History Is Repeating Itself, Tragedy or Farce Unclear So Far
[American Thinker] In my younger years, studying world and American history in school, I used to wonder how people of those past times could have been so stupid. How could people actually believe that Hitler was a righteous man? How could they be convinced that Jews were evil and Nazism was good? Germans and Japanese at that time must have been crazy.

Didn’t Americans understand that a civil war between states could lead to incredible bloodshed? How could people who shared the same heritage and culture go at each other’s throats so readily? It seemed like fantasy to me. People must have been completely different back then, much more gullible and ignorant.

How could it have been possible for Josef Stalin to starve tens of millions of Ukrainians to death with no resistance? How could Mao, as leader of the world’s largest population, starve to death tens of millions of his own people without opposition? It seemed impossible, almost like fiction.

After 65 years of my existence, I now realize that people have not changed. The ignorance of man is not a fantasy, it is real and enduring.

It is a different world, yet the same. We are the same human race that killed six million Jews under the Nazis, slaughtered 620,000 Americans in the Civil War, and murdered tens of millions of Ukrainian and Chinese citizens under Communism.

In our modern, so sophisticated Western world, we welcome the conquerors and assassins of an ancient culture into our society, where they can continue conquering and slaying us with our complete cooperation.

We welcome laws suppressing our freedom to speak, to own property, to operate a small business, and to defend ourselves. We actively oppose the Constitution that brought us where we are today.

#2  Imagine a Civil War where blue fought red, but only when red came to blue states because blue was terrified to go to red states where the people were armed and the government didn't put with that crap. Oh, and also dark blue fought with light blue in those blue states.

It'll be a short civil war and it'll turn the slightly red country far redder the longer it progresses.

#3  P2K, Most likely, a hell of a lot better off.

In keeping with the Rochester study posted yesterday, I'm trying to swear more as it is a sign of intelligence. I'm also running around at home naked. I'm going for that smart glasses Lenscrafter look also. I'm trying to avoid the mirror as there is this droopiness and I look like a naked dumbass with glasses who mutters to himself.

#4  The Holocaust. Stalin's USSR purges. Mao's Great Leap Forward. All have at least this in common: the victims did not fight back while their persecutors murdered them.

And the Author is comparing THOSE to the American Civil War, where BOTH sides fought? Certainly he points out oppressions and abuses that were made possible by leftists/demoncrats in positions of Authority that took advantage of our high regard for the Rule of Law, but that's not the same thing as being dragged out of our homes to be shipped in cattle cars to the death camps. Their current fury revolves around the loss of the veneer of Constitutional Authority conferred by the Presidency, that Trump now holds. The charade of impeachment is a fig leaf to try to make his removal appear constitutional and not trigger the Second Civil War.

Far from scaring me, I suddenly have realized that WE WILL FIGHT. These fools, capable of swallowing the falsehood that Venezuela is NOW a Worker's Paradise, and that Americans are like German Jews, Russian Kulaks, and Confucian Chinese.

Stupid thought: those who laugh at the concept of American Exceptionalism are gonna whine and complain when Americans start acting different from their Old World counterparts.

#6  Those who are trying to arrange another civil war will fail. Attempts at gun control have failed for the most part. The State does not grant all of our rights. The elites who foster such chaos, unrest, and destruction will not be immune.

Arabia
Qatar and Iran are now united
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] We are now playing with open cards. Qatar
...an emirate on the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It sits on some really productive gas and oil deposits, which produces the highest per capita income in the world. They piss it all away on religion, financing the Moslem Brotherhood and several al-Qaeda affiliates...
and Iran have united in every place where they funded warring groups.

When Qatar supported al-Qaeda and al-Nusra
...formally Jabhat an-Nusrah li-Ahli al-Sham (Support Front for the People of the Levant), also known as al-Qaeda in the Levant. They aim to establish a pan-Arab caliphate. Not the same one as the Islamic State, though .. ...
Front in Syria, they actually fought popular Syrian factions more than they fought the Syrian regime. Meanwhile,
...back at the shootout, Butch clutched at his other leg......
Iran also supported Hezbollah and Shiite militias in Syria to fight popular Syrian units. Qatar and Iran are thus united in Syria and are not rivals.

Qatar supported al-Qaeda in Yemen
...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of. Except for a tiny handfull of Jews everthing there is very Islamic...
while Iran supported the Houthis. Both fought legitimacy there and did not fight against each other. Doha and Tehran are therefore also united in Yemen.

What unites Qatar and Iran is not just the northern oil field. What they also have in common is their rivalry toward Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
and Arab Gulf countries and their desire to topple governance there and dismantle the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).

Qatar and Iran are partners, and the bonds between them are stronger than bonds between Qatar and Gulf countries. Iran and Qatar fund the most dangerous project in the Middle East with the aim to topple its countries.

Qatar donated money to fund Sunni terrorist groups and Iran donated money to fund Shiite terrorist groups. Both pushed these groups to fight in Arab countries and to undermine the bases of the Arab state.

Funding exposed
Now that this funding is exposed, they will unite in publicly funding and supporting the most foolish Arab groups, whether Sunni ones or Shiite, in support of Iran’s and the Moslem Brüderbund’s supreme guides.

Can you imagine the irony! Can you imagine those funding al-Nusra embracing the funder of Hezbollah? Can you imagine al-Qaeda’s funder and the funder of the Houthis announcing the close ties between them?

The most important question is how will the Qatari government impose a reality which it is not easy to subjugate people to? The Qatari people may have their own opinion about certain affairs and in this case we wonder what will their opinion be about normalizing relations with Iran?

Even if the relations of the Qatari regime ‐ as governed by Hamad bin Khalifa and Hamad bin Jassim ‐ with Iran are very normal, it seems impossible for the Qatari people to establish relations with the Iranians at the expense of their Gulf brothers.

This is not chauvinism or sectarian or ethnic intolerance but simply about blood relations which are irrelevant to politics. Removing the Qatari people from their ordinary family and convincing them that their Iranian step father is better than their Gulf father will be impossible.

Even if Doha’s relations with Tehran are normal, Qatar’s relations with the GCC will be impossible under the governance of Hamad bin Khalifa and Hamad bin Jassim. Qatar’s rivalry and hostility is deep especially considering it has agreed to be used as a Trojan horse by Iran to storm the GCC’s fort ‐ something that no one in the Gulf will accept.

The Russia story hits another dead end
[Powerline] The New York Times headlines: “Felix Sater, Trump Associate, Boasted That Moscow Business Deal ‘Will Get Donald Elected.’” Sounds exciting, right? But the story fizzles rapidly.

Felix Sater was a real estate broker who didn’t work for the Trump organization. (Hence the weaselly “Trump associate” headline.) He has, to say the least, a colorful history. But what is the story? Sater sent a couple of emails to Michael Cohen, who did work for the Trump organization as a lawyer. Sater, a Russian immigrant, enthusiastically promoted the idea of a Trump property in Moscow, which he claimed he could deliver. The Times likes this portion of a Sater email, dated November 3, 2015:

Micheal we can own this story. Donald doesn’t stare down, he negotiates and understands the economic issues and Putin only want to deal with a pragmatic leader, and a successful business man is a good candidate for someone who knows how to negotiate. “Business, politics, whatever it is all the same for someone who knows how to deal”

And this:

Our boy can become president of the USA and we can engineer it. I will get all of Putins team to buy in on this, I will manage this process.

The Times says there is no indication that Cohen even replied to Sater’s emails. In any event, the Moscow project was investigated briefly and, the Times says, dropped. The Trump organization has properties in 11 countries, and Russia isn’t one of them. So the story is what? A Russian immigrant who didn’t work for Trump had a vision of making Donald Trump look good (and making himself a lot of money) via a business deal with the Russians, which Trump’s people never followed up on. It’s like a joke with no punch line.

Dennis Prager: Those Who Don't Fight Evil Fight Statues
h/t Instapundit
All my life, I have known this rule about people: Those who don't fight the greatest evils will fight lesser evils or make-believe evils.

This happens to be the morally defining characteristic of the left. During the Cold War, many liberals and nearly all conservatives fought communism, but the left fought anti-communism. The left opposed American military buildups and regarded the Cold War between America and the Soviet Union as nothing more than two scorpions in a bottle fighting to the death. They loathed Presidents Nixon and Reagan, not Communist Party Secretary-General Brezhnev.

...With regard to fighting communism -- which, aside from Nazism, has been the greatest evil in the modern world (it killed and enslaved far more people than Nazism) -- the left was an obstacle, not an ally. The left in the West and elsewhere did far more to enable communist evil than to stop it.

The same holds true with regard to the greatest evil in the world at this time: totalitarian Islam, or Islamism. The left is doing precisely what it did during the war against communism: It's fighting the anti-Islamists, not the Islamists. Just as it labeled anti-communists "cold warriors" and other derisive epithets, the left labels those fighting Islamism as "Islamophobes" and, of course, "racists." In the moral order as perceived by the left, it is the anti-Islamists who are the enemy of the good.

In this battle, the left fights American conservatives -- and Israel, the country in the front line against Islamism. In a nutshell, rather than fighting evil, the left fights those who fight evil.

Therefore, if you have moral clarity, you are not on the left. If you have moral clarity, you can be a liberal, a conservative, a centrist, an atheist, a believer, a Christian, a Jew, a Muslim, a Buddhist, a Hindu, a black, a white, a Latino, an Asian, a Native American, a gay, a straight or a bisexual. But you cannot be a leftist.

CNN Quickly Scrubs Title Of Antifa Puff Peace
[Oathkeepers] How did we reach a point in our society, where groups like Antifa think nothing of wreaking havoc on the streets on a regular basis? These people routinely beat those they disagree with, cause property damage, and shut down dissent without a single iota of shame. You have to ask yourself, how did this group and others like it, get so bold as to think that they can flippantly disregard the law and openly riot in the streets?

The answer is that the media is responsible for this mess. It’s the media that has repeatedly ignored, apologized for, and even celebrated their actions. How else would these thugs have come to the conclusion that what they’re doing is okay? They’re constantly being lionized by our morally bankrupt media.

CNN made that perfectly clear last week. They published a piece that was highly sympathetic to Antifa titled “Unmasking the Leftist Antifa Movement: Activists Seek Peace Through Violence.”

#1  Activists Seek Peace Through Violence

Give them the peace they seek.

To die, to sleep—
No more—and by a sleep to say we end
The heartache and the thousand natural shocks
That flesh is heir to—’tis a consummation
Devoutly to be wished! To die, to sleep.
To sleep, perchance to dream—ay, there’s the rub,
For in that sleep of death what dreams may come
When we have shuffled off this mortal coil,
Must give us pause. There’s the respect
That makes calamity of so long life.

Antifa Terrorists Planning ‘Civil War' And ‘Overturn' Government On Nov 4
[PacificPundit] With left wing terrorist group AntFA funded by Nazi George Soros, the beatings of people has gone unreported and excused by the corrupt media. On November 4th of this year, the terrorist group AntiFA is planning a "civil war" and an "overturn" of government. AntiFA terrorists will team up with the The Revolutionary Communist Party and other far left terrorist organizations to instigate what they call civil war in November.

The Revolutionary Communist Party, Antifa, and god knows who else are planning massive rallies to "end the Fascist regime". According to one website at revcom.us, people are living in terror. This allegedly includes immigrants [illegal], Latinos, Blacks, LGBTQ, Muslims, refugees, the poor, the unhealthy who can’t get healthcare, the whole world, the whole planet, and so on.

The "nightmare must end", they say. They are the ones who hand out all the ’No!’ signs you see, which were alleged to be the brainchild of domestic terrorist Bill Ayers.

These violent leftists are taking to the streets in New York City, Austin, Chicago, Los Angeles and San Francisco o November 4.

One of their lunatic members, Andy Zee, wrote of violence being acceptable as do the AntiFa:

"There is a break with what have been the norms we confront, and to deal with this there must be a break with the "normal" ways people seek change from government. The normal forms of petition and protest DO NOT APPLY with Trump--even as they have been difficult enough under the normal functioning of this system," writes Zee.

"Sharp agitation" and "politically provocative actions" must be employed to achieve the complete overthrow of the administration, according to Zee.

Zee cites The Coming Civil War by Bob Avakian, "the Chairman of the Revolutionary Communist Party and architect of the new synthesis of communism," as a template for the planned unrest.
You'd think they would choose a better cause to die for.

#1  Well Austin is full of leftists but its kind of like a roach motel, they'll be able to get in, but its doubtful they'll be able to get out. Nov. 4 is looking to be a double popcorn day for Texas.

#2  Your'll note that the cities listed are extremely blue. They don't dare show themselves to someplace even a little read - might get spanked and sent home to their mother.

With any luck they will piss enough people off in those cities to turn them a little more red.

#5  If they try, they will fail.

But I predict lots of mayhem, violence and a few deaths.

Those deaths will be blamed on the right and racists, but will come from the left. It is planned to happen this way and the media in its communist compliance will harp away all day that it is Trump's fault.

This is the battlespace that was prepped by the left during the campaign and this is the way they will conduct their coup.

#8  Most states already have laws about riots, assault, battery, arson, littering & generally being a public nuisance. Police need to make arrests & prosecutor to carry out the legal process. That's not likely to happen with Antifa, which seems to be coated with Teflon.

#9  Yep. And this time, it won't be in response to anything - they'll just be doing what they do. This should be the albatross to hang around the neck of all those who jumped on their bandwagon out of a combination of ignorance and cowardice following the events in Charlottesville.

#10  An expansion on Rex Mundi's point:

Enjoy your Antifa protests, because it's going to get awkward soon

You see, there are quite a number of Democratic senators in Congress who are up for re-election next year. Our very own U.S. senator Bob Casey is considered vulnerable being located in a state that voted for President Trump. One of the most vulnerable Democratic senators in Congress is Missouri senator Claire McCaskill. Her state voted for Donald Trump by 57% to Hillary Clinton’s 38%. She has to desperately look as moderate as possible, her Republican attackers will put up ads “Clare’s people think every last one of you is a racist Nazi,” and pair photos of her in ballrooms with Nancy Pelosi set to dramatic music. See how this works?

This obviously has Democratic strategists in a pickle.

It’s very obvious what next year will be like. The worst footage from protest demonstrations will be put on display in campaign advertising and all the claims that Democratic pundits and authors have made claiming America is festooned with 64 million gas-chamber-murdering Nazis. Everyone who voted for Donald Trump is a Nazi. They’re all Nazis. Every fucking last one of them is a motherfucking Nazi.

There are few Republicans up for re-election in 2018 who are really vulnerable. Those 64 million Trump voters still have access to ballot machines and they can still vote. Calling every Trump voter a Nazi, as so many of you have done, is not going to be forgotten. That projection is going to come back to haunt people. It terrifies people who actually do politics as part of their career; namely pundits, campaign strategists and party officials. . . . You don’t need any more embarrassing YouTube video clips of AntiFa protestors chanting “NO USA AT ALL“.
