Recent Somali Migrant Charged With Criminal Sexual Conduct in Minnesota
[BREITBART] A 22-year old Somali man who arrived in the United States in September faces charges of criminal sexual conduct, a felony punishable by up to 30 years in prison.

"A Minneapolis man is being charged with criminal sexual conduct after being accused of raping a woman on a bus passing through Crookston Friday," according to the Crookston Times.

"Mohammed Harir Ayanle, 22, was released from the Northwest Regional Correction Center Monday on a $5,000 bond and on the condition that he does not leave Minnesota," the Times reported.
Golly, where would he go?
According to the criminal complaint filed with the Minnesota 9th Judicial District Court in Polk County, the suspect "just moved to Minnesota on September 22, 2016 from Somalia."

Breitbart News contacted the Crookston Police Department and asked whether Ayanle spoke English, whether he arrived under the federal refugee resettlement program or a different immigration program, and for details on his current visa status, but did not receive a response.
Which is, of course, a response...

Afghanistan
We stand with those fighting terrorists, US forces in Afghanistan tells Pakistan
[Khaama (Afghanistan)] The US forces in Afghanistan (USFOR-A) marked the second anniversary of a deadly attack on Beautiful Downtown Peshawar
...capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (formerly known as the North-West Frontier Province), administrative and economic hub for the Federally Administered Tribal Areas of Pakistan. Peshawar is situated near the eastern end of the Khyber Pass, convenient to the Pak-Afghan border. Peshawar has evolved into one of Pakistan's most ethnically and linguistically diverse cities, which means lots of gunfire.
school that left over 130 children dead.

"Dec. 16 marked the second anniversary of the horrendous attack on the Peshawar Army Public School, which killed more than 130 children," USFOR-A said in a statement.

The statement further added "In July, a U.S. strike killed the criminal mastermind of the attack, Umar Khalifa. Although his death will not bring back the victims, we remember those who lost family and friends."

"We will continue to stand with all those who join the common fight against gunnies in Afghanistan and Pakistain," the statement added.

The statement by the US forces in Afghanistan was issued a day after Pentagon released its latest report on Afghanistan.

Pentagon in its report said "Afghan-oriented bully boy groups, including Taliban and Haqqani Network big shotship, retain freedom of action from safe havens inside Pak territory."

According to the report, the Afghan Government’s relationship with Pakistain remains a critical aspect of enhancing security and stability in Afghanistan, adding that "Since the beginning of President Ghani’s tenure, leaders from both countries have generally made a concerted effort to improve relations and better address mutual security interests, such as the threat from various bully boy groups that reside in the Afghanistan-Pakistain border region."

In the meantime, the Afghan officials have long been criticizing Pakistain for remaining reluctant to act against the terrorist groups using its soil to plan and coordinate attacks in Afghanistan, including the Taliban and Haqqani terrorist network which the Afghan officials believe are having leadership councils based in the main cities of Pakistain.

Egypt opens Rafah crossing Saturday for three days
[AlAhram] Egypt opened the Rafah border crossing with the Gazoo Strip Saturday for three days, the state-run MENA news agency reported.

The crossing will be open in both directions to allow humanitarian cases to cross.

The Rafah border crossing between Gazoo and Sinai is the only way for 1.8 million Paleostinians in Gazoo, who have been living under Israeli siege since 2006, to enter and exit the Strip.

The crossing has been mostly closed by Egyptian authorities since October 2014 on security grounds.

Cairo periodically opens the border for short periods to allow civilians with foreign passports, Paleostinian students, and those with medical needs to travel back and forth.

Egypt to compensate families of Cairo church bombing victims
[AlAhram] The Egyptian cabinet decided in a meeting on Saturday to issue compensations to the families of the victims of the Sunday bombing at the St. Peter and St. Paul Church in Cairo, Arabic Ahram website reported.

The families of those who died in the blast will receive EGP 100,000 and an exceptional monthly pension of EGP 1,500 per victim.

Those injured in the bombing and were hospitalised for more than 72 hours will receive EGP 40,000 and will have their medical fees paid.

The suicide kaboom was one of the bloodiest Egypt has seen in years, killing 26 people, mainly women, and injuring over 40 others.

The kaboom also caused severe damage to several parts of the church.

The health ministry said on Friday that 23 of those injured in the attack remain hospitalised, three of whom are at death's door.

Traces of explosives found on EgyptAir May crash victims
Egyptian air accident investigators have revealed that traces of explosives were detected on the remains of victims of the EgyptAir flight from Paris that crashed in the Mediterranean sea in May. The claim by Egypt’s civil aviation investigation committee suggests that the crash, which killed all 66 people on board, was caused by a bomb, although it does not solve the mystery of where a device might have been smuggled on board - or who was responsible.

The disappearance of the EgyptAir flight came only months after a Russian airliner flying from Sharm el-Sheikh was brought down by a bomb over the Sinai Peninsula – killing 224 people. That attack was claimed by the local affiliate of Islamic State.

“The central directorate of aircraft accident investigation received reports from the forensic medicine authority indicating traces of explosive materials found in some of the remains of the victims’ bodies,” the ministry stated on Thursday.

Spy cell gave vital military data to Iran
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] The 32-strong Iranian spy ring supplied Tehran with 124 intelligence reports containing detailed information about vital military installations in the Kingdom and other security data.

The Criminal Court in Riyadh has sentenced 15 members of the ring to death, and incarcerated
Drop the rosco, Muggsy, or you're one with the ages!
15 others to prison terms ranging from six months to 25 years and acquitted two (a Saudi and an Afghan national).

The cell, which was busted late 2014 and early 2015, consisted of 30 Saudis, an Iranian and an Afghan national who was a cook at a National Guard camp.

Court sources said the cell delivered their reports to Iranian intelligence elements mostly through personal meetings with undercover diplomats in the Iranian embassy in Riyadh, its consulate in Jeddah and its permanent mission to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Jeddah.

Methods also included sending emails containing coded messages in which they were trained by Iranian intelligence elements.

The sources said the cell members held personal meetings with as many as 24 Iranian intelligence elements in and outside the kingdom.

They said the most important elements with which the cell members used to liaise were the director of the intelligence bureau in Tehran, the first secretary of the Iranian OIC mission and the director of the office of Ali Khamenei. The cell included seven Saudi military men who used to provide the Iranian intelligence elements data and photographs of the sensitive military locations, warplanes, military airports and the confidential military correspondence.

The sources said the military spies used small cameras in key rings to send photos to Tehran.

The sources also said a medical consultant at King Faisal Specialist Hospital in Riyadh used to supply Tehran with medical reports about the health condition of the late King Abdullah and his Crown Prince Naif.

Britain
Muslim cleric banned in Pakistan is preaching in UK mosques
A Pakistani Muslim cleric who celebrated the murder of a popular politician is in Britain on a speaking tour of mosques. The news has alarmed social cohesion experts who fear such tours are promoting divisions in the Muslim community.

Syed Muzaffar Shah Qadri has been banned from preaching in Pakistan because his sermons are considered too incendiary. However, he is due to visit a number of English mosques, in heavily promoted events where he is given star billing.
Apparently he eats well at all of them...
Qadri publicly praises Mumtaz Qadri who in 2011 murdered his employer, Salman Taseer, a popular Pakistani politician who spoke out against the country’s blasphemy laws. Qadri was executed earlier this year but to his tens of thousands of supporters he remains a hero who defended their interpretation of Islam.

Mumtaz Qadri was a key influence on Tanveer Ahmed, the Bradford taxi driver who in March stabbed to death Asad Shah. Shah, a member of the Ahmadi Muslim community who ran a convenience shop in Glasgow, was targeted after messages he put out on social media including an Easter greeting to Christians.

His was one of several recent high profile murders in which a Muslim from one community was killed by a Muslim from another community for holding what they considered to be “blasphemous” views. In February, a former Sufi imam in Rochdale was murdered by two Islamic State supporters whom they claimed was practising “black magic”. In May, a Sufi Muslim leader was hacked to death near the north Bangladeshi town of Rajshahi in what police said was an attack by Islamic extremists.

Qadri, considered by many scholars to hold moderate views except on blasphemy, was due to speak at the Falkirk Central mosque in Scotland, but his invitation was withdrawn after a public outcry. However, the Observer has established that he is due to appear at several mosques in England.

The Sunday Post in Scotland reported that Qadri has been labelled a “firebrand” by the authorities in Karachi and barred from preaching his incendiary sermons. He was accused of acting in a manner “prejudicial to public safety and maintenance of public order”. He was banned from addressing crowds in October, according to a legal document seen by the Post.

Video footage on social media sites shows Qadri telling crowds that the killing of Taseer was lawful.

Irfan al-Alawi, international director at the Centre for Islamic Pluralism, a US think tank, said Qadri received large sums of money for his UK tour and accused him of increasing tensions among different Muslim sects.

“Syed Muzaffar Shah Qadri and the likes of him should not be allowed to enter the UK or Europe because he incites hatred and he claims to be a Sufi, but the message of Sufism is love all and hate none,” Alawi said.

“The Sunni Muslims do not need Pakistani or Indian imams to enter the UK and preach hatred. Just as Zakir Naik was banned, the government should be hard on these preachers of hate and also with the people and mosques which invite them.”

Naik was an extremist Islamist preacher barred from preaching in the UK by Theresa May, when she was the home secretary, in 2011.

Flyers promoting Qadri’s appearances in the UK, obtained by the Observer, confirm that he is due to preach on Sunday in Leicester, in Woking on Boxing Day and in Bolton on New Year’s Eve. It is believed he will also make appearances at other mosques.

None of the three mosques responded to requests for comment.

Haras Rafiq, chief executive of the Quilliam Foundation, said Qadri was the type of preacher who presented new challenges for promoting cohesion in Britain’s Muslim community.

“These are people who may not be extremist in the way that we know Isis or Boko Haram are extremist,” Rafiq said. “But when they apply the blasphemy law to justify the killing of other Muslims for not being the right Muslims then we have a huge challenge. Anybody who supports the murder of another person is dangerous.”

A Home Office spokeswoman said: “We do not routinely comment on individual cases.”

Former Gitmo detainee fails yet again in try to leave Uruguay
[Ynet] Authorities in Uruguay say an unhappy former Guantanamo detainee has failed yet again in his attempt to find a new home in another country.

Presidential aide Juan Andres Roballo confirmed Saturday that Syrian native Abu Wa'el Dhiab
...his proper name is Jihad Ahmed Mujstafa Diyab or Deyab, seen in Rantburg's archives as Jihad Diyab. Mr. Diyab was in the habit of engaging in hunger strikes in the years after his 2002 arrest in Lahore, Pakistan. He claimed to have gone to Kabul with his family to become a honey seller, which is inconsistent with the accusations by other Bagram and Guantanamo prisoners that he went through Al Qaeda military training camps, hosted a senior Al Qaeda figure, and was an expert document and passport forger...
has returned to the country because another country had refused to take him in.

Dhiab had boarded a flight for South Africa on Thursday and apparently was denied entry.

He's one of six former Guantanamo prisoners who were accepted by Uruguay two years ago.

Dhiab has repeatedly expressed unhappiness about life in Uruguay, but the government hasn't been able to find an alternative.
One would be surprised if they tried very hard...

Three More Charged over Nice Truck Attack, Woman Charged in Connection with Paris Girl Jihadis
[AnNahar] A French anti-terrorist judge has charged three more men suspected of helping to arm the Islamist radical who crushed 86 people to death with a truck in Nice, a judicial source said Saturday.

The three, who were among 11 locked away
Drop the heater, Studs, or you're hist'try!
on Monday in Nice and the western city of Nantes, were remanded into custody on Friday, said the source. The other eight have been released.

The three, aged 24, 31 and 36, were charged in relation to a terrorist plot.

The arrests come five months after Tunisian bully boy Mohammed Lahouaiej Bouhlel ploughed a 19-tonne truck into a crowd on the Nice seafront on July 14, Bastille Day. Over 400 people were maimed.

Six people have already been charged so far over alleged links to the 31-year-old killer but Sherlocks have yet to prove that any of them knew what he was planning.

They include an Albanian couple, Artan Henaj and Enkeledja Zace, and a French-Tunisian national, 21-year-old Ramzi Arefa, suspected of providing a pistol to the killer while not necessarily knowing what he was planning.

The three men charged Friday are linked to varying degrees to these suspects.

The 31-year-old, born in Tunisia, is suspected of being an intermediary between the Albanian couple and Arefa, said a source close to the investigation. The 24-year-old, born in Albania and a cousin of Henaj, is suspected of being implicated in a transaction over a Kalashnikov.

The Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
group moved quickly after the attack to claim Bouhlel as one of its followers.

Nearly six months after the Nice attack, Sherlocks are still trying to understand the killer's real motives.

"There is a combination of (Islamist) radicalisation, a fascination for extreme violence and a background of psychological problems," said a source close to the case.

Separately, an anti-terrorist judge charged a woman as part of a probe into a gang of female jihadists arrested after the discovery of gas cylinders packed in a car in Gay Paree in September, said a judicial source Saturday.

The 23-year-old, arrested Tuesday in Mantes-la-Jolie west of Gay Paree, was charged Friday in connection with the alleged plot, foiled after the potentially deadly car was left near Gay Paree's Notre Dame Cathedral on September 4.

350,000 Migrants Arrived in EU this Year So Far
[AnNahar] The head of the European Union
...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing...
border control agency says that about 350,000 migrants colonists have arrived in the EU so far this year.

Fabrice Leggeri, executive director of the Frontex border agency, was quoted Saturday by German daily Ruhr-Nachrichten as saying about 180,000 people arrived via The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire....
and the eastern Mediterranean, while 170,000 reached the continent across the central Mediterranean route from Libya and Egypt. That's a sharp decline from 2015, when more than 1 million people arrived.

Leggeri said a deal between the EU and Turkey reduced the number of migrants colonists coming from the East, but migration from northern Africa rose 30 percent.

The International Organization of Migration said last month that 4,636 people died on the Mediterranean this year, about 1,000 more than through this point last year.

Three More Indicted over Harmanli Migrant Riots
[Iraq Sun] Bulgarian prosecuting authorities have indicted three migrants colonists on charges of hooliganism and obstruction to police.

The Harmani Regional Prosecutor's Office has taken the step in relation to the November 24 unrest at the Harmani migrant reception center in Southern Bulgaria, where hundreds of migrants colonists were hurt and hundreds were tossed in the clink

The defendants are two Afghans and an Iraqi national. Two of them have been placed under a recognizance order, while the third one, who is still a minor, will be placed under the oversight of an agency working with child offenders, according to the prosecutors.

As many as eighteen other Afghan nationals have been indicted so far in relation to the riots.

The unrest broke out after nearly 3000 residents of the camp, until then operated without restriction to movement, were locked up by authorities due to Harmanli locals' concerns that many of them had severe skin diseases. The rumours were later fended off, with only a small percentage of the migrants colonists being infected with crabs scabies.

Over 50 soldiers arrested over alleged links to Gülenists
Over 50 high-ranking soldiers were arrested across Turkey on Dec.17 over alleged links to the U.S.-based Islamic preacher Fethullah Gülen, who is accused of masterminding the failed July 15 coup in Turkey, state-run Anadolu Agency has reported.

The Istanbul Court issued arrest warrants for 530 high-ranking soldiers, including 280 military officers and 250 sergeants early on Dec.17.

The Istanbul Public Prosecutor’s Office said in a statement later that 53 soldiers had been arrested so far, including 48 from the port city and five others from other provinces in the country. The Istanbul-based simultaneous operations are on the lookout for the rest of the suspects, some of whom used the ByLock messaging app that is said to be linked to the July 15 coup attempt.

New Pak Army chief has close links with the JuD, reveals report

Recently, Amir Hamza, one of the central leaders of the JuD, which India has held responsible for the November 2008 terror attacks in Mumbai that claimed over 160 lives and left more than 300 others injured through its murderous Moslem wing, the Lashkar-e-Taiba

Pasban leader granted bail in terror case
[DAWN] KARACHI: An anti-terrorism court on Saturday granted bail to a suspect in a case pertaining to instigating terrorism and harbouring criminals.

Usman Moazzam, general secretary of Pasban that had ties with the Jamaat-e-Islami
...The Islamic Society, founded in 1941 in Lahore by Maulana Sayyid Abul Ala Maududi, aka The Great Apostosizer. The Jamaat opposed the independence of Bangladesh but has operated an independent branch there since 1975. The Jamaat's objectives are the establishment of a pure Islamic state, governed by Sharia law. It is distinguished by its xenophobia, and its opposition to Westernization, capitalism, socialism, secularism, and liberalist social mores...
, with his son Mohammad Ali Siddiqui and others was booked at the Samanabad cop shoppe last year.

In a bail application moved through his counsel Mohammad Farooq, the suspect submitted that he was framed in the cases, because he had impleaded the Rangers and police as respondents in a petition filed before the high court for recovery of his son, Saad Siddiqui, who went missing in June 2015.

The prosecution, however, opposed the plea.

After hearing both sides, the ATC-II judge granted bail to the suspect against a surety bond of Rs500,000. The Pasban leader had already obtained bail in another case lodged against him along with former petroleum minister Dr Asim Hussain and some other politicians for allegedly treating and harbouring suspected terrorists, political murderous Moslems and gangsters at Dr Asim’s hospitals.

The Rangers had picked up Usman Moazzam in August last year and kept him under 90-day preventive detention for inquiry. Later, the paramilitary force handed him over to police after the registration of a case against him at the Samanabad cop shoppe under Sections 11V (directing terrorist activities), 21J (harbouring any person who committed an offence under this act) and 7 (act of terrorism) of Anti-terrorism Act, 1997.

Eight suspects including Dr Akmal Waheed and Sabiha Shahid, widow of slain suspected Lion of Islam Shahid Khan alias Qari, were showed as absconders in the case.

Nisar responds to critics: 'I told PM Nawaz I can resign but he declined'
[DAWN] Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar responded to growing criticism against him on Saturday, saying the report on the inquiry into the attack on lawyers in Quetta is "one-sided".

"I went to the prime minister yesterday, told him if my expression embarrasses the government then I would resign to set the record straight. He said that is unacceptable to him, which is why I am standing here in front of you today to tell you the other side of the story," Nisar said at a presser in Islamabad.

Nisar's remarks come days after an inquiry report into an Aug 8 attack on lawyers in Quetta slammed government inaction against bad boys.

Taliban, Haqqani network leaders freely operates in Pakistan: Pentagon
[Khaama (Afghanistan)] The top leaders of the Taliban group and the notorious Haqqani terrorist network are still freely operating from their safe havens in Pakistain, Pentagon said in its latest report.

"Afghan-oriented murderous Moslem groups, including Taliban and Haqqani Network big shotship, retain freedom of action from safe havens inside Pak territory," Pentagon said in a report provided to congress.

Thee report "Enhancing Security and Stability in Afghanistan", further added that "the United States continues to be clear with Pakistain about steps it should take to improve the security environment and deny safe havens to terrorist and murderous Moslem groups."

The report said Afghanistan faces a continuing threat from both the Afghan insurgency and murderous Moslem networks, including the Taliban, the Haqqani Network, and to a lesser extent al Qaeda, and other bully boy and murderous Moslem groups, which continue to attempt to reassert their authority and prominence.

"These pervasive bully boy, terrorist, and criminal networks constitute a threat to Afghanistan’s stability. Revenue from opium trafficking continues to sustain the insurgency and Afghan criminal networks. Additionally, extortion and kidnappings by low-level criminal networks have increased in some areas of Afghanistan. The Afghanistan-Pakistain border region remains a sanctuary for various groups. These include the Taliban, al Qaeda, AQIS, the Haqqani Network, Lashkar-e-Taiba
...the Army of the Pure, an Ahl-e-Hadith terror organization founded by Hafiz Saeed. LeT masquerades behind the Jamaat-ud-Dawa facade within Pakistain and periodically blows things up and kills people in India. Despite the fact that it is banned, always an interesting concept in Pakistain, the organization remains an blatant tool and perhaps an arm of the ISI...
, Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistain (TTP), ISIS-K, and the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan. This sanctuary and these groups remain a security challenge for both countries and pose a threat to regional stability and security," the report added.

According to the report, the Afghan Government’s relationship with Pakistain remains a critical aspect of enhancing security and stability in Afghanistan, adding that "Since the beginning of President Ghani’s tenure, leaders from both countries have generally made a concerted effort to improve relations and better address mutual security interests, such as the threat from various murderous Moslem groups that reside in the Afghanistan-Pakistain border region."

Pentagon said Afghanistan-Pakistain relations deteriorated following a major Haqqani Network attack against a National Directorate of Security

it added that Afghanistan and Pakistain have taken cautious steps toward improving the bilateral relationship.

"Multiple high-level engagements have produced efforts to deescalate border tensions, attempts to advance political reconciliation talks between the Afghan Government and the Taliban, and fostered greater military-to-military cooperation," the report said.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Hamas blames Israel for killing its drone expert in Tunisia, vows revenge
[IsraelTimes] Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason, on Saturday evening blamed Israel for Thursday’s killing of Mohammed al-Zoari, a Tunisian aviation scientist and engineer who developed the terror groups unmanned drones, and vowed Dire Revenge.

Accusing Israel of the liquidation, Hamas’s military wing, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, said Zoari’s death constituted an attack on it, and that "his blood will not be spilled in vain," Army Radio reported. It said he had "acted against Israel, in the defense of Paleostine."

Earlier on Saturday, Hamas officials confirmed Zoari, 59, was a central figure in its weapons manufacture, calling him a pioneer in developing its unmanned drones.

Hamas said Zoari had been a member of its military wing for the past 10 years. It published a poster showing Zoari with an unmanned drone in what appeared to be a training session. The poster bore the logo of Hamas’s military wing and referred to Zoari as a commander.

Tunisian newspapers rushed Friday to blame Mossad for the killing of Zoari -- who was rubbed out at point-blank range in his car outside his home in the Tunisian city of Sfax.

According to Channel 10, a senior Tunisian journalist said Mossad had been tracking Zoari for quite some time, and was responsible for his liquidation.

Zoari was an aviation engineer who specialized in unmanned aircraft. He was also affiliated with the Moslem Brüderbund in Tunisia, known to be rivals of the local government. His ties to the group compelled him to leave for Syria in 1991, only returning after the overthrow of former Tunisian president Zine El Abidine Ben Ali in 2011. (Tunisia’s Brotherhood-inspired Ennahda Movement issued a statement of condemnation and mourning after Zoari’s killing.) Zoari is known to have instructed would-be drone pilots near his home in the southern city.

Channel 2 on Friday showed footage of Zoari working on what appeared to be small drones.

A senior court official in Sfax, Murad a-Turki, said police had found two pistols, silencers and four cars apparently used in the killing.

"According to our initial investigation, we found a connection to other elements who are now outside the country," he said.

An associate of Zoari, Karim Abed a-Salam, told Tunisia’s Channel 9 TV that Zoari had visited the Gazoo Strip several times in recent years, entering through the tunnels that run under the Gazoo-Egypt border. He said that Zoari served as a liaison between Hamas and the Iranian and Syrian governments. It was not immediately clear whether there was any truth to these claims.

The Lebanese al-Akhbar newspaper reported Saturday that Zoari had also assisted Lebanese terror group Hezbollah in the development of drone technology.

The Mossad has been accused in the past of eliminating those who supply Paleostinian and Lebanese terror groups with advanced technology, as well as having assassinated Iranian nuclear scientists.

The most high-profile case was the death of Hassan Lakkis, who was the head of Hezbollah’s weapons research and development. He was shot and killed south of Beirut in 2013. Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah blamed Israel, but Jerusalem denied any involvement.

Tunisia, as of Saturday evening, had not pointed a finger of blame at Israel.
Legal Insurrection adds this, from their round-up of a variety of sources:
Al-Akhbar stated explicitly that the Mossad was behind the killing, adding that Zawahri was killed after returning to Tunisia from a short visit to Lebanon and Turkey. The report said the Israeli espionage agency may have had ties to a woman who contacted Zawahri seeking an interview with him, claiming to be a Tunisian journalist living in Hungary. The woman reportedly disappeared a day before the killing.
Update at 1:00 a.m.: The Jerusalem Post is skeptical that Mossad dunnit.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Rebel truce violations scuttled first evacuation
[al-Manar] Syria’s Ambassador to the UN, Bashar Jaafari said that a deal to evacuate Aleppo broke down over violations by terrorists who took hostages, the remains of Syrian Army troops, and prohibited weapons with them.

“More than 9,449 terrorists [and members of their families] have evacuated from the eastern part of the city, due to the agreement made for this purpose and thanks to Russian mediation,” Jaafari told RT.

He then explained why the evacuation stopped amid reports the Syrian Army blamed the militants for violating the evacuation deal.

“Unfortunately, the agreement was violated today by the terrorist groups who took hostages with them and corpses of Syrian Army martyrs while they were exiting the city,” Jaafari said. “[They also] were transferring medium-caliber weapons after dismantling them in violation [of the] agreement.”

The agreement “does not allow them to take with them any prisoners, any hostages, and any corpses of Syrian Army soldiers killed by them – but they did,” he explained, also adding that only light weapons were supposed to be taken out of the militant-occupied areas, but not the heavier arms.

Jaafari estimated that a “couple thousand” of militants that refused to exit the city altogether comprise of “the most radical elements.” He claimed that those belonged to groups “working for Turkish intelligence.”

New Deal Reached to Continue Aleppo Evacuation

[al-Manar] A new deal has been reached to evacuate eastern Aleppo, after the original pact broke down over violations by terrorist militants.

More than 9,000 of militants, members of their families and civilians had been evacuated from Aleppo’s east. But the evacuation was suspended on Friday after the militants took hostages, the remains of Syrian Army troops, and prohibited weapons with them, Syria’s Ambassador to the UN, Bashar Jaafari told RT.

Reuters news agency on Saturday, quoted a Syrian government official as saying that the stalled evacuation of Aleppo would resume, alongside some evacuations from the besieged twons of Foua, Kefraya, Madaya and Zabadani.

“It was agreed to resume evacuations from east Aleppo in parallel with the evacuation of (medical) cases from Kefraya and al-Foua and some cases from Zabadani and Madaya,” said the government official, part of the evacuations negotiating team.

The agency also quoted a militant commander as reporting the deal.

Speaking from Aleppo to news channel al-Arabiya al-Hadath, al-Farouk Abu Bakr said the deal comprised an evacuation from the besieged villages of Foua and Kefraya, the evacuation of wounded people from two towns near the Lebanese border, and the full evacuation of east Aleppo.

Iran: After Aleppo, we will intervene in Bahrain, Yemen
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] The leaders of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards launched provocative statements against the Gulf states threatening to intervene in Bahrain and Yemen.

The comments were reported by Iranian media after what they described as a "victory in Aleppo," upon the massacres, starvation and displacement against civilians. Aleppo was considered as one of the strongholds of the opposition; however, the Syrian regime took a hold of it with the help and support of Iranian and Russian military troops.

In this context, the deputy commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Gen. Hossein Salami told the official Iranian news agency Islamic Theocratic Republic News Agency that "The victory in Aleppo will pave the way for liberating Bahrain," pointing out that Iran has an expansion project that will extend to Bahrain, Yemen
...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of. Except for a tiny handfull of Jews everthing there is very Islamic...
and djinn-infested Mosul
... the home of a particularly ferocious and hairy djinn...
after the fall of the Syrian city of Aleppo.

Salami said that "the people of Bahrain will achieve their wishes, the Yemeni people will be delighted, and the residents of Mosul will taste victory, these are all divine promises," as he put it.

He also pointed out that Iran is still providing unlimited support for the Houthi
...a Zaidi Shia insurgent group operating in Yemen. They have also been referred to as the Believing Youth. Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi is said to be the spiritual leader of the group and most of the military leaders are his relatives. The Yemeni government has accused the Houthis of having ties to the Iranian government, which wouldn't suprise most of us. The group has managed to gain control over all of Saada Governorate and parts of Amran, Al Jawf and Hajjah Governorates. Its slogan is God is Great, Death to America™, Death to Israel, a curse on the Jews ...
group, highlighting that Iranian missile could destroy the enemy targets in any area.

Salami described the control of the Syrian regime forces on the Syrian city of Aleppo, which have claimed the lives of hundreds of civilians as "a conquest."

The comments of the front man for the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Brigadier General Ramadan Sharif reveal the intentions of Tehran to expand geographically through bloody wars and military interventions in the Arab World.

Sharif noted that the Iranian forces and its sectarian militia from Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistain and Hezbollah with the support of Russia played a "fateful and very influential role" in the battles of Aleppo.

It is noteworthy that Iran’s hostility against Bahrain and the Gulf states has escalated since the Prime Minister of Britannia, Theresa May, vowed her country’s support for the Gulf States in the face of Iranian terrorism.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry summoned the British ambassador in Tehran in protest against Theresa May’s remarks during her speech on the 7th of December, at the Summit of Gulf Cooperation Council, where she declared: "We need to work together to address Iranian regional hostilities whether it is in Leb, Iraq, Yemen, Syria, or in the Gulf itself."

Turkey to set up camp for 80,000 Aleppo evacuees
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire....
plans to set up a camp inside Syria to host people evacuated from the city of Aleppo but will continue to take the sick and maimed to Turkish hospitals, officials said on Friday.

Two potential sites, around 3.5 km (2 miles) inside Syria, have been identified for a camp with the capacity to host up to 80,000 people, two bigwigs told Rooters.

"Work on the infrastructure for the camp will begin shortly," another official from the Turkish aid organization IHH said by phone from inside Syria. The camp will be jointly set up by the Turkish Red Islamic Thingy, disaster agency AFAD and IHH.

The IHH official said evacuees had so far largely found shelter with relatives in and around Syria’s Idlib province, southwest of Aleppo, but added that work to identify those with nowhere to go was under way.

Some arrived on Friday at a clinic in Syria close to the Turkish border gate of Cilvegozu where they were tended to by Turkish aid workers, video footage obtained by Rooters showed.

"We were bombed by a plane," said one man, his head and arm bandaged, lying on a bed hugging his young son.

"All my family were killed and all I have left is him and a daughter," he said. He had been told his daughter had been brought to Turkey but did not know her condition or whereabouts.

Turkey has taken in 55 maimed or sick evacuees, according to Hasan Aydinlik, head of an emergency response division of the Turkish Health Ministry. He told news hounds at the Cilvegozu crossing that one of the maimed had died in hospital while four people, including a child, were at death's door.

The evacuation of the last opposition-held areas of Aleppo was suspended on Friday after pro-government militias demanded that maimed people should also be brought out of two Shi’ite Moslem villages being besieged by rebels.

Turkey says that close to 8,000 people - rebels and civilians - have been evacuated under a ceasefire deal it brokered with Russia.

Turkey is already sheltering around 2.7 million Syrian refugees. An aid official with Syrian NGO Shafak, working on the Aleppo evacuation, said he expected more people to head for the Turkish border as the villages west of Aleppo were now full.

Aleppo was divided between government and rebel areas of control for much of the nearly six-year-old civil war. But a lightning advance by the Syrian army and its allies that began in mid-November saw the snuffies lose most of their territory.

Iran sermon: Muslims defeated ‘infidels’ in Aleppo
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Tehran Friday prayers holy man, Ayatollah Mohammad Emami Kashani, claimed a military victory in Aleppo, applauding what he commended as "Aleppo triumph" as a victory of the "Moslems over the Infidels", according to various Iranian state run controlled media outlets.

According to "al-Alam" news channel website, Kashani affirmed that Aleppo was "liberated" and not "fallen" and that the Moslems were victorious over the infidels, as an innuendo to the Syrian opposition, who rebelled against Bashar al Assad’s authoritarian regime and consequently being forcibly evacuated from their homes as culmination of the siege, starvation and shelling.

In addition, Kashani was quoted by the Iranian "al Hawza news agency" Saturday, saying that Aleppo’s accomplishment is "a victory achieved as a consequence of resoluteness, tenacity and determination."
