[Wash Times] A federal judge has ordered the IRS to finally clean up the tea party targeting mess, giving the tax agency less than a month to decide on a handful of applications that are still pending more than three years after officials first admitted they were targeting the conservative groups and subjecting them to intrusive scrutiny.
The IRS also must file a brief detailing the steps it has taken to prevent further targeting and to make sure the tea party groups don’t face any more fallout from the stigma of having been singled out in the first place, U.S. District Judge Reggie B. Walton said in an order issued late Friday.
Judge Walton ordered final decisions on two applications that have been pending for years and said four other groups that had withdrawn their applications amid the unconstitutional targeting can resubmit and the IRS must decide on those, too, by Nov. 11.
The Albuquerque Tea Party, which filed its application in December 2009, has been waiting nearly seven years. Unite in Action, a Michigan-based group, applied in 2010.
Judge Walton called that "an exorbitant period of time" and said the IRS should have been able to act once it admitted it was targeting the groups.
"These determinations should have been made by now," he said at a hearing last week.

That month will take them past Election Day, which strikes me as unreasonable. I hope the judge can arrange for baliffs to pick up the recalcitrant, should they not comply, and has other punishments in mind for so egregiously misbehaving for so long.

Trump should have been banging the anti-IRS drum a lot more as part of his anti-government insurgency. The agency is weaponized and very un-American.
[SA Today] The 15-year-old daughter of Olympic sprinter Tyson Gay was fatally shot in the neck, authorities and the athlete’s agent said Sunday, and police have arrested a man in connection with the shooting.
Trinity Gay died at the University of Kentucky Medical Center, the coroner’s office for Fayette County said in a statement. The athlete’s agent, Mark Wetmore, confirmed in a text message to The Associated Press that Gay’s daughter had died.
Police on Sunday evening announced that Dvonta Middlebrooks, 21, was arrested and charged with wanton endangerment and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. A statement said investigators determined that Middlebrooks was in the parking lot and fired multiple shots at the time of the incident.
Another man questioned by police has not been charged.
Lexington police said in a statement that officers went to the parking lot of a restaurant near the University of Kentucky campus in Lexington about 4 a.m. Sunday after witnesses reported an exchange of gunfire between two vehicles. Officers located one of the vehicles and stopped two people for questioning, the statement added.
Police spokeswoman Brenna Angel said police don’t believe Trinity Gay was in either of the vehicles involved.

This comes as numerous incidents involving murder of women have been reported during the recent months across the country.
The Talibs executed a 19-year-old girl in Sar-e-Pul province of Afghanistan earlier in August while a 22-year-old woman was rubbed out in July by her relatives on charges of having relations with an stranger over the telephone.
The Afghanistan Independent Human Rights Commission (AIHRC) in its report released late in November last year said "statistic of violence against women, obtained from the registered cases of violence against women during the first six months in 1394 exceeds 2579 cases."
The report further added that figure was reported 2403 cases during the six months in 1393 which shows 7.32 percent increase in 1394, the last solar year.

Police confirmed that a 32-year-old man was nabbed ... anything you say can and will be used against you, whether you say it or not... at a student residence at around 1 a.m. as part of investigations into "recent violence, criminality and acts of intimidation," but declined to reveal his identity pending his appearance in court.
Protests have roiled many South African universities since last month, leading to dozens of arrests, arson and vandalism as well as the suspension of classes at some institutions. While there is widespread support for the idea of free education, the government says it doesn't have the funds and many students would rather study than go along with protesters' calls for disruption.
Still, Dlamini has often delivered fiery ...a single two-syllable word carrying connotations of both incoherence and viciousness. A fiery delivery implies an audience of rubes and yokels, preferably forming up into a mob... speeches to crowds of students who feel the University of the Witwatersrand, a leading university in Africa, is not responsive enough to poor blacks who struggle to pay school bills. They link the problem to the legacy of white minority rule, whose ending in 1994 brought democracy but failed to lift many in the black majority out of poverty.

Funny how the lion's share of top formation commanders in Donetsk and Lugansk have died as a result of assassinations and not in battle. So far neither Zakharchenko, nor Igor Plotnitski, nor anyone one else in the political hierarchy of Donetsk and Lugansk have addressed this contradiction.
Their formation commanders should stay at the front, where it's safer.

[ALMASDARNEWS] The commander of the Sparta battalion of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), Arsen Pavlov aka "Motorola", has reportedly been assassinated by the Ukrainian special forces.
The DPR's Ministry of Defense confirmed his liquidation by an bomb.
"According to preliminary information, Motorola was killed as a result of a terrorist operation of a Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group. Upon returning home, a remote-detonated bomb was set off in the elevator," the Ministry said.
The commander was known because of his involvement on the front lines of some of the most intense battles between the Ukraine forces and its far-right militia allies, and between Russian-backed separatists rebels operating in the eastern Ukrainian regions collectively known as Donbass.

[Al Ahram] Tens of thousands of people have marched in Gay Paree to call for the repeal of a law allowing gay marriage, six months before La Belle France's next presidential election.
The protesters ended up at Trocadero Plaza, near the Eiffel Tower. Police estimated the crowd at 24,000, while organizers gave a figure of 200,000.
They were also protesting Sunday against the use of assisted reproduction techniques and surrogate mothers to help same-sex couples have babies.
Assisted reproduction is allowed in La Belle France only for infertile heterosexual couples and surrogacy is banned.
The group organizing the march presents itself as promoting the traditional family model of "one mother and one father." It hopes to influence the debate before the presidential election next year.
None of the major candidates in the election attended the march.
A small group of bare-breasted Femen demonstrators briefly showed up Sunday during the march to protest against what they call "homophobia." The half-dozen Femen protesters were removed by police.
The 2013 law allowing gay marriage exposed deep divisions in French society, prompting big protests for and against such unions.

Assange implied that Seth Rich was a political murder. No doubt Hillary would like Assange dead. I recall that Bob Beckle (D), formerly of Fox, called for wetwork on Assange a few years back.

Receiving some word that it may have been the Ecuadorians who cut his internet. Apparently their agreement with him staying there involved not created issues or annoying them. [DAWN] LAHORE: A group of young doctors, led by a postgraduate trainee, on Saturday allegedly subjected an elderly patient and his brother to severe torture and later locked them up at a police post inside the Mayo Hospital.
Young Doctors Association Pakistain Secretary General Dr Salman Kazmi confirmed the incident and demanded an impartial inquiry into it so that the offenders could be brought to the book.
Witnesses said the medics, led by Dr Shaharyar Niazi, first beat up 50-year-old patient Waqar Amin in the East Surgical Ward in the presence of other patients and their attendants and then took him to a room in the same unit where some other young doctors joined them to "teach the victim a lesson".
They said no one came to rescue the old man who kept on appealing to attackers for mercy. He was admitted a couple of days back to the ward.
YDA officials condemn the incident
Victim’s brother Waqas Amin told the media that he had gone to market to get some medicine when he was told that a group of young doctors was giving a severe beating to Waqar.
Quoting witnesses, he said Dr Niazi got annoyed when the patient repeatedly complained of severe pain and protested for being ignored.
He said when Waqar cried for help, Mr Niazi slapped him and then beat him up in the presence of other patients.
The duty doctor lost his temper when the patient threatened to take up the matter with the deputy medical superintendent (DMS).
Mr Waqas said Dr Niazi called his colleagues, locked his brother in a room, and beat him up with fists, kicks and slaps.
"As soon as I reached there to rescue my elderly brother, Dr Niazi and his colleagues pounced upon me and also subject me to torture," Waqas said, adding he later approached the DMS and filed a written complaint against the attackers.
On knowing about the complaint, the attackers barged in the DMS office and again thrashed him and his brother in the presence of the admin official, he added.
"Dr Niazi grabbed my brother’s beard and dragged him to the police post where he was locked up by medic even without waiting for the police," Waqas alleged.
A senior doctor of the Mayo Hospital told Dawn that complaints against Dr Niazi had been surfacing since long.
He said in the recent past, Dr Niazi had misbehaved with the King Edward Medical University (KEMU) vice chancellor and other senior faculty members by making a forced entry into the admin offices.
He said some evidences, including CCTV footages, had been sent to the authorities concerned for action against Dr Niazi and his colleagues showing their rude entry into the VC office but of no avail. He said the group enjoyed backing of some senior medics with vested interest.
Dr Niazi had allegedly also tortured attendants of a pregnant woman in the Lady Aitchison Hospital a couple of months back for protesting after the death of a newborn.
Police official manning the Mayo Hospital check post, Mohammad Riaz, said the patient locked up by the doctors was freed because of his health condition.
He, however, said patient’s brother Waqas was still in police custody as the doctors wanted to get him booked for "hurling threats at them".
"YDA Mayo Hospital condemned the barbarian act and we also appeal to the KEMU VC as well as Mayo Hospital MS to take strict notice of it to hold the assailant medics accountable," YDA Mayo Hospital chapter president Dr Shoib Khan Niazi said.
He said the victim patient and his attendants had approached the YDA office bearers shortly after the incident.

Israel suspended its cooperation with UNESCO on Friday, a day after the UN cultural agency adopted a draft resolution that Israel says denies the deep, historic Jewish connection to holy sites in Jerusalem.
Kishida said the decision is based on "comprehensive" observations. Japan disputes China's historical views on the 1937 massacre and has criticized the UNESCO decision.
