Trump tweets he’ll skip White House Correspondents’ dinner
[RT] US President Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States...
has tweeted he is not going to be present at the White House Correspondents' Association dinner. The announcement comes after several high-profile news organizations, including Bloomberg and The New Yorker, withdrew from the event.

"I will not be attending the White House Correspondents' Association Dinner this year. Please wish everyone well and have a great evening!", Trump wrote.

#3  Kidding aside, and God only knows this provides abundant opportunity, what is it with socialists? Do they all simply inhabit some kind of permanent state of make believe. Like the Supreme Court vacancy...cleverly stolen by the, um, Biden Rule. Sanctuary cities? 'Not My President'. I guess this is what you get when you arm the Bandar-log with Priuses.

#5  Do they all simply inhabit some kind of permanent state of make believe.

I'd say yes. The left embraces Hollywood in a hand-in-glove relationship--Hollywood, the land of dreams and make believe and $1000 dollar habits.

#6  Speaking of Hollywood, do you suppose the mass-liberal melt-down/hissy fit the celebrities will broadcast tonight will sort of put the cherry on the sundae with the American public about the left and the dummycrats?

#7  For those like me who didn't know what Cesare was talking about:

In Hindi, Bandar means "monkey" and log means "people" – therefore, "Bandar-log" means "monkey people." The term has also since come to refer to "any body of irresponsible chatterers."

Ex-labor secretary Tom Perez elected DNC chair
Thank goodness -- now Professor Dershowitz won't have to give up his Democratic Party membership.
[AA.TR] Democratic National Committee has elected former Labor Secretary Tom Perez as its new chairman after a hard-fought race against Representative Keith Ellison.

Perez was one vote shy after the first ballot held Saturday, but received enough support in the second to become the first Latino chairman of the Democratic Party’s governing body.

Backed by progressives and championed by 2016 presidential candidate Bernie Sanders
...The only openly Socialist member of the U.S. Senate. Sanders was Representative-for-Life from Vermont until moving to the Senate for the rest of his life in 2006, assuming the seat vacated by Jim Jeffords...
, Representative Ellison -- who would have been the first Moslem chairman -- received 200 votes in the second round against Perez’ 235.

After the result was announced, Perez appointed Ellison as deputy chairman. "I am asking you to give everything you have got to support Chairman Perez," Ellison told his supporters.

Perez served as Labor Secretary from 2013 to 2017 under the second Barack B.O. regime. He had the support of heavy-hitters in the party establishment, including former Vice President Joe Foreign Policy Whiz Kid Biden
The former Senator-for-Life from Delaware, an example of the kind of top-notch Washington intellect to be found in the World's Greatest Deliberative Body...
and former U.S. Attorney General Eric Inaction Jackson Holder
... aka Mister Fast and Furious...

less emotional than Donna B

less of an attention hound than Debbie WS

better contacts in business, media, etc. than Ellison

definitely more dangerous

Rutgers University spent nearly $1.5M for Barack Obama's 2016 commencement address
  • Then-President Obama gave keynote commencement speech at Rutgers in 2016
  • Event witnessed by 52,000 people at school's Piscataway, New Jersey campus
  • University says portions of the money used to pay for traffic police and security
  • Obama's appearance cost $523,000 more than that of 2015 speaker, Bill Nye
    Did it include greens fees?

#9  When did it become the fashion for former presidents to charge for commencement speeches?

Given it was 2016, he was then the current president. One hopes the money went for security and meals, not a fee.

Seattle Mayor Holds State of the City address… at Mosque
[CreepingSharia] In doing so, Seattle Mayor Ed Murray forced every non-Muslim in attendance to submit to the sharia ‐ as seen in the picture. He proceeded to announce his vow sue the feds for enforcing federal laws which he also vowed not to enforce. Treason anyone?

Any relation to Washington Senator Patty Murray?
    Posted by: Glenmore || 02/26/2017 9:04 Comments || Top||

#7  Patty Murray is the Senator's married name. Her maiden name was Johns.

Ed (5 years younger than Patty) has made a career of pushing gay rights, upping the minimum wage and various other leftist causes.

He is also one of the big supporters of tunneling under the Alaska Way Viaduct (carrying State Route 99 through the downtown). This project was originally estimated at $2.5B to be completed by 2015. Currently the estimated cost is $4.5B and the completion date is 2019.
