French Antifa calls for ‘striking a blow’ in Paris over US Jerusalem recognition
[IsraelTimes] Far-left group rails against 'colonization' of holy city, which it says belongs only to Paleostinians; calls for protests on Saturday.

Noting that CRIF, the umbrella group of French Jewish communities, "is asking President Emmanuel Macron to also recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, we can strike a blow against the imperialist West from within the belly of the beast," the Gay Paree Antifa
...the armed wing of the Democratic Party...
group wrote in a call on Facebook, inviting supporters to a demonstration at Republique square on Saturday "against the colonization of Jerusalem."

The invitation ended with the words: "Al Quds belongs to the Paleostinians, Paleostine stretches from the sea to the Jordan River."

Macron has said that La Belle France "does not approve" of Trump’s policy on Jerusalem.

#1  Grom Jr. started studying French in school. I think it's a terrible waste - by the time he's grown up there won't be France. The country called France today will be known as West Morocco.

#2  In my opinion the media gives these people too much attention. In my opinion it is a small minority of crazies causing all the trouble. Look how ISIS has folded. Now and then new blood enlivens them but is spent quickly. The majority plods along just doing the everyday business of life. ISIS leaders are merely a pin prick on the butt of humanity.

#3  by the time he's grown up there won't be France.

Translators will be needed for the emigrés when the time comes, g(r)omgoru — and not just the Jewish ones. Francophone Canada has had an influx from France in recent years, as have London and New York City.

It began with those fleeing Holland’s confiscatory taxes, but that will not be how it ends.

#6  Notice how they start by objecting to recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, but end with a statement that Israel shouldn't exist.

That gives the game away, guys.

The Grand Turk
Erdogan’s landmark Greece visit gets off to rocky start
[DAWN] Greece and The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire....
on Thursday agreed to work on confidence-boosting measures after a rocky start to a landmark two-day state visit to Athens by Ottoman Turkish President Sultan Recep Tayyip Erdogan the First
... Turkey's version of Mohammed Morsi but they voted him back in so they deserve him. It's a sin, a shame, and a felony to insult the president of Turkey...
.Erdogan, making the first visit to Greece by a Ottoman Turkish head of state in 65 years, had earlier angered his hosts with talk of revising borders and complaints about Greece’s treatment of its Moslem minority.
Contrariwise, Turkey does not allow the remaining Greek Orthodox Christians within its borders to import priests and bishops from outside the country, nor to maintain a seminary for them within it, but that is as it should be.
"We agreed to resume talks on confidence-building and security measures," Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras said at a news conference after a long meeting with Erdogan.

The longtime Ottoman Turkish leader had said Athens was neglecting the minority with Ottoman Turkish origins living in northern Greece.

Erdogan also accused the European Union
...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing...
of ignoring promises of financial support given last year in return for Turkey’s help in stemming refugee flows to Europe.

Greek President Prokopis Pavlopoulos, one of the country’s foremost law experts, said Athens had no intention of revising the 1923 Treaty of Lausanne, a defining document in Greek-Ottoman Turkish relations, as Erdogan has repeatedly suggested. "This treaty is non-negotiable for us... it requires no revision nor update," he said.

Separately, Tsipras joked that another nine countries would have to be chased down to revise the treaty, including Japan.

But Erdogan insisted that agreements can be "updated" and claimed that Greece was failing to adhere to the treaty in respect to the Moslem minority.

Contrary to the treaty, Athens appoints religious jurists known as muftis instead of allowing the local community to do so, Erdogan said. "Protecting the rights of our fellow ethnic (Turks) is a top priority for us," he said.

Turkish Army prepares to invade Kurdish enclave in northwest Aleppo
[ALMASDARNEWS] The Ottoman Turkish Army has been building up their forces around the northwestern countryside of the Aleppo Governorate these past two months, raising concerns inside the Afrin Canton of a possible invasion soon.

Week after week, the Ottoman Turkish Army has been sending convoys comprised of 100+ soldiers to the outskirts of the PYD governed Afrin Canton, where they have built military posts around several roadways.

While this region is considered part of the de-escalation zone, the Ottoman Turkish Army has ignored the ceasefire and carried out several attacks against the predominately Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG).

Despite support from the U.S. in other parts of the country, the YPG is surrounded and cutoff from their forces in other provinces, making it difficult to withstand a potential siege.

Ottoman Turkish President Sultan Recep Tayyip Erdogan the First

...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire....
's version of Mohammed Morsi but they voted him back in so they deserve him. It's a sin, a shame, and a felony to insult the president of Turkey...

considers the YPG an offshoot of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK), which is his justification for his army’s aggression towards the Kurdish forces in Syria.

Safdar can’t chair meeting hearing allegation against himself: MNA
[DAWN] The Pakistain Peoples Party has asked National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq to restrict retired Capt Muhammad Safdar from adjudicating an allegation against him (Capt Safdar) that he gave Tehrik-e-Labaik Ya Rasool Allah Rs50 million over the Faizabad sit-in.

In a letter to the speaker, MNA Shazia Marri has asked how an MNA could convene the meeting when the agenda item was clearly related to an allegation against him and it was a blatant example of conflict of interest.

The letter is available with Dawn.

It is worth noting here that the meeting of the NA Standing Committee on Information Technology and Telecommunication has been scheduled for Dec 11 at Parliament House.

The notice of the meeting, which has five agenda points shows that one of the points includes a briefing/discussion on alleged videotape which shows the supply of Rs50m to the Faizabad sit-in leaders by Mr Safdar. It is also mentioned that the meeting of the standing committee will be chaired by Mr Safdar.

In the letter MNA Marri, who is also a member of the committee, has said that she wants to lodge her protest against conflict of interest as the person who has been facing the allegation will chair the meeting in which the matter against him will be discussed.

"I fail to understand how an MNA can convene the meeting when the agenda item is clearly related to an allegation against him? This is a blatant example of conflict of interest, which sadly is not being realised. For more information, the notice for this meeting is a revised one that was issued on the 6th of December, 2017, while the earlier notice was issued on the 30th of November, 2017, where the agenda did not bear the item mentioned above," she has stated in the letter.

"Therefore, I request you to kindly intervene in order to ensure that the person being alleged of an offence is not allowed to act as judge in his own case. Your cooperation would be highly appreciated," she said.

Supporters of a religious group in November reached Islamabad and held a sit-in at Faizabad interchange. They announ-ced that they will not disperse unless then law minister Zahid Hamid resigned. On Nov 25 the district administration tried to remove them by using force but the operation badly failed as a large number of officials of law enforcement agencies were maimed. After that the law minister had to resign and protesters were dispersed.

Defiant Haley chides fuming Security Council members: ’Change is hard’
[IsraelTimes] At session on Trump's recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital, US envoy says those who use violence show they don't want peace; Paleostinians demand move be rescinded

At an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council on Friday, the US Ambassador to the United Nations
...where theory meets practice and practice loses...
Nikki Haley
...Trump administration's ambassador to the UN. First woman to serve as Governor of South Carolina, and the second Indian-American governor in the country, after Bobby Jindal of Louisiana. At the age of 39, Haley was the youngest governor in the U.S., a distinction formerly held by Jindal. She is a Republican, which really grates on the Dems...
said President Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States...
knew his decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital would raise "questions and concerns," but that he took it to advance peace between Israel and the Paleostinians.

"I understand the concerns that members have in calling this session," Haley said. "Change is hard."

Washington’s move left it isolated as one after another fellow UN Security Council members ‐ Russia, La Belle France, the UK, China, Egypt, Jordan and a host of others ‐ condemned the announcement.

The debate unfolded at a largely symbolic emergency meeting of the council ‐ no vote on a resolution was planned, as the US has veto power ‐ two days after Trump reversed two decades of US policy on the holy city.

Haley said anyone who used Washington’s actions as a pretext for violence was "only showing" they were not partners for peace.

At the meeting, UN coordinator for the Middle East grinding of the peace processor Nickolay Mladenov warned that if the Israeli-Paleostinian conflict isn’t resolved, "it risks being engulfed in the vortex of religious radicalism throughout the Middle East."

Mladenov also reiterated Secretary-General Antonio Guterres’s words that the Israeli-Paleostinian conflict must be resolved through direct negotiations and that "there is no Plan B to the two-state solution."
Given that President Trump talked to a great many parties about this ahead of time, and was not persuaded by their arguments then, all this seems very much to be posturing for the folks back home.

Iraq
Infighting takes place among Islamic State members in Diyala: Official
Diyala (IraqiNews.com) An official from Diyala province has indicated infighting among the members of Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
members in several regions.

"The sleeper cells of IS deployed in four regions in Diyala, including Hamreen, Waqf basin, al-Zour and al-Nada basin, have recently witnessed internal disputes as leaders seek dominating the whole group," Sadiq al-Husseini, head of the security committee of Diyala provincial council, told AlSumaria News on Friday.

"IS in Diyala disappears after its military presence is eliminated . Only sporadic cells are there," Husseini added.

On Wednesday, Husseini said in remarks that an intelligence team managed to infiltrate the Hamreen Mountains area and killed IS commando chief in the province.

Being an area of tough geography, Hamreen served as a suitable haven for the Lion of Islam group.

An IS leader and his lover companion were reportedly killed last week as festivities broke out between the group’s elite leaders in Um al-Sharr in Mutaibija, on borders between Diyala and Salahuddin.

IS claims over 115 US casualties in Syria, Iraq
[ALMASDARNEWS] The so-called Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
(IS) released an info-graph on Friday that alleged their forces inflicted 115+ casualties on the U.S. military in Iraq, Syria, and Afghanistan.

In addition to the 115 casualties, Is alleged they have destroyed at least 10 tanks and military vehicles, while also carrying out eight suicide operations behind enemy lines.

IS would not stop there, they would conclude that their forces also foiled at least five US air landings in Afghanistan, Kirkuk (Iraq), and Raqqa (Syria).

The U.S. forces often releases information regarding their casualties and loss of military equipment, so the Islamic State’s claims are very likely exaggerated and/or false.
