-Lurid Crime Tales-
It's time to appoint a special prosecutor in Clinton email investigation
[The Hill] The competing partisan echo chambers eerily strike the same chords.

From the left: The investigation into the death of four Americans in Benghazi back in 2012 was a Sienfeldian investigation into nothing. In fact, the right was simply serving us all up a big nothing burger.

And from the right: The investigation into the 2016 Trump campaign’s alleged collusion with Russia is nothing more than a partisan witch-hunt. The left hasn’t accepted the results of a lawfully held election; ergo, the appointment of a special prosecutor.

Yes, the partisan bickering and finger-pointing can be so insufferably exhausting. The promises of "swamp-draining" ‐ Nancy Pelosi during her 2006 ascendancy to House Speaker and more recently, Donald Trump’s signature stump speech line ‐ really just signals more of the same.

So, I make the following demand with a bit of advised caution. History inside the Beltway has a habit of repeating itself.

But with all due haste, a special prosecutor needs to be appointed to the "closed" Hillary Rodham email investigation.

I can hear the cacophony of howling now ‐ Here we go again, yet another undeserved attack on the Clintons. Or, maybe this ‐ Republicans just can’t leave it alone. She was exonerated by no less an authority than the former FBI Director!

But in recent days, following the revelation that then FBI Director James B. Comey had already drafted an "exoneration speech" some two months before his infamous July 5 public statement, there has been a steadily building hue and cry from many corners that a special prosecutor needs to look into the case.

Comey’s decision, it appears, had been formed prior to FBI agents having had an opportunity to interview Clinton and a number of her top aides. On the heels of the inexplicable and unprecedented granting of head-scratching conditions to the Clinton team, came Comey’s decision not to charge, well before key witnesses were interviewed. Why?

Al Sharpton's daughter Ashley Sharpton arrested after cops say she attacked cab driver
[NYDAILYNEWS] civil rights hustler Al Sharpton
...Tawana Brawley's spiritual advisor...
’s daughter's birthday celebration ended in handcuffs early Saturday after she accosted a cabbie in Midtown, according to police sources.

Ashley Sharpton, who turned 30 Friday, is facing charges of petty larceny and criminal possession of stolen property after she allegedly grabbed the keys from a cabbie on W. 48th and Ninth Ave., then shoved and punched the cab driver when he demanded them back.

"She told me it didn't happen the way they said it happened but I can't speak for a 30-year-old woman," Al Sharpton told the Daily News Saturday morning.

But hours later, during his weekly National Action Network rally at the group’s Harlem headquarters, Rev. Sharpton claimed she was targeted by police because she’s his daughter.

"All I know is that you got four people in a cab, and there's some altercation, and they find out two hours later one of them is Al Sharpton's daughter, she's the one that's going to the precinct," the firebrand
...firebrands are noted more for audio volume and the quantity of spittle generated than for any actual logic in their arguments...

#1  She should be made to pay for the entire cab downtime caused by the loss of the taxi keys,

What was it 12 hours? 16 hours? 4 hours?

She won't be charged for assault (shoving taxi driver) because the taxi driver was not hurt? Try shoving a police officer and see what you can get away with.

-Short Attention Span Theater-
Strip club boss, Tamron Hall, Rev. Jackson pulled into Jackson divorce
[CHICAGO.SUNTIMES] Television news hound Tamron Hall, the Rev. Jesse Jackson, a strip-club boss and a model whom Jesse Jackson Jr. has acknowledged was a "social acquaintance" ‐ are among 12 people Sandi Jackson is seeking to make part of her intensifying divorce case in Washington, D.C., new court filings show.

The filings mark the latest salvo in the high-profile case, which had been simmering down after Jesse Jackson Jr., the former South Side and south suburban congressman, and Sandi Jackson, reliably Democrat Chicago, aka The Windy City or Mobtown
... home of Al Capone, a succession of Daleys, Barak Obama, and Rahm Emmanuel,...
’s former 7th Ward alderman, had agreed to litigate the matter in Washington, where Sandi Jackson lives with the couple’s two children, rather than in Chicago, where the former congressman is living.

In late April, the pair ‐ who each served prison time for diverting $750,000 in political campaign contributions for their personal use ‐ had agreed to mediate their divorce case to avoid a potentially sensational trial where allegations of "extramarital affairs" could be publicly detailed, according to court records.

Hillary admits she had no concession speech ready
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha *deep breath* ahahahahhahahahh
Hillary Clinton was so confident she'd become the first female president of the United States that she only drafted a victory speech for Election Day and said after the stunning loss to Donald Trump she's "done with being a candidate."

"I am done with being a candidate," Clinton told CBS' "Sunday Morning." "But I am not done with politics because I literally believe that our country's future is at stake."

"I had not drafted a concession speech. I'd been working on a victory speech," Clinton said.

She retreated and hoped this nightmare scenario would pass: "I just kind of went in the bedroom had three 8 oz glasses of vodka, laid down on the bed, just thought, ‘Okay. I just have to wait this out.' But then, midnight, I decided, ‘well - you know, looks like it's not going to work.'"

#10  Antisocial Personality Disorder (APD)
Symptoms By Steve Bressert, Ph.D.

Antisocial personality disorder is a disorder that is characterized by a long-standing pattern of disregard for other people’s rights, often crossing the line and violating those rights. A person with antisocial personality disorder (APD) often feels little or no empathy toward other people, and doesn’t see the problem in bending or breaking the law for their own needs or wants. The disorder usually begins in childhood or as a teen and continues into a person’s adult life.

Antisocial personality disorder is often referred to as psychopathy or sociopathy in popular culture. However, neither psychopathy nor sociopathy are recognized professional labels used for diagnosis.

Individuals with antisocial personality disorder frequently lack empathy and tend to be callous, cynical, and contemptuous of the feelings, rights, and sufferings of others. They may have an inflated and arrogant self-appraisal (e.g., feel that ordinary work is beneath them or lack a realistic concern about their current problems or their future) and may be excessively opinionated, self-assured, or cocky. They may display a glib, superficial charm and can be quite voluble and verbally facile (e.g., using technical terms or jargon that might impress someone who is unfamiliar with the topic).

Lack of empathy, inflated self-appraisal, and superficial charm are features that have been commonly included in traditional conceptions of psychopathy and may be particularly distinguishing of antisocial personality disorder in prison or forensic settings where criminal, delinquent, or aggressive acts are likely to be nonspecific. These individuals may also be irresponsible and exploitative in their sexual relationships.

A personality disorder is an enduring pattern of inner experience and behavior that deviates from the norm of the individual’s culture. The pattern is seen in two or more of the following areas: cognition; affect; interpersonal functioning; or impulse control. The enduring pattern is inflexible and pervasive across a broad range of personal and social situations. It typically leads to significant distress or impairment in social, professional, or other areas of functioning. The pattern is stable and of long duration, and its onset can be traced back to early adulthood or adolescence.

Texas lawyer says he would ‘be ok’ if Betsy DeVos were sexually assaulted
[WASHINGTONTIMES] A lawyer in Texas who disagrees with the Trump administration’s plan to reform how accusations of sexual assault are adjudicated on campus said he would "be ok" if Education Secretary Betsy DeVos were sexually assaulted.

Rob Ranco, a partner at the Carlson Law Firm, suggested Mrs. DeVos does not fully grasp how serious of a crime rape is, and that she might come to a different policy conclusion if she did.

"I’m not wishing for it... but I’d be ok if #BetsyDevos was sexually assaulted," Mr. Ranco said in a tweet on Friday evening.

"Perhaps Betsy doesn’t understand how horrible rape is," Mr. Ranco said in another tweet. "She’s made the world more dangerous for my daughters. I need her to understand."

"Make the world more dangerous for my daughters ‐ intentionally ‐ and your well being is not my concern," he continued. "Full stop."

Betsy DeVos Ends a Campus Witch Hunt
[NYTIMES] Suppose you’re the kind of thoughtful liberal who concluded from Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States...
’s election that you’ve been living in a bubble and need to better understand the causes of America’s distemper. Suppose, too, that you have friends who voted for Trump ‐ and who you know for a fact are neither bigots nor buffoons.

Why are they so angry? How could they feel so desperate, politically speaking, to cast their ballots for him?

For a sense of the answer, look no further than Education Secretary Betsy DeVos’s announcement Thursday that her department would revisit the B.O. regime’s Title IX guidelines on campus sexual assault. The guidelines, she said, had "failed too many students" by radically curtailing due process. She’s right.

In April 2011, the department’s Office of Civil Rights sent a "Dear Colleague" letter to campus administrators effectively demanding new procedures when it came to handling sexual assault cases. The letter arrived without the usual "notice-and-comment" period that is supposed to precede formal rule making. Instead, as Lara Bazelon notes in Politico, "hundreds of schools were placed under federal investigation for failing to be tougher in handling allegations of campus sexual assault."

Campus administrators got the message. Henceforth, the accused would be judged on a "preponderance of evidence" basis to determine guilt, sometimes known as the "50 percent plus a feather" standard. Accusers would be able to appeal "not guilty" verdicts. Efforts would be made to spare the accuser from being faced with direct cross-examination by the accused.

Michelle Obama outshines all Democratic prospects for 2020
[THEHILL] It cannot be overstated how eagerly the Democrats want to take back the White House in 2020.
Because of her experience as an executive...
The Democrats face many obstacles in this effort, but the greatest threat is the fierce internal divisions within the party.
... and her good taste in clothes...
Two of the leading prospective presidential candidates, Sens. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) and Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), have begun national fundraising operations. Former Vice President Joe Foreign Policy Whiz Kid Biden
The former Senator-for-Life from Delaware, an example of the kind of top-notch Washington intellect to be found in the World's Greatest Deliberative Body...
has been busy building a national email list to communicate directly with his supporters, and Rep. John Delaney (D-Md.) has already announced his presidential candidacy.
... and all she did to provide delicious school lunches to our kids...
The Democratic Party does not just need a new leader, but a new policy agenda that is aimed at growing our economy, promoting traditional party values and doing more than resisting President Trump at every step.
... and she did so much toward getting the nation into its current excellent economic posture...
Major Democratic donor Marc Lasry told The New York Times
...which still proudly displays Walter Duranty's Pulitzer prize...
, "’It’s gotten ridiculous," and the Democrats "need a clearer message about what they want to do, not just about opposing Trump."
... and she knows where the bathrooms are in the White House...
As I’ve said before, the Democrats need an alternative plan to rebuild and unite the party if they have any hope in winning back seats in Congress in the 2018 midterms, nonetheless the White House in 2020.
Other than The Resistance®?
This alternative plan requires a new, united opposition, led by a political leader with widespread popularity.
And who, who might that be?
The only person I can see accomplishing this would be none other than the party’s most popular political figure: Michelle Obama.
Yay. Hurray.
Let me be clear: This is not an endorsement. I have been, and still am, critical of Barack Obama
Because I won...
’s presidency. Michelle Obama would not be my candidate, and I do not agree with many of the positions I believe she would advance. But as an analyst, Michelle Obama is clearly the Democrats’ best chance to reunite the party and win back the White House in 2020.
Because dynastic politix is what America's all about.

UC Berkeley offers counseling ahead of talk by Jewish conservative
[IsraelTimes] Ben Shapiro calls school's offer, in letter outlining heightened security measures over speech, 'total insanity'

The University of Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, at Berkeley sent out a letter on Thursday informing students, faculty and staff that counseling services would be made available ahead of a talk at the campus next week by a conservative Jewish commentator.

In the letter, which outlines preparations being taken by the school ahead of Ben Shapiro’s visit, the executive vice chancellor and provost of the university Paul Alivisatos wrote that the school is "deeply concerned about the impact some speakers may have on individuals’ sense of safety and belonging" and therefore "offered and encouraged" faculty and staff to take advantage of the support services offered by the school.

"No one should be made to feel threatened or harassed simply because of who they are or for what they believe," he wrote in the letter, which included links to services such as mental health counseling provided by the school.

The letter also detailed the extensive security measures being taken ahead of Shapiro’s talk after previous scheduled appearances at the university by conservative figures were met with violent protests.

A spokesperson for the school said that the provision of counseling services was not only for Shapiro’s appearance but also for "conservative students who have told us they are worried not about the speakers headed our way but, rather, by the possibility that members of the Antifa
...the armed wing of the Democratic Party...
paramilitary group will return to the campus," in reference to the far-left, anti-fascist
...anybody not a leftist...
movement.

"I can assure you that if, in the future, we hear concerns in advance of ANY other speaker coming our way, we will issue a similar communication," the spokesperson told Newsweek.

The spokesperson also said that while the school is not aware of anything Shapiro may say that would lead students to feel threatened, there are guest speakers who use "provocative rhetoric" in order to cause "discomfort and concern."

In response, Shapiro tweeted that the offer of counseling services was "total insanity."

Shapiro, a conservative commentator and Orthodox Jew who now is editor-in-chief of The Daily Wire, was previously an editor at Breitbart News, where he worked under former top aide to US President Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States...
, Steve Bannon.

Despite working under Bannon, Shapiro was in the camp of anti-Trump Republicans and reportedly left Breitbart after the website did not support a news hound who alleged to have been assaulted by former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandoswki.

Earlier this year, UC Berkeley cancelled a talk at the school by the polarizing former Breitbart editor Milo Yiannopoulos out of safety concerns after protesters hurled smoke bombs, broke windows and started a bonfire, leading to widespread property damage.

Conservative pundit Ann Coulter later canceled a planned speech at the university amid concerns of the potential for violence.

The city of Berkeley has been at the center of violent festivities since the beginning of the year between far-right and far-left demonstrators.

Last month, black-clad anarchists stormed into what had been a largely peaceful Berkeley protest against hate and attacked at least five people, including the leader of a politically conservative group who canceled an event a day earlier in the Socialist paradise of San Francisco
...where God struck dead Anton LaVey, home of the Sydney Ducks, ruled by Vigilance Committee from 1859 through 1867, reliably and volubly Democrat since 1964...
amid fears of violence.

The violence at the most recent Berkeley rally came shortly after the deadly white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, last month in which a woman was killed after a man with alleged Nazi sympathies plowed a car into a group of people protesting the rally, which attracted neo-Nazis, white nationalists and white supremacists under a "Unite the Right" banner.
