[Breitbart] Chief Deputy Coroner Charlie Boseman says a 17-year-old home invasion suspect did not survive the shotgun blast that greeted him early Thursday morning. The incident on Sugar Hill Street in Anderson County, South Carolina.
According to WYFF, Boseman said the suspect - Demacio Robertson and two other individuals "broke into the home" around 2 am. Once inside, Robertson moved toward the back of the house "and was shot through the bedroom door."
Boseman said that Robertson "stumbled outside and was found in the yard." He was pronounced dead approximately 35 minutes later at a local hospital.
WSPA reports that Robertson "was shot in the stomach with a shotgun." The two other suspects fled upon hearing the blast. One individual has since been "detained" for questioning and the hunt for the other suspect is ongoing.

Police were on the hunt Tuesday for a man who set fire to a veiled British woman’s clothing in Manhattan, as the American Moslem community says it faces growing Islamophobia ...the irrational fear that Moslems will act the way they usually do... The attack took place late Saturday in front of a luxury boutique on 5th Avenue in Midtown Manhattan.
The British woman, age 35, said she was walking when she suddenly felt her shirt sleeve on fire.
Police declined to provide further details on the attack, saying only that they were investigating a potential hate crime. On Monday, the police released images of the incident caught by surveillance cameras and asked the public to help find the suspect.
The New York branch of the Council on American-Islamic Relations ... the Moslem Brüderbund's American arm ... , which is in touch with the victim and is providing legal help, said it could not confirm whether the suspect was motivated by anti-Moslem sentiment, though his victim was wearing a hijab at the time.
"It’s another (piece of) evidence that Moslems are increasingly vulnerable in this hostile political climate," said Zainab Chaudry, a CAIR ...designated a terrorist group by the UAE... spokeswoman.
"Even in places like New York City, one of the most diverse in the US, we are seeing a spike in anti-Moslem bigotry."
In August, a holy man and his assistant were shot to death on the street near their mosque in the borough of Queens. An investigation into that incident has not yet established that it was Islamophobic.
After that attack, Mayor Bill de Blasio announced that additional coppers would be deployed to secure mosques and the Moslem community.
Authorities would not immediately confirm the identity of Saturday’s victim. The New York Post said she was a dentist from Glasgow, Scotland.
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] The new chief prosecutor of an international effort to bring to justice those responsible for atrocities during Kosovo’s battle for independence pledged Thursday to carry out his investigations "without fear or favor."
David Schwendiman, a former US federal prosecutor who has also worked in Bosnia and Afghanistan, told news hounds he is "aware of the political sensitivity of what I am doing," but stressed "I will be guided only by the facts and the law."
Schwendiman was speaking at his first presser since his appointment Sept. 1 as lead prosecutor at the Kosovo Specialist Chambers, a separate branch of the Kosovo courts that will have its headquarters in The Hague, Netherlands.
Schwendiman is investigating allegations made in a 2010 Council of Europe report that senior members of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA), including current Kosovo President Hashim Thaci, ran detention centers where civilian captives including Serbs were killed and their organs sold on the black market during Kosovo’s 1998-99 war for independence from Serbia. Thaci denies the claims.
While the Council of Europe named suspects it alleged were involved in such atrocities, Schwendiman said he would not identify suspects until he was ready to file charges.
"You will know when someone is accused when an indictment or charging document accusing them is made public," he said.
The court’s registrar, Fidelma Donlon, said it aims to begin "judicial activity" in the first half of next year. That will likely involve judges adopting rules to govern how trials will be run.
Key to the new court’s success will be its ability to protect witnesses willing to testify. United Nations ...boodling on the grand scale... attempts to prosecute former KLA fighters for crimes including murder and torture were largely unsuccessful because of what judges called widespread intimidation of witnesses.
Donlon said the court would "implement the highest standards of protection" for witnesses and others involved in trials.
"This is something we take very seriously," she said.

[DAWN] Police say they have incarcerated Maw! They're comin' to get me, Maw! the father, husband and brother of a woman who was tortured and hanged alongside her alleged boyfriend in a family courtyard in the village of Mian Channu in eastern Punjab.
Local police official Allah Ditta said Khalida Bibi, a married mother-of-three, and her alleged boyfriend, 21-year-old Mohammad Mukhtar, were murdered Thursday in a so-called honour killing in their village.
He said the three arrested relatives confessed to killing Bibi and Mukhtar for having an affair.
Ditta gave no further details.

[DAWN] At least four people were killed and several others injured as a passenger train collided with a goods train on late Wednesday night at Buch Railway Station near Multan, rescue officials said.

Peshawar has evolved into one of Pakistan's most ethnically and linguistically diverse cities, which means lots of gunfire. , struck a goods train which was standing on the tracks. Rescue officials said that around 50 injured were shifted to Nishtar Hospital, Multan, while more than 50 were provided first aid on the spot.
Dr. Kaleem, a Rescue Emergency Officer said that the rescue operations had been completed. He added that 40 ambulances, along with 200 rescuers from Lodhran, Muzafar Garh and Multan participated in the operations.
Personnel of the Pakistain Army also participated in the rescue operations.
Saima Khizar, Director Vigilance of Pakistain Railways, Multan Division, said that the affected people were being shifted to Multan through private transport, from where they would be transported to Karachi.

A team of Russian weather experts claim that their station on an ice-covered Arctic isle is "besieged" by polar bears, according to a report by Russian news agency TASS.
The five researchers charged with staffing the outpost on Troynoy Island say that there are about 10 adult polar bears as well as cubs circling their base. A female polar bear spends nights perched outside the station's windows, making it dangerous for the scientists to exit. They have reportedly run out of flares and have lost at least one of their two dogs to the arctic beasts. Relax. The bears are just protesting AGW.

I was told Polar Bears are almost extinct because of global warming. Meddle ye not in the affairs of Polar Bears as ye be crunchy and taste good with ketchup.

I was involved in the transfer of Point Barrow to the locals back in the day.
Point Barrow had a special siren for Polar Bear warnings. The instructions were to close the blinds, shut the windows, turn off the lights and move to the interior corridors and DO NOT MAKE A SOUND.
Seems a full grown Polar Bear snatched a weatherman at Barrow by coming right through the wall of the building he was in.
A human is not at the top of the food chain in those regions. The Polar Bear is the Great White Shark of the Artic...and probably more dangerous.
A Coast Guardsman at Barrow told me they were out on patrol about 100 miles off shore and came across a Polar Bear swimming along...hunting seals. Seems Polar Bears are bouyant and can swim for hundreds of miles without difficulty.
So much for a fragile endangered species, a Polar Bear is not a kangaroo rat or a moth.

Getting rid of polar bears is easy if you know this old Eskimo trick. First you cut a hole in the ice and place peas around the edge. When a polar bear comes up to take a pea, you kick him in the ice hole.

Call for police won't help other than to create more confrontation between them and the 'thug' culture, for which you already sided with. Long past the time for you to look into the mirror and understand you tolerated the environment that created the behavior that has now confronted you.
