Last year in August, Afghan Taliban ...Arabic for students... Spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said that the group is resolved to target ISIS members.
Afghanistan has long been facing instability due to continued fighting between the government forces and the Taliban, which seized vast territories in the Afghan rural areas. Also, recently the presence of ISIS forces in Afghanistan even though limited to a small area has further added to its problems.

[ALMASDARNEWS] Protesters in Bani Walid rallied on Saturday night calling for Saif al-Islam Qadaffy, a son of former Libyan leader Muammar Qadaffy ...a proud Arab institution for 42 years, now among the dear departed, though not the dearest... , to lead the country.
"We call on the son of Libya Mujahid Saif al-Islam Qadaffy to lead the national movement to resolve the forms in Libya and to get Libya out from civil war," al-Sayan tribe spokesperson Ahmad al-Shalahli said.
British-educated Saif al-Islam is a prominent member of Qadaffy’s remaining family.
After his father’s killing, he attempted to flee to Niger but was captured by a rebel group in November 2011. Saif al-Islam was released in the beginning of June, after spending five years in prison.
Despite his release, he is still on the wanted list by the International Criminal Court for alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity. His current location is unknown.

It sits on some really productive gas and oil deposits, which produces the highest per capita income in the world. They piss it all away on religion, financing the Moslem Brotherhood and several al-Qaeda affiliates... , has started enlisting the help of Hezbollah fighters from Leb to secure his family and his rule, according to a report in Youm7 ("Seventh Day"), an Egyptian newspaper aligned with President Abdel Fattah al-Sissi.
The newspaper cited Qatari opposition sources who claimed that the reason Qatar recently decided to allow the entrance of Lebanese citizens without an entry visa was to legitimize the entry of Hezbollah fighters into the prince’s service, bypassing international restrictions imposed on the terrorist militia.
The newspaper reported that Hezbollah’s fighters are to join Iranian Revolutionary Guard and Turkish forces that are already present in the Qatari capital, Doha.
A member of the Egyptian parliament’s human rights ...which are usually entirely different from personal liberty... committee, Yusri Asyouti, said that the step indicates "that Tamim has lost his head and started to feel the danger hovering over him and so began to import guards to secure the ruling family in light of the growing opposition to Qatar."
Hisham Najar, a researcher of Islamic movements, also referred to the import of Hezbollah fighters to Qatar. He told the newspaper, "Qatar is playing with fire. It’s acting as an organization and not as a state."
Concerning Qatar’s relations with Hezbollah and other myrmidon organizations in Leb, a Saudi news site reported that during 2007, the Qatari charity Id Alt’ani supported and funded the jihadist organization Fatah al-Islam A Syrian-incubated al-Qaeda work-alike that they think can be turned off if no longer needed to keep the Lebanon pot stirred. , a Salafist group that fought in the Paleostinian refugee camp Nahr Albared. The site also noted that documents showed the charity supported Hezbollah institutions as they led the construction of terrorist infrastructure in southern Leb after the last war between Hezbollah and Israel in 2006.
The site said that the Qataris insisted on funneling their aide through Hezbollah and its institutions and not through the Lebanese state as Soddy Arabia ...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. [IsraelTimes] A British politician is reportedly considering cancelling of the largest Paleostinian cultural events in Europe over the organizers’ alleged links to the terrorist groups Hamas, a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth", and Hezbollah.
According to a report in The Guardian, Community Secretary Sajid Javid informed "Friends of al-Aqsa" earlier this month that he was considering their two-day event in London over "concerns that your organization and those connected with it have expressed public support for a proscribed organization, namely Hamas, and that you have supported events at which Hamas and Hezbollah ‐ also proscribed ‐ have been praised."
Javid was expected to make a final decision on the matter on Friday, but his office said the politician was busy attending events in the wake of the Grenfell Tower disaster.
[NY Post] European countries are "paying the price" for their failure to coordinate with each other to stop terror attacks, former NYPD Commissioner Ray Kelly said on Sunday.
Kelly called the attacks "the new normal in Europe now" during an interview on "The Cat’s Roundtable" on AM 970 radio.
"They don’t communicate with each other on the level that they should," he said. "They are paying the price for that."
Kelly said many European nations remain hostile toward one another due to historical tensions. "They are not willing to give up information about sources and methods to other countries in the European Union," he said.

[AnNahar] Tattooed and wearing a black t-shirt emblazoned with a wolf paw, Patrick Beaudry admits being in the second year of a political movement "that is perhaps more radical" than others.
La Meute, a far-right group in Quebec of which he is a founder, does not promote bully boy or racist views, he insists, while confessing a liking for the French National Front of Marine Le Pen.
His motivation, however, is unequivocal.
"Our fight is with radical Islam," Beaudry told AFP.
La Meute is not a lone actor in Quebec. Other groups seeking independence or opposing immigration include Soldiers of Oden and the Federation of Native Quebecers (FQS).
They are all close or affiliated to the far-right. Engaged by issues such as secularism or the veiling of Moslem women, they are no longer shy to speak out to try and influence political debate.
"What I hear from the National Front charms me," says Beaudry, who also agrees with the position of the FQS, which welcomed Le Pen's recent visit to Quebec, which proved fertile ground.
About 20 percent of expatriates in the province voted for Le Pen in French presidential elections in April -- twice the rate of support of French citizens residing throughout Canada.
Membership of groups such as La Meute -- some of which are interlaced and affiliated with international organizations -- range from a few dozen to thousands. Most are held together by the charisma of their leader.
"A group can disappear overnight because of an internal schism or a decision by its members to self-dissolve or go underground," said Aurelie Campana, a far-right specialist in Canada.
But the movements are undoubtedly coming out of the woodwork.
- Refugee tensions -
"Until very recently, these extreme right-wing groups refused to be part of political debates and public discourse," said the professor at Laval University in Quebec City.
"Many associate the extreme right with racism and, to say racist is to be stigmatized. These groups want to seen as legitimate," Campana added.
Tensions, however, have run high.
Last fall, 50 far right sympathizers protested outside the Quebec legislature waving placards that read: "Death to Terrorists, Islam out."
And in March, nearly 200 demonstrated against a motion in Canada's parliament condemning Islamaphobia. The motion was adopted after a shooting rampage at a mosque in Quebec City killed six worshippers.
The far right quickly distanced itself from the action of the young attacker seemingly inspired by their rhetoric who is now in jug awaiting prosecution.

But, like their brethren in Europe, the far-right groups in Canada have taken a firm stand against immigration, seizing on problems arising from Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's welcoming of 40,000 Syrian refugees.
"Extreme right-wing groups in Quebec have a number of objectives," said Maxime Fiset, a former FQS member.
They are "anti-immigrant, ultra-nationalist or neo-fascist," and see secularism as a means to combat radical Islam, he said.
La Meute and its contemporaries hope to make a breakthrough in next year's elections in the French-speaking province where liberals now rule.
Horizon Quebec Actuel, another party affiliated with La Belle France's National Front, contested a by-election in late May in Montreal.
Its campaign posters featured the split image of a young woman wearing a blue bonnet on one side and a black veil (niqab) on the other.
"We ask immigrants colonists to adopt the customs of the people of Quebec, it has nothing to do with racism," said its leader Alexandre Cormier-Denis.

[DAWN] Investigators probing Friday’s assassination on four coppers in the SITE area on Saturday suspected that the snuffies who returned from Syria were involved in the deadly attack on the law enforcers.

It still uses the old name now and then, probably because the stationery's not all used up and the web site hasn't expired yet... Pakistain, had grabbed credit for the killing of the four coppers as the assailant had thrown a pamphlet there. The same outfit had also claimed the responsibility of the assassination'>assassination of a retired army colonel, Tahir Zia Nagi, in Baloch Colony area in April.
He said that this newly established Lion of Islam outfit had declared that they would target law enforcers.
The DIG said as per the CTD’s initial assessment this newly created group appeared to be inspired by the banned Al Qaeda in the Indian Subcontinent (AQIS).
"It [the outfit] has evolved recently and the CTD apprehended that it was formed by some snuffies who had earlier gone to fight in Syria and [had] now returned," said DIG Farooqi.

[Iran Press TV] Iran has blamed a recent rise in US oil production for the plunge in global prices of crude oil.
Yep, we dunnit. And we're going to continue doing it, too.
Iran’s Petroleum Minister Bijan Zanganeh told news hounds on Wednesday that the US had increased its oil production by 900,000 barrels per day. This, he said, was way beyond what the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) had estimated.
Zanganeh said he was already discussing the role of high US oil production in the decline of prices. However, a poor excuse is better than no excuse at all... he said it would be difficult to prepare the member states for any collective action on such issues.
The Iranian minister further spoke highly of OPEC’s performance in arriving at a consensus to cut output and help prop up prices.
He said the output cut plan was just to show its effects, adding that it was still too soon to judge its effectiveness.
OPEC in a meeting in May agreed to extend until March 2018 an oil output cut deal that was sealed last year to help shore up prices.
The cuts would lower the collective production of producers by 1.8 million barrels per day (mb/d).
A dozen non-members led by top oil producer Russia, which reduced output in tandem with OPEC, would also join the scheme.
OPEC members Nigeria and Libya would still be excluded from cuts as their output remained curbed by unrest.

The large majority of Ramadan violence victims are Muslims.
At the end of Ramadan on Saturday, the total number of casualties across the world for the entire holy month had reached 3,451 (1,627 murders and 1,824 injuries), more than tripling the 1,150 (421 deaths and 729 injuries) that took place in 2016, considered the deadliest holy month in recent memory.
The 1,627 fatalities this year nearly quadrupled the estimated 421 deaths last year. There were an estimated 160 terror incidents in nearly thirty predominantly Muslim countries during Ramadan 2017. [Breitbart] Administration officials have eliminated 2016 plans to fund Islamic groups allied to former President Barack Obama teachable moment... , and declined to schedule a 2017 Islamic ’Iftar’ dinner where those groups were able to show their political influence to the ambassadors of wealthy Islamic countries.
The turnaround was made public on Friday when the Department of Homeland Security announced a revised list of the organizations which are getting DHS funds to help revent young Moslems from becoming jihadis. The new list replaced an Obama list announced January 13, 2017, and it dropped a $800,000 grant for an Islamic seminary in Los Angeles, and a $393,000 grant for a linked organization, the Moslem Public Affairs Council Foundation.
