Karzai vows to oust US forces from Afghanistan after MOAB strike on ISIS
[Khaama (Afghanistan)] The former Afghanistan's Caped President Hamid Maybe I'll join the Taliban Karzai
... A former Baltimore restaurateur, 12th President of Afghanistan, displacing the legitimate president Rabbani in December 2004. He was installed as the dominant political figure after the removal of the Taliban regime in late 2001 in an attempt to put a Pashtun face on the successor state to the Taliban. After the 2004 presidential election, he was declared president regardless of what the actual vote count was. He won a second, even more dubious, five-year-term after the 2009 presidential election. His grip on reality has been slipping steadily since around 2007, probably from heavy drug use...
has vowed to step up efforts in a bid to oust the US military from the country following the massive Arclight airstrike in Achin Nangarhar

which was organized regarding the Durand Line.

Slamming the government for allowing the US forces to carry out the strike, Karzai said the move would be a national treason if the government had approved the use of the massive bomb.

He also raised questions regarding the increased US Arclight airstrikes against ISIS, saying ’Why the US waited for two years to start bombing ISIS?’

The former President insisted that the use of GBU-43 was an insult to the country and added that he has decided to take a stand to rescue Afghanistan from the United States.

ISIS in Afghanistan kidnapped wives, daughters for forced marriage: Nicholson
As did the Taliban, who also took beautiful young boys for not marrying.
[Khaama (Afghanistan)] The commander of the US forces in Afghanistan leading the NATO

that the deadly Arclight airstrike against the ISIS terrorist group was carried out in response to the barbaric acts of the terror group affiliates, including the kidnapping of the wives and daughters for forced marriage to their fighters.

Gen. Nicholson further added that the group has sent jacket wallahs to attack peaceful demonstrations and killed and maimed hundreds of civilians and dragged elders out of their homes in Nangarhar

, beheaded them in front of their families.

He said night’s complex strike in Achin district of Nangarhar was part of alliances campaign to destroy ISIS-K in Afghanistan in 2017.

"The weapon used, the GBU-43, is designed to destroy caves and tunnels in Achin Nangarhar," Gen. Nicholson said, adding that "ISIS-K used tunnel and minefields to move around battlefield, protect themselves from Afghan & US Forces in Achin Nangarhar."

Stressing that GBU-43 was the right weapon considering the condition in Achin, Gen. Nicholson said "I want to assure you that our forces took every possible precaution to prevent civilian casualties."

"We have US Forces at the site and we see no evidence of civilian casualties nor have there been reports," he added.

Gen. Nicholson also added that Afghan Army and Commandos are leading this fight against these barbaric bandidos bandidos krazed killers on behalf of the people of Afghanistan.

According to Gen. Nicholson, the alliance is united with the Afghan government to prevent bandidos bandidos krazed killers from establishing safe havens in Afghanistan.

Afghan tribal elders seek more airstrikes after MOAB strike on ISIS
[Khaama (Afghanistan)] The tribal elders in eastern Nangarhar

province of Afghanistan welcomed the Arclight airstrike against the ISIS hideouts in Achin district, seeking for more such raids against the other hideouts of the terror.

Provincial governor Ataullah Khogyani said the elders sought further support from the Afghan and international community in the fight against the terror group.

Khogyani further added that the Arclight airstrike conducted on Thursday evening has resulted into the killing of more than 80 holy warriors, mainly comprising foreigners.

Nangarhar’s provincial council secretary Zabiullah Zmarai said the tribal elders had long requested the government for the elimination of ISIS terrorist group affiliates in Nangarhar.

He said the Thursday night’s Arclight airstrike did not result into any civilian casualties, emphasizing that the Arclight airstrike was carried out based on the recommendations of the provincial and district councils.

Zmarai further added that the Arclight airstrike targeted the main leadership center of the terror group which is not only a serious threat to Nangarhar but for the whole country from where they were planning insurgency.

The tribal elders formally endorsed any such strike that results into the elimination of the snuffies and ensures peace and stability in Nangarhar.

‘Mother of All Bombs' dropped on tunnels once funded by the US
At least we knew where it was.
Whistleblower and former NSA contractor Edward Snowden wrote on Twitter that the bomb dropped in the “middle of nowhere” in Afghanistan cost $314 million, referring to the overall development costs of the MOAB project.
Truths mingle with half truths mingle with quarter truths mingle with eighth truths until the truths are too tiny to be seen with the nekkid eye...
In addition, Snowden pointed to the fact that the Tora Bora underground system of caves and tunnels is located in Nangarhar where the bomb was dropped.

Tora Bora (Black Cave in Pashto) was known to be a stronghold of the Taliban, used by military forces against the Soviet Union in 1980s. Its tunnels are 500 meters deep and have a total length of over 25 kilometers.

Tora Bora had natural caverns that were expanded into a CIA-financed complex for the Mujahedeen. Its labyrinth of tunnels houses arms depots, bomb shelters and dwelling rooms.

“Tora Bora was a fortress of snow-capped peaks, steep valleys and fortified caves. Its miles of tunnels, bunkers and base camps, dug deeply into the steep rock walls, had been part of a CIA-financed complex built for the mujahedeen,” according to a 2005 article in the New York Times.

#1  the tora bora caves were enhanced with support beams and some widening and some minimal connectivity in the 1980s by groups funded by the CIA

but even after this the Tora Bora 'tunnels' were quite primitive as has been documented by eyewitness US troops in 2001-2002, not anywhere near what the NYTimes Mag implied in what they published in 2005.

#3  "Again, with the caves, they weren't these crazy mazes or labyrinths of caves that they described. Most of them were natural caves. Some were supported with some pieces of wood maybe about the size of a 10-foot by 24-foot room, at the largest. They weren't real big. I know they made a spectacle out of that, and how are we going to be able to get into them? We worried about that too, because we see all these reports. Then it turns out, when you actually go up there, there's really just small bunkers, and a lot of different ammo storage is up there". – Jeff, Staff Sgt. UN: Al-Shabaab biggest threat to peace in Somalia
[SHABELLENEWS] In light of the threat posed by al-Shabaab
... the Islamic version of the old Somali warlord...
, drought and the ongoing humanitarian crisis, the Security Council Committee on sanctions in Eritrea
...is run by the People's Front for Democracy and Justice (PFDJ), with about the amounts of democracy and justice you'd expect from a party with that name. National elections have been periodically scheduled and cancelled; none have ever been held in the country. The president, Isaias Afewerki, has been in office since independence in 1993 and will probably die there of old age...
and Somalia announced a possible future visit to the Horn of Africa today, as members expressed diverging views on arms embargoes imposed on those countries.

The region clearly demanded a peacekeeping presence, said Kairat Umarov (Kazakhstan), Chair of the Security Council Committee pursuant to resolution 751 (1992) and 1907 (2009) concerning Somalia and Eritrea.

Outlining that panel’s efforts over the last four months, he said the Somalia Eritrea Monitoring Group had found no links between al-Shabaab and Eritrea. It had also investigated the origin and destination of a cache of 25,000 firearms in Somalia.

Chief among the Group’s concerns were illegal fishing, al-Shabaab’s involvement in the charcoal trade and the disappearance of troops following border festivities between Djibouti and Eritrea, he said. Going forward, Somalia must ensure access to all areas for the delivery of aid, he said, describing al-Shabaab as the biggest threat to peace.

In the ensuing debate, speakers highlighted a range of concerns, from the humanitarian crisis and armed terrorist groups to reported pirate attacks. Many agreed that assistance was needed to build on recent gains, including Somalia’s successful elections.

Egypt Copts Ready for Easter Mass Despite Attacks
[An Nahar] Egyptian Copts will celebrate Easter mass on Saturday, marking one of Christianity's most joyous occasions just days after the deadliest attacks in living memory against the country's religious minority.

The faithful will spend a large part of Easter eve going through arduous security checks outside places of worship, after twin Palm Sunday bombings killed 45 people in two cities north of Cairo.

The government has declared a state of emergency and called in the army to protect "vital" installations following the suicide kabooms in Tanta and Alexandria, which were claimed by the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. group.

"Security has indeed improved so much as it seems the situation needed to be tightened up a lot," said Coptic Church front man Boulos Halim.

Coptic Pope Tawadros II will lead Easter mass in Cairo's Saint Mark's Cathedral, while the church said celebrations this year would be scaled back.

"Tanta and Alexandria created a big shock, for all of Egypt," Halim said.

Easter, which along with Christmas is one of Christianity's most important events, marks the resurrection of Christ three days after followers believe he was crucified.

In Egypt, Copts break a 55-day fast abstaining from all animal products following Saturday's mass.

Egypt Sentences Ex-Interior Minister Adly to 7 Years
[An Nahar] An Egyptian court sentenced former interior minister Habib al-Adly to seven years in prison for corruption Saturday, in one of the last cases against Hosni Mubarak
...The former President-for-Life of Egypt, dumped by popular demand in early 2011...
-era officials following his 2011 overthrow.

Adly, who was seen as a brutal enforcer for the ousted strongman Mubarak, can appeal the verdict.

The sentencing came less than a month after Mubarak himself was freed from detention, following his acquittal over charges of involvement in protester deaths during the 18-day revolt that unseated him.

Adly and other police commanders had also been acquitted of those charges.

But the court on Saturday found him and 10 other interior ministry officials guilty of embezzling more than two billion pounds (about $110 million) while Adly was interior minister.

Two other defendants also received seven-years sentences, while the court sentenced six others to six years in prison each and two to three years.

Adly had been sent to his room since November.

Al-Sirraj: International community must put the kibosh on military escalation in south Libya
[Libya Observer] The Head of the UN-proposed government's Presidential Council, Fayez al-Sirraj, has called for an immediate intervention by the international community to stop the current military escalation in southern Libya, which he said is threatening the stability of the country.

The urge of al-Sirraj came in an open letter sent to the Secretary-Generals of the Arab League
...an organization of Arabic-speaking states with 22 member countries and four observers. The League tries to achieve Arab consensus on issues, which usually leaves them doing nothing but a bit of grimacing and mustache cursing...
, Organization of Islamic Cooperation, United Nations
...a lucrative dumping ground for the relatives of dictators and party hacks...
, and the Chairman of the African Union
...a union consisting of 53 African states, most run by dictators of one flavor or another. The only all-African state not in the AU is Morocco. Established in 2002, the AU is the successor to the Organisation of African Unity (OAU), which was even less successful...
Commission, as well as the High Representative of the European Union
...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing...
for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.

"The military escalation that had included targeting Timnahent airbase by artillery and Arclight airstrikes is unjustifiable." The letter says, adding that this escalation could lead to a civil war in the country.

"This new escalation has got nothing to do with fighting terrorism, but rather has everything to do with instability and deterioration of the current fragile stability of the country." al-Sirraj added.

He also cited the statement by the five permanent countries in the UN Security Council, in which they urged for immediate halt of military operations in southern Libya, and called for supporting the Libyan Political Agreement (LPA) .

"I call on the southerners to be reasonable and side with the peace and reconciliation, renouncing any type of escalation in their region." al-Sirraj elaborated in his letter.

He also remarked that the Arclight airstrikes that targeted civilians in the region is an attack on the LPA and national reconciliation and a peril that threatens to undermine Libya's stability in the future.

"A tough stance is required in response of the escalation." He concluded his letter.

Fighting in South Sudan's Raga kills at least 14
At least 14 people have been killed in South Sudan after new fighting erupted between government forces and the main rebel group.

Lam Paul Gabriel Lam, the SPLM-IO rebel group's spokesman, told Reuters news agency on Saturday during the last two days the army has bombed rebel-held areas around Raga - a northwestern town near the border with Sudan and Central African Republic.

"Yesterday our forces decided to go and raid Raga," he said. "Around 14 people were counted killed but many are injured. We had one soldier killed with some injuries."

Santo Domic Chol, the government's military spokesman, said he was in Raga and would provide information later on.

The outbreak of violence in the eastern Jonglei region came after fierce clashes in southern Pajok and western Wau in the past two weeks. According to a tally of UN figures and deaths that witnesses reported to AFP, 101 people were killed in the two towns.

The United Nations, which has a large peacekeeping force in the East African nation, confirmed the latest outbreak of violence. The surge in fighting in eastern South Sudan has forced 60 aid workers to flee, the UN humanitarian agency OCHA said on Saturday.Moustapha Soumare, the special representative for the UN secretary-general in South Sudan, on Saturday called for a halt to fighting, urging "all parties, to prove their commitment to peace".

South Sudan drops poisonous gas on rebel-held territories

South Sudanese government has dropped containers of toxic gas on rebel-held areas in Bieh State, a senior rebel military source told the South Sudan News Agency on Saturday.

The official who declined to be named because he is not authorized to speak said the government used at least three military helicopters to drop the poison gas.

“After days of failed attempt to capture our areas in Waat, the genocidal regime in Juba decided to use poisonous gas on our gallant forces and civilians. The gas is suffocating people. People affected by this gas attack are experiencing severe coughing,” the officer told the South Sudan News Agency.

Lt. Col. Lam Paul Gabriel with the SPLA-IO military command also released a statement, confirming the gas attack.

“After failing to defeat the SPLA-IO forces with regular weapons, the Juba government Militias under the command Governor John Gony Biliew of Akobo State and Majiok Gatluak Thoa of Bieh State used poisonous gas that blindfolds, weakens, makes someone loses focus and causes sneezing while attacking SPLA-IO positions and civilians in the IDP Camps,” Gabriel said the gas use has been systematic, saying, “This criminal acts of cowardice by the Juba Government started on 11th April 2017 in Yuai, proceeded to Waat on 14/04/2017 and still going on with an aim of reaching Akobo.”

Gabriel said rebel forces have tactically withdrawn from Waat Saturday night to focus on civilian evacuations.

“There are many civilians casualties in Yuai and Waat due to this act of terrorism by the Juba regime,” he said.

The armed opposition calls on the African Union (AU), Troika countries and the international community to immediately send investigators to Bieh and Akoba states to investigate what it described as “this use of poisonous gas by the Juba regime.” The SPLA-IO urges the international community to send a medical team to the affected areas to treat those affected by the alleged gas attack.

One senior rebel official in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa, told the South Sudan News Agency today that the armed opposition intelligence branches have evidence showing Ugandan government is secretly assisting South Sudanese government in the gas campaign.

Bangladesh
Think Jamaat is finished? Think again
[Dhaka Tribune] After nearly four years of lingering in political limbo, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami
... a Pakistani catspaw remaining active in Bangla politix, loosely affiliated with the Pak religious party of the same name and closely affiliated with most of the terror organizations in Bangla. A member of the BNP's four party governing coalition....
is showing it is actively engaging people in the grassroots level, without drawing undue attention.

In 2013, a Supreme Court verdict cancelled the registration of the party with the Election Commission, preventing it from taking part in any elections. Another Supreme Court decision in 2016 to remove "weighing scales" as an electoral symbol seemed to be yet another nail in the coffin for Jamaat.

But despite the apparent absence from Bangladeshi politics, Jamaat has been working around the clock to prepare for the 2019 elections.

Even before the party institution was deconstructed, the top brass were being indicted from 2011 for their war crimes during the 1971 Liberation War. In response to the loss of major leaders, the controversial party has been bringing in new blood and fresh faces.

It was widely believed that Jamaat would appeal to overturn the Supreme Court’s decision to restrict their election participation. The case now rests with the Appellate Division, and until recently this had appeared to be Jamaat’s key to get back into the game.

Old play, new actors
But a number of Jamaat leaders, a mix of veterans who survived the judicial action and new recruits, say that the party will sit for the election by any means necessary.

Since 2016, the main focus of Jamaat has been to rebuild its target demographic from the grassroots. Rural areas, border areas, areas which have experienced severe crackdown by law enforcement agencies are the key voter mines for Jamaat to tap.

Jamaat seems to be focusing on the northern and coastal districts for its revival.

Families which have lost a member to engagement with police or RAB are singled out. Jamaat members are building up rapport on empathy. Financially marginalised families are supported with job opportunities or welfare if they join the party.

Highly-trained Jamaat members (Rokon), numbering in the thousands, go from door to door, engaging people one-on-one to sway their votes. Mosques see regular sermons by these rokons. Party funds are on the rise with donations from patrons and registered members.

and rule of law have been rebuffed by Kurds as they distance themselves from the AKP," HDP co-chair Selahattin Demirtas told Foreign Policy in an article published on April 13, responding to written questions through his lawyers from the jail where he is held in the northwestern province of Edirne.

He also said President Sultan Recep Tayyip Erdogan the First
... Turkey's version of Mohammed Morsi but they voted him back in so they deserve him...
"will struggle to recapture Kurdish votes after the failure of peace negotiations and the ensuing crackdown."

Demirtas, who was tossed in the calaboose
Book 'im, Mahmoud!
on Nov. 4, 2016, was quoted in the Foreign Policy he is "absolutely" certain that his arrest was designed to cripple opposition to the constitutional changes.

A total of 13 politicians from the HDP, including its co-chairs Demirtas and Figen Yuksekdag, face hundreds of years in jail over alleged links to the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK).

[Hurriyet Daily News] The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office has launched a probe into 17 individuals including US politicians, babus bureaucrats and academics, who are suspected of being linked to the Fethullahist Terrorist Organization (FETÖ).

The suspects have been accused of attempting to overthrow the Turkish government and the country’s constitution and being members of a terror organization.

Former CIA Director John O. Brennan, New York Senator Chuck Schumer
Senator-for-life from New York, renowned for his love of standing in front of cameras. Schumer has been a professional politician since 1975, when disco was in flower. Senate minority leader as of 2017.
, US attorney for the Southern District of New York Preet Bharara, Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) President David Cohen and Henri Barkey, Director of the Middle East Program at Wilson Center are among the suspects.
To be fair, we find them suspicious, too.
The prosecutor's office is investigating July 15 and July 17 meetings of the suspects in Istanbul, their entries to The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire....
and suspected links to other FETÖ suspects.

Speeches and social media messages related to FETÖ made by the suspects have also been included in the investigation.

The Istanbul office may apply Interpol to issue a red notice against those individuals abroad.

In the wake of the July 2016 failed coup attempt, tens of thousands of FETÖ suspects have been tossed in the calaboose
Please don't kill me!
, including many in the armed forces, police, judicial system, education and business sector.

According to Turkey’s government, FETÖ under the U.S.-based Islamic preacher Fethullah Gulen

India-Pakistan
10 held, FIRs registered as lynched student laid to rest
[DAWN] MARDAN/SWABI: The Mardan police on Friday nabbed
... anything you say can and will be used against you, whether you say it or not...
10 people on the charge of involvement in the lynching of a journalism student of the Abdul Wali Khan University over blasphemy charges.

Also in the day, Mashal Khan was laid to rest in native Zaida village of Swabi district.

A mob consisting of hundreds of university students had killed the student on campus on Thursday by lynching over the allegations of blasphemy triggering a nationwide uproar.

An official of Mardan’s Sheikh Maltun cop shoppe said two FIRs of the lynching incident had been registered.

He said 20 people, including four officials and 16 Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan students, were named in the FIRs, while 10 of them had been taken into custody.

The official said the suspects were identified through video footage of the incident, while the police had formed three teams to arrest the other suspects.

When contacted, Mardan DSP Ikhtiraz Khan confirmed the registration of FIRs, one about the lynching and other about the unidentified protesters interfering in the affairs of the state, blocking the university’s main routes and gates, and ransacking the campus.

The AWKU provost told Dawn that the university had formed a committee first to find out the ’real causes and motives’ behind the killing of the student and second to ascertain if two other students were involved in the blasphemy or not.

Lynching of Mardan university student over blasphemy allegations 'cold-blooded murder', says Nisar
[DAWN] Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan
...Currently the Interior Minister of Pakistain. He is the senior leader of the Pak Moslem League (N) and a close aide to Nawaz Uncle Fester Sharif. He is noted for his vocal anti-American railing in the National Assembly. However (comma) Khan told the U.S. ambassador that he was in fact pro-American but he and the PML-N would have to be critical of US actions in order to remain publicly credible. Khan cited his wife and children's US citizenship as proof, which means he's lying to one side or the other and probably both. He wears a wig, but you probably guessed that. since hair doesn't grow naturally in that shape or texture...
on Saturday expressed disappointment over the "cold-blooded murder" of Mashal Khan -- a 23-year-old journalism student lynched by an angry mob on Thursday over blasphemy allegations in Mardan -- saying it is "unfortunate that people who are behind [his murder] are associating religion" with the act.

Terming it as a "blatant murder", the interior minister, while addressing a presser in Islamabad, said it was the "law of the jungle" given the manner the young university student was killed.

"Even if the accusations against someone are true, there is a process [to pursue the case]," he added.

"Islam is a model; it has a framework of justice," Nisar said, adding that the religion does not "permit" any maltreatment of a "non-Moslem" or "even an atheist".

"I think the provincial government has taken the right decision to call a judicial inquiry," the interior minister added, saying that this is an appropriate way to go about it.

Imam at Swabi mosque refused to read Mashal's last rites
[DAWN] At Mashal Khan's funeral, the imam at the local mosque refused to read the last rites, according to Swabi resident Salman Ahmed. A technician who was asked to do so in the holy man's place was confronted by several people afterwards.

Mashal has since been buried, but his ransacked university hostel room still has posters of Karl Marx and Che Guevara still hanging on the walls, along with scribbled quotes including one that reads: "Be curious, crazy and mad."

The day before his death, a heated debate over religion with fellow students broke out at the dorm and led to people accusing Mashal of blasphemy against Islam. That attracted a crowd that grew to several hundred people, according to witnesses.

The mob kicked in the door, dragged Mashal from his room and beat him to death, witnesses and police said.

Mashal's death is the latest violence linked to accusations of blasphemy in Pakistain.

Those who knew Mashal described him as an intellectually curious student who openly professed devotion to Islam but asked many questions.

"Whatever he had to say, he would say it openly, but he didn't understand the environment he was living in," said one of Mashal's teachers at Abdul Wali Khan University, who declined to be named for fear of retribution.

Nation must be united in condemning Mashal Khan's murder: PM Nawaz
[DAWN] Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif
... served two non-consecutive terms as prime minister, heads the Pakistain Moslem League (Nawaz). Noted for his spectacular corruption, the 1998 Pak nuclear test, border war with India, and for being tossed by General Musharraf...
on Saturday afternoon issued a strongly-worded condemnation of the lynching of a university student in Mardan over allegations of blasphemy.

"I am shocked and saddened by the senseless display of mob justice that resulted in the murder of a young student, Mashal Khan, at Wali Khan University, Mardan," the premier said.

"The state will never tolerate those who take the law in their own hands," he warned.

He also ordered action against those found involved in the incident, directing police to arrest those who were responsible.

"The nation should stand united to condemn this crime and to promote tolerance and rule of law in the society," the prime minister said.

"No father should have to send his child off to be educated, with the fear of having him return in a coffin."

Ulema from all sects should unanimously condemn misuse of blasphemy law: Mufti Naeem
[DAWN] Mufti Naeem, head of Jamia Binoria, on Saturday said Learned Elders of Islam from all sects in the country should unanimously condemn acts of violence originating from the misuse of the blasphemy law.

He also said the Learned Elders of Islam should issue a statement stating that killing an individual over blasphemy allegations is "against the Shariah as well as the law of Pakistain".

He said this while speaking on a DawnNews programme regarding the murder of Mashal Khan, a 23-year-old journalism student who was stripped, shot, thrown from the second floor of the hostel and brutally beaten to death by an angry mob in Mardan over allegations of blasphemy.

Incidents of violence over blasphemy allegations are becoming common in Pakistain, the religious scholar said. "The blasphemy law is being misused in the country."

"People are losing the value of this (blasphemy) law," the mufti added, saying that religious extremism could only be eliminated if the judicial system in the country is strengthened.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Ankara offers new Raqqa plan to US excluding YPG
[Hurriyet Daily News] Turkish Defense Minister Fikri Isik has paid a quick visit to Washington in order to propose a new plan over an operation to liberate Syria’s Raqqa from jihadists without making use of Syrian Kurdish People’s Protection Unit (YPG) forces.

Isik came to Washington on the grounds that Ankara’s message on the topic was not comprehended well enough by the new government after U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson’s visit to Ankara two weeks ago.
If you shout louder it will help that stupid President Trump understand, Minister Isik. I hope you also brought a notarized list of the Gulenists embedded like ticks among America's politicians and bureaucrats. The president will be astonished.
Meeting U.S. Secretary of Defense James Mattis in Washington, Isik put forth a new plan for the liberation of Raqqa from Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
of Iraq and the Levant (ISIS) turbans that does not comprise the Syrian Kurdish Democratic Union Party (PYD) and its military wing, the YPG, both of which The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire....
regards as terrorist organizations due to their ties with the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK).
Not the president? Well, I imagine he was having a busy day.
Turkey and the U.S. are at odds over the designation of the YPG and PYD and despite Turkey’s efforts to designate the two groups as terrorists, the U.S. sees the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), which is mainly comprised of YPG forces, as effective partners on the ground in their fight against ISIS.

Speaking at a panel organized by the SETA Foundation for Political, Economic and Social Research after his meeting with Mattis, Isik said the meeting was a "friendly negotiation."
In other words, our friend the Turkish defense minister did not get what he came for.
