#5  thanks trailing wife, i kept trying and couldn't see it so i kept trying

apologies

it's amazing delving into the wikileaks you find that the Clintons are allied with all the major corporations and they are all arrayed against Mr Trump

it will be a miracle if he can beat them

worse, they all knew they were doing wrong, taking bribes in return for favours at State

They used a shell company called Teneo to launder the bribes

Bill Clinton was sure to get off the advisory board in 2011

on legal advice
https://wikileaks.org/podesta-emails/emailid/5486

also in 2011 the head of Teneo complained about signing a conflict of interest document when Bill Clinton did so much worse... and they deleted billionaire Marc Lasry's name as well due to an audit

"ddly, wjc does not have to sign such a document even though he is personally paid by 3 cgi sponsors, gets many expensive gifts from them, some that are at home etc
I could add 500 different examples of things like this and while I removed lasry bc they are all on the offense,"

#9  i think she'll be done on travel expenses.

her flights racked up $225,756 in costs during Clinton’s time in the Senate, from 2001 to early 2009, according to Bloomberg.

But guess who is a client of Teneo? They advise Bloomberg, Goldman Sachs, Coca Cola and billionaire Marc Lasry who runs hedge fund Avenue Capital Group

Avenue gave hillary a jet to fly around on for $408 in 2006 when she was campaigning for Senate

Teneo got its clients to donate to the Clinton Foundation and the clintons both in cash and kind

I wouldn't be surprised if Hillary billed the taxpayer that $200k in airline ticket travel expenses, but got the flights for free (or a peppercorn rate) thus pocketing the difference

#10  Are the Clinton's uniquely corrupt or are we just seeing the details of the sort of corruption that commonly goes on.

It is interesting how few politicians are truly disgusted by the corruption as the voters are.

Africa Subsaharan
Trump's tone resonates in strongman-weary Africa
[The Hill] KAMPALA, Uganda ‐ Donald Trump’s presidential campaign has had surprising resonance in parts of Africa where people are weary of the political establishment and see the real estate mogul as a global force for change.

Despite famously pushing an "America first" foreign policy and appearing to show little interest in events outside the U.S., the Republican nominee for president is enjoying a strong amount of popularity in Uganda and other African nations, a week out from Election Day.

Trump is also up against Hillary Clinton, a woman known on the international stage for more than two decades, most recently as a globetrotting secretary of State, and whose family foundation has helped to save millions from malaria, HIV/AIDS and other diseases -- including many Africans.
Yet for many in and around this capital city, scattered across hills in the jungle of East Africa, Trump’s candidacy represents a strike against political dynasties and the established order that has kept strongmen such as their own president in power for decades. Trump’s tough rhetoric and a fake viral quote have boosted his appeal to many looking for a change.

"Trump has presented himself as a candidate that is anti-establishment, that he wants to turn around things and cause a revolution of some sort," said Moses Khisa, a lecturer in political science at Northwestern University and columnist for a Ugandan newspaper.
Con't.

#2  Interesting. Especially because so many others beyond our borders have been loudly proclaiming disapproval of Mr. Trump, which will become amusingly awkward should he win.
Posted by: trailing wife || 11/03/2016 9:07 Comments || Top||

#3  I think that Trump could turn out to be a major force for change in the world. Not sure he will, but he could.

If nothing else, a Trump victory would restore a lot of the checks and balances in our system as all the anti-Trumpers take to the media to high light any contretemps that may occur.

This would also be the first time in the social media age where there was a non-elite insider in the WH. Could be interesting. Of course if Evita wannabe dictator Crime Queen Hillary is elected all bets are off and we may find out what happens post United States.

Queen Offers to Restore British Rule Over United States
Moved to Opinion because The New Yorker labelled it "humor".
In an unexpected televised address on Saturday, Queen Elizabeth II offered to restore British rule over the United States of America.
Jolly good!
Addressing the American people from her office in Buckingham Palace, the Queen said that she was making the offer "in recognition of the desperate situation you now find yourselves in."

"This two-hundred-and-forty-year experiment in self-rule began with the best of intentions, but I think we can all agree that it didn't end well," she said.

The Queen urged Americans to write in her name on Election Day, after which the transition to British rule could begin "with a minimum of bother."

Elizabeth acknowledged that, in the wake of Brexit, Americans might justifiably be alarmed about being governed by the British parliamentary system, but she reassured them, "Parliament would play no role in this deal. This would be an old-school monarchy. Just me, and then, assuming you'd rather not have Charles, we could go straight to William and those children of his who have mesmerized you so."

Using the closing moments of her speech to tout her credentials, the Queen made it clear that she has never used e-mail and has only had sex with one person "very occasionally."

The Case for Donald Trump on National Defense
[BreakingDefense.com] Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton have not shown interest in appropriately resourcing our military, with the president presiding over hundreds of billions in dollars in cuts to national defense, an unprecedented readiness crisis, and the shrinking of our military to near historic lows. As a presidential candidate, Hillary Clinton has failed to discuss our national defense at all, refusing to address a subject that will, perhaps more than any other, shape the next Commander-in-Chief’s options on the world stage.

By contrast, Donald Trump has laid out a comprehensive, detailed, and forward-looking vision for the future of the American military. It is predicated on "peace through strength" and a sober appraisal of US national interests. Mr. Trump understands that, without a revitalized and strengthened military, the ability to shape events globally to our advantage is substantially diminished. He understands the crisis our military is facing, both now and long-term if current trends persist, and has vowed at nearly every campaign stop to make rebuilding our military a national project.

The facts are clear and disturbing. Under the Obama administration, the Navy has shrunk to its smallest size since World War I. The Army is the smallest it has been since before World War II. The Air Force is the smallest in its history, and its aircraft are the oldest. Readiness levels across the services are the worst in a generation, with pilots facing significantly reduced cockpit time and deferring critical maintenance, Navy ships and crews deploying as long as 10 months, and Army units are deferring critical training before deployments. The horror story of naval aviators taking spare aircraft parts from museums to keep their planes flying is simply unacceptable for those who wear our nation’s uniform.

India-Pakistan
The changing face of local militancy in Balochistan
[DAWN] In what has been unravelling like a game of whack-a-mole for the state and the disturbing array of Death Eater groups spread across the country, there seems to be no clear end in sight.
Until Pakistain disbands all religious parties they won't even begin to get a handle on the problem -- always assuming they see it as a problem.
On Oct 24, Quetta’s air was once again echoing with the sound of ambulances as armed Lions of Islam successfully infiltrated the city’s police training academy, killing 62 young men.

In the global fight against terrorism, unlikely alliances between militant groups have been a regular feature and the Islamic State, cornered in the Middle East, is finding newer allies in this part of the world.
The attack on Quetta’s police academy is part of a series of attacks in Pakistain’s urban centres staged by the Lashkar-e-Jhangvi
