Trump Unleashes CIA Kill Teams In Afghanistan
[DAILYCALLER] CIA paramilitary forces are expanding partner operations in Afghanistan to hunt and kill high level Taliban
...the Pashtun equivalent of men...
operatives, The New York Times

...which still proudly displays Walter Duranty's Pulitzer prize...

reports.

These CIA missions will reportedly include both paramilitary personnel of the CIA along with U.S. special operations forces detailed to the agency for specific missions. The use of special operations forces allows hunter killer teams to call in air support, if necessary, as they hunt Taliban bomb-makers across the country.

The loosening of restrictions on CIA ground operations in Afghanistan is part of a broader push by President Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States...
’s administration to accelerate pressure on Talibs. Trump previously loosened CIA dronezap rules in Afghanistan that will now allow for some civilian casualties relative to the importance of the target.

The U.S. will adopt a conditions not timeline based approach in Afghanistan with an overall strategy to push Talibs to the negotiating table with the Afghan national government, Trump declared in an Aug 21 address. The Taliban, however, have little reason to negotiate after banner years in the Afghan war. The group controls more territory than at any time since the U.S. invasion in 2001 along with nearly a third of the Afghan population.

Meanwhile, both tactical and strategic intelligence in support of SOF Foreign Internal Defense (FID) missions in Niger goes lacking.

Has someone has forgotten their mission? Perhaps there is some way the CIA could establish some sort of 'para-intelligence' capability whilst they play unconventional warfare ?

I am old enough to remember (in the not too distant past), the Klingons turning up their noses at military types, even former military personnel within their ranks. My how times have changed.

#3  Why does anybody think that Talbunnies want to negotiate? And if they did that they would honor the deal?

Wishful thinking.

Knock them off faster than they can be trained. Destroy the drug fields, choke off money.

Finding Bergdahl – The Final Chapter
[DangerousMagazine] In the fifth and final chapter of this saga we go deep inside the back room negotiations to release Bergdahl and the controversy that would await him after his release.

by Robert Young Pelton

By late 2013 Bowe Bergdahl had been a prisoner of the Haqqani’s in Pakistan for almost half a decade. According to Bergdahl’s account, he fought back , he refused to convert, refused to eat cooked food (an insult to Pashtuns) and he refused to bathe. He escaped multiple times ending up in a small cage. Like most of his decisions, he ended up choosing the one that would make it harder on him.

Bergdahl had no idea how to deal with being a hostage in a region where kidnapping was perfected as part of the culture. Just in-country and eager to understand the strange land he quickly began to dislike his commander and in June 2009 he left his small group of 33 soldiers to walk 30 kilometers north to the unit’s headquarters and file an official report on his unit. The naive US soldier was quickly kidnapped and after some clumsy attempts by tribesmen to trade him to the base commander he was hustled over the border to Pakistan. My previous chapters 1, 2, 3 and 4 were published in Vice to detail this extraordinary event. I chose to ignore Bergdah and let him tell his own story. My focus was learning from the insiders who tried to help, and sometimes hinder, his torturous path to freedom. Bowe Bergdahl has now told part of his story in a bizarre Hollywood discussion with a producer and again through a detailed video interview with former hostage Sean Langan but his story is only beginning to be told.

The story of Bergdahl and the efforts to free him also are tossed in an ocean of angry condemnation, biased news reports, slanted commentary and stern accusations from five years of speculation on Bowe Bergdahl’s motives and that is then whipped up into a by a storm of personal agendas that sunk any chances of Bergdahl had of ever being understood calmly and fairly.

Um, Bergdahl was like stupid and deserted...ran away...stabbing his unit in the back...that was his personal agenda.

And like, Obama traded the five highest ranking Taliban war criminals for this like minded deserter...stabbing the US in the back...that appeared to be Obama's personal agenda...and I don't understand it.

This is not the end of this story...those five war criminals will return to the battlefield...if they haven't already done so...and they will do their damndest to kill US troops. That means even as I write this, an American soldier(s) is enjoying his life...that will be brutally taken from him by the future actions of these released war criminals.

Turkish soldier killed in PKK attack in southeast
[Ynet] A Ottoman Turkish military vehicle was hit by an improvised bomb in the southeastern province of Hakkari, killing one soldier, security sources said on Monday.

The device exploded by murderous Moslems of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) as the vehicle was passing the road near The Sick Man of Europe Turkey

Turkey's largely Kurdish southeast has been rocked by violence following the collapse of a 2-1/2-year ceasefire between the state and the PKK in 2015.

Keep a 'wary eye' on U.S. travel visas, Goodale tells American counterpart
Y'all elected Pretty Boy Trudeau, and isn't he just full of bright ideas.
[CBC] Ralph Goodale says some migrants colonists are obtaining U.S. travel visas for the sole purpose of coming to Canada

Canada's Public Safety Minister has told his American counterpart to keep a "wary eye" on the travel visas it issues to the United States.

In an interview Sunday with CBC News, Goodale said Canadian officials have identified trends where documents issued from certain U.S. embassies and consulates are being misused.

"We have asked them to go back upstream and examine the pattern of these travel documents being issued and how come the people to whom they were issued appear to have had no intention of staying in the United States, but were simply using the documents as vehicles to get into the United States and then make a beeline for the Canadian border," Goodale explained.

While the minister refused to identify diplomatic missions that have been problematic, Nigeria is one place where people obtained visas to visit the U.S. with the intention of heading to Canada.

The minister said acting Secretary of Homeland Security Elaine Duke was very receptive to the suggestion and indicated the U.S. is also looking at putting up signs at irregular crossings on its side of the border with messages to dissuade those seeking asylum in Canada.

"They're examining what they can do to communicate," Goodale said.

In a news release today about the meeting at the G7 summit of interior ministers in Ischia, Italia, the department of homeland security reported Duke and Goodale talked about "joint steps to take to address illegal migration across their shared border."

Goodale said he asked Duke to consider alerting Canadian authorities when the U.S. is about to make policy decisions that would affect the border, in order to give agencies such as border services time to prepare.

This summer, thousands of Haitians streamed into Quebec at an illegal border crossing after the United States announced it would not extend temporary protected status for Haitians who have lived in that country since the devastating 2010 earthquake.

Does anyone remember the want to be Muzzie LAX bomber caught at the Canadian border? Or the attempted 9-11 style multi airliner (3-5) plot?

Initially I was chuckling this morning. After all, which Canada military base was turned over to the Moohamians?

Honestly I think it's a matter of time before Islamics hit the Mall of America (oddly enough built by 2 Canadian brothers).

Maryland governor Larry Hogan signs anti-BDS order
[Arutz Sheva] Maryland governor Larry Hogan signed an executive order on Monday barring the state from doing business with companies that boycott Israeli communities in Judea and Samaria, Haaretz reported.

Hogan had previously attempted to pass such a policy through the state's legislator, but it had fallen short without even coming up for a vote, the report said.

In a press conference, Hogan said that the anti-Israel BDS (Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions) movement uses "economic discrimination" against Israel. As a result of his order, contracts signed by the state of Maryland will include language that would make it clear that the company participating in the contract does not engage in boycotts against Israel. Maryland's state pension funds will also divest from such companies, he added.

The Jewish Community Relations Council of Greater Washington expressed support for Hogan's order, calling it "one more sign that he is a true friend to Israel and the Jewish community."

Over the last few years, several U.S. states have advanced legislation against BDS.
The Times of Israel adds:
Last year, New York Gov. Andrew Sonny Cuomo, a Democrat, issued the first executive order in the country that forces state entities to drop investments linked to boycotts of Israel. State legislatures have been passing measures to stop boycotts. So far, 23 states have enacted laws or issued executive orders banning state business with companies that support boycotts.

Underwear bomber Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab sues over treatment in federal prison
[FREEP] The man known as the underwear bomber
... also known as the undiebomber, the pantibomber, and the Christmas Day bomber, for reasons that are obvious...
for trying to blow up a bankrupt, increasingly impoverished, reliably Democrat, Detroit
... ruled by Democrats since 1962. A city whose Golden Age included the Purple Gang...
-bound plane on Christmas day eight years ago with a bomb hidden in his underclothing
...designed by the formerly living AQAP bomb maker Ibrahim al Asiri. It was an experimental design...
has filed a lawsuit alleging his constitutional rights are being violated at a supermax federal prison in Colorado.

Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, a Nigeria native
...a son of one of the richest men in Nigeria, and one of the collection of jihadi whisperer Anwar al-Awlaki, also among the formerly living. He was probably radicalized while studying at University College London...
who became an al-Qaeda operative, alleges he’s being held in long-term solitary confinement, has been forced to eat foods forbidden by his religion, endured harassment yelled by white supremacist inmates saying things offensive to Moslems and has been prohibited from communicating with relatives, including nieces and nephews.
Given that his Pops tried unsuccessfully to report him to the American authorities as a terrorist via the local American embassy, it is highly likely that his various relatives have absolutely no interest in communicating with him, so no prevention occurred.
"Prison walls do not form a barrier separating prison inmates from the protections of the United States Constitution," his 73-page lawsuit said.

It was filed last week in federal court in Colorado against U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions, the Federal Bureau of Prisons and Joe Does 1 through 20. Spokespeople for the Bureau of Prisons and the U.S. Department of Justice declined to comment on the case.

Abdulmutallab is serving four life prison terms in Florence, Colo., the highest-security prison in the country.

He tried to detonate a bomb on a flight carrying more than 300 people, but his plan was foiled when passengers and crew members overcame him on Dec. 25, 2009, as the plane flew over Woodhaven as it approached Metro Airport. The incident caused burns to Abdulmutallab's genitals and legs.

Iraq PM's office rejects Tillerson's call for Iran-backed militias to ‘go home'
[RT] In a tight-lipped statement, Baghdad rejected a call by US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson for Iran-backed Shia militias to "go home" after the demise of Islamic State in Iraq.

Earlier on Sunday, Rex Tillerson said at a rare meeting with top Iraqi and Saudi Arabian officials that Iraq’s Shiite militias ‐ also known as Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) ‐ and their Iranian advisers need to leave Iraq as the struggle against Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) is nearing an end.

But Baghdad seems reluctant to go along with Washington’s request, judging by a polite but robust remark made on Monday by Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi’s office.

"No party has the right to interfere in Iraqi matters," the statement posted on Facebook reads. It added that many PMU members were native Iraqis who made "enormous sacrifices to defend their country and the Iraqi people."

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Germany approves sale of three Thyssenkrupp submarines to Israel
[Ynet] Memorandum of understanding signed for estimated $2 billion deal; new submarines to go into service from 2027 and join six other submarines Israel has purchased from Germany in the past.

The German government has approved the sale of three Thyssenkrupp submarines to Israel and will provide financial support for the purchase, government front man Steffen Seibert told a regular news conference on Monday.

The estimated $2 billion deal is under police investigation in Israel over suspected corruption and several public officials and private citizens have been questioned in the case.

The 2016 deal has been under public scrutiny since it emerged that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's personal lawyer, David Shimron, also represented Thyssenkrup Marine System's local agent, Miki Ganor, raising concerns of a conflict of interest.

The attorney has denied wrongdoing and said he never discussed the deal with Netanyahu. Israel's justice ministry said in February that Netanyahu himself was not a suspect.

Seibert said Germany would make a contribution of up to 540 million euros to help finance Israel's purchase, noting Berlin's "historical responsibility toward the state of Israel."

Seibert said an inter-governmental memorandum of understanding approving the deal would be signed later on Monday, adding the two sides agreed not to disclose details.

Netanyahu welcome the signing of the memorandum of understanding (MOU), noting that "The MOU is strategically important to the security of Israel. Its signing reflects the commitment of Germany and Chancellor Angela Merkel
...current chancellor of Germany and the impetus behind Germany's remarkably ill-starred immigration program. Merkel used to be referred to by Germans as Mom. Now they make faces at her for inundating the country with Moslems ..
to the security of Israel and the deep cooperation between the two countries."

Israel already ordered six submarines from Germany over the past two decades. The three new submarines are expected to go into service from 2027.

Hamas leader’s visit to Iran defies Israeli condition on Palestinian unity
[IsraelTimes] US peace envoy slams Saleh al-Arouri for vowing not to cut ties with Tehran, says 'Paleostinians deserve so much better than this'

A top Hamas, a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth", official defiantly rejected Israel’s conditions for recognizing Hamas-Paleostinian Authority unity, noting that the very act he was committing ‐ an official visit to Iran ‐ went against the conditions.

"Our presence in Iran is the practical denial of the third precondition ‐ cutting ties with Iran," said Saleh al-Arouri, the deputy chief of the terrorist organization controlling the Gazoo Strip, according to Rooters, which quoted Iranian news wires.

Arouri, who was in Iran over the weekend, also committed Hamas to rejecting the other two conditions, disarming and recognizing Israel.

The Trump administration has encouraged the unity talks ‐ while also embracing Israel’s conditions ‐ seeing the Paleostinian Authority’s return to control in Gazoo as key to advancing peace talks.

US President Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States...
’s top negotiator, Jason Greenblatt, decried Arouri’s defiance in posts Monday on Twitter.

"Hamas, which has only brought ruin and misery to Paleostinians, now begs Iran for help and again vows to destroy Israel," Greenblatt said. "Paleostinians deserve so much better than this. We must find a better path forward toward peace and prosperity."
