-Lurid Crime Tales-
Official Says Voter Fraud Could Have Swayed Senate Race
[GP] The Daily Mail is reporting that the Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach said on Monday that 6,000 people registered to vote in the State of New Hampshire using out-of-state IDs.

This is very significant because the race in New Hampshire was decided by a 1,017-vote margin. While registering to vote in another state is not a crime actually voting in another state is a crime. While officials are still looking into the situation in New Hampshire it is worth noting that voters would not register to vote somewhere if they didn’t intend to vote.

From The Daily Mail:

The Kansas official in charge of a multi-state voter registration ’crosscheck’ program said Monday that on Election Day, 6,000 people registered to vote in New Hampshire using drivers licenses from other states.

...That, Kris Kobach told CNN, supports the White House’s contention that America’s voting system suffers great enough incidence of fraud to swing an election....

New Hampshire Democratic Sen. Maggie Hassan unseated Republican incumbent Kelly Ayotte in November by just 1,017 votes, out of more than 707,000 cast...

...’New Hampshire is a same-day registration state. And on election day, Nov. 8, 2016, 6,000 people registered in New Hampshire using an out-of-state driver’s license as their form of identification,’ he said.

#1  Good chance a lot of the voter registrations using out-of-state IDs were people who were indeed NH residents, but who had 'neglected' to get NH IDs, perhaps to save money replacing an unexpired DL, perhaps to avoid changing insurance rates, or having to re-take a test, or just because it is a big inconvenience to navigate the DL bureaucracy. It does show the whole voter integrity system is vulnerable to fraud though.

#2  That's an awful lot of new people in New Hampshire, Glenmore, and waited until election day to register? Doesn't pass the smell test.

#3  Don't forget that NH is right next to MASS ant Vermont.

I'm sure that it wouldn't take much to get a few "transient" voters across the borders.
Posted by: AlanC || 02/14/2017 12:19 Comments || Top||

#4  Deacon, in Louisiana we have some of the most expensive car insurance around, and you can't get your LA DL without it. As a result you will find that almost anyone who can stay licensed elsewhere does so (and only regrets it when they get in a wreck and the insurance company refuses to pay...) If some election came along they felt strongly enough about, they might go 'home' so they could vote. I don't know how MA costs compare with NH, but there are lots of people who move back and forth between the two states; many may have picked this election to vote - and vote in NH.

#5  Kobach is good, and if he says so, I'd take a look.

It is very possible his work on voter ID contributed to Pat Roberts still having his seat.

-Short Attention Span Theater-
Musicians ask Trump for money help after Grammys bashing
President Trump's political opponents in the music industry would like his help in at least one regard: The laws that govern who makes money off of music.

"The Recording Academy, together with America's music makers, call on the president and Congress to help keep the music playing by updating music laws, protecting music education, and renewing America's commitment to the arts," Neil Portnow, the president of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, said during the 2017 Grammy Awards Sunday night.

The recording industry wants radio stations to be required to pay royalties to artists whose music is played on their stations. "Big radio corporations make billions of dollars from music but pay nothing to artists and producers and Recording Companies, who cares about the artists!" the GrammyPro website says. "Other provisions of copyright law force songwriters and performers to accept below market pay for their music."
I'd be happy to couple royalties to a proper, public and open accounting of music labels and movie studios. Plus Glenn Reynolds' proposal to repeal the "Hollywood Tax Credits"...

Liberals blame Adele’s Grammy sweep on white supremacy
[REDALERTPOLITICS] On Sunday night’s 59th annual Grammy awards, British singer-songwriter Adele took home the top honors. The songstress won all five awards she was nominated for including Record and Song of the Year for "Hello," and Album of the Year for 25.

However,
man does not live by words alone, despite the fact that sometimes he has to eat them...
the biggest takeaway was that Adele upset Beyoncé for her hit song "Formation" and album Lemonade. While Adele was thrilled for being the first artist to sweep the top honors twice, many of Beyoncé’s fans blamed white supremacy for her victory.

Gov. Jerry Brown Asks Trump For Fed Funds To Clean Up Storm Damage
[DAILYCALLER] Gov. Jerry Governor Moonbeam Brown
... those who ignore history are bound to repeat it ...
asked President Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States...
for federal funds Friday night to clean up damage a series of deadly storms cused last month that helped end Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party,’s long drought.

Brown is asking the White House for $162 million in federal aid to contend with storms that caused flash floods, power outages, and damage to various state-funded projects.

An "atmospheric river storm system" that unleashed days of "relentless heavy precipitation" caused the damage, the California Democrat wrote in a letter to Trump.

"The impacts associated with this series of storms were substantial and widespread, devastating much of California," the letter reads.

Brown declared a state of emergency Jan. 23 in 49 counties of California’s 58 counties. He added three more counties to that tally Friday: Amador, Mono and Riverside.

#9  A great article on the dam. Article pointed out by Frank

From another article by the same guy: ". Anyone in Dam Safety knows that an emergency spillway is not the same as a forest. An emergency spillway should be a grassed, even slope. No woody vegetation should be in the spillway. Part of the emergency spillway was cleared only days before it had to be used, leaving the worst possible surface to receive flow, loose soil. That is simply ridiculous."

#12  I saw that yesterday there was the suggestion of using fire pumpers as an auxiliary to the spillway. I hope somebody in the circle at least thought of that. Some considerations:

Lake water is dirty and will chew up the equipment. Even if a siphon is set up, that is hundreds of feet of hose, plus filters on the lake end, have to watch the pressures. Tommy Lee Jones could pull it off, but so far I am not seeing the logistics planning to pull it off; replace hoses, food and water for the workers, gasoline for pumps, so forth. Stockpiling should have begun a couple weeks ago.

I like the thinking. I think I saw another 4" is expected?

Hey, how about a shitpot of them concrete tubes, make an crappy aquaduct instead of dumping a bunch of rock?

This is why we check the air pressure on the spare a couple times a year, and especially before a road trip...on the side of the road is too late.

#14  The stupid train was passed by voters, I'm not sure what meanboom could have done.

The dam and other issues though are on him. While Southern California took the draught seriously and built cisterns to capture rain so it could be used later Northern California did nothing, not even invest in maintaining the infrastructure they already had.

So many fools invested in the drought caused by global warming they forgot that California has El Nino (tons of rain) and La Nina (drought) all the time. Preparing for a very regularly reoccurring event is not rocket science.

true, but there were statutory obligations in the Voter Proposition (no public subsidies to operations, adequate ridership #s, private investment before future phases could go forward, 2 hr LA to SF trip, etc....) and the CA Dems AND MOONBEAM hisself are violating the law and intent of the Proposition. If put up for a re-vote, I'd hope the voters would see how they were lied to and revolt. That's the effort now, hence they are spending money as fast as possible to build facts on the ground even though it goes from nowhere to nowhere in the Central Valley. *SPIT*

Russian lawmakers cry foul over resignation of Flynn (Video)
[ABC] Russian lawmakers have been reacting with outrage to the resignation of President Donald Trump’s national security adviser Michael Flynn, calling it the result of American paranoia towards Moscow and a campaign by Trump’s opponents to damage relations between Russia and the United States.

Flynn resigned on Monday after it emerged that he misled White House officials about his discussions with Russia’s ambassador to Washington ahead of Trump’s inauguration.

In his resignation letter, Flynn said he had "inadvertently" briefed Vice President Mike Pence and others with "incomplete information" on calls with the Russian ambassador, Sergey Kislyak. Flynn came under fire for discussing U.S. sanctions on Russia with the ambassador back in December.

The Kremlin has confirmed the calls but denied the sanctions were mentioned.

Georgian priest charged with conspiracy to murder senior cleric
Prosecutors in Georgia have charged a high-ranking priest with conspiracy to murder after he was found to have attempted to fly out to visit the country’s religious leader with cyanide in his baggage. Deacon Giorgi Mamaladze was detained at Tbilisi airport on 10 February, Georgia’s prosecutor general, Irakli Shotadze, told journalists on Monday.

Shotadze said Mamaladze, director of the property department of the Georgian Orthodox Church, had been on his way to Germany to meet with the ageing Georgian Orthodox patriarch, Ilia II, who is recuperating from gall-bladder surgery in Berlin. Police also reportedly found firearms at the priest’s home.

The alleged scandal has shaken the small, deeply religious country, which claims to have been the second nation to adopt Christianity in the fourth century.

“We avoided a huge disaster. A crime against our country, a perfidious attack on our church, has been prevented,” the Georgian prime minister, Giorgi Kvirikashvili, said on Monday, Interfax news agency reported.

Kvirikashvili said he had sent the head of his personal security and a group of agents to Germany to protect the patriarch, who in the past has offered to baptise any infant born to parents of more than two children, sparking a baby boom.

The 84-year-old patriarch has recently suffered from poor health, and was supported by a bodyguard when Pope Francis visited him in Tbilisi in September.

Shotadze did not name the highly placed church official he alleged Mamaladze had been plotting to kill. But his statement came after Rustavi 2 television reported on Sunday night that there may have been an attempt to poison Ilia II.

Shotadze said the investigation had started after an acquaintance claimed that Mamaladze had asked him for cyanide in exchange for money and other “illegal benefits”.

Archbishop Andria, speaking to Rustavi 2 about the arrest, said “any such action by a priest is unbelievable”. Archpriest Shio Paichadze said he did not believe the accusations, recalling that Mamaladze had had a close relationship with the patriarch.

Archpriest Vsevolod Chaplin, a prominent voice in the Russian Orthodox Church, told the National News Service on Monday he believed there was a “political subtext” to the apparent attempt on Ilia II’s life, which he said could be an attempt to pressure the influential Georgian Orthodox Church.

If convicted, Mamaladze, who is also head of the St Anne and Joachim medical centre, could face up to 15 years in prison.

Quoting government sources, other media reports claim Mr Kim died after being jabbed by a poisoned needle by two women in the city's airport.
So he was smart enough not to eat the sushi but not smart enough to stay away from a pretty girl...
The women are believed to be North Korean agents but have so far been able to evade a police hunt.
Any direct flights to Pyongyang? Or to Beijing with a connector?
Police in Malaysia told Reuters that an unidentified North Korean man had died en route to hospital from Kuala Lumpur airport on Monday.

Mohmad Salleh, the Malaysian CID director, told the Telegraph: "Kim Jong Nam was feeling unwell on Monday morning while he was waiting for a flight to Macau at KLIA.

"He was taken to KLIA clinic for further treatment, but because of the condition he was in, he was rushed to Putrajaya hospital, but passed away soon after arriving.

"Police have classified the death of Kim Jong Nam as sudden death and are waiting for the full postmortem report to decide further action."

Abdul Aziz Ali, police chief for the Sepang district, said the man's identity was yet to be confirmed. However, he he been widely identified by South Korean media as Kim Jong-nam.

An employee in the emergency ward of Putrajaya hospital told Reuters that a deceased Korean who was born in 1970 and surnamed Kim had been taken there.
Continues, but you get the drift.

Orbán names Soros and EU among those ‘attacking’ Hungary
[EURACTIV] In the annual State of the Union address on Friday (10 February) Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán listed among those who "attacked" his country billionaire George Soros
...the secretive Hungarian born Ernst Stavro Blofeld-like billionaire who seems to fund every horrible progressive organization you can think of...
and the European Union
...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing...
The EPP-affiliated politician lashed out against left-wing politics, the liberal media and international human rights
One man's rights are another man's existential threat.
organizations.

Together they had created a "worldwide network" to deliver "hundreds of thousands of migrants colonists" into Europe. "The former government of the US and the governments in Brussels and Berlin have ensured that immigrants colonists cannot be stopped, but we have done so," Orbán told his audience.

Orbán claimed Soros and groups backed by him wanted to secretly influence the country’s politics. He insisted that groups receiving funding from Hungarian-born Soros needed to be made transparent and identifiable.

Great White North
A BLM loon explains black liberation biology fo de white regressive gene folks
[TorontoSun] A co-founder of Black Lives Matter Toronto argued that white people are “recessive genetic defects” and purportedly mused about how the race could be “wiped out,” according to a post on what appears to be her Facebook page.

Yusra Khogali has faced increased scrutiny over the past year after BLM Toronto gained political influence following their disruption of the Toronto Pride parade and confrontations with Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne.

On Friday, Toronto Police announced they would not participate in this year’s upcoming parade. This has been a longstanding demand of BLM TO and one that the board of Pride Toronto recently backed in a controversial vote.

Khogali has a track record of inflammatory, divisive rhetoric.

Only last week during a protest in front of the US consulate Khogali shouted into a microphone that “Justin Trudeau is a white supremacist terrorist” and urged the crowd to “rise up and fight back.”

“Look at us, we have the numbers,” she said.

She also faced controversy in the news for a tweet posted a year ago stating: “Plz Allah give me strength to not cuss/kill these men and white folks out here today.”

While these remarks alarmed many Canadians, they pale in comparison to a statement numerous sources forwarded to the Sun that Khogali appears to have posted on Facebook in late 2015.

“Whiteness is not humxness,” the statement begins. “infact, white skin is sub-humxn.” The post goes on to present a genetics-based argument centred on melanin and enzyme.

“White ppl are recessive genetic defects. this is factual,” the post reads towards the end. “white ppl need white supremacy as a mechanism to protect their survival as a people because all they can do is produce themselves. black ppl simply through their dominant genes can literally wipe out the white race if we had the power to.”

Khogali did not respond to requests for comment from the Sun.

#1  Just look at Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi. Lot of truth in what she sez. And we have to remember that half the white Liberals out there who are friends( good friends) of BLM hate Trump and everything he stands for.

But then , they are looking at eight years of Trump and that has to do things to their minds. "Wiping people out" can be hot sweaty work even on the best of days. And telling people about it before you get busy is not the wisest strategy.

Yusra Khogali is a common name in Swahili or Tanzania ? Maybe New Jersey, I could be wrong. It COULD be Multi-Cultural perhaps.

LTG Mike Flynn resigns as National Security Advisor
[NYT] WASHINGTON -- Michael T. Flynn, the national security adviser, resigned on Monday night after it was revealed that he had misled Vice President Mike Pence and other top White House officials about his conversations with the Russian ambassador to the United States.

Mr. Flynn, who served in the job for less than a month, said he had given "incomplete information" to about a telephone call he had with the ambassador in late December about American sanctions against Russia, weeks before Mr. Trump’s inauguration. Mr. Flynn previously had denied that he had any substantive conversations with Ambassador Sergey I. Kislyak, and Mr. Pence repeated that claim in television as recently as earlier this month.

But on Monday, a former administration official said the Justice Department last month warned the White House that Mr. Flynn had not been fully forthright about his conversations with the ambassador. As a result, the Justice Department feared that Mr. Flynn could be vulnerable to blackmail by Moscow.

In his resignation letter, which the White House emailed to reporters, Mr. Flynn said he had held numerous calls with foreign officials during the transition. "Unfortunately, because of the fast pace of events, I inadvertently briefed the Vice President Elect and others with incomplete information regarding my phone calls with the Russian Ambassador," he wrote. "I have sincerely apologized to the President and the Vice President, and they have accepted my apology."

The White House said in the statement that it was replacing Mr. Flynn with retired Lt. General Joseph Keith Kellogg, Jr., a Vietnam War veteran, as acting national security adviser.
That's fast. Could it be that President Trump has a deep bench?
Mr. Flynn was an early and ardent supporter of Mr. Trump’s candidacy, and in his resignation he sought to the praise the president. "In just three weeks," Mr. Flynn said, the new president "has reoriented American foreign policy in fundamental ways to restore America’s leadership position in the world."

But in doing so, he inadvertently illustrated the brevity of his tumultuous run at the National Security Council, and the chaos that has gripped the White House in the first weeks of the Trump administration -- and created a sense of uncertainty around the world.

Officials said Mr. Pence has told others in the White House that he believes Mr. Flynn lied to him by saying he had not discussed the topic of sanctions on a call with the Russian ambassador in late December. Even the mere discussion of policy -- and the apparent attempt to assuage the concerns of an American adversary before Mr. Trump took office -- represents a remarkable breach of protocol.

Same topic, at The Daily Caller.

However, after anonymous U.S. officials leaked a transcript of a call between Flynn and Kislyak showing that the topic was discussed, Flynn said the topic may have come up, but he had forgotten.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Some Burger King Locations Are Putting S*x Toys in 'Adult' Meals for Valentine's Day

While most of us might agree that a Valentine's Day date at a fast food joint is kind of the worst thing ever, Burger King is prepared to fight that stigma. This year, the Israeli version of the OG chain is offering a romantic boxed food for two called the Adults Meal--designed for those 18 and older, so bring your ID--that comes with two Whoppers, two packets of fries, two beers, and a "romantic adult toy." Spoiler alert: That means s*x toy.

"Kids' meal? That's for kids," the commercial's narrator seductively declares, before informing us that "Burger King presents the Adults Meal, with an adult toy inside. Only on Valentine's Day." The deal will only be available at BK locations in Israel on Feb. 14, from 6 p.m. until closing.

Based on the commercial ad agency Leo Burnett Israel released, the adult toy options are more gimmicky than risque, and include a lacy blindfold, a tiny feather duster, and ... a head massager? Hey, we won't judge the people out there with scalp fetishes. But we're hoping the blindfold comes wrapped in plastic, because putting a grease-soaked mask on your face can't be good for those sebaceous filaments you've been trying to beat.

Can't get to Israel but still want your share of the fast-food approach to love? French Burger King locations are offering a Valentine's Cup for two features a lid with two holes for bendy straws, so you and your loved one can share a drink without spillage. Now that's romance!

No word on whether American locations plan to step up their love game, but until we hear, we suggest you check out the commercial for Burger King Israel's Adults Meals below.
Try this in one of the seven countries with the travel suspension and see how far you get. :-)

‘Dilbert’ creator Scott Adams shouldn’t fear speaking at UC Berkeley
[MERCURYNEWS] Scott Adams, the politically controversial creator of the syndicated comic strip "Dilbert," shouldn’t turn his back on his alma mater UC Berkeley following a violent protest that prevented right-wing provocateur Milo Yiannopoulos from speaking there nearly two weeks ago.
"No, no! You and your checkbook are both welcome!"
That’s the message of John Morgan, a professor at Berkeley’s Haas School of Business, who has issued a personal invitation to the East Bay-based Adams to come to campus and speak freely on any political topic.
Once.
Morgan also addressed Adams’ publicly stated concerns that the Yiannopoulos protests suggests he would be unsafe visiting Berkeley because of his political views. Morgan said he would personally escort the comic strip artist and author around campus. "I will welcome you warmly and personally escort you around to ensure your safety," Morgan said in an open letter he published on his LinkedIn. "If my personal protection should prove insufficient for your needs, I will engage the resources of the Haas School to provide additional security."
I don't suppose either was made available to Milo? Why not?
In an interview, Morgan said he issued the invitation because he was disheartened to see Adams declare he was withdrawing "all support" from his alma mater in the wake of the protests.
"The money hath flown!"
Two days after Yiannapoulos’ scheduled appearance, Adams took to his blog to announce that he, too, doesn’t feel "safe or welcome on campus" because of his political views. For that reason, he said, he would no longer support the public institution where he earned his MBA.
