[Al Jazeera] The leader of Yemen's Houthi ...a Zaidi Shia insurgent group operating in Yemen. They have also been referred to as the Believing Youth. Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi is said to be the spiritual leader of the group and most of the military leaders are his relatives. The Yemeni government has accused the Houthis of having ties to the Iranian government, which wouldn't suprise most of us. The group has managed to gain control over all of Saada Governorate and parts of Amran, Al Jawf and Hajjah Governorates. Its slogan is God is Great, Death to America™, Death to Israel, a curse on the Jews ... group has marked with a defiant speech the eve of the third anniversary of the day his fighters stormed into the capital Sanaa.
Appearing on the Houthi-run Al Masirah TV on Wednesday, Abdel-Malek al-Houthi criticised the Saudi-led coalition opposing his fighters, who control large expanses of territory and took Sanaa on what they consider the "September 21 revolution".
Houthi accused the US, Soddy Arabia ...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face... and the UAE of seeking to divide Yemen ...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of. Except for a tiny handfull of Jews everthing there is very Islamic... by working with local groups and the internationally recognised government of Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi to seize control of territory controlled by his fighters.
"The Emiratis are the front for the Americans," Houthi said. "And today they are stealing Yemen’s natural gas, despite the suffering of the Yemeni people.
"There are a lot of islands today which have been handed over by the foreign agents and traitors of this country to the Emiratis, and they made bases on them, some of them shared bases with the Americans."
On Thursday, hundreds of thousands of Houthi supporters rallied in Sanaa.
Speaking from Sanaa, Hakim al-Masmai, editor of the Yemen Post, said that despite the size of the crowd, the absence of Houthi allies such as the party of President-for-Life Ali Abdullah Saleh ... Saleh initially took power as a strongman of North Yemen in 1977, when disco was in flower, but he didn't invite Donna Summer to the inauguration and Blondie couldn't make it... , the former president, was conspicuous.
"This is a very clear division in Sanaa between the two allies at a time where the Houthis are gathering to show their strength after three years of Saudi-led air strikes," Masmari told Al Jazeera.
The Saudi-led coalition launched its air campaign against the Iran-allied Shia Houthi fighters in March 2015, and simultaneously enforced an air and sea blockade of Yemen.
"The Houthi fighters control about 30-40 percent of Yemen's territories," Masmari said.
"They are still powerful on the ground."
More than 10,000 civilians have been killed in the fighting.

[IsraelTimes] Mehdi Nemmouche, alleged killer of four in 2014 attack, has been in solitary confinement without trial for three years
The lawyer of a Frenchie accused of shooting dead four people at a Jewish Museum in Belgium says his client may have a brain tumor and is being denied medical treatment.
According to various cadaver studies done over the years, about 20% of us will die with an undiagnosed, symptom-free tumour in our brains, so the odds are good that Mr. Nemmouche's lawyer is both correct and raising a non-issue.
Mehdi Nemmouche is suspected of gunning down the four with an assault weapon in the Brussels museum in May 2014. He has been in solitary confinement without trial for three years.
It doesn't matter whether or not a brain tumour exists -- his brain has already turned to mush and dribbled out of his ears.
Lawyer Sebastien Courtoy said Thursday that a medical expert believes Nemmouche should have medical tests and scans. Courtoy said his client is going blind and deaf but that the prison is refusing treatment.
Courtoy said Nemmouche is incapable of attending or following a trial. No trial is likely before September 2018.
He said: "There won’t be a Nemmouche trial. There’ll be a sham Nemmouche trial."
On May 24, 2014, Nemmouche is believed to have opened fire in the entrance hall of the museum in the center of the Belgian capital, killing two Israeli tourists, a French volunteer and a Belgian museum receptionist.
The museum reopened four months later under heavy security.

He was arrested during a routine customs inspection with a bag full of weapons similar to the ones used at the museum.

French authorities have identified him as one of the jihadists who kept four French journalists hostage until they were freed in April 2014 in Syria.

Following a translated interview with Erdogan, U.S. TV show PBS NewsHour reported that the Ottoman Turkish president had said Trump had "said he was sorry" for the incident in May, in which Erdogan’s security detail brawled with protesters outside the Ottoman Turkish ambassador’s residence in Washington.
The Sept. 19 report prompted the White House to deny that Trump had made such an apology during a telephone call between the leaders.
Following the May 16 confrontation during Erdogan’s previous visit to the U.S., a grand jury indicted 19 people, including 15 Ottoman Turkish security guards.
Erdogan condemned the indictment after it was announced earlier this month, saying "it is clearly a scandalous sign of how justice works in America."

In a statement in New York, Erdogan said the sanctions Turkey will impose will not be "ordinary" but did not give details. He also informed that the cabinet will convene on the same day in order to register advisory decisions of the MGK as the official rules.
Along with Erdogan, Prime Minister Binali Yildirim, deputy prime ministers, defense and foreign ministers as well as Chief of General Staff Gen. Hulusi Akar, all force commanders and National Intelligence Organization (MIT) head Hakan Fidan will join the MGK meeting.
Turkey and the KRG have developed a bilateral political, economic and energy relationship in the last 10 years after the latter has been designated as an autonomous region under the new Iraqi constitution. The trade volume between the two has exceeded $8 billion as Turkey intensified its oil trade with the autonomous region despite Baghdad’s opposition. The Habur border gate on the Turkey-Iraq line is one of the busiest border gates in the region.

I believe that our friends from the U.S. would see the real face of this organization in the not-so-distant future," he added.
Erdogan also said that some groups supported the spread of FETÖ’s lies due to hostility against him, the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) and Turkey.
"The organization continues its black propaganda activities from both the U.S. and different areas across the world at full steam. Reality is an antidote of lies. There is no darkness that can resist the reality of sunlight," he added.
Erdogan and Trump are scheduled to meet at 10:00 p.m. in the Lotte New York Palace Hotel and make a joint statement, said sources from the presidency, who spoke on conditions of anonymity due to restrictions on speaking to the media.

[DAWN] Former president Pervez Perv Musharraf ... former dictator of Pakistain, who was less dictatorial and corrupt than any Pak civilian government to date ... on Thursday directly accused PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari of being complicit in Benazir Bhutto ... 11th Prime Minister of Pakistain in two non-consecutive terms from 1988 until 1990 and 1993 until 1996. She was the daughter of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, founder of the Pakistain People's Party, who was murdered at the instigation of General Ayub Khan. She was murdered in her turn by person or persons unknown while campaigning in late 2007. Suspects include, to note just a few, Baitullah Mehsud, General Pervez Musharraf, the ISI, al-Qaeda in Pakistain, and her husband, Asif Ali Zardari, who shows remarkably little curiosity about who done her in... 's liquidation, reasoning he had "the most to gain from [it]", in a bombshell statement posted to his party's social media page.
"Asif Ali Zardari is responsible for the Bhutto family's demise. He was involved in the deaths of Benazir and Murtaza Bhutto," Musharraf said in a video posted to his official Facebook page.
The retired general said he was speaking out because he "could not tolerate" the fact that Zardari had recently directly accused him of being responsible for the murder.
Saying that he wanted to directly address the three Bhutto-Zardari children, the Bhutto family and the people of Sindh, Musharraf argued: "Every time there is a murder, the first thing that needs to be seen is who has the most to gain from the death. In this case, I had everything to lose as I was in power and the murder put my government in a difficult situation," he said.
"There was just one person who had everything to gain from Benazir's liquidation, and that was Asif Ali Zardari," he continued, proceeding into what he termed as his 'analysis' of the case.
"Zardari was in power for five years: why did he not look into the case? Why was the investigation not active? [That is] because he was involved in Benazir's murder."
Going further, Musharraf said: "The evidence is clear that Baitullah Mehsud and his people were involved in the murder; but who had asked them to target Benazir Bhutto? It could not have been me ‐ the group hated me, and the feeling was mutual."
"It is a known fact that I wanted Mehsud dead ‐ so did the Government of Pakistain ‐ after his group had attempted to kill me," Musharraf revealed.
"Zardari, on the other hand, had a great relationship with former Afghan president Hamid Maybe I'll join the Taliban Karzai ...A product, probably the sole product, of the Southern Alliance... ‐ a link he could have used to influence Mehsud and his people," he said.
