Pentagon Suspends Security Clearance of Trump White House Aide
[Free Beacon] The Pentagon this week suspended the security clearance of a White House National Security Council analyst that U.S. officials say was the target of political retribution by government bureaucrats opposed to President Trump's appointees.

Adam S. Lovinger, a 12-year strategic affairs analyst with the Pentagon's Office of Net Assessment (ONA), has been on loan to the NSC since January when he was picked for the position by then-National Security Adviser Michael T. Flynn.
Sending along a recommended reading by Dow.
Lovinger was notified in a letter from the Pentagon on Monday that his Top-Secret, Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS-SCI) clearance had been suspended and that he had to return to the Pentagon.

The letter cited unspecified outside activities by Lovinger. The notice said the suspension was approved by Kevin Sweeney, chief of staff for Defense Secretary James Mattis.

One official said Lovinger was targeted by Trump opponents because of his conservative views and ties to Flynn, specifically his past association with the Flynn Intel Group, Inc., a consulting business.

Skipping down a bit to potential causes and outcomes:

Lovinger is senior director for strategic assessments at the NSC. In that position, he has proposed shifting the Office of Net Assessment from the Pentagon to the White House, where it was located when established during the Nixon administration.

Lovinger wrote a memo to current National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster on the need for a net assessment capability within the NSC.
When did net-assessments become a bad thing? Perhaps he recommended that someone at Mike Flynn's FIG do the assessment? Yea, that might have been a bridge too far. Sorry pal, it's back to the 'Five Sided Nut' for you.

#1  Appears he might have 'gone off the reservation' with his recommendation an for NSC 'network assessment' and proposed mission transfer. Nice to see someone finally losing access. Too bad it had to be a potential 'swamp drainer.' I wonder if Huma and the Beest are still 'read-on.'

We don't need no stinkin net assessments. Nothing escapes our grip I tell you. NOTHING !

Fourth man accuses Seattle Mayor Ed Murray of paying him for sex
[SEATTLETIMES] In a handwritten declaration from jail, a fourth man has accused Seattle Mayor Ed Murray of paying him for sex. A Murray spokesman denied the latest allegations, calling them a “sensational media stunt.”

I'd say in Seattle, the girl, dead or alive would be a career killer. The boy, dead or alive would be a career enhancer.

Any quadruped mammal, regardless of sex, would be called "announcing his campaign to run for the US Senate..."

Huma Abedin Fwd Beest's Classified Emails To Husband, Anthony Weiner [VIDEO]
[Daily Caller] Huma Abedin forwarded Hillary Clinton’s emails, some of them classified, to her disgraced husband, Anthony Weiner, FBI Director James Comey revealed on Wednesday.

"[Weiner’s] then-spouse, Huma Abedin, appears to have had a regular practice of forwarding emails to forward to him, I think, to print out for her so she could deliver them to the secretary of state," Comey told the Senate Judiciary Committee during an oversight hearing.

Comey reopened the FBI investigation into Clinton’s email practices in October after agents discovered that a laptop owned by Weiner and Abedin contained Clinton’s emails. The laptop was seized as part of a separate investigation into Weiner’s contacts with a 15-year-old girl.

Asked whether Weiner, a former New York congressman, read the emails Abedin forwarded to him, Comey said he did not think that was the case.

"I don’t think we have been able to interview him because he has pending criminal problems of other sorts. But my understanding is that his role would be to print them out as a matter of convenience," said Comey.

#10  Forwarded for printing? I'm supposed to believe that?

I believe it. You expect Hillary to learn how to print her own emails? You expect her to just read it from the screen? No. She is among the class of supposedly highly intelligent and powerful individuals who are absolutely computer illiterate and actually not all that intelligent either. She certainly cannot be bothered to perform mundane tasks like printing her own "hard copies" when a chump like Weiner is there to do it for her.

Just like her chump friend John Podesta, a supposedly highly intelligent and powerful individual, who couldn't even recognize a phishing scam that most 13-year-old kids would have laughed at. He got hacked and tried to blame it on the Russians but when you're that stupid you have only yourself to blame.

What's really scary is that these people have been in positions of great power and they were very close to getting into power again.

Absolutely correct! A reading of the US Code makes it very clear. Unfortunately, they [Comey & fellow conspirators] continue to incorrectly site 'intent.'

#14  If I heard what Comey said yesterday correctly, his public admission of what Huma did by itself constitutes adequate justification for her arrest and prosecution. Why is there no action by DOJ, since a failure to act on so obvious a case could only suggest special treatment. Step up Sessions !

#15  To my mind forward for printing means create hardcopy that can be hidden somewhere while computers and hard drives are destroyed.

Hidden probably intended to protect Huma from the Hillary if Hillary ever throw her under the bus.

I find it impossible to believe that there is not some sort of data loss prevention system in place that would make it impossible for a forwarded classified document to be printed out on someone's home computer.

We apply this type of encryption to data on a regular basis using industry standard sytems that are used by millions of IT departments around the world.

Lynch-Clinton Tarmac meeting: More BS from James Comey
[Free Beacon] FBI Director James Comey testified Wednesday before the Senate Judiciary Committee that the airport tarmac meeting between then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch and former President Bill Clinton last June showed the Justice Department could not credibly investigate Hillary Clinton's email practices.

Clinton and Lynch met privately in Phoenix after both of them realized they were on the same airport tarmac, immediately raising questions about the independence of the Justice Department that was in the process of investigating then-presidential candidate Hillary Clinton's use of a private email server.

"Our conversation was a great deal about grandchildren, it was primarily social about our travels and he mentioned golf he played in Phoenix," Lynch said last June, defending her meeting with Clinton.

Comey was concerned with the meeting regardless of Lynch's defense, and said that he lived his whole life caring about the credibility and integrity of the criminal justice process.

"A number of things had gone on which I can't talk about yet, that made me worry that the department leadership could not credibly complete the investigation and decline prosecution without grievous damage to the American people's confidence in the justice system," Comey said.

"And then the capper was‐and I'm not picking on the attorney general, Loretta Lynch, who I like very much‐but her meeting with President Clinton on that airplane was the capper for me, and I then said, you know what, the department cannot, by itself, credibly end this," he said.

A divorce would have been messy, but we'd never reach the stage we're at now--which is for a lot of us to wonder whether he gave a damn at all about our country. What he's allowed Hillary to do amounts to *treason*. He's aided and abetted it.

Congrats, Democrats. You must be proud.

Berkeley elite propose ‘bubbles,’ ‘laughter yoga’ to quell campus violence
[WASHINGTONTIMES] A cadre of city leaders in Berkeley exchanged ideas for quelling violence by left-wing activists, which includes "quiet conversations," "empathy tents," "bubbles" and "laughter yoga."

Violent protests that have rocked the University of Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party,, Berkeley in recent months have the city’s elite searching for solutions. Documents obtained this week through a Public Request Act highlights some of the unorthodox suggestions for dealing with "antifa" activists who target conservative speakers.

"Do you think there is a possibility of having quiet conversations with leftist activist groups to see is they would be willing to stand down and not show up for May 2 and/or other events?" Downtown Berkeley Association CEO John Cainer asked officials in an April 20 letter, Heat Street reported May 2. "I know it is probably a long shot, but there would seem to be little risk in quietly doing so."

Berkeley volunteer Commissioner Phoebe Anne Sorgen suggested empathy tents, which were provided on April 27.

"Envision Wavy Gravy, bubbles, singing, laughter yoga! Occupella. Buddhist Peace Meditators. Fencing with sponge noodles," she wrote, Heat Street reported. "Will Edwin set up the Empathy tent? How about a volleyball game in the middle of the park and/or a square dance? Will Code Pink

New Evidence Bolsters Probability that Hillary Clinton Was Hacked
[AmericanThinker] We the American people were told repeatedly by Hillary Clinton and her proxies during the endless 2016 presidential election that her brazen use of a personal, unsecure email server to traffic some of the nation’s most sensitive secrets was not a problem, because her email system was never hacked. But was this really the case? I believe emails divulged by Judicial Watch suggest that her computer may well have been compromised by hostile actors.

FBI Director James Comey told us in his extraordinary July 5, 2016 statement to the media announcing his decision not to seek Mrs. Clinton’s prosecution for her email set-up: "With respect to potential computer intrusion by hostile actors, we did not find direct evidence that Secretary Clinton’s personal email domain, in its various configurations since 2009, was successfully hacked."

Mrs. Clinton herself told us on October 9, 2016 in the second presidential debate against Donald Trump: "After a yearlong investigation, there is no evidence that anyone hacked the server I was using and no evidence that anyone can point to at all; anyone who says otherwise has no basis."

I believe Judicial Watch may have unearthed the "smoking gun" revealing just such a compromise, or at least an attempt to hack Mrs. Clinton’s system. At the very least, I believe this finding should have been investigated by federal authorities if they were aware of it. If they were not aware of it, or were aware, but have not investigated it to date, they should do so now.

The discovery of this information and its possible significance requires some explanation.

In the fourteenth production of Huma Abedin’s emails transmitted from her clintonemail.com account that Judicial Watch obtained as a result of litigation against the State Department, on Page 287, we see a very interesting email exchange occurring between Ms. Abedin and Mrs. Clinton on November 20, 2009. Mrs. Clinton had received an email from someone she clearly did not know, named Jonathan Weston. His signature block in his email to Mrs. Clinton indicated that he was a Congressional Liaison Coordinator with something called the US-China Economic and Security Review Commission, based in Washington, DC. The email bears a subject line which should raise the hack antennae of anyone who has been using a computer for more than a week: "I Thought You Might Enjoy This."

The body of Mr. Weston’s email (or whoever sent the email over his name) is fairly sophisticated. It is six paragraphs long, addressed to "Dear Colleagues," and describes the contents of a report produced by Mr. Weston’s organization on Chinese economic policy.

There are three potentially alarming aspects to this email exchange.

First, the writer, Mr. Weston, indicates that there is a file attached to the email. The file is supposed to be the report produced by the US-China Economic and Security Review Commission described in the email. Files attached to emails are notorious for containing viruses.

Second, Mrs. Clinton forwarded the email on to Ms. Abedin, with the note: "Pls print. And who is he?" This off-hand comment reveals that Mrs. Clinton, the US Secretary of State and one of the most powerful people in the world, whose communications would be coveted by foreign intelligence services, is receiving an email from someone she doesn’t know on a personal email account presumably known only by a select group of family, friends and confidantes. It also implies, given her direction to Ms. Abedin to print the message, that she was interested in its content and may have clicked on the attached file.

Third ‐ and here’s our Sherlock Holmesian "There you have it, Watson!" moment ‐ when the email hit Ms. Abedin’s computer, her antivirus program added the prefix "*** VIRUS ***" to the subject line of the email.

But this is no laughing matter.

In a search of the State Department’s "Virtual Reading Room," where it posts documents that it has released through FOIA requests, to see if this email exchange had been published by the State Department before Judicial Watch received it, I discovered that it had, but the version previously published by the State Department was apparently obtained from Hillary Clinton’s computer records, not Ms. Abedin’s. The State Department’s previously released version did not contain the virus warning. This suggests that Mrs. Clinton’s computer did not have an anti-virus program, or at least not one able to detect that this email from Mr. Weston contained a virus. Ms. Abedin’s computer, however, did have an anti-virus program and did detect the virus, based on the VIRUS warning in the subject line after Mrs. Clinton forwarded it to Ms. Abedin.

Did Mrs. Clinton click on the file the email contained, thereby possibly introducing a virus into her computer? Was Mrs. Clinton’s computer thereby compromised by a malevolent actor? Has the FBI seen this email exchange and questioned Mr. Weston about it? Did they ask Mrs. Clinton if she clicked on the attachment that was in this email?

Jonathan Weston does exist, and he did work for a real think tank in Washington, DC called the US-China Economic and Security Commission from October 2009 to March 2013, according to his LinkedIn profile. Interestingly, Mr. Weston’s own organization, the US-China Economic and Security Commission, was revealed in 2012 to have been the target of a major cyber-attack, reportedly emanating from India. In a 2012 Reuters article discussing the attack, in an irony of ironies, Mr. Weston -- listed as a "spokesman" for the organization -- was quoted about the impact of the attack on his employer.

We know from the Wikileaks disclosures of John Podesta’s emails and those of other Democratic National Committee employees that he and his staff were the victim of a spearphishing attack, which IT specialists have claimed the Russians perpetrated. According to an IT specialist whom I consulted, the email Mrs. Clinton received from Mr. Weston also bears the hallmarks of a spearphishing attack.

As former US Attorney for the Southern District of New York, Andrew McCarthy, has laid out in typically brilliant fashion in National Review, Mrs. Clinton could, and should, have been criminally charged for her egregious violations of law with regard to the handling of classified national security information. He makes this charge notwithstanding a recent epic apologia of FBI Director James Comey’s dereliction found in the New York Times. As Mr. McCarthy points out in NR, Mrs. Clinton’s use of an unsecure email system during her tenure as secretary of state "almost certainly caused the compromise of government secrets to foreign intelligence services."

In a sane world, it would seem that federal investigators should try to learn if in fact Mr. Weston’s email was the source of a virus, and whether Mrs. Clinton clicked on a virus-laden file. But in a sane world, she would have already been charged.

#1  If that server wasn't hacked it was just dumb luck. There are plenty of bad actors out there who certainly tried and if her cyber security measures were as sadly lacking as the DNC's the hackers were most likely successful. Again, when you're that ignorant and stupid you can't really blame the Russians.

Either way she was felony stupid and her intentions were certainly not innocent.

#3  A thorough Information Security Damage Assessment would have to ASSUME hacking and compromise.

If you've been walking around the office with your trouser fly down all day and you only make discovery at the dinner table that evening, you can safely assume someone has already noticed.

Hillary Clinton to Launch New PAC
[FREEBEACON] Hillary Clinton
... former first lady, former secretary of state, former presidential candidate, sometimes described by her supporters as the smartest woman in the world, usually described by the rest of us as a crook...
is planning to soon launch a new political action committee without the intention of making another run for public office.
Our NTSA graphic is still on backorder. Thank you for your continued patience.
The failed 2016 Democratic presidential candidate will start the PAC to "act as a quiet catalyst" for organizations she supports and help 2018 congressional candidates, Axios reported Wednesday.

Clinton's PAC will be focused on "lifting up organizations that are the product of the energy and activism she has seen since the election, and existing groups that have been reignited and reinvigorated by that energy," a source familiar with the planning told Axios.

The source revealed that the PAC will not be a way for Clinton to comment on President Trump's activities but also said she "won't shy away from it."

The former secretary of state has been busy since the election. She is set to publish two books in the fall: a detailed account of her 2016 presidential campaign and a children's picture book, titled "It Takes a Village: Picture Book Edition."

#2  So she is going to throw support money at BLM, Antifa, Occupy, etc. Kinda a less lofty Soros model.

#13  I suspect we are seeing the starting shots in the war over control of the Democratic party. I think Obama already has a PAC and if he doesn't he'll probably have one within a week.

#15  Hillary PAC will have 80-90% administrative cost. Being the head of the PAC, she will get at least two or more million dollars a month year salary.
