[Khaama (Afghanistan)] A prominent former Afghan Jihadi leader and political figure Sebghatullah Mojadedi has opposed with the protesters call for the removal of the top security officials.
Speaking during a gathering in Kabul, Mojadedi said the removal of the top security officials would be in appropriate considering the current situation of the country.
Mojadedi also called on the protesters to end to the sit-ins and refrain from causing disturbances and issues to the residents of the city during the holy month of Ramadan.
This comes as deadlock persists between the government and the demonstrators, mainly comprising of Jamaat-e-Islami ...The Islamic Society, founded in 1941 in Lahore by Maulana Sayyid Abul Ala Maududi, aka The Great Apostosizer. The Jamaat opposed the independence of Bangladesh but has operated an independent branch there since 1975. It maintains close ties with international Mohammedan groups such as the Moslem Brotherhood. the Taliban, and al-Qaeda. The Jamaat's objectives are the establishment of a pure Islamic state, governed by Sharia law. It is distinguished by its xenophobia, and its opposition to Westernization, capitalism, socialism, secularism, and liberalist social mores... supporters after the Friday demonstrations turned violent.
The Jamaat-e-Isalmi party announced its conditions for an end to the deadlock and demanded the removal of the top security officials, including the national security adviser Mohammad Hanif Atmar to step down.
The party accused the security establishments for failing to maintain security for the people during a rally on second June that turned violent and left several people dead or maimed.

[THECABLE.NG] Niger Delta militants have issued an October 1 ultimatum for northerners to leave their region, in response to the quit notice given to the Igbo by some Arewa youth groups.
The militants also said the federal government should hand over all oil blocs controlled by northerners to the people of Niger Delta.
In a joint statement released on Friday, the coalition of Niger Delta militants said they will declare the independence of the region on October 1.
A communiqué was signed to this effect by ’General’ John Duku (Niger Delta Watchdogs and Convener: Coalition of Niger Delta Agitators), ’General’ Ekpo Ekpo (Niger Delta Volunteers), ’General’ Osarolor Nedam (Niger Delta Warriors), and ’Major-Gen.’ Henry Okon Etete (Niger Delta Peoples Fighters), ’Major-Gen.’ Asukwo Henshaw (Bakassi Freedom Fighters), ’Major-Gen.’ Ibinabo Horsfall (Niger Delta Movement for Justice), ’Major-Gen.’ Duke Emmanson (Niger Delta Fighters Network), and ’Major-Gen.’ Inibeghe Adams (Niger Delta Freedom Mandate).
"A coalition of the Niger Delta militants met today in Port Harcourt to review the recent call by the Arewa Youths groups that the Ndigbo should vacate all the Northern states within three months," it read.
"We see the declaration by Arewa Youths as a declaration which the northern elders, leaders, political elite, security heads from the North and governors were fully aware of.
"We demand 100 per cent control of our resources. We demand that the Federal Government should hand over all oil blocs owned by northerners to Niger Delta indigenes. All the companies operating in such oil blocs/wells should vacate within three months."
The militants further said that the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) should be relocated to the Niger Delta region.
"The Federal Government should immediately relocate NNPC and all the offices that have to do with oil/gas sector back to Niger Delta states and immediately replace the Group Managing Director with an indigene of Niger Delta," the communique further read.
"All northern indigenes working in NNPC and any other board that has anything to do with oil/gas should be sacked with immediate effect.
"We demand an independent and sovereign Republic of Niger Delta. We are tired of living with the North under Nigeria. We are tired of the President’s sentiments against the Niger Delta people.
"The President can have time to receive the Chibok girls but could not have time to meet with the representatives of the Niger Delta agitators. Our money has been used to fund Boko Haram ... not to be confused with Procol Harum, Harum Scarum, possibly to be confused with Helter Skelter. The Nigerian version of al-Qaeda and the Taliban rolled together and flavored with a smigeon of distinctly Subsaharan ignorance and brutality... , a problem created by the Northerners in order to use it as conduit pipe to siphon the resources of Niger Delta.
"On October 1, 2017 we shall declare our independence come rain, come shine. We shall take our destiny in our hands and free ourselves from the slavery of the North as they are tired of one Nigeria.
"From October 1, 2017, we don’t want to see any northerner close to (the) Niger Delta; any attempt to penetrate shall meet fierce resistance. This time, we are not going to play defence, but attack."

Egyptian Ibrahim Suleiman in October rammed his truck into a vehicle carrying three U.S. soldiers, in what the U.S. embassy described as a "terrorist attack."
The soldiers were unharmed but the driver was lightly maimed when his truck caught fire as a result of the collision.
Kuwaiti authorities said at the time that police found a handwritten note on Suleiman in which he pledged allegiance to IS. They also said that he was carrying suspected explosives.
Sunday's verdict against the 28-year-old is not final and will be reviewed by Kuwait's appeals and supreme courts.
The supreme court on Sunday also upheld a 20-year jail term against Fahad Farraj, reportedly the de facto head of IS in Kuwait and the ringleader of an eight-member convicted IS cell. The court also upheld 15- and 10-year jail terms for the other seven members of the cell, five of whom are Kuwaiti citizens. The remaining three do not hold any citizenship. The eight were convicted of fighting with IS in Syria and Iraq and of raising funds for the group.
Kuwaiti courts have given hefty jail terms to dozens of men charged with joining or sympathizing with IS.

"The state of Kuwait will not abandon its efforts and will continue its good will efforts to patch the rift and find a solution that will deal with the root cause of the causes of the dispute... in the brotherly relations," he added. "Kuwait stresses the inevitability of solving this disagreement within the Persian Gulf framework," he added. He went on to tell news hounds that his country will carry on mediating between the two sides until their differences are resolved.
Last week, Kuwait’s emir traveled to Qatar after his visits to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as part of his efforts to help mediate a solution to the diplomatic row among Arab countries.

[AlAhram] The Islamist group is now viewed with more suspicion in Germany, possibly linked to terror attacks, according to Ambassador Badr Abdelatty.
German intelligence officials have detected "suspicious behaviour" by the Moslem Brüderbund in eastern Berlin, Egypt’s ambassador to Germany Badr Abdelatty told state-run news agency ...and if you can't believe the state-run news agency who can you believe?... MENA on Sunday.
The ambassador made the comments on Sunday, one day ahead of President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi's planned visit to Berlin for a conference on investment in African nations.
Abdelatty, who was Egypt’s foreign ministry front man before taking his post in Berlin, said that a German security report has revealed recent suspicious actions on the part of the Brotherhood in Germany, including the construction of mosques in areas with few Moslems.
The ambassador did not release any more details regarding the claims made in the German intelligence report, although he did say that German officials have become more wary of the Moslem Brüderbund of late.
"The German side became increasingly convinced that all Death Eater groups in the name of religion hail from the [Moslem] Brotherhood," MENA quoted Abdelatty as saying.
The ambassador added that German officials used to view the Brotherhood as a political group that should be integrated into political life and party politics.
However, some people are alive only because it's illegal to kill them... the Germans now view the Brotherhood as an Death Eater group, he said.
This shift, according to Abdelatty, has resulted from groups related to the Brotherhood, such as Hasm, taking responsiblity for various terrorist attacks.
"This provided compelling evidence of the Brotherhood’s links with violence and terrorism, evidence that some Western capitals were requesting," he said.
In February, German security official Gordian Meyer-Plath was quoted in media reports as saying the Moslem Brüderbund still wants to apply Sharia law in Germany while gaining control of the nation's mosques.
As of Sunday afternoon, Germany had not made any public comment in response to Abdelatty's remarks.

Colonel Tarek Shanboor said he had obtained bank details and phone records that proved the charities were making payments to criminal gangs who have put hundreds of thousands of migrants colonists into unseaworthy boats ‐ leading to thousands of deaths each year.
His claim will raise concern because there have long been fears that Islamic Lions of Islam could be among the migrants colonists.

Relief and Works Agency for Paleostine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), which aids millions of Paleostinian refugees across the region.
In public remarks to his cabinet at its weekly meeting on Sunday, Netanyahu accused UNRWA of anti-Israeli incitement, which, he said, was rife in institutions, including schools, run by the agency.
"It is time UNRWA be dismantled and merged with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees," the Israeli premier said.
Netanyahu said UNRWA had perpetuated, rather than solved, the Paleostinian refugee problem, adding that he had conveyed his message to Nikki Haley ...first woman to serve as Governor of South Carolina, and the second Indian-American governor in the country, after Bobby Jindal of Louisiana. At the age of 39, Haley is the youngest current governor in the U.S., a distinction formerly held by Jindal. She is a Republican, which really grates on the Dems... , the US ambassador to the United Nations.
Referring to a meeting he held in the occupied Jerusalem al-Quds on Wednesday with Haley, Netanyahu said, "I told her it was time the United Nations re-examine UNRWA's existence."
A 'fantasizing' Bibi
Netanyahu's comments did not go unnoticed in the besieged Gazoo Strip, which has been blockaded by the Israeli regime for nearly ten years now.
Adnan Abu Hasna, a Gazoo-based front man for UNRWA, said the Israeli prime minister was pursuing a "fantasy."
Chris Gunness, UNRWA's chief front man, said only the UN General Assembly, by a majority vote, could change the agency's mandate.
"In December 2016, UNRWA's mandate was extended for three years by the General Assembly by a large majority," he wrote in an email to Rooters.
UNRWA was established by the UN General Assembly in 1949 after thousands of Paleostinians fled or were expelled by Israeli forces from their homes in the 1948 war.
UNRWA is tasked with providing assistance and protection to a population of some five million registered Paleostinian refugees.

As I recall, the General Assembly's votes are advisory, the Security Council's are definitive. If I'm right, the Security Council need only vote to defund or dismantle the UNRWA, so long as there is no veto by one of the five permanent members, and it will be so. Or contrariwise, a single permanent member can veto the next voted extension three years from now, in December, 2019. That is to say, Ambassador Nikki Haley, representing the United States.
It will be pointed out hysterically at that point that -- like the Paris Agreement -- the rest of the world can continue supporting this noble cause without America and the formal backing of the UN, which is perfectly true. But with so many calls on their various public purses, they'll talk big and act small, if at all.
[Rubin Center] Besides the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces operations with U.S. coalition support to capture the Islamic State’s de facto Syrian capital of Raqqa, the other major hot-spot to watch at the moment in Syria is the Syrian desert border area between Iraq and Syria.
