts and child molesters as long as they toed the correct political line. This has all the hallmarks of yet another well-orchestrated Outrage du Jour. It is becoming tiresome.

#9  If this was from 2016, it would support SteveS' theory.

If you think what Milo said is immoral, tune into MTV.

And Milo's behavior is not an outlier in a few circles, not much of an outlier in some large circles.

#10  Sarah Hoyt is not alt-Right.

Hey,sorry, as I said I don't entirely understand the definition. But just so we're clear. Was it offensive that I misidentified Ms.Hoyt as Alt-Right?
Or was it more offensive that I pointed out the Alt-Right defends perverts?
As far as the calling me a NeverTrumper - not so. It's just that I loathe organized propaganda from any direction.

#11  Was it offensive that I misidentified Ms.Hoyt as Alt-Right?

Damn straight it is - you should read her post. In fact you should read her books.

Re "NeverTrump" sorry, I just felt like showing how easy it's to throw labels around.

It's just that I loathe organized propaganda from any direction.

I loath gravitation, and aging, and a million other things. Them are the breaks.

#14  Best thing about this story is its drawn George Takai and Bill Maher into the same trap

I've twice posted the link in threads here to Mr. Takei laughing about having been molested by his camp counsellor when he was 13, though he hadn't previously contemplated the idea of being gay; I shan't add a third. But Bill Maher?

#15  Let's not forget Lena Dunham bragging about how neat it was to sexually assault her sister.

Oh, and the name of her show, Girls, is not a reference to children.

#17  DepotGuy,
ALT-RIGHT, as defined by the left, are white nationalist nazi's. Milo tried to claim to be leader of the group but I don't think he was ever successful.

CTRL-LEFT, is a wonderful term I ran across yesterday to describe the far left.
