-Signs, Portents, and the Weather-
I'm with KG. It's the 'admissions' we should be reducing.
Excerpt: [FOX 'The Five'] Kimberly Guilfoyle - Yes, I think that President Trump, like I said last night, was being very consistent with this campaign promise. He promised that he was going to do this. I don't think this is a deal that anybody should be crying about. Like we said, it's nonbinding. And the United States is already a clean energy, oil and gas leader.

So, we can keep doing what we're doing. We can keep reducing our admissions. Why would we, in fact, put ourselves at an economic disadvantage, giving and subsidizing an economic windfall to other countries and sort of a climate redistribution of wealth scheme? It makes no sense to me.

#1  Well. She was married to Gavin Newsome, RINO extraordinare. She also was an ADA in San Fran Sicko. I get queasy every time I hear her name floated for a Trump admin job.

She should stay on "The Five (most insipid people on TV)" or return to "OutDumbered."

#2  Yes, she needs to stay with 'The Five' and keep her phone conversations with POTUS to herself. Phoning KG could put just about any married man in the dog house.

#3  climate redistribution of wealth scheme

Was from the beginning.

And it has morphed into a quasi-religion on the Left, whose worldview is pretty much, everything is going to ratshit.

Which I think in large part is why the Left loathes Trump, because he was/is selling optimism.

This Week in Guns, June 3rd, 2017

By Chris Covert
Rantburg.com

Hershel Smith goes over a bit of doggerel in which the writer tries to link guns and gun control to illegal immigration. I suggest you forgo the unreadable stuff and focus in on what Smith has to say.

Loads.

Rantburg's summary for arms and ammunition:

Pistol ammunition prices were mostly steady. Rifle ammunition prices were mostly steady.

Prices for used pistols were mixed. Prices for used rifles were mostly higher.

The nationwide average price for a used AR-10 pattern semiautomatic has dropped to a historic low at $766. The drop, as sharp as it appears to be, is still almost $100 more than the average of historical nationwide lows of $660.

The AR-10 pattern doesn't get much respect. Two competing platforms are available, the DPMS Generations I and II, and the Armalite AR-10. The DPMS pattern rifles are very cheap while the AR-10 is much more expensive. As I recall, the rifle hit a historic low in the summer of 2015, all from the DPMS patterns, from which prices did recover.

Although AR-15 pattern semiautomatic rifles rose slightly for the week, prices for those rifles still appear to be in decline. The decline continues the trend begun in March, 2017.

Defense Department Officially Recognizes Humanism and Heathen as Religions
[PJ] Last month, the Department of Defense (DOD) announced that it will officially recognize a large host of small religions, including Humanism, Heathen, and even the Church of the Spiral Tree.

"Beyond Humanism, the new listing is a win for diversity in general," Jason Torpy, president of the Military Association of Atheists and Freethinkers, said in a statement. "There is also reason to celebrate other additions. For example, Heathen, Asatru, and Troth designations are long-awaited and well-deserved among the Earth-Centered Community."

The list was released in the context of a letter providing "Faith and Belief Codes" for 221 different religions, expanding the official list beyond the earlier 100. Besides adding heathens and humanists, the list also includes eight more Protestant groups, and expands "Jewish" to encompass Orthodox, Conservative, and Reform Judaism.

Torpy, a 1998 West Point alum, emphasized that the new memo provides new authority for alternative faith groups. "This new directive has paved the way for good chaplains to do the right thing for Humanists and other nontheists in the military," he wrote (emphasis his). "Having Humanist on the list of options will help chaplains to see and provide for the Humanist needs that have always been there in units throughout the military."
