Explosion foiled in Kabul city
[Khaama Press] The Afghan police forces have thwarted a plot by the anti-government armed bandidos gunnies to detonate explosives in a roundabout in Kabul city.

The Kabul Police Commandment officials are saying that the police forces discovered and defused the explosives planted in Arzan Qeemat roundabout in the vicinity of the 12th police district of the city.

Indian security personnel crush Kashmiri man under armoured vehicle in Srinagar
[DAWN] Indian security personnel reportedly drove an armoured vehicle wildly into a crowd of protesters in Srinagar on Friday, slamming into a half-dozen people and crushing one man beneath its wheels, injuring him critically, locals said.

Officials denied the claims and said that the vehicle was surrounded by a crowd of angry young men, some of whom fell beneath the jeep-like car when they tried to pull the soldiers out and lynch them.

"It was a situation created by the crowd. We showed extreme restraint," said Sanjay Sharma, a front man for the paramilitary force involved.

A police officer offered a third version. The vehicle, he said, accidentally strayed into an area crowded with protesters, then struck some people when the driver realised what had happened and tried to get quickly away.

"It was a mistake," said the police officer, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he wasn't authorised to comment.

An AP photographer captured the horror in a series of photographs, though even he couldn't see how everything transpired.

Protesters regularly spill into the streets of Srinagar after Friday prayer services, demanding an end to New Delhi's rule over India-held Kashmire.

The protests were largely peaceful on Friday, with security forces hanging back after the previous week, when over 50 people were maimed in fierce festivities.

"Police and soldiers were standing at a safe distance from the crowd, avoiding confrontation. And then from nowhere this vehicle ran into the crowd," said resident Reyaz Ahmed.

The vehicle rocked back and forth for about 30 seconds when one protester was caught beneath it, finally driving away from the furious crowd.

AJK man injured in cross-LoC firing despite Pak-India commitment on truce agreement
[DAWN] Only three days after the top military officials of Pakistain and India agreed to fully implement the ceasefire agreement of November 2003, Indian troops shot at and injured a man in a border village of Azad Jammu and Kashmire (AJK) on Friday, police said.

Mudassar Iqbal, 25, was targeted near his house in Polas village of Abbaspur sector by an Indian sniper from across the Line of Control (LoC), police official Muhammad Shakil told Dawn.

A bullet hit him in the left foot and he was shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment, Shakil added.

Polas village is located in close proximity of the LoC in Poonch district and has seen many casualties at the hands of Indian troops in the past, as for a considerable time the heavily militarised dividing line has been witnessing an exchange of heavy shelling between the rival troops in a serious breach of the 2003 truce agreement.

Israeli forces fatally shoot Palestinian nurse in anti-occupation rally
[PRESSTV] A young Paleostinian nurse has been killed when Israeli military forces opened fire on a group of protesters taking part in an anti-occupation rally near the border between the besieged Gazoo Strip and occupied territories.

Paleostinian medical sources, speaking on condition of anonymity
... for fear of being murdered...
, said 21-year-old Razan Ashraf al-Najjar was attending to maimed Paleostinian demonstrators east of Khan Yunis, located about 25 kilometers (15 miles) south of Gazoo City, when Israeli troopers fired indiscriminate shots, Arabic-language Paleostine al-Yawm news agency reported.

Najjar was critically maimed as a result, and succumbed to her grave gunshot wounds shortly afterwards.

At least 120 Paleostinians have been killed by Israeli forces since the "Great March of Return" began in Gazoo Strip on March 30. Fourteen children are among the fallen Paleostinians.

About 13,300 Paleostinians also sustained injuries, of whom 300 are in a critical condition.

Palestinians say female medic shot and killed, 100 injured in Gaza fence clashes
[IsraelTimes] Paleostinians fire on IDF vehicle, set off hand grenade and light several fields ablaze with incendiary kites as thousands riot along border

A young Paleostinian woman volunteering as a medic with the Hamas, the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood,-run health ministry in Gazoo was shot and killed by the IDF during a series of violent riots along the Gazoo border on Friday, the ministry said, adding that 100 people were maimed.

The army said it was investigating the report, noting that "thousands of rioters" had gathered at five locations along the border, "burning tires adjacent to the security fence and attempting to damage security infrastructure."

The army said that an IDF vehicle came under fire during the riots and that a Paleostinian who breached the border fence in northern Gazoo planted a grenade that went kaboom!. No Israeli soldiers were maimed.

The army said soldiers were using riot dispersal means against the protesters and live fire in accordance with IDF regulations.

Paleostinians identified the dead woman as Razan al-Najjar, 21. She was shot near Khan Yunis in the south of the territory, health ministry front man Ashraf al-Qudra said, bringing the toll of Gazooks killed by Israeli fire since the end of March to 123, according to a ministry count.

According to Qudra, Najjar was a volunteer with the ministry, wearing the white uniform of a medic when she was shot in the chest.

The ministry said 100 Paleostinians were maimed during the riots, 40 of them from live fire.

The Paleostinian rioters also sent fire kites over the fence on Friday, causing three large blazes in nearby Israeli fields.

The army said some 3,000 people were taking part in the demonstrations in five places.

Firefighters were trying to extinguish the blaze on the Israeli side. Kites carrying incendiary devices have caused massive damage to fields and nature reserves in Israel.

Meanwhile,
...back at the Hubba Hubba Club, Big Shirley was still trying to snatch Nunzio bald-headed. She was already halfway there...
in the West Bank some 122,000 Paleostinians traveled to Jerusalem for Ramadan prayers at the al-Aqsa Mosque on the Temple Mount, the army said, while another 8,200 prayed at the Tomb of the Patriarchs in the West Bank city of Hebron.

This is the third Friday of the holy month of Ramadan and the number of Paleostinians who traveled to the city for Friday afternoon prayers was the largest yet this year, according to army statistics.

"IDF troops are deployed in reinforced numbers and are operating along with the Shin Bet, Civil Administration, Border Police and Israel Police in order to allow the Ramadan prayers, as well defending communities and roads and preserving order and security in the area," the army said.

A senior army official said Thursday he expected major border protests to resume next week, when the Paleostinian mark Naksa Day ‐ the June 5 commemoration by Paleostinians of Israel’s victory in the Six Day War. However,
a poor excuse is better than no excuse at all...
he estimated that they would be smaller than those on May 14 and 15, after the opening of the US Embassy in Jerusalem.

Operations were conducted out of Egypt until 1981 when the group was exiled after the assassination of President Anwar Sadat. They worked out of Gaza until they were exiled to Lebanon in 1987, where they clove tightly to Hezbollah. In 1989 they moved to Damascus, where they remain a subsidiary of Hezbollah...

Southeast Asia
15 suspected terrorists arrested in Malaysia
[DAWN] Malaysian police said on Friday that they have detained another 15 suspected Death Eaters, including several foreigners, for smuggling firearms and plotting attacks on places of worship.

National police chief Mohamad Fuzi Harun said six Malaysians, six Filipinos, a Bangladeshi restaurant owner and a couple from a north African country were detained between March and May.

Among the Malaysians was a 17-year-old student who made six Molotov cocktails he planned to use against entertainment outlets, churches and Hindu temples in Kuala Lumpur, Fuzi said.

The student, a suspected Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. member, tested one of his devices in an open area and was detained in April, an hour after he produced a video on social media warning of the attacks, he said.

The police chief said a 51-year-old Malaysian woman was also held on May 9 during general elections for planning to ram a car into non-Moslems at a voting centre. "In addition, the suspect also planned to drive into non-Moslem worship places using a car filled with gas cylinders as explosives," he said.

Fuzi's statement said a 33-year-old Malaysian was detained after he was deported by The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the decaying remnant of the Ottoman Empire....
for trying to slip into Syria to join the Islamic State. Two other Malaysians had planned to kidnap and kill coppers and also attack places of worship, it said.

Fuzi said the African couple, both in their early 20s and suspected of having IS ties, were detained in April and since have been deported. Their specific home country wasn't disclosed.

The 41-year-old Bangladeshi was believed to be involved in smuggling weapons for terrorists.

Another Malaysian and six Filipinos, aged between 22 and 49, were held in April in Sabah state on Borneo island for being part of a Death Eater cell collecting firearms to wage "jihad" in Marawi city in the Philippines, he said.

Marawi was the scene of a six-month Death Eater siege last year. Hundreds of people suspected of having ties to the Death Eater Islamic State have been detained in Malaysia in the past few years.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Ibrahim: Contacts Underway with Syria to Return Refugees
[AnNahar] General Security chief Maj. Gen. Abbas Ibrahim said on Thursday that contacts are in progress with the Syrian government in order to repatriate the Syrian refugees back to their homeland.

"Contacts with Syrian authorities are underway in a bid to return thousands of refugees back to their homes. The issue is imminent," said Ibrahim during the inauguration ceremony of the General Security center in Jdeideh.

He also said that tens more General Security centers will be established specifically to receive Syrian nationals to alleviate the pressure on main centers.

Leb is hosting around 1.5 Syrian refugees while its own population stood at just four million before neighboring Syria's civil war broke out in 2011, sending tens of thousands of Syrians fleeing across the border in search of safety.

Lebanese politicians are divided over whether Leb should coordinate efforts directly with the Syrian government over the return of refugees.

Prime Minister Saad Hariri
Second son of Rafik Hariri, the Leb PM who was assassinated in 2005. He has was prime minister in his own right from 2009 through early 2011. He was born in Riyadh to an Iraqi mother and graduated from Georgetown University. He managed his father's business interests in Riyadh until his father's assassination. When his father died he inherited a fortune of some $4.1 billion, which won't do him much good if Hizbullah has him bumped off, too.
stresses that Leb will only coordinate with the United Nations
...an idea whose time has gone...
to return the refugees.
