Attahullah Khogyani, front man for the provincial governor, said the two killed were intelligence service members and one was director of the Jalalabad intelligence department.
The attack began when a rocket was fired toward a private TV station in Jalalabad, and when security arrived at the scene a blast took place followed later by a third kaboom, said Khogyani.
The maimed include five police, two members of the intelligence service and three civilians.
An Islamic State group affiliate grabbed credit for the attack on a local TV and radio station in Jalalabad in a statement that was also posted on its Aamaq news agency website.
"Fighters of the Islamic State targeted with a rocket the building of Inekas radio station in Jalalabad city" the statement said.

In eastern Pashtun-infested Logar province, unknown button men shot and killed two people including a tribal elder, said Salim Saleh, front man for the provincial governor. The attack took place Friday evening in the Mohammad Agha district of Pashtun-infested Logar, he said.
He said both ware targeted as they exited a mosque and the attackers were able to flee.

[DAWN] At least 13 people were killed and more than 50 maimed in a dual suicide kaboom at a busy morning market in northeast Nigeria ... a particularly crimson stretch of Islam's bloody border... on Saturday, local sources said.
The attacks occurred in the town of Biu, about 185 kilometres (115 miles) south of the Borno State capital, Maiduguri, which has been at the epicentre of Boko Haram ... not to be confused with Procol Harum, Harum Scarum, possibly to be confused with Helter Skelter. The Nigerian version of al-Qaeda and the Taliban rolled together and flavored with a smigeon of distinctly Subsaharan ignorance and brutality... 's insurgency.

"One of the bombers detonated an improvised bomb (IED) strapped to her body within Biu's main market, while the other one detonated outside the market square," the front man said.
The police said 13 people were killed, while a front man for a local civilian militia Ibrahim Saidu Maniya said the corpse count was as high as 18.
No one has grabbed credit for the attack, but the Boko Haram group, led by Abubakar Shekau ... the lunatic leader of Boko Haram who has been reported dead at least eleven times, pledged his body and soul to ISIS, told his fighters to hang it up once or twice, and been fired by the Caliph and refused to step down ... , has previously used women and adolescent suicide bombers to carry out attacks in the area.
"They were powerful blasts which were heard all over the town," Biu resident Ahmad Babagana, who lost a friend in the attack, told AFP.
"I heard huge blasts that came in succession and saw plumes of black smoke coming from the direction of the market," said another resident, Zakari Tiko. "I instantly knew the market had been attacked," Tiko said.
Biu and neighbouring villages have been repeatedly hit by suicide and kabooms blamed on Boko Haram over the last eight years. In August 2015, a suicide bomber killed at least 50 people at a market in a nearby village.

- Saleh called upon the soldiers and officers who were excluded to return to their camps, in a clear message for escalation and confronting the Houthis.
- In a televised speech broadcast by al-Masirah channel, al-Houthi described the events in Sanaa as a coup and a betrayal.
- Every two or three hours, confrontations against Houthi militia resume in the neighborhoods controlled by Saleh and his followers in the political district and Al Jazaer-Algeria neighborhood.
- The festivities extend to other neighborhoods in the direction of Saleh’s house west of the Kamim market.
- Four hours ago, Saleh’s followers took control of a Houthi headquarter in the political district near Ibn Majid school.
- Since 1 am on Saturday, festivities between the followers of Saleh and al-Houthi have spread to important neighborhoods and they are still ongoing.
- The Houthis stationed four tanks in the streets to intimidate the people in Sanaa, and one of the tanks was headed to the political district but could not enter.
- The general situation in Sanaa is tragic amid fears of a war.
- The majority of the rescue guard and the military police rejected the orders of the Houthi leaders.
- Tribes began to move to bolster the position of Saleh and took control of the South Sanaa gate.
- The slogan of the marches is: ’No more Houthis after today.’
- A front man for al-Houthi militias said that killing former president Ali Abdullah Saleh is now justified
- Three Houthi leaders have been killed since yesterday, in addition to dozens of deaths of individuals. These Houthi leaders are Hamza Yahya al-Mukhtar, Ali Khraim and Abdullah bin Salem Sharif.

The coalition said it is determined that it has maintained its position on all Yemeni ground.
The coalition also said that it recognizes the noble members of the the Yemeni General People’s Congress (GPC), the GPC’s leadership and the Yemeni people who were forced to remain under Houthi-Iranian control.
Also, the coalition recognizes that these noble individuals have endured numerous murder threats, torture, bombings and seizure of public and private property.
Similarly, the coalition noted that their brothers in the alliance towards restoring legitimacy in Yemen ...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of. Except for a tiny handfull of Jews everthing there is very Islamic... was keen that the restoration of their initiative and their allegiance to the Yemeni people ‐ and the Yemeni people’s stand in the circumstances ‐ would rid Yemen of the Iranian sectarian terrorist militia's evils.

Saleh called for a joint ceasefire to be agreed on by his loyalists and the Houthi militia, after festivities entered their fourth day and hae resulted in the deaths of at least 80 people.
"The people have revolted against Houthi aggression," he said.
Saleh urged an end to "militia rule on Yemeni land," adding that Houthis had continued their "provactive acts against Yemeni citizens."
He also demanded that armed Yemeni forces refrain from taking any orders from the Houthi militia, and called for "opening a new page with neighboring countries."
Earlier, Saleh's General People's Congress (GPC) party, accused the Houthis of failing to honor the truce and said in a statement on its website that the Houthis bear responsibility for dragging the country into a civil war.
It also called on supporters, including tribal fighters, to "defend themselves, their country, their revolution and their republic..."
The GPC appealed to the army and security forces to remain neutral in the conflict.
The Houthis' Ansarullah group, in a statement issued on its Twitter account, described the festivities as "regrettable."
"It is happening in coordination with it," referring to the Saudi-led coalition.
The fighting began on Wednesday when Saleh's GPC party accused the Houthis of breaking into the city's main mosque complex and firing RPGs and grenades.

Al-Arabiya correspondent reported that the militia tried to carry out the attack this morning by firing mortars and Katyusha rockets at Saudi military posts and trying to advance on the border between Soddy Arabia ...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face... and Yemen ...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of. Except for a tiny handfull of Jews everthing there is very Islamic... and to target new military points.
The joint Saudi forces, through artillery and Apache helicopters, were able to target several factions that tried to support these militias, while direct fire was exchanged between a number of militias and Saudi forces, supported by coalition aircraft targeting military vehicles and support for militias from within.
Dozens of vehicles and military vehicles had carried militias to the Saudi-Yemeni border.

A group of some 20 African migrants blocked a local highway in southern Italy with heavy appliances to protest the quality of food and living conditions in their migrant welcome center.
Over a Thousand African Migrants Arrive in Italy Wednesday

Eleven rescue operations coordinated by the Italian Coast Guard brought some 1,100 African migrants to Italy Wednesday, including one woman who gave birth in a rubber boat.

Three holy warriors dressed in burqas stormed the ATI hostel situated near Peshawar's University Road, killing nine people and injuring 37 others.
The attack was claimed by the Tehrik-e-Taliban ...the Pashtun equivalent of men... Pakistain. Both police and military officials said the attackers had been coordinating with handlers based in Afghanistan.
The ATI today released a list of eight students and staff member who bit the dust in the attack. They were identified as: Bilal Ahmad, Amin Jan, Sarzamin, Muhammad Wasim, Abdus Sadiq, Qasim Ali Shah, Bilal Khairul Bashar, Bilal Mohammad Arif and Malik Abdul Waheed.
The list reveals that most of the slain students belonged to far-flung areas of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Fata and remained in the hostel despite it being a holiday on Friday.
The province mourned the deaths of the students and staff member, as the slain victims were laid to rest today. The funeral of the watchman, Hameed, was held in Peshawar’s Budni area and was attended by a large number of people.

The other five are: Babu alias Nishachand Ali, Hafiz Abdul, Pawan Puri, Arun Jain, and Kabil. All of them were in touch with an LeT commander based in Pakistain.
The Rajasthan ATS arrested them following alerts from central intelligence agencies, which had intercepted telephone conversations between the LeT men and the Lashkar commander in Pakistain in 2010.

An NIA team arrested the youth leader named Dhannu Raja, 23, from Patna, and an official close to the development said Raja was suspected of being in constant touch with a few LeT terrorists.
“He was arrested for his involvement in harbouring, providing logistics and other assistance to Shaikh Abdul Naeem, an LeT operative,” said the NIA official. Naeem, 37, was arrested from Lucknow on Tuesday and is being called ‘Headley-II’ for his reconnaissance skills. He is also skilled in planning terror attacks. Pakistani-American David Coleman Headley, who conspired with the LeT in plotting the 2008 Mumbai attack, is currently in jail in the US.
“Raja is a local student leader from Gopalganj, Bihar. He was arrested in Patna on December 1 and was produced before the NIA Special Court in Patna. It granted his transit remand till December 5,” the official said. Raja has been brought to New Delhi and will be produced before NIA Special Court here on or before December 5, the official added. The official also said that Raja was earlier associated with the Congress student wing, National Students Union of India.

[IsraelTimes] Network affiliated with Hezbollah cites Russian sources in claiming Pantsir-S1 air defense system shot down warhead in alleged Israeli strike
A Lebanese news network affiliated with the Hezbollah terror group claimed Israel fired Jericho 1 surface-to-surface missiles to strike a military target in Syria on Friday night, and that one of the missiles was downed by Russian air defense systems.
Al-Mayadeen television, citing unnamed Russian sources, said Israel launched two missiles in the attack. One was reportedly downed by a Russian Pantsir-S1, which had been deployed to neutralize any possible threats to Russian forces operating throughout Syria.
Israel has not commented on the alleged strike in Syria, which multiple Arab media outlets have claimed targeted an Iranian military base near the Syrian city of al-Qiswa, southwest of Damascus.
Some media outlets affiliated with the Assad regime and Hezbollah initially reported that Israeli warplanes targeted an ammunition bunker belonging to the Syrian army. But other media outlets, widely quoted in Hebrew media on Saturday evening, reported that the target was a military base that Iran is building in the area, about 50 kilometers (31 miles) from the Israeli border, and that loud kabooms were heard after the attack.
Some reports said Israel fired five missiles. Syrian state media said its air defenses intercepted at least two Israeli missiles fired at a government "military position" in Damascus province, but that the attack still caused damage.

Israel has long warned that Iran is trying to establish a permanent presence in Syria as part of its efforts to control a land corridor from Iran through to the Mediterranean Sea as it attempts to expand its influence across the Middle East.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said often that Israel will not allow Iran to establish a permanent presence in Syria, and was reported last week to have sent a warning to this effect via a third party to Syrian Hereditary President-for-Life Bashir Pencilneck al-Assad Horror of Homs...
The incident comes amid escalating tensions between Israel and Syria. In November, the Israeli military accused Syria of violating the 1974 ceasefire agreement by "conducting construction work" in the northern part of the Golan Demilitarized Zone. Israel also shot down a reconnaissance drone it believed was operated by Syria.
Hours after the reported strike, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu sent a warning to Iran about troops in Syria.
In a video tweet published Saturday night, Netanyahu said, "I will reiterate the policy of Israel: We will not allow a regime that is determined to destroy the Jewish nation to acquire a nuclear weapon. We will not allow this regime to establish a military presence in Syria, as its declared purpose, for destroying our state."
According to foreign sources, the Jericho 1 missile has been in Israel's arsenal for decades, since the 1960s, but there have so far been no reports of such a missile being used in operational settings.

Rahim Abdul, alias Aman Kabalu, was captured by a joint military and police team in Barangay Kaumpurnah on Tuesday afternoon. Abdul had a P1.3-million bounty on his head at the time of his arrest, according to a military spokesman.
A fragmentation grenade was seized from the suspect, the arresting team said.

The two armored vehicles were taking eight soldiers to a school where they were to counsel students against involvement with illicit drugs. The bomb was concealed in a drainage pipe under the road and exploded between the two vehicles as they passed over it. No soldiers were injured. However, a defense volunteer and a woman selling gasoline at a roadside stall received minor injuries from shrapnel.
